About this apartment rental
Powderhorn 215 has a larger floor-plan than the typical Solitude 1 BR w/ Den condos; den is larger and more private, and living room and kitchen are larger. Comfortable king bed with memory foam topper in BR, twin over full bunk bed with stairs in Den, and queen sofa-bed with upgraded memory foam mattress (it's actually comfortable!) in Living Room. High thread count linens. Beautiful Utah nature photo artwork on the walls. HD TV with cable in BR and LR; 55' Smart TV has internet access and free Netflix. High-speed wireless internet access. Kitchen cabinets form a full 'U' making it more pleasant for cooking and entertaining. This condo has good views of the ski resort and adjacent mountains and overlooks the quaint village and ice skating rink. Enjoy all the amenities of Club Solitude, such as fitness center, billiards, swimming pool and hot tubs. In addition, Powderhorn Lodge has its own hot tub, ski storage lockers and underground parking - all just steps from the lifts so you can access Utah powder quickly!! We are taking all care to sanitize surfaces in our condo and scheduling extra time for cleaning so rest assured that the unit will be safe and clean for you. During COVID or in the event of a family emergency our cancellation policy can be modified if needed as we understand that these are unusual times

This place was cozy and was just right for what we needed.
A lot of appliances and plateware. Everything you need in a kitchen and spices to cook. Makes things easy to prepare food.
Highly recommend!

What a comfortable and clean condo in a great location in the Village at Solitude! Super spacious for the two of us, and comfortable for a few more.
John, our host, could not have been kinder, or more accommodating. Hoping to be fortunate enough to book the same place on our next trip. It was definitely perfect for our needs.

The property was impressive with its cleanliness and amenities! John was very responsive and accommodating. In addition, it was very well stocked with basics. Overall, one of the best bookings we have made on vrbo. We definitely hope to be back!

I had mixed feelings about this stay. The location of Powderhorn is fantastic. We loved the short walk to the lift and the convenient ski storage. Josh was also very responsive and flexible with checking in a bit early.
That said, there were several disappointing aspects of our stay. First, when we entered the unit it smelled as if the prior renters had smoked in the unit. This took several days to air out. Second, the white towels were stained and very old. The kitchen faucet also needs repair and would run unless you turn it off just the right way (which would take multiple tries). Finally, the master bed was extremely soft so it felt like you were sleeping in a hole (totally get this is personal preference as I prefer firmer mattresses).
I think with a few minor upgrades I would give the place 5 stars (and the smoke issue was likely just bad luck).

We had a fantastic time at Solitude. John was an amazing host and provided clear instructions and was easily reachable. The condo was super well stocked and had everything we needed and more. It was super convenient to everything in Solitude - whether restaurants, club facilities and of course skiing. Would recommend PH215. We hope to be back some day.

What a great property, walking distance to everything, even the Nordic trails! The apartment was exactly as advertised, and John was very easy to communicate with. I can’t wait to return.

We love staying at Powderhorn in Solitude. This particular unit lives larger than some of the others. We appreciate that owner left the nook as a separate sleeping area and with bunk beds! Stocked with everything we need. Thank you!

Great place to have easy access to Solitude skiing. Easy walk to access lifts. A couple of food options within 100 yards. Condo is extremely well equiped with modern furniture, clean and comfortable bedding, lots of kitchen gear and access to condiments and other small items you might have forgotten. Bring flip flops for the hot tub and enjoy. Nothing but good things to say about this rental! Five stars.

This condo was perfect for our family of 5 adults during our 4 day snowboarding trip to Solitude. It was cozy and intimate without ever feeling too small. It was a nice space to connect as a family but with the king bedroom and den with a curtain, we also had some private spaces. The bathroom was very spacious as well. The condo was WELL STOCKED! We arrived very late at night so we didn't stop at the grocery store before heading up to the condo, but we had plenty of staples to get us through the next day including COFFEE. The short walk (3-5 min) through the adorable Solitude village to the Apex and Sunrise lifts couldn't have been more convenient. And while we did eventually do a grocery run in town, there was a small general store and plenty of restaurant options in the village to get a bite to eat. We also appreciated the convenient storage on the 1st floor so that we could just grab our equipment and hit the slopes!

We've stayed in this building before, and the location can't be beat! All the snow we got during our 1 week stay didn't hurt, either. The condo was spacious for the 2 of us, and would be good for a group of 4. The kitchen was well-equipped. We'd recommend this condo and would stay here again!

The property is super convenient to skiing at Solitude. The parking garage was convenient since the sol bright trail was closed while we were there and we had easy access to our car to jump over to Brighton to double the resort access. Property was clean and comfortable. Well setup and stocked kitchen. Good TV setup for my son.

Perfect location for a nice ski getaway. Short walking distance to the slopes! Seems to be one of the newer properties in the area which is nice.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Powderhorn Lodge. The condo was very comfortable & had everything we needed. It is very well stocked, which was great since there isn't a grocery store at Solitude Village. The bed was very comfortable & we could walk or bus where needed. In hindsight, I would probably rent a car next time, just to make grocery shopping or eating out easier, but the nearby restaurants were very good, just limited. The lodge hot tub was nice & the option of using the Club Solitude amenities is really nice too. Thank you for sharing your condo! We enjoyed skiing Brighton & we're able to ski back to Solitude directly. All in all a great trip! Thank you again.

One of the best condos I have rented! So we’ll stocked with supplies if you need them (shop at solitude is very sparse and they often run out of things). Very clean with a very well stocked kitchen so you can cook in. Thanks for making our Christmas memorable!

This condo was perfect for our family of four! The hosts were very accommodating when we had to change the dates of our trip. We were welcomed to the condo with fresh flowers, wine, and extra snacks for the kids! The bunk beds were a hit with the kids (especially the stairs to get to the top bunk). The master bed is exceptionally comfortable with a gorgeous view out the windows both morning and night. The kitchen was well stocked and we were able to cook with no problem every night. There are extra linens as well as very cozy blankets for the couch. The condo is easy access to everything in the village. Our stay was wonderful and we can’t wait to go back!

I was extremely happy with the unit and the amenities. The Den was nice for my 6 year old son - loved the bunk bed with steps! The location was perfect - just a short walk to the lift. The outdoor hot tub was a nice perk at the end of the day. The owners keep the unit stocked with the basics, which is SO helpful. I will be back!

Liz and John's place was the coziest and comfiest rental we've ever stayed at (and we've stayed at a lot!). Great for a family of four, the condo was packed with games and puzzles, cute and comfortable bunk beds for our kids, and was a 2 minute walk to the Apex Lift. When we arrived there were flowers, sweet treats for our kids, and wine for adults (Thank you! I had forgotten wine!). We did not utilize it, but the condo is also stocked with food--just in case you forgot anything--like pasta and jar sauce, granola bars, spices, tea, and even popcorn. We had plenty of our own food, but what a lovely gesture if you're traveling with kids and accidentally forgot something. We'd never skied Solitude before, and we were impressed with the variety of terrain and the jaw dropping views from the Summit Express Lift. The beds were comfy, the bathroom big enough for a family of four, the kitchen well-stocked, and we appreciate the gestures of hospitality that are clearly a focus of this rental. Thanks so much, Liz and John! What a great way to kick off our spring break!
