Delightful
This house was the most well equipped and organized of any that we have stayed in. It was perfect. We caught lots of fish and had a great time. Thanks Dwight!

Truly enjoyed "Paradise"
My family and I had an absolute wonderful time! We stayed a little over a month and it truly felt like home. My two dogs even loved it and settled right in. We purchased a home only 6 minutes away and needed a place to stay until we closed. So, the location was absolutely perfect to our new home and pretty much anywhere else. We got the chance to really check out the area and try the local eateries, and even took a few trips to the beach. The house was clean when we arrived and everything in order. There's so many appliances and amenities! Dwight has literally thought of everything. Hanging out on the lanai watching the canal was one of our favorite relaxing moments. The house itself is very inviting and comfy. We ended up needing to stay a few extra days b/c our house wasn't ready, and Dwight was able to accommodate us. That was SUPER appreciated. He was also quick to respond when we needed to communicate with him. Thank you Dwight!! We're all appreciative of having an awesome place to call home while we waited for ours :)

Great Family Vacation
We really enjoyed our stay. More than enough room for our family of 5 and our dog. Short drive to the gulf, swimming pool at the local park, fishing off the dock, kayaking and more. This place had all we needed and more. We will be back for sure! Thanks Dwight for opening your home! We had an awesome time!

Excellent Location and Friendly Neighbors
Started with a warm welcome from the owner providing tips and recommendations for local eateries and entertainment. His recommendation quickly became our new favorite watering hole! House is thoughtful and well equipped. As other reviews have stated, this house has everything you need minus food. Even a coffee grinder and espresso machine! The location was perfect for us as we moved here to house hunt. Having bicycles and kayaks available was icing on the cake. Would definitely stay again!

Paradise in Florida
Love the owner, his property and the accessories he has available for use. Well located, more like 25 min paddle to the beach in a Kayak and 20 min walk, but surely less than 5 min by bike. We had a great time! Thanks and we will be back!

Wanted to Love It But Just Can't
We were excited to stay here based on glowing reviews but sadly it didn't start off well nor did we truly enjoy our stay.
We arrived at 6pm and couldn't get into the house with the code we selected. After 20 minutes of trying different ways to enter it we contacted the owner via text with no response so we tried calling & received no answer & couldn't leave a message as the voice-mail was full. On their recording there was another number mentioned so we tried that & again no answer & it's voice-mail was full as well. After right at 45 minutes of both myself & my husband trying to reach the owner I finally got an answer & the code was fixed. I understand things happen but not being able to get in touch with someone is a bit aggravating.
Once we got inside, the house was nice but not as clean as we'd hoped given a pandemic. The kitchen trash was full & there was some type of poop on bedroom window sill next to the twin bed our daughter chose & on the floral couch under TV that was missed in cleaning (probably lizard since it's Florida). I'm not 100% sure if an anti-viral fogging actually happened before we arrived as it didn't seem to have truly been cleaned by whomever they have clean it (assuming it's a company they've hired since they don't live in same town). Maybe the cleaning company dropped the ball on this particular instance but definitely suggest looking into it.
Lastly & honestly the biggest issue for us was the AC. No where within the listing did it mention that the AC basically has a governor on it where you can't turn it below 73 (in fact once you're actually in the booklet in the house recommend not going below 72 but you can't even get down to that).
Had this been disclosed either in the listing or right after booking we would not have chosen to stay here.
We have two travelers that have health issues that are on medications that make them hotter than most. We live in Florida and completely understand the need to not over work the AC. At our home we keep it at 75/76 during the day and at bedtime turn it down to 68-70. That could not be done here. We ended up having to go buy 2 extra fans to run at night in the rooms of these two guests & even with those it made it tolerable but not comfortable by any means.
Upon return home we realized that their 73 wasn't even as cool as our 75 so the owner probably needs to have AC looked at to see if it is holding correct temperatures & if freon is low as 73 should be comfortable.

Great Property and Location
Well kept and clean. Lots of updates. Convenient location with good walking and biking sidewalks. Having the use of a garage was a nice addition. Lots of sports equipment available. Our dog, Charlotte, had a great time in Port Charlotte!

They've thought of everything...
Stayed for 3 weeks in January. Took extra towels and kitchen gadgets because places generally aren't well stocked. Not this home, however. Didn't need any of the extras because this house has it all. Everything was very comfortable and spotless. The location was great and we enjoyed walking and bike riding to the small community beach each day. Took advantage of the bikes and kayaks that are provided with the property. They are on a quiet street with many friendly neighbors.
There are great restaraunts just over the bridge in Punta Gorda, only a short drive away.
Would definitely stay here again. Owner was very responsive to all of my questions.

