We were awed by the overall beauty of this spot in the world. We were there with my son, daughter in law and 2 grandsons..8 and 10. The children loved it! Endless hide and seek with endless places to hide! My son and wife also enjoyed it immensely. They took tours to Capri, Positano, and Pompeii..on that tour we joined them, having seen all other places in the past, but Pompeii Iis worth seeing over and over again. We were not prepared for the extra cab ride costs. My husband and I..75 and 80 years old ..were not capable of the hundreds of stairs to get anywhere so were paying 40.00 euros to get to the closest restaurant that is just 300 steps up the hill. We had all we could do to manage the 57 stairs to get to and from the property so wound up trapped and spending many hundreds of dollars for taxi service. It was beautiful, I am so glad I saw it, but will not go back because of the difficulties. The property itself waS clean, lovely, but we had trouble using the stove and microwave, so spent a hungry day as we had no matches to light the stove and microwave was a mystery. Also, no staples..salt sugar, etc provided so come prepared as the grocery store is 300 steps up and back down carrying bags..or a 40 euro cab ride. Do not rent a car and plan to drive as driving is treacherous for those with no experience in the area. Our stay was made lovely by my son and daughter in law who hoofed it to get provisions for us. Without them I can't imagine how trapped we would have been!
This is " No Country for Old Men"..or women. Still the experience is priceless

We loved staying here so much! The little cafe downstairs was the perfect start to every day! Peaceful and just as pictured.

We had a really great time in Furore. The apartment is well located in a small town called Furore. There's a really nice restaurant/breakfast place down the stairs and a supermarket 20 minutes away. A car is recommended.

The place is excellent! Great location with a wonderful restaurant in close proximity. The grocery store is a short drive and has everything you require. Morning sunrises and evening sunsets are gorgeous. Our host Pasquale and his wife Giovanna are easy to deal with.
Highly recommended.

Great views of the coastline, wonderful host who met our driver when we couldn't find the house and gave us food suggestions! House was as described, loved the garden with the clementine tree and lounge chairs and a quiet location on the coast. I want to return!

The owner was wonderful! He helped us up the 59 stairs to get to the house by hefting my 50 pound suitcase on to his shoulder and hiking all the way up without stopping! I was impressed. Then toward the end of the stay we decided to forgo Napoli and stay two days longer. Called the owner who was happy to accommodate us. Very nice kitchen which we used several times. It was stocked with basics; dishes, pots & pans, flat ware, salt, pepper, garlic, etc. however really could have use one sharp knife and a couple of ice trays. There was a very handy clothes washing machine but no dryer. We had to hang clothes to dry on a drying rack so they all turned out crunchy, but clean. The restaurant right below our house was great! The family who runs were really wonderful. They made gnocchi special for my husband because he told them it was his families specialty. Very sweet people. Also we had a designated parking space for our rental car which was wonderful! Parking is hard to come by in the area.
On the down side, there was major construction going on across the road from us and down below our house. Wish we had been informed. The cranes obstructed the fantastic view from the very sweet balcony and the noise was bothersome. Also the dogs and rooster in the area were pretty noisy. The beds were brick hard and the pillows were like sand bags. We could not get the TV to work at all. The whole house was in need of a lot of repair with plaster and paint pealing off the walls in several places. The showers are super tiny. My husband is a good size man but not obese and he could not turn around in either one of them.
Of course when renting a private house you are not going to find perfect and the price was right. Obviously it was not so bad that we didn't want to stay the extra two days. LOVE THE AREA! Truly this was the best vacation EVER!

This is a great villa with a great terrace overlooking the sea. As mentioned, it's plenty of stairs to reach the villa (as is the case all over Amalfi Coast). We counted about 50 stairs but it's not too challenging if you're in ok condition and the view is worth it. The couch and beds could be a little more comfortable but to be fair, we stay in Italy quite often and this seems to be the norm everywhere, every time in rental places. This is a rural area so there will be rural sounds such as a very near rooster who was proudly crowing every morning as early as 5am and there is a dog close who is barking a LOT. We were treated very well by the property manager who has perfect English and a great professional personality. We very much recommend this place! There are so many great things to see and do from here.

Great location! Loved all of the people we met, thanks to Pasquale! In particular, he set us up with local drivers who really showed us some special places on the Amalfi Coast. We really hated to leave.

This place has a great view and is overall a nice place to stay. The restaurants nearby are good places to eat and location is good. A few things to consider; there is a flight of steps (around 50) that needs to be considered when packing to keep from needing to haul large bags up, the reserved parking spot is very difficult to use unless you have a fiat or something very small (this type of car is needed for driving the coast also), the beds are very firm, the shower is very small, and the coffee maker didn't work well when we were there. Many of these things are normal for Italy, but just need to be aware of them in case your physical needs don't allow you to enjoy this place.

We had a nice stay in Furore (this house is not really in Amalfi). There is a wonderful terrace where we had our Antipastos in the evening, with a magnificent view.
The house has also a parking space, which is of great value during the summer time in the Amalfi coast.

We had a wonderful stay at the Holiday House. The house is located in Furore in a residential neighborhood in a quiet and soothing location. Furore is a peaceful Amalfi town and is great for relaxation and contemplation. It is not for those looking for shopping and nightlife. For us, the Holiday House and Furore is just what we were looking for.
The House itself is accessed by steps (probably 35 steps or so) so the property is not good for those with walking problems. The owner, Pasquale and his wife, Giovanna, helped us haul our luggage up the steps upon our arrival and were helpful getting us settled and acclimated to the Amalfi Coast. Pasquale helped us hire a driver, Rosario, to tour the coast.Rosario was a terrific guide and driver. I highly recommend a driver or bus service to tour the coast as the Amalfi road is treacherous. Fortunately, you do not have to navigate the Amalfi road to reach the Holiday House.
The most brilliant feature of the house is the superb porch and yard. The view of the ocean and coast is spectacular and serene. We dined-in for dinner twice to enjoy the view and solitude. The house itself is ideal for a family of four or a couple. I think it would be a bit cramped for two couples as the kitchen is the only common space. That said, both bedrooms were of ample size and there were two full bathrooms that were modern and clean.
There is an interesting walking path near the house and a local restraurant that served home cooked Italy an fare. The parking space was appreciated as parking on the Amalfi Coast is a rare commodity. The house is not convenient to the Furore Beach - it is a thousand steps down and the beach itself is small and gravelly so I wouldn't recommend the house to those looking for a beach holiday Also, there is no parking near the beach.
We loved our stay and would not hesitate to rent again if we are fortunate enough to return to the Amalfi Coast.
Thanks Pasquale and Giovanna!
