About this villa rental
CIN: CITRA code 011019-LT-0184, IT011019C2SNW7QAG4
Submerge yourself in the awe of the sea within our cherished coastal retreat, elegantly designed to coexist with its natural surroundings. As Frank Lloyd Wright aptly put it, "No house should ever be on the sea or on anything. It should be of the sea. Belonging to it. Sea and house should live together, each enhancing the other."
Our coastal refuge, affectionately frequented by our family and friends, opened its doors to Vrbo and Homeway guests in 2015. We've ensured our personal belongings and carefully selected furnishings create a homely ambiance, making you feel like a homeowner rather than a transient occupant. We hope you will value your time here as much as we do.
Don‘t just take our word for it.
As one of our esteemed guests once remarked, "From the moment you arrive in Monterosso, you know you‘ve made the best choice by staying at this vacation home."
Perched on a rock at the heart of Monterosso's bay, our detached house is a mere five meters from the sea. A comprehensive renovation in 2012 ensured modern comforts such as air conditioning, heating, and a stable Wi-Fi connection. In 2023, we further augmented the comfort of our home by installing new windows and doors, offering improved thermal and acoustic insulation.
Our home features a spacious living room and a cozy double room, both opening onto a sea-facing terrace. This outdoor space is furnished with a dining table, chairs, an outdoor shower, and a private staircase leading directly to the sea. Please be advised that due to its elevation, the terrace may not be suitable for children due to the risk of falling.
Additional amenities include a second bedroom with a sizable bunk bed, two bathrooms (one equipped with a shower), and a fully-appointed kitchen for culinary enthusiasts. Each room provides ample closet space, a desk, and two chairs.
Access to the house is via a ramp staircase that leads to a functional courtyard with laundry facilities. Our coastal sanctuary encapsulates a unique blend of minimal material comforts and maximum spiritual stimulation, echoing a sailor's affinity for the sea. The advantages of our location are evident: location, location, location!
IMPORTANT INFORMATION
- The house is only accessible via stairs and may not be suitable for individuals with mobility issues or wheelchair users.
- Our home is approximately 550 meters away from the railway station. A public cab service is available.

- For safety reasons, we cannot accommodate children under 12 years.
- Additional guests beyond the first two will incur an extra daily fee. Please refer to your "Booking Summary" for more details.
SAFETY REMINDER
- During the vibrant summer months, please be vigilant with your belongings in crowded areas, such as trains and train stations, which are often targeted by pickpockets. A bit of caution ensures a safe and enjoyable holiday!

Wonderful home in the perfect location overlooking the sea. Every little detail was provided. We felt so lucky to stay in this amazing and gracious home.

The perfect place to use as a homebase for our short stay in Monterosso!

Our second stay at the house was wonderful. Simply amazing location in Monterosso. The host, Christina, was absolutely lovely. Grazie!!

My husband, two adult daughters and I stayed here for 3 days in June and we could not have been happier. The apartment was spacious and comfortable, the location was perfect, and the view was breathtaking. I could have been happy sitting the patio and soaking in the view for our entire vacation. I don't think there could be a better place to stay in the entire area. And Enrico and Elena and their property manager (Christina) were so easy to communicate with, so kind and so helpful. I wasn't feeling, and Christina arranged to have a doctor come to the apartment, and then we had a hiccup in our travel plans, and Christina found a reasonably priced driver to take us to Pisa. They were amazing.

Location location! Possibly the best location in Cinque Terre perched on the edge of the steep hill above the beachfront of old town Monterosso.

This property capped off a perfect trip to Italy! The location couldn't have been better and the apartment itself was impeccable. Everything was clean, working, and we thoroughly took advantage of the terrace by sitting out as much as possible during our short stay.
Cristina, the property manager, was great with communications, very helpful, and made sure we had all of the information we needed - and more! (Thank you for the restaurant suggestions!)
I hope that we get to visit Monterosso again and if we do, we will only stay at this property.
Thank you.

Everything worked as advertised. The location was perfect and the views spectacular.
We'll be back

Simply amazing location just steps from old Monterosso. We had to pinch ourselves as we could not believe we picked this incredible place to stay.

I can't express enough what a lovely time my husband and i had staying at this amazing property. We didn't arrive until after 10pm and Cristina had been in constant contact and gave very good directions. Despite the hour, she still met us at the house and helped us weary travelers with an easy check in. She even made a couple of dinner reservations for us during our 5 night stay. The bed was very comfortable, the shower, though small, had good water pressure, and the kitchen was very well stocked. Made cooking at home 1 night very enjoyable. And I mean, the views, OMG. Every time you walk down those steps or out on the terrace, you feel others must be jealous of those lucky people enjoying that gorgeous house! Walking into town took 30 seconds and honestly, out of all 5 towns, we would choose Monterosso again and again. We loved it and the choice of restaurants for a small town is impressive. Do not hesitate to book this castle by the sea!

