About this lodge
Pigeon Mountain Crossing in Northwest Georgia is a great place for you and your group (Families, Church groups, Corporate Retreats, etc) to escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The large lodge and divided bunkhouse make a great place to get together and still have space. Here on our eighty acres of beautiful woodlands, we provide comfortable facilities and ample space to explore. We offer a natural setting away from your many distractions to concentrate on your relationships, group dynamics, and just relax.
Our camp, nestled in the foothills of Pigeon Mountain near Lafayette, GA, is conveniently located 27 miles south of Chattanooga and 100 miles northwest of Atlanta. A 12-acre spring-fed lake accents our rolling wooded property adjoining the 20,000 acre Pigeon Mountain Wildlife Management Area.
At our family owned and operated nondenominational Christian camp, our mission is to provide a Christ centered atmosphere of fun, fellowship, and adventure. Our desire is for Pigeon Mountain Crossing visitors to experience the peacefulness of country life and hopefully take a little home as well.
Camp Facilities
Lodge:
Our rustic lakeside lodge has three spacious floors. The main level, a 2800 square foot chapel and meeting room, is a natural wood area lit by a stained glass window and fronted by a large porch overlooking the lake.
Overlooking the main level is the 720 square foot game loft, which includes pool, ping pong, air hockey, and foosball.
The dining hall and kitchen, also 2800 square feet, is located on the lake level and provides additional meeting space. (Catering also available.)
Lakeside Cabin:
This three-story cabin consists of four bunkrooms, a third floor group room, and a private family room. All 6 rooms have separate entrances and private baths.
Each bunkroom sleeps 15 and includes two showers as well as two sinks and toilets.
The third floor room will comfortably sleep 10 and has its own bathroom. This room features a front porch with a beautiful mountain view.
Our Property
Pigeon Mountain Crossing has plenty of room for hanging out, playing, and having a good time. The lake includes lots of fish, boating, and water play. Our football sized athletic field provides ample room for group activities. We offer a campfire ring stocked with plenty of wood for s'mores and stories. There are miles of hiking trails, an Octoball court, Volleyball, bocce, 9 hole disk golf course, and a creek to explore.

The adults enjoyed the laid back atmosphere, the kids all loved the wide open spaces. We loved the water, the weather was great, and we thoroughly enjoyed our family thanksgiving gathering.

Pigeon Mountain Crossing was perfect for our groups fall retreat. Plenty of space, ample activities, and a beautiful gathering space. The natural beauty of the location also allowed for our students to enjoy God’s creation.
Only complaint any student gave us was why do we have to leave so soon!

Pros: The lodge is perfect for large groups. Plenty of space, tables, chairs and activities. The separate cabin, with multiple bedrooms gave each family privacy and a quite place to retreat to. Lots of fun activities on the lake. Hosts were very accomidating and easy to communicate with.
Cons: No cell service and WiFi only available in the lodge. A portion of the road to reach lodge is very rough and rocky. Lake was extremely mucky. The volleyball, athletic field, and fire pit are about 1/3 mile (7-9 min) walk from the lodge.

We loved our stay at Pigeon Mountain Crossing! The scenery was beautiful. Everything about this listing is 5 stars! We were 5 families plus a decent amount of children, and we had plenty of room! The children absolutely their time on the property, and didn't want to leave! The little ones loved the creek that is close by. Plenty of games to play. The hosts are absolutely wonderful to work with. Quick response and willing to do anything for you. We had problems with the one ac in the bedroom and they had extra on hand and had it running in a short time. Definitely recommend this place to anyone. Hoping to go back to visit again someday!

This was our second time renting this facility for our retreat. We love it here! The Tinneys are such great people and they make it so easy to enjoy your time. We also went on two hikes in the Crockford-Pigeon Mountain Wildlife Management Area which is very close to the property. Each person has to purchase a $10 fishing license to hike, but it was worth it. It was one more addition to the already incredible property we were able to enjoy. We hope to make this our annual retreat location!

It was a large and beautiful place to relax and unwind. Me and the roughly 40 other men had a great time relaxing, fishing, and playing together. There is plenty to do and the view was stunning ! Would highly recommend for men's groups or other larger gatherings.

Great spot for a large group of people. We were able to cook/eat, hang out, and play games all in one spot. And, the beds were in a separate building so when some wanted to go to sleep they could do so quietly. Great hosts with excellent communication.

We brought our adult leadership classes here for a retreat and it was fantastic. The perfect location for our students to spread out for some personal reflection time and then to come back together to hang out and relax. We had a lot of fun with the kayaks, canoes and paddle boards.
Chuck and Melissa were wonderful hosts. They cooked us lunches and dinners and were great to be around. Very sweet and accommodating.
We would definitely suggest this property to any group.

The property is stunning! From the main building where the dining hall/kitchen is on the first floor, a beautiful meeting space on the second floor with a balcony view, and the 3rd floor loft game room. The bunk rooms are laid out very well and are well kept!
Chuck and Melissa make things so easy and are fantastic hosts. They give you great information ahead of time and are there (we arrived at 10:30 pm due to a hiccups Teo on our trip over) to help you get settled in! They are so gracious and hospitable!! Quick to help in any way. We blew a breaker while there and Chuxk was quick to come over and fix it. Very accomodating! They are the sweetest folks and truly seem to love what they do. Check out pigeon mountain crossing if you're looking for a place to get away! It does not disappoint!!

We traveled with our best friends’ family to Pigeon Mountain Crossing and had an absolutely wonderful time. It’s like being back at summer except having the whole camp to ourselves! The main house and bunk house are clean and cozy. There are lots of fun activities on site (Ga Ga Ball was a favorite for us). And there is great air conditioning, which is critical in the summer! Melissa and Chuck are very responsive, kind hosts. We also went on a number of beautiful hikes in nearby parks.
