The home was quiet and the creek was relaxing to look at. It was close to downtown Hayesville, Hiawassee, and Franklin. We wish the whole fireplace could have been used instead it was a wood burning stove...but no big deal during the summer months. It was a cozy cabin with confortable beds. Our family had a relaxing vacation and the views in Hayesville are better than all the other towns. Thank you.

We stayed here while visiting my daughter who is living in the area. It was perfect for the 5 of us and our dogs. Great location, very comfortable and a fenced in area for the dogs.

My family of 5 (older teens/young adults) had a great time at Jody’s cabin. WiFi worked great for devices as I had to do remote work during our trip. Loved listening to the creek, and enjoyed the back deck. House was very clean with plenty of kitchen items for cooking and grilling. Loved the surrounding areas drove all over viewing the fall foliage. Can’t wait to come back for wildflower season.

The house is so charming and the property has many touches that are just lovely! The longer you stay, the more you notice. The creek was clear and beautiful and the home is close to town but still feels remote. It truly was a retreat!

House is priced affordably! Creek was a lot of fun. House was a bit hot the first few days since there is no insulation in the living room, especially the loft area. Kitchen is well stocked for making meals! However I would have rather the refrigerator be completely empty when we arrived, the doors were completely full of previous guests items. We were not aware of this and showed up with a full weeks worth of groceries to store which was a bit difficult. I would definitely recommend the owners (when able to) replace the coffee maker (does not make hot coffee just warm), fix the master shower and the dishwasher and try to improve on the very dim lighting. Of course none of those things we keep me from recommending this home! Thanks so much for letting us enjoy a relaxing week at your home!

I spent a lot of my early childhood in this cabin. It was so magical to bring my 4 children and make memories with them here. This cabin is a true rustic cabin. Jody has put so much thought and time into it. It truly feels like home. Jody was readily available for any questions and everything you need is provided. I can’t wait to stay here again with my family. It really brought back some of my fondest memories. Thank you Jody for everything.

We had a baby and a bunch of kids with us, and this cabin was excellent for us! The house had games, the loft was exciting, and the creek was magnificent! Perfect for wading. Nearby was a 1 mile round trip hike to see Laurel Falls, and even the 3 year old could do it! The rustic cabin was clean, the kitchen SO well stocked, and it was so simple to interact with the owner. A wonderful vacation, would 5/5 recommend!

We LOVED our stay here. There was so much space for our family to spread out but it was also super cozy. We enjoyed playing pool and sitting on the porch in the morning listening to the creek. We will definitely be returning.

Wonderful cabin beside a mountain stream. Comfortable and well equipped. We enjoyed being able to have our dog with us. Easy to get to and nice Ingles grocery store not to far away.
Hope to come back in the future!

I was looking for a quick weekend getaway to celebrate the end of school with my teens without breaking the bank. This cabin is unbeatable for value for money. It slept all 5 of us comfortably and is spacious for hanging out and relaxing. The cabin and grounds are spotless. The cabin’s kitchen is probably the best stocked. Better than my own home! The owner was very responsive to my questions about using the sauna and recommendations for fishing. We did not see many fish in the creek out front but it was still on the colder side for the time of year. The boys had fun wading up and down the stream and we brought our own tubes to ride also. It was easy to get out to Lake Chatuge, which we did 3 times for fishing and a day on a boat.
The wcabin is on a very very quiet road. We barely saw any other cars pass by. It’s really an access road to the homes on it. Finally, there really is no cell service so print the door access code and directions before you go! Once you get on the house wifi, it’s no problem and there is a landline in the home. We always like to feel away from the hustle, so suited us fine.
Highly recommend. Amazing value for the affordable price!

The home was perfect and worth revisiting our next time in the area. Great stream frontage for a relaxing time with the family.