We absolutely loved our stay in this cliff side home! The 360 views were incredible! We were greeted by Cristina when we arrived. The home was fully stocked and simply adorable. Two nights were not enough! Thank you! The Sciortino Family

Amazing views, perfect location and your home away from home with all the amenities you need!
Steps away from the train station allowing you to easily visit all of Cinque Terre, but also close enough for day trips to explore nearby popular cities like Pisa and Santa Margherita/Portofino.
Our stay was in low season where much of Monterosso and the surrounding towns were closed preparing for the upcoming season, we enjoyed the peacefulness of the communities and local lifestyle. Where we were fortunate to enjoy the local restaurants, the food and experience was delightful. But we especially enjoyed shopping at the local grocery store and grabbing delicious food at the pasticcerias. Make sure to visit the local ceramic art store Fabbrica D'Arte, who welcomed me to shop and purchase her beautiful work in advance of her opening in a few weeks.
If Cinque Terre is on your bucket list, this is the picture perfect place for you!

This home was beautiful, unique, and well equipped. The view and location were incredible. Our group of 4 adults stayed for 5 days and we would certainly return to stay here.

Excellent location with views of water, beach and city. Well equipped. Good restaurants nearby. The views are the best.
Very interesting tile floor.
If you have luggage with wheels, consider walking through tunnel and coming up the stairs from the other side of Fegina/train. Otherwise going over the top is uphill and uneven walkway. Be prepared fro some stairs at the property but the view is worth it.

My husband and I are in our 70s and active for our ages. We chose this home so that we would have a gorgeous view if we didn’t feel like walking around or if the weather wasn’t good. We stayed here for 8 days in October and this home was perfect. We had rain almost every day but not enough to slow us down. Watching the shockingly turbulent water from the windows was spectacular, like hurricane weather in Florida. We walked everyday in spite of the (mostly) light rain. A light rain jacket was adequate and our hiking boots were water resistant. The home is convenient to two small grocery shops, many restaurants, and the trail to Vernazza. Hiking trails were closed during our stay, much to everyone’s disappointment. We saw many hikers turned away at the National Park entrances. Temperatures were very pleasant and fairly consistent, day and night. The home was very quiet at night. Because the boats ran only two of the 8 days were were there, due to the sea conditions, there were very few tourists down below the home at the water’s edge. The house is set apart from the old town below and for this time of year, it felt like our own secluded private bit of paradise. There was plenty of luxuriously scalding hot water, although once it is gone, apparently it takes 90 mins to heat back up. (according to info posted in the house) We never had a problem with not enough hot water. Kitchen was wonderful for cooking. Unique, comfortable, gorgeous home on solid rock. We loved it!

What an incredible place to escape from the world. Evenings on the balcony with a glass of wine were priceless!

You simply cannot ask for more in Cinque Terre! This house is located right on the beach in Monterosso, steps from the train station, the lovely town and all of its shops and restaurants, and the trail to Vernazza. In addition to its amazing location, it is beautiful, with a modern kitchen, comfortable living spaces, and incredible patio looking out over the Mediterranean. At the end of a long day exploring, there is nothing better the sun go down and listening to the waves lapping against the shore. The hosts make everything so easy, and checking in and out is a breeze. After visiting each of the five towns and walking all around them, I didn't see a single place I would have rather stayed than this house!

This is an amazing home! The location, spaces, and views are unmatched. The perfect home base for a visit to Cinque Terre. The hosts provided so much great information and check-in process was smooth and easy. We can’t wait to return. Thank you for sharing this special place.

Right above the marina with views of the beaches and Monterosso! Beautiful inside and well appointed, but we spent most of our time on the shaded terrace staring at the ocean/coastline/village views. Very quiet at night and all spaces are air conditioned if you prefer to close the windows. 2-3 min walk to stores , eating, and local sites.
Way better than staying in a hotel and was very reasonably priced.
Cristina, the local host was great and communicated easily with us prior to arrival via WhatsApp and met us as we arrived to go over the property.

Totally amazing property. So beautiful, wonderful location. Enjoyed the good weather on the deck away from the crowds but right at old town. Everything was perfect. They have thought of everything. Thanks for sharing your paradise with us.

Cinque Terre is amazing, and this is the perfect rental. The house was spacious, comfortable, and the perfect location. It exceeded our expectations. Cristina was incredibly friendly and very helpful. We hope to return for a longer stay in the future.

We were blown away by the location at first, then became so enamored with the entire apartment that we didn't even want to leave each day to see the rest of the cinque terre. Cristina our host was so kind and helpful upon check-in. The Fegina public parking lot is only 8 minutes walking distance to the apartment. A small flight of stairs down to the entrance of the unit required little effort with our luggage, but very easy. We can't wait to return!

The villa was an amazing place to stay while we explored Cinque Terre; however, we would have been content to sit all week and soak up the incredible view!

We only had two nights in this home, but we wish we could have stayed for much longer. Not only is it beautiful in decoration, views, and surroundings but the host helped us get into the apartment even though we arrived late at night. She went above and beyond to help us – we will absolutely be back! :)

We LOVED our stay here! The location was phenomenal. The beach is literally at the base of the stairs from the house. The spacious home was just what we needed after fighting the crowds in Rome and Florence for six days. The place was super clean and the owners super friendly. Highly recommend!!

The location of this house is perfection! You are literally ON THE WATER! It was one of our favorite places we've stayed ever. The house is so beautiful. Well stocked kitchen. Very comfy beds! The property manager was so accommodating. I would never come to Monterosso and stay anywhere else! Ten out of five stars!

The best place to stay in Monterosso! And cinque terre
Literally steps away from the beach and minutes away from the train station and lido!
