About this house rental

OH MY YARD....this place has fun and yard games written all over it. We have water, we have sand, we have fun for kids and adults. Our lake house is great for a family get together any time of year. Your group deserves this property.

Attention Grandparents: FAMILY REUNION GROUPS ARE THE PERFECT USE FOR SOL MATE. Imagine all of your family in one fun location. And with our other property, End of the Rainbow two doors down, add an additional eight people to the group! As well as our personal lake house which could be available by special request and is rental ready.

NEW FOR 2024 - we have added a new hot tub, and a large catamaran type net to our dock well . We love our colorful new Poly Adirondack Chairs and two adult kayaks.

We have November and December dates available. Your family will love it here. Book now. Rates will remain the same for the 3rd straight year.

I mean look at this yard. You won't find this at other lake houses. You walk through the front door and see this bright and airy main living area AND that lake view, and realize what a fantastic house this is. Hundreds of guests have enjoyed it, check out the reviews. You can choose to relax and hang out on our fantastic dock. Kids and adults can paddle around in our kayaks, play on our Aqua Lily Pad, or compete in yard games. Sunbathers can hang out on our dock net. You'll love the Wet Step we added during the Summer 2023. The adult kayaks were added in the Summer of 2024. Or enjoy the many other activities the area has to offer.

One of the things guests rave about is how centrally located our home is to lake attractions. If you forgot any of the essentials there is a Dollar General 1.5 miles away along with the fantastic Woods Grocery Store. From Sol Mate it is just a short drive to Osage Beach where you'll find lots of shopping, as well as the touristy fun of Bagnell Dam. Haha Tonka State Park (voted one of the top 10 parks by USA Today, several years ago) is a fantastic place to hike year round and cove out (in the summer). There is a water park, indoor trampoline park (Jetz Trampoline Park), Zip line, horseback trail rides, wineries, antique/thrift store shopping, boutiques and gift shops, and an adorable coffee shop just down Highway 5 called The Littlest Chocolatier.

ANGLERS: A boat launch at the base of the Hurricane Deck bridge, just a mile from the house, park your boat in our covered slip, leave your trailer in our driveway.

GOLFERS: You are just 20 minutes from most of the fabulous courses the Lake of the Ozarks has to offer. Old Kinderhook and Osage National are our favorites.

SHOPPERS: You'll find quaint little home décor shops and boutiques, FANTASTIC thrift stores, and antique stores and wineries too. As well as national chains. We personally love the Marshall's in Osage Beach :).

Sol Mate is about 1/2 mile off Highway 5. No winding lake roads to traverse. And a large flat lot for yard games and fun. Both things are very hard to find at the Lake of the Ozarks. We have been and will continue to be flexible with cancellations and refunds. Please contact us directly to discuss. We realize things happen and plans must change.

Sol Mate is situated on a flat lot (zero stairs to lake) with your own private beach. This home includes a large (65x40) private dock. There are two large, covered slips w/power, and a PWC well too. We have a fantastic Wet Step and have added a 10' x 10' netted area on the dock for lounging. Also included on the dock are party lights, a full size fridge and freezer, and granite counter tops, and a granite island. Some guests choose to spend the entire day on the dock. Connect to the sound system with an Aux cord and listen to great music of your choosing. And perhaps the kids favorite, an Aqua Lily Pad is available. Small children LOVE this thing! Kids and adults can take the kayaks out in the no wake cove! The back of the cove is home to lots of wildlife including bald eagles. Paddle around in our calm cove or just keep them in our little lagoon area. And there are a couple of fun swings right on the dock.

Let's get more specific:
DINING:

There are some fun little wineries with beautiful views at the lake. There is usually live music, food, and of course beverages. Restaurant options are plentiful. Several within a mile of our property. The Tavern at Trails End is the newest and has received rave reviews. It is just across the highway. The Lake of the Ozarks is well-known for its restaurants and bars that are right on the lake. Pull your boat right up to the dock and enjoy a great time. Close boating restaurants include The Cave (in an actual cave, so cool!), Bear Bottom Resort (longest waterslide in Missouri), Larry's on the Lake, Redheads, Paradise, Fish & Company, Frankie & Louie’s, and our favorite, Nauti Fish. There are several other close eating options if you choose to drive. As stated above, The Branding Iron is right up the hill. They have great drink prices, and the food and service are excellent. We love El Centenario in Greenview, great Mexican food. And for a higher level of dining there is Tavern at Trails End. But check ahead of time because you may need reservations. Again, it has received excellent reviews.

MORE ABOUT THE HOUSE:

We have added a brand new hot tub in the Fall of 2023! And five brand new poly Adirondack chairs to our sand beach. We added two adults kayaks in the Summer of 2024. You'll enjoy our lighter, brighter beach vibe in the colors we've selected. We added new mattresses and a new HVAC system Fall of 2022. We added a fresh coat of paint to the basement bunkroom and 1/2 bath too in early 2023. A very cool living room sectional was added Summer 2023. It literally can seat 8 adults.

