About this house rental
Our end unit townhome is located on the second fairway of the Black Bear Course at Bear Trap Dunes. Enjoy spectacular sunsets over the golf course and pond from the screened back porch, sun deck, wrap-around front porch or from any seat in the family room, kitchen and master bedroom. Now featuring a Peloton for guest use.
Whether you are looking for family time at the beach or a fun golf getaway, Bear Trap Dunes is a great place for your vacation. The Community is located just two and half miles from Bethany Beach with convenient bus shuttles (in season) that take the hassle out of parking. Or you can enjoy the 27-hole championship golf course with practice facility, pro shop and clubhouse. The clubhouse features a bar/grill area for golfers and the Bistro restaurant which is great for families. There are also two outdoor pools, one indoor pool (for those rainy days), fitness center basketball course and 5 tennis courts available to our guests. All are within walking distance of our home. Guests must pay a weekly access fee to use the community amenities other than the golf course. This fee is paid at the Pavilion and does not go to property owner. Guest passes cost $55 per person per week From Memorial Day through Labor Day and are $40 all other times. Passes are not required for children under 4 years old.
Our home has 4 bedrooms and 3.5 baths and is great for two families, or a foursome of golfers. There are 2 master bedrooms with full baths - one on the first floor with a King bed, the other upstairs with a Queen bed. The other two bedrooms are upstairs. One has a pair of twin beds, and the other has four twin beds. They share a “Jack and Jill” style bathroom. The first floor has a queen sleep sofa to allow for up to 12 people. ***Linens and towels are NOT provided however***
Our home is smoke-free (but cigars are welcome on the porch).
The kitchen is fully equipped, has an island with seating for four and opens to the dining area and the large family room. While enjoying this family space, you may also watch TV, treat yourself to the warmth of the gas fireplace, read a book, put together a jigsaw puzzle or play one of the assortments of games provided. There is a den off the kitchen with a smart TV, and DVD player for a separate kid-friendly area. There are also 4 bicycles available for use by our renters.
The house is uniquely situated on a quiet, dead-end street with a single car garage and convenient parking in front.
The convenience to the beach, golf course and world-class amenities are all you need for a great vacation. Weekly rentals are generally Saturday to Saturday. Monthly and weekend/nightly rentals are also available. We look forward to having you as a guest.

House was very clean and comfortable. It is equipped with everything you need. The Bear Trap community is well kept and felt quiet despite it being peak vacation season. My only regret is not playing golf while I was there as the course looked very nice! I would stay here again without hesitation!

We just stayed at this property for a week. We had a full house for the first weekend (golfers and family) and then just my husband and myself from Monday afternoon until Saturday. The house was well stocked, even paper towels, toilet paper and trash bags, which we have never had before in our bear trap rentals. Owners were very accommodating and quick to respond. The property was great for 8 adults and also for just the two of us. We would recommend this home and would rent again.

Terrific experience - the owners were incredibly accessible and responsive. Proactively reached out to us while en route to confirm arrival and how to access the rental. The property is in great shape, has plenty of space and is located in a gorgeous, well-maintained association. So many things to do as a family with active kids! Pool was great and all of the pavilion staff were wonderful to us. Very, very highly recommend!

Our stay in Bear Trap Dunes was fabulous. We thoroughly enjoyed - the townhouse was spotlessly clean, spacious and very well stocked. The hosts were attentive, thoughtful and had everything that we needed at the house for a memorable time. Highly recommend renting!

This property was a beautiful location by the golf course. Quiet neighborhood with well kept properties. The house was very nice with beautiful screened in porch. The bedrooms were spacious with attached bathrooms. Children enjoyed playing in the back and side yards.

We enjoyed our stay here! The community was beautiful and the lookout to the golf course was enjoyable! Check-in was easy and great communication. Definitely bring your own toilet paper- one bathroom had an empty roll and no extra upon check-in. There was also only a 1/2 and 1/4 c measuring cups and no baking dishes. But overall, would stay here again!

We were very happy with our stay! Property was in very nice shape, safe and clean community and plenty of room for our party or 8. 10 minute drive to beach and owners were extremely accommodating and responsive.

The property was beautiful but the communication could have been a little better about a few things. The add reads all inclusive but it is not there are no linens, or bedding there are a lot of amenities but you have to pay to use them. There is a book of rules and regulations which is fine but that should be communicated prior to arriving for your stay.

Excellent communication with the owners, beautiful property, great selection of amenities. The bedspreads and bath rugs were dirty. Some of the kitchen dishes and flatware were not clean. Our stay was so nice we were able to overlook these minor inconveniences. Highly recommend renting this property.

Our family enjoyed this property very much! The hosts were wonderful their property was even better! Our kids age 15, 14 and 3 were all equally entertained with all the amenities that Bear Trap Dunes has to offer. Our parents who also joined us loved it equally and we can’t say enough about how wonderful it was! Thank you so much!!

Positives: convenient floor plan, quiet side street, well functioning appliances, plenty of dishes, silverware, glasses and pots, comfortable beds
Negatives: sticky residue on dining table and chairs that would not wipe off, skillets and frying pans should all be replaced, parking is a bit tight when neighbors are all there

We enjoyed our week in Ocean View. The home was clean and perfect for our annual family vacation. The community was beautiful with fun amenities for adults and kids.

Fun Beach Trip
We enjoyed our stay at this location. There were 8 of us staying at the home, with a 6 year old, an 8 year old and everyone else over 50! We previously stayed at a home with a similar layout and liked the space it provided. The location adjacent to the golf course provided space for our kids to run and as the house is located at the end of the block, the kids also enjoyed riding their scooters in the area. We had one snafu with an overflowing toilet, but soon learned the secret to the flush! Parking was a bit tricky with three vehicles, but loads of parking was available on the main roadway. The bathrooms could use some updates and a larger garbage bin as we made several trips to the dumpster. But there was an ample supply of plates, cups and utensils. There were some well worn pots, but lots to choose from. As tea drinkers we enjoyed the electric kettle! We enjoyed ourselves!

Great spot
House was nice and bright. Spent most nights relaxing in the screened in porch. The golf course views and evening sky were beautiful. Beach shuttle worked perfectly and we walked to pool and tennis courts. Also had dinner at The Den. We will most definitely be back.

Great rental for the entire family
Went with the family to the beach and had a nice time at this rental. Nice open floor plan on first floor. Screened in porch and open deck were great for down time and meals. Property was bigger than expected and there was plenty of space for everyone. There are 2 parking spots directly on the property with overflow parking a short distance / walk away - this was very convenient and we had no issues with 4 cars. Would definitely stay there again.

OuR Grandkids had a soccer tournament in Frankford. Home was close by and very comfortable. After long days at the soccer fields was great having the 3 1/2 baths, 4 bedrooms and new washer and dryer to wash uniforms. Great view over looking the greens of the golf course. Had all the amenities needed.