Peaceful at Peace River
Amazing property linens are nice count super soft felt like I was at home. Owner was awesome good communication! Minutes from peace river by boat! Boat ramp 3 minutes away if that in the neighborhood! Floating dock Perfect no worries rearranging ties for boat. Loads of great restaurants in Punta gorda! My favorite is Prime Steakhouse in P.C. , Pioneer Pizza locally owned and fantastic! 15 min ride away or less Lime and Tequila Mexican food the decor was absolutely amazing loads of expensive blown glass lights....
Great home plenty of room and our dog even hated to leave!
We look forward to on back in the future!
Until then... ☺️

Hidden Gem!
This property is located in an amazing neighborhood. Short walk to a beautiful little beach park! Located in an established quiet neighborhood but 1 mile from restaurants and anything you could possibly need! The house was spotless and comfortably decorated with kayaks, bikes, and hot tub. Dwight and Maria are amazing hosts and we were so comfortable in their beautiful home!

Best VRBO rental ever!
Couldn’t have asked for a more enjoyable stay. The house is well equipped and elegantly re-modeled. It’s clear the owner takes pride in his home and making his guests comfortable is a priority! Love the neighborhood! The houses here have unique character and the neighbors friendly. This is exactly the place I would live if I moved to Port Charlotte. I can’t say enough. Thank you, Dwight for a positive experience! And the coffee was the best!

Best rental ever!
We have never felt more "at home" than at this property. Everything you could want or need is available, not locked in a cabinet or closet. Even the neighbors are awesome. We rented a golf cart from Dar's Carts and he delivered it upon our arrival. Sunrise over the dock, sunset over the harbor. The owners are super-friendly and accommodating. They even accepted our large working dogs. I hope to return. We can't say enough good things about our entire vacation here.

Everything was great
Property is well maintained, in a nice neighborhood. Home has everything you could want. Has an upscale feel. Had a couple of questions about things to do in the area, and Dwight was available by phone, and even checked with some of his friends to offer suggestions. Supplies for your use, such as beach chairs, bicycles, etc., are all like new, with all the proper equipment such as helmets, paddles, safety vests. Washer and dryer are also new looking. Not furnished with left overs, but like what you would choose for your own home. Same goes for the kitchen - nice design, well equipped. Screened porch is larger and nicer than the pictures show. Owner lives not far away, and personally maintains the property.

Great location, house has everything you could want
Great house! We enjoys the super comfy beds; we cooked in the thoughtfully laid out kitchen, rode the bikes, and ate our breakfast looking out at the canal from our screened in back porch. The nearby park on the Peace River was lovely. Loved our stay. Location was perfect for us.

Matched the description to a tee, very enjoyable and a great great vacation area
The house was great, the hot tub was one of the best parts... Sadly red tide ruined any chance of enjoying the beach and the pool was closed for maintenance the entire week. The house was fully furnished with everything you could need from towels to a rice cooker, the beds were comfortable and the neighborhood was very quiet. The host was very open to answering any questions we had and provide us with Home roasted coffee. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to friends and family.

Loved the property
Enjoyed our stay. Comfortable house with wonderful amenities (kitchen, bathrooms and screened porch were some of my favorites) We were able to kayak to the local pool that looked out on the bay, swim and have a wonderful family vacation. The only drawback was we had to drive to a beach (around30 minutes) but not much traffic. Great access to grocery, mall, restaurants, etc...
Thank you for a wonderful getaway!!

Port Charlotte/Punta Gorda Florida Vacation
We had a wonderful time on our vacation. The house was very nice. It was in a quiet neighborhood. It has everything you would think you might need for your stay. It was close to Punta Gorda and the Fisherman's Village which has good restaurants and shopping.
There were a couple things we had trouble navigating which was the TV Service-Sling TV. We like to watch local news whether we are home or on the road. We could not find any local stations. The Master Bedroom alarm clock kept going off at around 6 O'clock every morning and couldn't get it to stop so we were up early each morning. We are in our upper 70's and not gadget people.
Overall it was a very nice stay. The owner checked in with us during our stay to make sure we had everything we needed.

PERFECT VACATION HOME
This home has everything you would ever need. All of the amenities that Dwight and Maria have made available for you to use is incredible! And the coffee that Dwight left for us was delicious. My brother and I had friends of ours come down and stay, there was plenty of room for everyone. Dwight and Maria were there when we arrived. We had a nice visit and I am so glad we were able to meet them. This is one of the best homes I have rented. I highly recommend it.
Thank you Dwight and Maria for sharing your home.

The Anders' home in Port Charlotte was everything it was advertised and more!
My wife and I and our dog, Maisy thoroughly enjoyed our stay there and won't hesitate to rent here again. Port Charlotte Beach Park is a perfect get away just down the street and enjoying a cocktail sitting on the dock watching the sun set over the canal was a perfect way to relax and unwind on our vacation. I even caught a keeper mangrove snapper off the dock, (even though I released it). The bikes and kayaks and hot tub all add up to a perfect vacation in Florida and respite from the cold up north. I encourage anyone looking for a wonderful place to stay in the Port Charlotte area to look no farther than El Sol Naciente!

Beautiful home, everything we wanted, and more!
Our family had a fun and relaxing vacation in Port Charlotte. Dwight made sure we had everything we needed, and was always just a phone call away even though he was out of state on vacation himself.
The home was remarkably well equipped with everything we needed and then some! The community park is a five minute bike ride and has tennis courts, bocce ball, a boat ramp, beach and a pool with nice bathrooms. Restaurants and shopping are near by. We drove down to Everglade City and had a great time at Wooten’s. We also spent a day at Siesta Key Beach.
We couldn’t have had a better time, especially since back home in Michigan they had snow storms and single digits temps all week!! We are now packing up and preparing to go home to white out conditions and a feels like temp of -3. Agh!

