Property was clean and we had no issues. It was as expected. Property is outside of Oxford, but close enough. I enjoyed the outdoors location. I hope to return during a warmer month and would like to fish in the lake. Property owners were very helpful. Recommend you consider this property.

We had a wonderful time. Two couples in our 70s. Whoever stays upstairs needs to pay attention when going down the stairs. The landing is narrow. And the steps are steep. use the railing. And go slowly. Or stay downstairs. And have those younger stay up there. And don’t wear socks. It is slippery.
We were there 4 nights. Our granddaughter was graduating Ole Miss. Twenty minute drive to the Square. Easy peasy. Comfortable beds. Nice hot water. Kitchen nicely equipped. We cooked breakfast every morning. I did buy another 10” fry pan (nonstick) And donated it. The one I used the first morning was way past being nonstick. It was worth buying another at WalMart.
Would we stay there again? Absolutely!!

Enjoyed a great quiet weekend on this beautiful property with our middle school age boys while our daughter visited Ole Miss. Oxford square/campus about 15 minutes away for shopping, baseball games, and great food. Back at the property we enjoyed peace and quiet, nice clean interior, and fishing off the porch with small poles. Owners friendly and easy to reach through vbro site. Taylor quaint country town.

My husband and I stayed for for 4 days and it was perfect. The house is comfortable and very clean. Everything there for cooking or grilling. Trails through the beautiful property for walks. The bed was SO comfortable! The house itself is very unique in the craftsmanship, very beautiful wood throughout. We will definitely come back!

The cabin type home was in Taylor about 15 minutes from Oxford. Very quiet & private. It was clean & plenty of space for the 4 of us. The 2 bedrooms are spacious. The beds are super comfy & the master bath looks like it has been recently remodeled. It’s an older home so the den area has a cabin musty type smell but nothing too bad. Kitchen had what we needed. Enjoyed our stay.

Surrounded by nature, this private and beautiful house house is perfect for a for a secluded get away. We were even allowed to bring our 2 dogs. The property owner was helpful and responsive. It is only 15 minutes from the Ole Miss campus. Highly recommend!

Clean & quiet. My wife & I stayed here with my father in law for a niece’s wedding in Taylor. I snuck in a little fishing in between rehearsal & wedding. 18” and 19” bass and something big that broke me off in some brush. Nice place, we had a good weekend.

Gorgeous property. We stayed here while moving our son into College. We are from NY so decided to make it a vacation. We had a relaxing calm week at this gem of a house. It’s about 15 minutes from Ole Miss. Away from the crazy college scene but close enough to drop in. The house is comfortable and well equipped with everything you need.

Nice base for exploring Blues Country
We really enjoyed our stay. The house is beautiful. The amenities are good. Hosts were very helpful. It was the peaceful location we were looking for in a "home base" for our exploring Blues country. I would say that it is more of a large pond vs a lake. But, that did not matter to us. The owner was very accommodating and apologetic for some construction that was happening during our stay. We really weren't too bothered by it. The home must be well insulated considering the noise was minimal. Plus, we were out and about during the day while they were working. So, it wasn't a deal breaker. I will definitely be interested in coming back to stay when visiting my daughter in Memphis area. Thank you for your hospitality!

PICTURES DO NOT DO JUSTICE
This place was absolutely amazing! My fiancé, our parents, and I, along with our two small dogs, absolutely LOVED this place. The pictures in my opinion made it look smaller than it was because we were amazed at how open it felt. Everything was so homey feeling! The water was down, so fishing wasn’t the best, but definitely didn’t mind it. There is a lot of natural lighting that comes through which makes it so open feeling. Beds were so comfortable, we wanted to load them up! The location of the place was so quiet and secluded. We did want to leave at all! Will definitely be back out. Only suggestion is to learn the gate! For the life of us, we could not figure it out. The host was amazing and very responsive! They definitely put a lot into this house and making it a nice stay. This stay was everything we needed and more and we WILL be back! ❤️

On Golden Pond in Taylor Mississippi.
Quaint quiet peaceful setting. Cottage located on pond full of fish and turtles beautiful scenery. Cottage was very well-crafted. Disappointment was that cottage and deck was in disrepair and in much need of maintenance. Grounds that were adjacent to cottage had remittance of burnt garbage and trash. If these items would be addressed, it would be a perfect location. Considering all of the above we had a wonderful stay and would return.