This house has a 55-inch LCD tv with DVD player for movie nights in the large living area. The spacious open floor plan is perfect for larger groups. Connect your music via Bluetooth to a great main living area speaker system. The kitchen has stainless steel appliances including a Wolf cook top, a Keurig, fabulous granite counter tops, plenty of storage for essentials and a fridge with an icemaker and filtered water. There is also an additional large fridge in the basement laundry room. The 10-foot kitchen island offers enough seating for four people plus a dining room table for eight. There is a large custom deck that spans the entire length of the house with bar top seating, and an outdoor table that seats five. We have plenty of Oeko-Tex soft, absorbent bath towels for each guest and many of our sheets are Oeko-Tex sheets as well. We've added a hand-held shower head to the master bath and there is a portable shower seat available as well. We do our best to respect our environment and will be continually making improvements in that area.

The basement is literally built for fun and games. You and your guests will love trying out the game room that has Ms. Pacman, Extreme Hunting, and several board games. Also included is a regulation pool table, a Roku enabled 42" television and a stereo/cd player complete with CDs for your listening pleasure. The game room painted walls and floors were commissioned by a local artist who designs theme inspired restaurant murals, giving the room that "wow" factor. The game room walks out to a private stamped and stained patio with a fire pit which is great for making smores on those cooler nights. It's an ideal way to end the day. The brand new hot tub is also located on the outdoor patio.

We have two actively recording security cameras. One overlooking the front yard and driveway, and one overlooking the backyard, dock, and back patio including the hot tub and fire pit. All devices are on the exterior of the property. We primarily have them so that we know when guests check-in and check-out and for security when we are not there.

The house is located about 300 yards from Captain Ron's Restaurant/Bar. The outdoor beach at Captain Ron's is a great place to take the kids while parents can sip on a fun drink. Or the whole group could get a game of beach volleyball going. There are bounce houses for small children as well. Do you like to dance? There is live music throughout the summer. Just check Captain Ron's web site for the entertainment/event schedule. For boat and water toy rentals, Pirate's Point is just around the cove at the base of Hurricane Deck bridge. You can launch your boat from there as well.

We encourage you to try LOCAL businesses when possible. We have suggested quite a few within a few miles of our place.

This property will exceed your expectations and surpasses what normal vacation rental homes have to offer. We're always improving and evolving. We want to pay our cleaning team a living wage. So all pet fees and extra cleaning fees go directly to them.
We trust them to do a fantastic job rest assured. We ask you to do a little bit prior to your departure because this is a home, not a hotel. We don't have a "staff" of people. We want to allow our cleaning team the time to do the most important part and that is to clean vs. straightening, disposing, replacing, and repairing. Please contact us prior to booking with any special requests. We will try to accommodate. We'd love to answer any questions you may have or offer tourism advice. We have two other homes here at the lake. Our family built the first house in this cove, so we have a lot of knowledge of history and attractions at the Lake of the Ozarks.

Again, please consider our other property in the same cove, End of the Rainbow (2321854 type in to the search bar). It would be a great annex for larger family reunion trips with Sol Mate being the headquarters.

We had a great time at this rental the home owners did a wonderful job with communication and check in. Although this was a fabulous home In my Opinion it wasn’t worth $7,000 a week. The beds were uncomfortable the couch was cheap and uncomfortable no TVs in the bedrooms the basement doors were broken and didn’t lock the speakers on the dock wouldn’t work although the owners did try to come fix them only one of the arcade games shown worked and the beach area has a bit of a drop off getting to the water not great for little ones and the hot tub was dirty and full of sand. Positives the house is updated and was clean. It’s walking distance to Captain Ron’s. The swings shown on the dock are kinda fun but don’t really swing great the net is only for lounging so almost more of a hassle to keep the kids from jumping on it

This is the perfect home for our family getaway! Loved the kid’s bunk room! Most importantly we had a beach and no step access to water. Our grands were outside 12 hours a day. Thank you!!

This property met the needs of our 3-generation family very well. The kitchen was well stocked and spacious enough for multiple cooks working on meal prep. The dock was the perfect spot to enjoy the hot sunny weather. The lilypad, kayaks and lawn games were enjoyed by all.

The house was absolutely perfect! The house and dock had everything we could have possibly needed to enjoy a lakefront stay. The host checked in during our stay to make sure everything was going well. We loved being in the no wake cove so the kids could kayak around all they wanted. FYI: If you are looking to rent a boat, Rad Dad Boat Rentals does deliver the boat directly to the house! We would definitely stay here again!!!

Wonderful Lake House. We stayed here for our daughter's graduation with both sets of grandparents and it was perfect for all. House was fully stocked and very clean. The host was very easy to communicate with which was nice too. We were sad to leave and will definitely be back.
