Older house but cozy cabin feel, it was perfect for us. Beds were comfy. Can't beat the view and only a short walk to the beach with a nice playground for the kids.

Wonderful views and setting. Cabin had almost everything we needed. A few comments.
Placements on dining table had crumbs, WiFi inconsistent, outside deck furniture could have been cleaned, some kitchen utensils were rusted, dishes had been washed, but significant number of them were still dirty, I ran it again and then ran out of cleaning pods.you should have more cleaning supplies available depending on length of stay.

This location was perfect and had such an amazing view! The neighborhood was quiet and it was definitely a place to rest and relax. The accommodations were comfortable. We would love to come back and stay here again someday!

Anything you might need to have a vacation, we sat in the breeze on the porch and that was already more than enough. Perfect little spot with character - we loved it.

My wife and I loved this property. The listing was very accurate and there were no surprises about the location, view, rooms, etc. It would have been perfect until we found there were dirty dishes in many of the cupboards, there was food under the couch and in between the chair cushions! We felt we had to inspect every dish, knife, etc. before using it. Vacasa did respond to our response of, "How were things when you arrived?" and were willing to send someone to clean, but still...disappointing.

This property is a great get -away for some peace and quiet and amazing views. The property management company Vacasa was wonderful to work with and everything appears as the pictures show. Very relaxing!

This property was adorable. You can tell it’s a family home that is well loved and frequently used. The furnishings are modest but adequate. Super cozy living area with amazing views of the bay. The neighborhood is very quiet but conveniently located to the main road. Both bedrooms are downstairs along with the only full bath, which was recently remodeled. Initially the property seemed clean but after a couple of days we noticed dirty dishes in the cabinets and a few areas that needed a little more scrubbing. There are also a few minor things in need of repair. Overall we loved our time here and we would definitely stay again.

House was perfect for our stay. The view is amazing, and location was very peaceful and quiet. Host was quick to answer the question we had and even text that the house was ready for early check in which was amazing. Highly recommend and would stay again!

House was great for the weekend…kind of a far drive from Coupe ville and point Deception and Ebby Landing! But we were happy to find a house on the island as we like to eat at home.
Love the outdoor seating. Beach is up the street at Freeman Park! Saw eagles and seals…relaxing spot. Nice and quiet

Our short list of places to return too.
We really enjoyed our stay at the property. We spent hours looking out the windows. The kitchen had all the tools we needed, the beach was great for rock collecting, and the fire ring was a real treat. We did need to grab some dishwasher detergent and found the nearby Payless grocery, Ace, and Rite Aid were very convenient. Thank you for sharing your property.

Lovely location
Property management are extremely slow in replying to email —- at checkout we still haven’t heard back from a simple question submitted 2 days ago. Question was “is there bottle / can recycling?”
Place is well supplied however dish washcloth could be provided and a new toaster is needed. Also dishwasher soap would be appreciated
Very minor things - we highly recommend the place and hope to return soon

Stunning views
Overall this was a lovely property, and the views from the living room were the major selling point. There are two additions that I think would be helpful for visitors. 1) Make it very clear that if you want coffee in the morning you need to bring your ground coffee (expected) AND filters for the coffee maker. This was very unexpected and so on our Sunday morning where we had planned to lounge in PJs we needed to get dressed to drive into town if we wanted coffee. And we did, cuz it's winter in Washington. 2) a guest notebook explaining house basics.. like how to lock the keyless entry door when you leave the house, how and which of the three remotes to watch movies, and maybe some island basics about what is available in Freeland and the general area.

Excellent vacation house! Beautiful views for a sunny day or a thunder storm. Water access and a playground just down the road! The yard was great for the kids to run. Toys in the house for the kids was a bonus. Check in and out was a breeze.
We'll definitely be back!!