Property was nice, and secluded to be in a neighborhood. The only problem we had was that the AC couldn't keep up in the great room and we weren't allowed to turn it down very far. That being said, we were there over the 4th, so it probably wouldn't be an issue most of the year

This cabin has everything and more a family needs for an enjoyable stay. The cabin, location and property are perfect for a NC winter or summer. The creekside is picturesque and a lot of fun, the fireplace cozy, and beds are comfy. Plenty of porchside seating areas for larger families. Also great for birdwatchers, relaxing or exploring the local areas like Lake Chatuge (Dam) JackRabbit, wineries and mountain views. There are many adorable touches to give that fun country cabin appeal. (I think the cleaning person could do better)
We wish we could have used the sauna and guest rooms but ended up just the 3 of us and we enjoyed the pool table and game room anyway. I would highly recommend for families of all ages that want a cozy cabin mountain getaway.

This is the best-equipped VRBO I've ever visited! Plenty of dishes, towels, pots & pans, and anything you need - even ice cream in the freezer and some food in the pantry!! Highway 64 is a NC speed trap, so slow down and enjoy the scenery! Firehouse 17 Restaurant at 1717 Hwy. 17 is well worth the visit.

We really enjoyed our stay! Room for everyone and wonderful site. Caught a few native trout in the stream behind the house. I would not hesitate to rent again.

The cabin was very clean and well supplied. The game room was a great bonus. The view from the deck and the sound of the rippling creek was mesmerizing. The neighborhood is quiet with just the right amount of privacy without being too far from town. Would highly recommend for a family getaway. Our family of 5 had a great vacation here.

It was a nice cabin that was perfect for our first Christmas trip. Sitting on the porch drinking coffee was a favorite. The lightning is a little dark but wasn't a problem at all. Jody was very friendly and checked in to make sure everything was going well for us. Definitely recommend.

My family and I had a wonderful time at this home. Was just what we all needed. We loved the home, decor, location, the stream, the little town, shopping, really everything. Miss Jody was great. We met the neighbor across the street whom was very nice. Fell in love with the cat. I would recommend this home to anyone (but do note that the steps and path to creek is steep which may be difficult for some elderly or handicapped). Beautiful yards, the leaves were just starting to turn. Our day trips were a breeze. Evenings on the deck with a glass of wine listening to the stream was very relaxing. Thank you so much Miss Jody for allowing us to share your home. We will definitely be back one day. Was one of my favorite trips to the mountains.

This cabin had everything we needed, kitchen had everything beds are comfortable. Plenty of comfortable seating in living room. Down stairs was a big bonus with TV and pool table. We discovered the sauna on last day, we didn't utilize it but next time. Loved sitting on back porch listening to shooting creek, my husband caught 6 trout up stream a bit. We have stayed at many vrbos and I can't think of anything to complain about. Thanks for making it so comfortable. We will be back.

I had a relaxing time. The area is quiet the house is secluded and the owner went out of her way to help me. I had problems opening the lockbox and she sent the housekeeper to help me. Also I left my dog's all time favorite toys and Jodi is going to get them to me. I liked the personal touches as much as the seclusion.

We were overwhelmed by the attention to detail and character of this house. The bird watching is unbelievable. The fenced yard was so convenient to have for our dogs and kids. The creek was amazing and so fun, we will be back when it’s warmer to enjoy it again!

We had a restful time together in this cozy cabin. The guys did a little fly fishing for trout at Fire's Creek Picnic area and on the Tusquittee Creek near the bridges with great success in deeper holes in the creeks. We explored the area (big loop from Hayesville up through to Bryson City down to Franklin and back) sight seeing from the car on one rainy/icy day and enjoyed the antique shops, fly shops and book stores in the area. We also celebrated our son's 24th birthday at Brother's at Willow Ranch in Young Harris, GA. The food, staff and atmosphere there was superb! Overall it was a great trip!

Owners were very nice and easy to contact. Cabin was great and location was too. The river sounds so peaceful from the cabin. I even caught a rainbow trout on a lure down by the bridge. It's a great place to getaway for a week. My family loved it.

We loved staying at the cabin. It was big enough for the kids to have room to play. We loved the creek and looking for rocks in it. The only thing I would change is in your pictures of the cabin let people know that there are neighbors right there next to you at creek. They were no trouble at all, just didn't know they were that close. But over all GREAT experience and Jody was very pleasant to speak with.

We spent a week here. We really enjoyed going to Helen, playing in the stream behind the house and spending time on Lake Chatuge. Would definitely come back.