Family graduation
The property is a small cabin on a pond/lake. It is not a perfect new house so if that is what you are expecting you will be disappointed. It has character and interest. The checkin was super easy. Everything was exactly as represented. We had so much fun going to Lost Dog Coffee across the highway in Plein Air. Nice stay.

Pros and cons
First of all we enjoyed the place. The grandchildren caught bass and had a blast fishing. The house is old but beautiful workmanship. The place needs a thorough cleaning. The toilet paper holder was broke. There’s a crack in the upstairs bedroom door. The balcony roof is rotting and falling apart. There are wasp nests everywhere. There was a party of over 40 people next door and they used all the trash can room to overflowing. There needs some light bulbs. We bought some for the lamps. It is dark in there at night. Need to invest in some shades in the living room especially during the afternoon. The sun shines in there where it’s too hot to sit on the couch. Bring blankets if you plan to use the fold out. It only had a sheet on it and that was dirty so the grandchildren slept with us. Just some small things but it was a beautiful place. The lake is tranquil and like I said the grandchildren caught 17 bass and 5 brim.. all catch and release. They named them. Made s’mores Saturday night. Would recommend it for anyone. Thank you.?

Wonderful place to stay.
So quiet, private and peaceful. Loved this cabin and its location. The Taylor Grocery is a great place for an evening meal, and you will enjoy listening to the local musicians in addition to your meal. If you go on a weekend night, go early to keep from standing in line.

Great house
We had a great trip to visit my son at Ole Miss. The house was perfect! Quiet & serene. It was far enough away for some quiet down time but close enough to enjoy the activities on campus. We will definitely look to stay here again another time!

Perfect!!
Absolutely perfect location! Great home, great location and wonderful accommodations.
Access to the property was super easy - I had never done a vbro before so I was a little nervous but it was simple.
The home was well stocked with everything we needed for the 6 days we were there - lots of towels, laundry supplies, coffee, cream and sugar.
Loved the nest heating/AC system - very responsive and worked quickly.
I would highly recommend this location and can’t wait to return.

Very relaxing getaway
If you’re looking for something off the beaten path but close to Oxford, this is your spot. Property is very nice and the lake was relaxing. Took the kids on the canoe and just paddled
around with no plan. Both kids caught their very first fish here. The lake house felt like home, it is very comfortable. Has towels, bedding and all the kitchen utensils you may need to cook a big meal. The only draw back for me was the spiders but it’s a lake house in the woods, it wasn’t unexpected. There’s satellite TV in case you want to just be lazy and enjoy a movie with the family. I’m sure if we visit the area again we will stay here again.

Right size and location for a get together. Had a quaint look to it with the woodwork. Nice little lake to fish in which we did, caught a few.

Retired Teachers Get-Away
My husband, my dear friend, and myself enjoyed a couple of days in this lovely lake house. All that we needed was available to us --- except some worms for fishing! The place was near Water Valley where we attended a Paul Thorn concert. We enjoyed it so much, in fact, that we really wanted to stay an extra day.

Beautiful, unique, spacious, comfortable
The lake house was perfect for our family getaway. It was fun to stay in a hand crafted home with unique design. It had everything we needed, had privacy yet was close to the beautiful town of Oxford and more.

Perfect getaway, despite the freezing temperatures.
We were so impressed with this perfect lake house! The pictures on the listing don't do it justice. Unfortunately, we didn't get to enjoy much of the outdoors due to unseasonably cold weather (the boys still played in a baseball tournament in Oxford, though).
The home itself is just adorable! We made use of the grill and well appointed kitchen. Thank you for a great time and we can't wait to visit again soon!