Incorrect listing
When we booked this property, the listing clearly mentioned "easy access to beach". This was the primary reason we booked this place because we wanted to be able to relax at the house while kids play on the beach. When we got there, the beach was 40 feet down with no way to access. In fact, there was a board with "No Beach Access" warning. We were very disappointed and called the property management company Vacasa. We followed up multiple times during our stay to get an update but never heard back. We see that the listing was changed after our complaint and it now calls out that there is no beach access. While we appreciate them doing it so that no one falls for it, this does not help us who ended up having our first vacation after lockdown completely spoiled. The company has not gotten back to us till the time of writing this review.

Quiet, clean, with a stunning view overlooking the water. Beach access with playground right around the corner. Water is calm, perfect for paddleboarding.
My kid loved discovering the bins of toys tucked away and watching Netflix (thank you!) I loved hanging out on the deck and reading. I only hope that next time the hot tub with be a available foe use!

Great Getaway with my Husband
We had the most relaxing time in Whidbey. The house was beautiful, comfortable, well-appointed, and right on the water. The view was outstanding! It's just a few minutes from Langley with tons of restaurants, bookstores, and art shops. We will definitely be back soon.

Relaxing and Peaceful Retreat
I wanted to rank this place 4.5, but it doesn't let me do a 1/2. This was such a wonderful, peaceful getaway! The plentiful light, gorgeous views across the bay and the nighttime bonfires made our weekend so relaxing. We were also grateful for all the attention to detail for kids (child-friendly movies and lots of toys and games that my son enjoyed a ton!) It is located in a great area and really close to the grocery, food or pharmacy, as well as a small beach and playground just down the hill. I wish the hot tub was still a working option, if I'm honest. But we loved almost everything else! The only thing that was a negative was the rock hard bed. I had read about this, and knew that if we didn't get sleep (which we would not on such a really hard bed) it wouldn't be a vacation or restful at all. So I borrowed a bed topper and hauled it to Whidbey. That helped with one of the beds. Even though the owners prefer the hard beds, I think it wouldn't be hard to purchase a $50 topper and put it in the closet for guests who need a slightly softer sleep. It helped in our case (though it still wasn't awesome sleep) but it's a small thing that could go a long way for folks. Otherwise, my only other critique was the 10am checkout. Every other place we have ever been or rented had 11am checkout... and and that extra hour makes all the difference between being able to have a relaxing start to your last morning, and being in a rush to pack and get out. Not sure if that is a covid adjustment for VACASA? or their regular thing... but it was def a bit too early, esp since the next check-in isn't until 4pm. But overall, this is a really great place, and we were really grateful to the owners for sharing their beautiful home and putting so much attention into the details! Hope to visit again!

This home not only provided great views it was clean and tidy. The kitchen had pretty much anything you would need (the coffee pot takes about 45 minutes to brew so plan ahead). The top floor was spacious with wide open views. Prior reviews said there were no screen doors but this has been corrected. The downstairs has been upgraded within the last few years and the layout and decor is great. I concur with prior reviews, the king bed is like sleeping on plywood. It was the only downer since my husband has a bad back and it left him in rough shape. We appreciated the Netflix and Hulu options however only the very basic cable prevented us from watching the Zag game and the island had no options with the COVID restrictions (a minor inconvenience and I would think typically one would not want to watch much TV anyway). Go Zags!Beautiful back yard and deck area. Nice fire pit. Bummer they choose to not run the hot tub. The grill wouldn’t start with igniter so we had to be crafty with some matches to light it LOL and it was not the cleanest (we didn’t see anything that would allow us to clean it). In summary this is a fantastic, well maintained rental!! We would definitely return. You can tell the owners take pride in their property and we were impressed with the cleanliness inside the home. Thanks for sharing part of your world with us!

We loved the view and location. Its a nice property with all the amenities. We would return. Enjoyed the firepit, even though the weather was a little chilly in March, but still a good time.

great home little time
The house was great, wish we had more time. I We went to find the home earlier like 12 so we knew where to go and saw the cleaners car there so we left and came back at 3. There was no car so we checked in. While we were looking around the house keeper came back. Made us feel like fools, made us leave and come back at 4. Not the best welcome. She should get lessons on courtesy but the HOME WAS GREAT. What a view!!
