You’ll have plenty of room for family and friends to join you in this beautifully appointed and spacious cabin, with 5 BR (including 2 king master suites), 5 full baths & 2 half baths, that sleeps up to 10 in beds (limit based on Union County Short-Term Rental code), just minutes from Blairsville and charming Blue Ridge.
We offer a FAMILY and/or BUSINESS PROFESSIONAL setting, so no big parties are allowed. Per Union County Ordinance, as outlined by Sec 48-04, amplified sound that disturbs or causes a nuisance to neighboring properties is not allowed. If we are notified of a violation of this ordinance by renters, the assessed fee will be deducted from the security deposit.

MAIN/ENTRANCE LEVEL:
The main level features cozy seating in the sunroom, a two-sided, floor-to-ceiling fireplace, peeking into an open living room, dining room, fully equipped kitchen, and powder room.
The dining room seats 8, plus 4 bar stools at the kitchen island. In the living room, you'll find a smart TV with access to YouTube TV for free programming, or login to your own streaming accounts, plus a DVD player and small DVD library. Purchases through owner apps are not allowed and anything charged will be deducted from the damage deposit.
Off the living room is the main/master bedroom as described above.
Main level wrap around deck hosts a barn-wood table (seats 8-10), a pub style table (seats 5), along with plenty of rocking and other chairs to crowd around a gorgeous outdoor fireplace. Relax in the hammock or enjoy a rousing round of corn-hole. You’ll also find both a gas grill and a charcoal BBQ pit on the main level deck.
LOFT/UPSTAIRS:
Upstairs includes a loft level master bedroom, as described above, and is connected to the loft living area, as described above.
BASEMENT LEVEL:
The basement level has a comfy living area, table for games, as well as a shelf stocked with games, playing cards, and books, and a flat screen TV with VCR and video library, and streaming available via a ROKU device with access to YouTube TV for free programming, or login to your own streaming accounts. Purchases through owner apps are not allowed and anything charged will be deducted from the damage deposit. (Note that the gas log/two-sided fireplace is not currently working.)
The three bedrooms surround the basement living area and are as described above.
The laundry room is located in the basement with a full-size washer/dryer and an iron and ironing board. Bed linens are provided for each bed and bathrooms are all stocked with plenty of towels and a hair dryer. We also have several beach towels and rags in the basement laundry room for use on the dock, or to clean up a mess. (Please don't stain our white towels!)
For your convenience, we provide a vacuum, brooms, and a mop.
BASEMENT LEVEL PATIO:
The patio on the lower level has tables and chairs for gathering and enjoying a closer look at the outdoors.
PETS:
Dogs are welcome with the payment of $100 pet fee. Limit of 2, no more than 55lbs each. Must be well behaved. Not allowed on furniture/beds. Bathroom breaks must be in discrete areas and/or clean up after them.
OTHER AMENITIES:
When you're not enjoying the sun from the boat dock, making use of boat rentals (see notes below about Nottely Boat Club), or hiking around the area, you'll find plenty of other things to do at Kudzu Cabin. We have kayaks and several life vests, hula-hoops, a corn hole game, bocce ball set, and horse shoes, as well as plenty of books, games, poker set, cards, and videos for the kids to watch. And of course, the nearby towns of Blairsville, Blue Ridge, and Murphy, NC have entertainment events, art shows, and other attractions, year-round.

Check expected lake water levels for your trip by visiting https://www.tva.com/environment/lake-levels, select Nottely. Lake Nottely is TVA controlled, with water levels at full pool during peak season - gradually increasing up through Memorial Day (typically much earlier than that) and gradually decreasing after Labor Day. Any drought or rainy conditions in North Georgia can also have an impact on lake water levels. Note that our boat dock is in deep water and in the past, we have not had issues getting boats in and out during peak season and often have good access well before and after peak season.

Trying to find a place big enough for our children, nieces and nephews is no easy feat. KUDZU CABIN was the perfect fit! Not only were the accommodations just right for our group, it allowed for the inclusion of our daughter and her family and brother and his family who live in Blairsville. The double decker dock provided excellent space for everyone to gather and accommodated my brothers speedboat as well as a pontoon. Nottley Lake is beautiful and the home well situated and well stocked with everything needed to enjoy the clear, warm lake. Communications with the owners went very smoothly, check-in the easiest I have experienced. You will not regret renting Kudzu Cabin for a family gathering. One word of caution, the steps from the driveway level down to the lake access are a little steep and care should be taken if you choose to go that way rather than from basement level. My husband fell and cut himself pretty bad. He should have been wearing sneakers rather than his Italian loafers. Just an FYI. KUDZU CABIN contributed to an AMAZING family get together with beautiful memories.

Great location, great house, awesome owners. We had our annual family vacation with 10 adults. Everyone had a bed and bathroom. Plenty of indoor and outdoor spaces to spread out. Amazing outdoor porches. Fully equipped kitchen that even had the crockpot I forgot - super handy. Lots provided for lake adventures - kayaks, life vests, dock chairs and the big lake float was used daily. We didn't rent a boat, but probably will for a day next time. Blairsville is a quick drive and has everything you need. Local wineries are great. THANK YOU for the memories.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Kudzu Cabin. The house was large enough for our party of 10; plenty of beds, several sitting areas, well-quipped kitchen, more than enough bathrooms, and great covered outdoor areas. Access to the dock concerned us a little as one of our sons is 6 weeks out from major back surgery but it turned out to be very manageable and almost a blessing in disguise. We all got our steps in over the week. We spend a lot of time at the boat dock; floating and swimming in the lake.
Communication with the owner was very easy and we received prompt replies to our questions. We’re already talking about next year; hopefully at the same cabin.
Definitely would recommend this cabin.