Holidays made easy
We (family of 5) spent two relaxing weeks in this lovely home in late October/early November 2017. The house is very well equipped which made our holidays really easy. We often went to the Beach Park nearby using the bikes or the kayaks - all we needed (including life vests for the boys) was available. The pool was mostly closed at this time of the year (we used the hot tub instead), but we did enjoy using the tennis court (no fees - and nobody there, so it was mostly our court). Rackets and balls? All just in the garage ready for use. Going to the beaches - just grab the parasol and enjoy the white sun and the clear waters, e.g. at Siesta Key or Manasota Key! Cooking is a feast in this excellently equipped kitchen and this does include spices. Thus, all the little things you usually have to look (and pay) for in a vacation home are provided - no worries at all! Port Charlotte is conveniently located, so that we went to Tampa for a football game, visited Universal Studios in Orlando (check out the Hulk rollercoaster - still having flashbacks from looking down to the very first looping from front row), and joined alligator- and manatee-watching tours in the Everglades (with Naples as starting point). Dwight was a very generous and discrete host - always available when needed and never intrusive. All information needed is neatly presented in the folders in the house, so there is little help needed. Dwight did provide us with his marvelous fresh dark roasted Indian Monsooned Malabar coffee beans, and for the first time in the US we enjoyed really excellent coffee. He even gave us a second bag during our stay (and graciously ignored the chaos the boys had made). We had a most wonderful time in El Sol Naciente (which clearly was the best vacation home we have had ever). We will certainly be back if we should be in Florida again. Many thanks indeed to Dwight and Maria for hosting us!

Ist HomeAway a Success
The owner of this beautiful home was more than accommodating. I didn't understand the location so that was purely my fault so when I read 5 minutes to beach etc I thought we were on the "ocean". The park at the end of the neighborhood was nice just run-down. We did make a day of it tho and enjoyed and made sure we got to two beaches the next couple of days . Had a lot of expenses with Lyft and or Uber but again that was on me. We had multi-generations in this home and it definitely accommodated . The kitchen was amazing and stocked beautifully . We had a 1 year old and it was great not to bring a high chair and or pack and play. The master bedroom was great and the bed very comfortable. There was a problem with ants in the master bath and ALOT in the porch room. The only negative was 2 out of the six bikes were broken and we had 6 riders ; there was no bike infant carrier as listed , the stroller was rusted and couldn't be used, the beach umbrella was missing a major part, so I would update the equipment available so the travelers aren't counting on those things . When we arrived I'm assuming the previous visitors had a dog because there was pet hair and a smell throughout the living room . I do appreciate the ability to communicate with the owner as he WAS easy to communicate with .

Super comfortable
Many amenities and very comfortable. It was nice to have use of beach chairs, towels, and a wagon to carry all our belongings for our beach visits. Wanted to use the bikes and kayaks but ran out of time. Plenty to do.

Loved being able to walk out the back door and fish from the dock. Caught 11 different
types of fish using live shrimp as bait.
House was pleasant and kitchen is well equipped. Kitchen could use a nonstick fry pan
as stainless steel sticks. Beds were comfortable to sleep on.
All and all it was a very nice stay.
Dwight is a nice man. Checked in on us on Saturday and had a pleasant visit.
Really couldn't ask for more in a rental and we thank you for renting out your house to us with all it's extras.
Weather was delightful compared to Michigan but the noseeum bugs in the grass are
vicious. Be sure to buy the right type of bug repellant and use it.

When we arrived at the house Dwight was there to give us a tour and show us how to use everything. The entire home is spotless and very organized so it's easy to find anything you need. So many thoughtful touches in the home. We loved the hot tub, espresso machine, comfortable beds and great sheets! We loved the canal, community pool, and bay! We had a relaxing and fun vacation and hope to come back next year.

This property is very well maintained and has everything you could want to help you have an enjoyable vacation. Located on a side street so traffic is held to a minimum which helps it remain quiet. Dwight Anders is a very nice owner who goes out of his way to make sure that you'll be comfortable during your stay, he has a big collection of area attractions and restaurants pamphlets to help you keep busy. Dwight also has fresh coffee beans for your morning cup to help get your day started right. There's everything for you to do from fishing, kayaking, going to the beach, or pool, riding bikes, to just relaxing on the screened in porch, or taking in the game on one of many TV's. The Anders's have it all here and we had a great week of fun and relaxation, our only regret was that it ended way too soon. Don't pass this one up!

Thanks Dwight, we had a great time on our two week "working" vacation! The house was well-stocked, particularly the kitchen, and we loved the location. Biking in the community was great, and we were close enough to be able to bike to stores, as well. We were thrilled to be able to play tennis every day! Also enjoyed the warm weather, and were very happy to escape -6 degrees at home!! Oh, and the mullets jumping out of the canal offered a lot of amusement, too!
