Guests loved the spacious house nestled in a wooded hillside, close to town and beach. Well-furnished rooms, fully equipped kitchen, and relaxing decks made it a perfect family getaway.

The house was incredible. Very clean house. Comfortable. The dogs loved the backyard, couldn’t get them to come inside. We were able to use the fire pit one night. It was very nice. Nothing negative to say about this house

Great house. Great location.

House is in great shape and HUGE - pictures don’t do the size justice. Two large porches over looking a sloped backyard. Kitchen was well appointed with stuff for cooking and even spices. Rooms were clean and spacious - plenty of space for teens to hangout downstairs and adults upstairs. There is an exercise room. Location is super close to downtown Sutton’s Bay - walking distance — but just far enough away for it to be private. Perfect landing spot from which to explore the entire Leelenau peninsula. It is on a series of hills, so biking down to trails is great, but up will give you a workout. Shaded and private. We truly enjoyed our stay. Hosts were very responsive and we’d definitely come back when visiting the area again.

Our 3rd consecutive year at School Hill. We absolutely love it. It fits our family beautifully. Every room is so comfortable and well furnished. Kitchen has everything needed for a perfect vacation. Grounds are wooded with 3 decks for relaxing. Could not be better for a family and their fur babies! We hope to return next year.

We had stayed here last year and totally enjoyed everything about it. This year was exactly the same, with a few nice updates. Couldn't have asked for a better time!

Quiet neighborhood a few blocks from downtown Suttons Bay. Chris was easy to reach. I had some confusion about house access and he responded right away. The location made easy access to TC and Leland. There were 5 of us so having our own rooms was nice. Would certainly recommend!

House is more spacious than appears in photos! Nestled on hill and surrounded by woods helped provide quiet remote feel, yet remarkably close to town of Suttons Bay. Within walking distance - downhill to town. Nicely appointed with all imaginable kitchen appliances and excellent dinnerware. Comfortable beds and linens! Deck is fantastic. Great layout for our mixed family - space for everyone to enjoy, gather, or have private time. Wish I would have made time to use the exercise room! Honestly can’t say enough about this rental. Would highly recommend!!

The house (inside and outside) was spacious, in wonderful shape and it was perfect for our growing family. The adults and kids loved it. It's in a quiet, beautifully wooded neighborhood. You have a five minute walk to downtown Suttons Bay and the public beach. Chris is a great property manager and was on top of everything throughout the entire rental process.

This is my family’s second stay here and it did not disappoint. One of my favorite spaces is the deck. It’s so beautiful and peaceful, So much room for my whole family to hang out. The location is perfect. Walkable to town and the beach. We will definitely book again!

Chris' house in Suttons Bay was absolutely perfect for our multi-generational family reunion. There was plenty of space in the house for gathering and together time, and room to spare for anyone who needed some quiet too. The photos truly do not do it justice.
Just as perfect is the house location, nestled in a quiet cul de sac but still a short walk from the heart of Suttons Bay - the beach, fishing pier, Leelanau Trail access, shopping and eating - an nice stroll for all of our family. It was also very easy to drive to Sleeping Bear Dunes and Traverse City - so much to see and do in this beautiful corner of Michigan, it would be a joy to return.

We had a fantastic stay in Sutton's Bay. The house was perfect to accommodate our needs and allowed for great togetherness but also spacious enough that everyone had their own space and privacy. We look forward to staying at this house again next year. Thank you Chris.

Our family loved every minute of our vaca in northern MI~this beautiful home was PERFECT for us, and our host immediately addressed a couple of minor issues we had. The deck was incredible, and we loved the fire pit for s’mores making! House is located just an easy walk away from the village & the beach. We were very happy with our home away from home!!

Our family vacation was better than we could ever hope for due to all that was offered by this home. We were immediately impressed by the spacious kitchen, living areas and awesome deck. Had wonderful evenings on the deck, relaxing, roasting marshmallows on the fire pit, cooking on the gas grill and star gazing. We loved being able to walk into town to eat, shop and enjoy the beach with the playground. The Dunes, canoeing and Traverse City were all within a half hour of the house. The house, itself, was very clean and had everything we needed to be comfortable. We would highly recommend this house to our family and friends or anyone, for that matter, who wants a wonderful vacation spot in a private, wooded location, with a great host!

We had a 4 day family wedding weekend on the Leelanau peninsula. 11 family members spanning three generations had ample room to relax, inside and outside at this location! Great spot! Property was clean, comfortable, and the process in and out very easy.

We love this place! It fit us perfectly. We are seven people , 3 family groups; my wife and myself, our daughter and her husband, and our grandson and his wife with our great grandson .each group had their own floor with full baths. The kitchen is large and well outfitted with just about everything you might need to cook with, including a wide selection of spices.
The large deck over looks a beautiful forest and a large fenced in yard, perfect for our dogs. Pets are welcome, if your keep them off the furniture and out of the front yard.
We hope to return next year , with a new great granddaughter

We had a wonderful vacation with our grown up kids and their significant others. We had 9 adults and three dogs. The house is set up beautifully on three levels so we all had our own space. The deck and back yard are amazing for dogs. There are gates that can keep the dogs right on the deck. The backyard is completely fenced in so the dogs can have open space to run and play. I definitely recommend this property for big groups with dogs.

We had ample room in all the spaces provided by this house for our group of 10. A lovely welcome package greeted us when we arrived as well!
LR, kitchen and the expansive deck(s) were perfect gathering spaces. The Solo Stove and the secure fenced yard were very useful and enjoyable too! BEDS, very comfortable! KITCHEN, well stocked with appliances, cookware, pantry items, lots of spices etc.. Two of the bedrooms had a desk and the lower level LR provided desk/table space for the few that worked. Tucked in a beautiful wooded area but a short few blocks to downtown SB, the proximity to wineries, the dunes, the lakes and so much more made the visit complete. There wasn't a "rule book" to guide our stay so hopefully we did things right!
All in all an extremely comfortable house to call home for a week! Thank you Chris!

Our group of 8 adults were very comfortable at this spacious and extremely well-equipped home. An ideal base for wine tasting on Leelanau peninsula! We enjoyed the deck and firepit also; we'd love to visit again. Thank you.

The house was perfect for a week-long getaway for our family. Plenty of space for hanging out, well supplied kitchen when we chose to cook, and very pleasant, quiet neighborhood.

Wonderful location and very well-stocked house. It is close to surrounding sites. House was large enough for multiple families and we loved the large deck area too. Chris is very responsive and the welcome package was such a welcoming surprise.

The home was in a great location, well stocked and had lots of room for eight of us. I do feel that the cleanliness was an issue with all of us. The kitchen and baths need more attention and there was a water leak/stain in the living room that was unsightly. The owner was very fast with responses on a couple questions we had.