We enjoyed our family get together at the cabin in June. There was plenty of room for everyone from grandparents to toddler. The cabin was clean and well stocked. We've been vacationing on the lake for many years and unfortunately this was the first time that it rained all week. We still made the best of it and fit it some boating and swim time in between the rain showers. The dock is great although it is a bit of a trek from the house down to the dock. Since the cabin is located up in a cove it was nice not to have much boat traffic going by. I recommend this cabin to other families.

Our vacation to Nottely Lake was absolutely wonderful and Kudzu Cabin was a large part of the reason! The cabin is decorated very tastefully and the wooded setting provided lots of wildlife encounters. In the mornings, we sat on the main deck sipping our coffee and listening to the world wake up- woodpeckers pecking, turkey’s calling and many other species of birds saying good morning. After days of hanging on the huge dock and pontooning, we gathered on the back porch and enjoyed a crackling fire each night. We were serenaded by frogs, whippoorwills and owls. We have vacationed in many accommodations but this cabin provided the most well appointed kitchen we have ever encountered. We all love to cook and were so very pleased with the high quality implements provided at this cabin. This was the perfect place to meet our kids and grands (we live in Mississippi and they reside in Kentucky) and we are making plans to meet at Kudzu Cabin again soon. 💗

While this cabin is beautiful and I very much enjoyed my time with my family here. The host was less than accommodating and the cabin was not accurately captured in the Vrbo photos. This not cheap rental however everything labeled and threats of additional charges in several rooms throughout.

The house was exactly what we were looking for. We had four couples, each with there own bedrooms and bathrooms as well as a kits bedroom and bathroom. The kitchen was extremely well equipped! ( we cooked a full blown Thanksgiving dinner...no problem) Great location for day trips to hiking, wineries, other towns. Message to owners...if you decide to sell this property let us know...

There were 3 families sharing this home on the water and we had the best time. It was clean, well stocked with everything you could need and so much fun!!! The location is beautiful and so quiet. The dock is awesome and the water was clean and the perfect temperature for Labor Day weekend. I would highly recommend it.

The house itself is gorgeous and very spacious. It is located on a quiet part of the lake which is great for small children that are swimming. The home is fully stocked with everything you could possibly need for a wonderful family retreat .

Kitchen needed a better skillet. Otherwise the kitchen was well equipped.
Everyone loved the space and dock. Thank you! It was a great vacation spot for our family of nine and a few friends who stop by for a day or two.

The main reason we rented this house was the view of Lake Nottley. The lake is apparently drained every October per the locals. The landlords should have let us know this prior to our final payment. We should have been informed that the pictures on the VRBO site were not accurate.

The two-story dock was a hit with the kids. It was so much fun to watch them jump off!

We stayed at the "Kudzu cabin" for a family gathering which was halfway for all family members traveling from Illinois and Florida. The cabin was true to all of the amazing pictures. Everyone in the family had their own bedroom and bathroom. Loved the size of the kitchen and all the kitchen necessities needed to cook nightly for our foodie crew. Loved Lake Nottely as we did rent a pontoon boat and explored daily. The boat dock was a bit farther than expected and the walkway was steep with lots of roots. Some of the outdoor sports equipment could a use a little updating. We loved the property and location and would definitely go back.

Great location and plenty of space for everyone. The kids loved jumping from the top of the boat dock. Lots of fish were caught, including a couple of “first timers”. White water rafting and tubing were very close. We loved our time at the Kudzu Cabin

We really enjoyed staying here. The home is spacious and one of the best equipped rentals I've encountered. Loved grilling and dining outside on the deck. We put in our boat and kayak at a nearby ramp and kept the two tied up in the boat dock during our stay. Made it really convenient for us. Great place to stay!

This is a really nice rental with plenty of room. We had 6 people and a small dog fit us great with 2 extra rooms! We trailered our 25' Pontoon to the lake which was awesome! Parking for trailer was in front of house. The dock was a nice hang out spot! We tried fishing and tubing out on the lake was a lot of fun. We also did some local hiking to waterfalls and mountain biking in Ellijay. Like the small town and the house was great for entertaining! Bring your food to cook as well there are some local restaurants but we preferred to cook ourselves. Would rent again!

We had a lovely time catching up with friends and family bonding time at the Kudzu Cabin! The cabin was very well stocked and nicely laid out for our three families to enjoy! Plenty of room for our group of 12. We would love to go back!

Our family (3 generations) had a wonderful time. Plenty to keep the kids engaged. It didn't hurt that the weather was perfect for swimming and fishing. Val and Doug have a real gem here. We appreciate them opening their beautiful lake home to us.

The boat dock was loads of fun we all took kayaks and really enjoyed the lake and had a wonderful time swimming! The beds were very comfortable, everything was extremely clean in order I would recommend this exquisite home for your vscstion stay!

This was our 2nd stay in this spacious cabin. It is clean and offers comfort for a large group. We have 16 family members who enjoyed the many amenities. Our only suggestion is to add a smaller refrigerator on the lower level to accommodate larger groups such as ours.

There is great emphasis on keeping the house clean but the home is not set up in a way that facilitates there wishes. A shoe rack on the outside of the front door would be a help or enough rugs by the front door on the outside or inside would help. This is also true for the back porch areas lower and upper. A vacuum would help rather than a broom. White towels for a house in a mountainous area with clay soil is just silly, it makes it difficult at best to keep the towels clean. The add is misleading in that there is not a clear view of the lake. You can see it through heavy trees..
