About this apartment rental
This Seattle rental unit a 5-minute walk from Lake Union and Eastlake and a 6-minute drive or bus ride to downtown. The University of Washington is less than 5 miles away. This home is a Duplex, main level Apartment :)
The space
Welcome to Seattle! This well-loved apartment has a comfy vibe, featuring 2 bedrooms, a breezy living space and a fully equipped kitchen. Parking included!
Note: This rental faces the freeway, so our location is not Seattle's most scenic, and some traffic noise is unavoidable. Because we rent the upstairs unit, and our home was built in 1904, you may hear the upstairs guests, as well. In short, this apartment is great for those on a budget who plan to spend the majority of their time out and about exploring Seattle.
The city’s premier attractions are just minutes away. Stroll to Lake Union and Eastlake in 5 minutes or drive to downtown in 6 minutes. No car? The bus stop is right in front of our house so catch a ride into the heart of downtown.
The University of Washington is less than 5 miles away. Or appreciate the finer things at University Village, home to premier wining and dining and upscale shopping.
Local restaurants are also in plentiful supply. Check out Blind Pig Bistro for contemporary American dishes and tasting menus, or indulge in Venetian-inspired cuisine at Cicchetti – both within a 3-4 minute walk.
Bringing more than 4 guests? Please ask us about separately renting the 2BR/1BA unit upstairs, which comfortably sleeps 6 more.
INSIDE THE HOUSE
This apartment is on the bottom floor of a two-unit home. Spend time relaxing or planning a day of sightseeing in the living room.
A functional kitchen features classic white cabinets, wooden countertops and appliances, including a coffeemaker and microwave. Plenty of storage and prep space makes cooking a breeze.
Two tastefully furnished bedrooms offer sleeping space for 4, both with queen-size beds.
After a day of strolling around town, a compact bathroom with a claw foot tub offers a relaxing place for a long, hot soak.
Guest access
Please do not bother the other unit or attempt to go into the basement.
Other things to note
The heating system can be difficult to figure out. The main thermostat is in the shared area when you first walk in, but then you can control each room by turning the knob on the radiant heaters. Just be aware that the main thermostat is shared by the guests above.

After a hectic day of site seeing it was a great and convenient place to crash for the night. Clean, older home with lots of old home charm. Comfortable beds.

If you have ever been curious about what it would be like to live in one of the old (1909) homes, large and beautiful, now is your chance. There are different units, so like most of these homes, you won't see the entire building. It has been very well maintained and the furniture is in keeping with the time. I enjoyed sitting on the back porch. There is parking that is easy to access - an essential in Seattle. The street in front is busy, but it didn't create road noise in the back bedroom. The location is near the freeway entrance, making it quick to get around town.

WA locals came to stay for opening weekend of the Mariners & had a lovely time. Definitely an old home with wonderful quirks. Squeeky original floors and the bathroom light switch is in the hall. (That one took a minute to figure out) I wouldn’t even say downside but just something to think of is it is on a very busy street during rush hour & kind of hard to get in & out of the driveway at 4-6pm but the rest of our time there was just perfect. Easy access to the highway & plenty of options to order for dinner.

We have stayed here twice while visiting our daughter who lives down the street. It’s convenient, clean and comfortable. Chris was very responsive.

We enjoyed a 6 night stay at this charming and tidy bungalow in the eastlake neighborhood of Seattle. The host provides great communication. The beds were comfortable and the parking was convenient. The little porch off the kitchen was a pleasant surprise! Because it is an older building, the electrical outlets were sparce. Also, beware that this property is on a busy street adjacent to the highway. We understood this when we booked and expected road noise. All the same we slept very well. The kitchen could use updating but since we didn’t cook it was not an issue for us. Overall it’s a great value and I would happily stay here again.

Good location for UW drop-off. Close to several restaurants. If hearing noise overhead or traffic noise will bother you, prob not the right place, but owner was very responsive about the quiet hours and the the traffic noise just blends in and we didn’t notice it. The parking spots were a little stressful next to a busy road but appreciated having a guaranteed spot for sure.

Came for mariners game. We were able to park at the property early as the game started before check in. Everything was clean, beds were comfy and the AC unit worked great

My daughter and I had wonderful weekend! The home has 2 lovely bedrooms, a nice kitchen and comfortable living room. Great location and easy to get anywhere you want to go. Just under 20 minutes to the airport. Near coffee shops and the houseboats you'll know from Sleepless in Seattle! Would definitely stay again!
