THE LOCATION
This Falmouth home is centrally located in a quiet neighborhood. You’re just a half mile to Falmouth Heights Beach and less than a 1/4 mile to Falmouth Harbor. Hop on the ferry to Martha’s Vineyard for an easy day trip or head to Woods Hole which is just 5 miles away. You are just off the 6th mile marker of the infamous Falmouth Road Race!
When you need to pick up groceries, you’re less than a 1/4 mile . ( Shaw's and Stop N Shop). Also the Windfall Market ( Falmouth's Whole Food equivalent) is a short walk from the house by the harbor.
Don’t feel like cooking? No problem—there are plenty of restaurants within walking distance. Head over to the Shipwrecked ( former British Beer Company) for a pub atmosphere and English fare. Or, for an upscale seafood treat with ocean views, try the Sopranos or house favorite Flying Bridge (both are a half mile away and right on the beach/harbor). Or venture down town ( again 1/2 mile away) to a host of different eating options! My favorite place is C Salt on 28 again not far from house but reservations recommended or Estia downtown.
Ice Cream your thing??? Dairy Queen is a stone throw away or head downtown to Falmouth's own Ben & Bills!!! Smitty's Ice Cream is a short 15 min ride.
Coffee your thing... the new Black Dog Cafe on Falmouth Height Road makes for a great morning walk but with the traditional other options like Starbucks and Dunkin and Pickle Jar to name a few are all within a half mile of house.
For rainy-day amusement, restaurants, shops, a movie theater, are not far!..also a couple of bowling alleys ( Trade Center Bowl & Ryans)
Property fee of $25 covers you for up to $1500 in damages.

Highly recommend! Des was wonderful to work with and the house was amazing - perfect for our stay. It is close to everything and has great amenities. Thank you for such a great week!

This house is absolutely incredible! Everything about it was perfect. It was cozy, had everything we needed and the location was a dream. The host was just as incredible as the house! Very welcoming and super helpful. Would highly recommend this house to anyone who is looking for a trip to the cape and interested in spending time at the beach and taking the ferry to the vineyard, the house is walking distance to both! The only downside was we didn’t stay long enough this trip but have already booked a full week next year and are counting down the days.

We came to Falmouth for my sister's wedding and Des's place was perfect for me and my family. There was plenty of space and linens for everyone. The kids enjoyed the games provided. I wish we had more time to enjoy the amenities like bikes, beach gear, and outdoors space! My only suggestion would be to upgraded to keypad entry--although that would take away some of the charm of the older doors. We hope to visit again!

This Cape Cod Cottage was exactly as described and was clean and comfortable! The beds were very comfy and we had everything we needed (except washcloths so make sure you bring yours). The check in/out was very clear and easily understood and the neighborhood was quiet and peaceful. The house is convenient to so many things. We would definitely stay here again!

Our rental was very comfortable. Very nice location. Accessible to everywhere we wanted to go. The owner was quick to answer the few questions we had. We would recommend this listing to anyone coming to the Cape.

We can’t say enough about this property! It’s the best we’ve stayed in. The host has provided anything and everything a guest could need. Check in was simple and the house was easy to find. Falmouth is the perfect place to call home while exploring the Cape. The necessities r close by and the host recommended great places to eat nearby. We cooked in, relaxed at night and burnt the fireplace. Spring weather kept us from using the fire pit and grill, but it’s there if u need it!! It’s a super cute, super clean house that sleeps 8 people. I would recommend it to anyone!!

This was our second stay at Des’ house and we had a wonderful, relaxing stay. The house was exceptionally clean, very comfortable, and well stocked. The location is great- a nice quiet neighborhood within walking distance to the beach, close to restaurants, shops, etc. Des is great to deal with and responds quickly to any questions. We would definitely love to stay again- Thanks Des for another great stay!

A group of us stayed here for a friends' weekend. The house is very well appointed with everything we needed. It was a cold winter weekend, and we had a cozy fire in the fireplace, cooked, played board games and enjoyed our time together. Each room is very comfortable and inviting. The host made everything so easy and promptly answered a few questions we had before our visit. We would love to stay here again in the future!

Where do we even begin. My two friends and I rented this space while on a girls trip to Cape Cod. It’s a great location and a lovely home. We felt so comfortable, safe, and happy here. It’s hard not to feel relaxed in this beautiful home. The owners were gracious and so helpful with anything we had questions on or needed. I’ve already recommended this location to friends and family. If you’re considering it, it’s an amazing place to visit!

