We stayed for 3 nights in Anne's home and had a wonderful time. The beds were comfortable, bathrooms clean and fully stocked. Everything we needed was available to us to make meals, relax and even lots of info to find local attractions. Outdoor seating whether to enjoy a meal, or by the fire was great. Though it took a bit of time for the hot tub to heat, it was a wonderful way to end our day. We would recommend this place to all those looking for a comfortable and relaxing spot.

Anne’s home is a great place for a large family or extended family to stay. We loved the fact that three bedrooms have king or queen beds and the adjoining room to the bunk room was great for the kids. Our kids loved the kids table with toys and art supplies as well as the ping pong and basketball in the basement. We enjoyed sitting out by the fire, relaxing in the hot tub and the deck. It’s a nice short drive into downtown. The home did get rather hot and humid a few days, but there were plenty of fans left by the owner.

This may be the mecca for nature-lovers, fly-fishing, skiiing, and craft beer! Anne's house is spacious yet cozy and perfect for enjoying family and friends in a comfortable, relaxing setting. With perfect view of the eclipse, the weekend was unforgettable!

The biggest concern with this home is that it LACKED WORKING SMOKING ALARMS. We discovered this on our own and reinstalled them.
In addition, the house advertised a hot tub. The day we were to arrive, the owner let us know we would have to flip a fuse switch for it to turn on, and that for this minor inconvenience she would refund us $300. Not a problem, I said. However, after a day of skiing, it turned out the tub would not be working at all during our stay (due to a broken heat pump). This was, unsurprisingly, very disappointing. However, not only was the owner unwilling to provide a further discount, she ignored my emails about this and I had to call her to get a response. All I can do is conclude is that if you take the risk to stay here and something is not working while you're there, her attitude will be "tough luck."
In addition, the hang-out area was physically uncomfortable, the cable TV did not allow use of Netflix, Disney+, etc., and the heating system was not working well.
While I would not have left this review had the hot tub worked, I think the fact that the owner was inconsiderate in that she was unwilling to provide any consideration in addition to the $300 she promised to refund us BEFORE she knew the hot tub would not be working speaks volumes about her as a host. I would not trust her.

Great house! Great host!

Our family (parents + three kids, ages 12, 9, and 5) stayed here MLK weekend to ski at Sugarbush and could not have had a more wonderful weekend!
The property was in a prime location, just minutes from Mt Ellen and the main Sugarbush resort, which was ideal for 3 days of skiing. The house was exactly as advertised/pictured and it was the perfect place to relax each night after a day on the slopes. The kitchen was well equipped and stocked, the beds were comfortable, and our kids thoroughly enjoyed all the games and toys that were in the house (especially the ping pong table and the basketball shooting game in the basement!)
If you're looking for a home away from home to explore the area, you can't go wrong here - we hope to be back in the future!

The house was lovely, and the host really went above and beyond making us comfortable with a lot of extra special touches. It was easy to relax into vacation immediately. The property fit our family well.

We were very comfortable at the Waitsfield, Vermont property. The house met all our expectations and was exactly as described. It was comfortable, had a great kitchen and provided enough space for 3 adults and 2 very active children. The location was great for us. We were quite close to the village of Waitsfield and to Mad River Glen ski area. Sugarbush and Warren Vt., were just down the road. Anne was a gracious host, provided provisions for our use, toys for the kids, and great information about hiking opportunities. We had a great time and would recommend this vacation property.

We loved our time at this home. The hosts left lots of goodies for us! I’d list them all but I’m not sure they do this for everyone or we were just special! The property listing didn’t list a fire pit, but they had one and it was stocked. No negatives, except the windows in the bedrooms don’t have shades. I know they have the coating to prevent people from seeing in, but one of our party was still worried about being seen. The properly is on a main road, but traffic was very minimal and very low noise. The master suite has a wonderful comfortable bed and a variety of pillows for your max comfort. The secondary bed is definitely in the firm category so there is variety in mattress options. Would definitely stay here again!

Anne's house is even better than advertised. The location is one of/the best in the valley (imo) - less than two miles from Waitsfield town, Mad River Glen, and Mt Ellen. The main living area has three distinct rooms to - kitchen/dining, reading/games, and couch/lounge - all connected but separate and all homey. The 3 bedrooms we used are all off the same landing on the second floor which was ideal for parents/kids - and there is another huge king en suite on the main floor for guests or a second family. The hot tub was outstanding (although the cover is very heavy and requires a well thought out plan!). Anne was professional and accommodating and had her house stocked better than any rental I've ever been in - from kitchenware to food to towels and soaps.

We had a delightful family get together in this house. Our host is amazing: communications were clear, responsive and altogether positive; the house is well provisioned and stocked, including Ben & Jerry's ice cream, fresh eggs, ice and fresh flowers! (it's the little things...) and many other staples. The house is very comfortable and spacious for our family of 7. It's actually larger than it appears in the photos. The kitchen is plenty large enough with everything you would need. There is a large dining area which also doubled for game night; not to mention the large game room in the basement. The beds were comfortable. The living areas on the main floor are well laid out. The location is great; close to Waitsfield and Warren and not a bad drive to Waterbury and Burlington. Overall, it was a wonderful experience.

