Enjoy your Beach vacation at Mackerel Lane! Quick and convenient beach access with bathrooms is right up the street. Most household items are provided. Comfortable and plenty of room for the family. Each bedroom has a private full bathroom. Super fast WIFI. EV charger access upon request. Kitchen is supplied with everything you need to cook and large dining area has plenty of seating. Queen sleeper sofa in living room. This house sleeps 8 in beds comfortably. Maximum is 10 guests (extra guest fees may apply) 7 adults max. Plenty of room for all the children to sleep in the kids room or in extra twin beds in all rooms. MUST BE 25 or older to rent. NO pets. NO smoking. 0.3 mile to Beach access/Ocean! (Alabama Ave public access has 2 parking lots, showers and bathrooms) Mackerel Lane is very clean and well maintained. Furnished front porch.

Main floor has large living room with sleeper sofa and a love seat. There is no bedroom on main living floor. Kitchen, half bath and laundry room with washer and dryer on main floor. Upstairs has a "kids room" with twin over full bunk with twin trundle. This room sleeps 4 and has a full bath with tub/shower. Kids room has a smart tv. Primary suite- king bed, twin daybed, private balcony, bathroom has a large whirlpool tub and shower. Ground floor has queen bed and a twin sleeper chair. Outdoor shower and ground floor entrance through gate on side of house. NO cable tv. Driveway parking for 2-3 cars only. No on street parking. Unfortunately due to cleaning procedures I cannot offer early check in or late check out during PEAK summer season. Don't hesitate to ask if you have requests for your stay. I would like to provide as much as possible so you can pack less.

This beach house in Kure Beach is a perfect retreat! Stylish and spacious. Direct beach access requires a 7-minute walk, but it’s worth it for the beautiful sand and surf. The kitchen is well-equipped, and the bedrooms are very comfortable. The deck and outdoor space are great for relaxing and dining. Communication with Margaret was excellent—she was responsive and helpful. We loved our stay and will return!

The owner and property manager was easy to communicate with and prompt to answer our questions. The location to the beach was great. It’s about a ten minute walk, but we would pack up for the day and make the trip to spend several hours or more at the beach each day. There are public restrooms and showers by the beach. It’s a great set up. Tons of great local area restaurants to check out in the area, too! We had so much fun and things to do that we didn’t turn on a television once during our ten day stay. We’ll be back. Loved the property, Kure and Carolina Beaches, and the place in general! Hope to return!

I took my high school senior and five of his friends to the beach for a long weekend to celebrate their graduation. The house was set up well for friends or family who don't mind sharing rooms and/or beds.
The house is in very good shape and nicely decorated but not overdone. The kitchen had a ton of resources though some of the items in the cupboards were dirty, so we had to clean a bit to prepare food.
Definitely bring your own pillow if you're a challenged sleeper as the pillows were very thin/flat. But the mattresses were comfortable and the linens were fine. The bedrooms could use blackout curtains, but that's more of a personal preference from someone who needs a very dark room to sleep well. 😂

Communication with the host was easy and clear. Margaret was very responsive each time I messaged and in advance of the trip.
It's a very easy walk to Kure Beach, and the neighborhood felt friendly. Rinsing off using the outside shower and waterhose was easy upon returning to the house after being at the beach.
All in all, a great place to stay, and I'll likely return with my husband and two other kids at some point.

The Mackerel Lane townhouse was a great getaway for us! Set back just far enough in a quiet neighborhood, but also just a few short minutes walk to the public beach access! The townhouse was clean, well appointed, and well stocked! Margaret was accommodating, welcoming, and very easy to communicate with! The location was super convenient! Nearly all points of Carolina and Kure beach are reachable in an easy 10 minute drive. I should also note that Margaret was accommodating of our PHEV and allowed us to charge during out stay. We enjoyed every minute of our stay, and would absolutely stay there again!

Home Away From Home
We stayed here for a week in the spring and my children could not wait to come back. It’s perfectly located in a quiet neighborhood but still close enough to the beach access and boardwalk. The house is always pristine in it’s cleanliness and the comfort cannot be matched. The owners are exceptional with their communication. We could not ask for a better home away from home to stay in.

We booked at the very last minute. Owners were very responsive and offered us early checkin and late checkout. Very quite neighborhood, nice neighbors. And a quick run to Ft Fisher.

Great Home and Beach Location!
Family trip from Idaho to North Carolina to drop off some family members at Duke University. There were 6 of us and we had never experienced the North Carolina Coast. We feel fortunate that we were able to find this home! It was only a few blocks from the beach and had plenty of room to spread out for all of us. Carolina Beach and Kure beach were both amazing. We would definitely stay at this property again!

Beach Vacation
We enjoyed our family vacation at Kure Beach this year and plan to go again! The house was perfect four our family of 6. Three adults, 2 children and one infant. Very comfortable accommodations

Quiet anf comfortable
We got there and it was very clean and fully stocked with cleaning supplies. The only negatives were water pressure and no plunger so we had to go buy one. The A/C stopped running cold but the property manager sent a repair man and it was up and running cold in less than an hour. It was very quiet, the neighbors were nice and it was spacious for everyone to spread out.

Spring Break Escape
Two adults and four kids who needed a fun getaway to Carolina Beach and REALLY appreciated this house. It was super clean, well maintained, and everyone slept comfortably. The location is perfect to head to the beach for the day or down to fort fisher and then check out some local restaurants at night. We loved every moment of our stay.

Fantastic with toddlers!
We had a wonderful stay and would 100% stay here again. The location was great, it was super rainy so we did end up driving so we didn't do the walk but I think it would be fine with little kids. Very quick drive to the beach near the house with a bath house. Easy to get to CB board walk, Kure pier and Fort Fisher park (the beach her is awesome too!). The house was SPOTLESS. It is beautiful, clean and very well equipped. The bedroom layout is awesome too. The kids loved having their own room. We grilled and ate dinner on the front porch and that was lovely too. Neighborhood was lovely and walkable and the neighbors are very very nice. We'll be back! Thank you Margaret for being such a wonderful host!

Quaint property on the border of Carolina/Kure Beach
This is a beautiful and clean house located on the edge of Carolina Beach just before Kure Beach. It is about a 5-10 minute walk to the public beach entrance on Alabama St. The beach was not super crowded when we traveled in June granted the weather was not very good. The house is kept in beautiful condition and was exceptionally clean when we entered. The layout is great for 1-2 families- there are 2 bedrooms on the 3rd floor (Each with separate baths) and 1 bedroom with separate bath on the 1st level. Appliances are all up to date and grill was easily accessible in the driveway. Margaret was very accommodating and easy to deal with. She answered all of our questions within the hour. She truly cares about her guests having a great experience which made us feel very comfortable renting the property. I will undoubtedly stay here again.

Everything was described accurately. Kitchen well furnished. We did go to a public access to get to beach. If you go 2 blocks north there is no fee for kure beach acesses. Owner was very good to answer questions. Very nice house.