We love this house! Our group has stayed here the past two years in May and we love every second. The house is perfectly clean & a great space. The yard is amazing & the garage has all we need for a day at the beach. We are so thankful for the memories we have made at this home and hope to be able to come back to make more memories!

This was our family’s second stay here. We feel valued and well-respected at this property because the property owner responds cordially, if and when needed, and always ensures that the property is clean and cozy, and we are careful and meticulous to leave it the way we found it, although I hope and am confident that the cleaner still comes in to clean and sanitize for the next guest(s). Keep up the good work!

Super location! We walked or biked everywhere… to the beach, downtown for shopping and restaurants, two different grocery stores, ferry to Martha’s Vineyard, and Shining Sea bike path.
The cottage is well laid out for six adults with ample seating in dining and living rooms and well- stocked with linens, beach equipment, and kitchen items.
Our host made the process of booking and check in a breeze and responded quickly to a couple of logistical questions when we were onsite. Thank you, Des!

4 of us playing as part of a golf trip with 48 guys. We decided to stay in a house rather than hotel. Great choice. House was clean, central to restaurants. It was nicely appointed and made for a pleasant stay and experience. Host was very accommodating.

This is by far the best vacation rental we have stayed at. The house is clean and has newly remodeled bathrooms. The outdoor areas and bikes are such an amazing addition. The space is ample inside. The location is fantastic! It’s a quick walk to the ferry and restaurants and shops and the beach are nearby. We will definitely be staying here again!

The perfect place to stay! You will not be disappointed. Perfect location for your vacation. Close to everything? I wish we had more time to enjoy all that it had to offer. It was very clean and had everything you would need. To have an amazing time. The owner was very easy to communicate
with and would answer any question you may have. Five stars from our family.

This is by far the BEST VRBO rental we have had. The home is immaculately clean and appeared that the interior was freshly painted. Or party included my husband, myself, my son and our 9 year old granddaughter.
Everything we needed for cooking, cleaning and playing were organized so well that it was very easy to intuit where things would be.
We cooked all of our meals there. A wonderful fresh seafood market is very close by as were three grocery stores and our granddaughter loved walking to the Dairy Queen.
We walked and biked to the beach daily. We brought our own bikes but will leave them home the next time we rent. The house comes with many good bikes for every size person ( I’m 6’2”).
Falmouth Heights Beach is wonderful and getting there from the house with children is a breeze. Very close, few cars and most of the walk is on a sidewalk along a lovely town greenway.
It was hard to pull our granddaughter away from the fun provided at the house. We enjoyed the board and parlor games provided each evening and a warm fire in the indoor fireplace.
During the days, we all got very good at Corn Hole, loved reading on the comfy lawn chairs, sitting by the outdoor fire pit at night and loved eating our meals on the patio table.
This is a great spot for families. We will be back! Thank you Des!

What a wonderful cottage in Falmouth-- roomier than it appears from the outside, bright and sunny, with two more bedrooms up a steep flight of stairs, a nice dining room, cozy living room filled with toys and games, and one of the best-stocked kitchens I've ever seen.
The rocky beaches of Falmouth are all within a 10-15 minute drive, and the cottage is located in a nice, safe, quiet neighborhood a 3 minute walk to the nearest Starbucks. Lovely flower-filled backyard. Owner Des couldn't be nicer or more communicative. The family and I loved it-- we will be back!

The house was wonderful! There was, plenty of room and we loved all of the windows to let light in. The location was perfect for going into town or heading out to other locations on the cape.it was only about an hour to Boston so we went there for the day, as well. The house is well cared for and has all the amenities you coukd ever need. Des was wonderful with communication before, during, and after our stay. We would definitely like to stay again!

Comfortable, clean, well stocked house in a great location. Nice, quiet neighborhood- very close to many restaurants, shops, and beaches- many within walking distance. Des was a great host- responded quickly to any questions- left clear instructions for everything in the house manual, which made checking in and out very easy. Thank you Des for a relaxing family vacation!

We are a family of 5 (two adults, one grandparent, and two kids aged 4 & 6) and the house was perfect for us for a getaway in February. The house is VERY well stocked with everything we needed in the bathrooms and kitchen. Even kids soap! Cooking staples in the pantry and great dishes, bowls, serving items. Great games and books in the living room for all ages. Beds were SO comfy! And blankets were warm and plentiful. Towels were soft and luxurious. Heat worked great. We were all very warm, comfy, and very relaxed and happy all weekend :) Owner was easy to communicate with and gave lots of great suggestions for nearby kids activities and restaurants, which we visited and can verify were great! Beach was close by but given it was snowing out we just checked it out and did a quick walk. Overall, we couldn't have been happier with the house, it was perfect!!