This is the 2nd time we have stayed in Anne’s home. The home is exactly as described. Special details and amenities are provided for your stay. This was a perfect place for my family and I while we visited for my sons graduation from Norwich University which was about a 30 min drive. Check in/out process was a breeze. The owner is very responsive if you need to contact her. I would definitely recommend this home for your future stay.

The home is great and spacious and features all amenities that any home would have. The location is outstanding - 10 minute drive to sugarbush and an even shorter drive to Mt. Ellen. Town is only about 5 minutes away and features some really quality places to eat (Mad Taco and Lawson’s Finest). Anne is an amazing host - as good as it gets!
Our young kids loved the bunk beds, hot tub, and all the toys and colouring materials that Anne put out for them.
Highly recommended!

This was a wonderful property very close to sugarbush. Anne was the perfect host, left little treats for us to enjoy and a fully stocked kitchen. The house itself is lovely and has all the extras to make it feel homey and comfortable. We hope to visit again!

We spent a lovely late August week in this house, which was great for all ages. There were toys, art supplies, and games for the kids, and the kitchen was well stocked (with cooking gear and utensils as well as some bonus items like Ben & Jerry’s ice cream and ingredients for s’mores). This is a great house for 2 families to share— we fit perfectly with 4 adults and 5 kids. The outdoor space was great too.

Stayed here for several nights with a group of 6 friends. Property was as attractive and inviting - great kitchen/dining area for meals, card games, loved the master suite! Only drawback is no central AC; the weather was exceptionally hot and muggy (90s), but we were still pretty comfortable.

We loved our time in Vermont. Anne was great to work with. Very responsive.
The house was great, close to Sugarbush and just what we needed as a family get away.
When I’m Vermont again, we will be staying here. 😀

One of the nicest rentals we've ever experienced. Fresh flowers greeted us. We're foodies, and the kitchen was stocked with everything needed to make meals -- even the fridge was well provisioned, something we'd never seen in a rental. Lovely spacious deck, and the living space had areas for napping, reading in a corner, working on a puzzle all at the same time. Owner was prompt in answering questions and left detailed instructions for the house.

Great house and great host! House was very clean with all the amenities covered; hot tub, fire pit, gas fire pit, lighted porch, comfortable seating inside and plenty of room for everyone. Anne also stocked the freezer with Ben & Jerry's for a very 'Vermont' touch. She also included croissants and other various food items which highlights her 'above and beyond' attention to detail. I would highly recommend this property and would give 6 stars if I could.

This was the coziest perfect place for my group of friends and I for a ski weekend at Sugarbush. Close to the mountain - less than 10 minute drive. The house itself was so beautiful and such a good ambiance. Kitchen had everything we needed for cooking, pantry was fully stocked! The hot tub was the perfect touch. Anne, the owner of the house, was extremely responsive when we had trouble getting the TV to work. She even went out of her way to get the cable people involved! She makes you feel like family! Would highly recommend staying here!

such a comfortable home! Kitchen was well equipped-can’t think of any utensil that would be needed! Hostess was very welcoming and available, but instructions were clear so we didn't need to call for anything. Beds were comfy, and plenty of linens. Very nice experience; better than other rentals we have used. Would be great for skiers- close to town, yet feels secluded.

Our family of 6 rented Anne's home to attend a wedding in the Mad River valley, and it was just perfect for us. The kitchen had everything you need, and is so easy to work in. We used 3 of the 4 bedrooms and everyone had plenty of privacy. The jacuzzi was so relaxing, as was the deck. We didn't have time to enjoy the games or the ping pong table, but we hope to go back soon and would rent this house again. And when we arrived the windows were open to allow the fresh air in and there were fresh flowers in the house ! So welcoming ~ thank you Anne !

This is a great, family friendly home in a great location for biking, hiking, skiing, and not far from Waitsfield. Anne is an incredible host with clean well kept property. There were really nice touches of some toys for our kids to play with, coloring materials, and a great playroom downstairs. We highly recommend staying here.

We had a wonderful stay at Anne’s place in Waitsfield. She was very responsive and a good host. We were there for a wedding with our three adult children and significant others. There was plenty of room for everyone with the eight of us. House was as it showed in the pictures, was clean, and well equipped. Kitchen was great with everything you could need. They left some things for us which was a nice treat. Only minor negatives was one of the beds was hard and was a little musty when we got there. But that’s after a particularly wet 2021 and went away after opening doors and windows. Hot tub was easy to use; takes a little time to warmup so turn it up when you arrive which they do tell you in their book. Location is good to town or up to the mountains if you were skiing. Would definitely stay here again.
