This is basically the perfect rental experience. I visited Houston with my brothers for a weekend trip to watch baseball, and the host responded immediately to my booking. She then followed up as the trip got closer to let me know when to expect check in details and then followed through on that with everything we would need.
The check in was incredible easy and the place is exactly as described, super clean and with two huge bedrooms. The dining and living areas were spacious and comfortable, and the kitchen had everything you would need.
The host had left a personalized note and a bottle of wine for us, and then messaged appropriately during the weekend to ensure things were going smoothly and inform us of checkout process. We tidied up a bit, but there was none of the pages of rules you come to expect from a rental - just drop the keys and they take care of the laundry and such.
The neighborhood is also fantastic, and the apartment is walking distance from some fantastic restaurants, and Montrose as a neighborhood is as close to everything you would want to do as you can expect in Houston. If you drive, there is parking right outside the unit.
Everything about this was ideal and I will definitely book here again for future trips.

A friend and I stayed for a long weekend in this beautiful home. The home had today’s modern conveniences, but kept the charm of a 1930-40 bungalow. Beautiful wood floors look original, and had an updated small kitchen overlooking the charming garden. There was plenty of room for two and would be good for two couples. We ate at a great restaurant just steps away, and were so close to Rice Univ and the Montrose area. The host was more than nice and helpful. Never had to wait for a response. Even helped to carry our bags out. This will be our go-to stay in Houston from now on.

Took my 92 years old father to Houston to see his granddaughter for Easter weekend. Anton met us upon arrival at night with the property well lit, helping us get settled. We were greeted with a bottle of wine, fruit, water, snacks, as well as a personal note. The property was well stocked with bath towels and toiletries. Deborah communicated well throughout the entire process. The neighborhood is walkable to many great restaurants and coffee shops. Thank you for sharing your lovely home.

Ideal location, ideal size, ideal for us. 3 people in Houston for Foto Fest who dined in one night (tip-top kitchen) and also ate out nearby. Very tranquil and quiet at night. Also Menil and St Thomas nearby.

We enjoyed our 4 night stay in this very comfortable and spacious townhouse in Montrose. The location is excellent, within walking distance to several restaurants and supermarkets. The very well equipped kitchen provided us with everything we needed to cook a delicious dinner which we enjoyed in the attractively furnished dining room. An ideal home away from home.

This felt like home from the minute we stepped in. We then saw the welcoming flowers, snacks, fruit and bottle of wine in the fridge. The apartment feels calm and stylish, is spacious and cozy with lovely corners to sit in, was so comfortable and had everything we needed and a place for everything The patio area was delightful to be in and look out on.
The location was perfect with shops and restaurants nearby, lovely tree-lined streets to walk in and close to all the places we wanted to go to and people we wanted to see.
Deborah was a charming host, gave us all the information we needed, was responsive and the check in and check out were flawless.
We will make this our home again on our visits to Houston.
Thank you Deborah.

1920s home is beautiful and comfortable for two couples. Snacks upon arrival! Every morning I sat in the backyard by the koi pond and meditated. The neighborhood is close to yummy restaurants and unique boutiques. Most things were a 10 to 20 min walk away. It was the perfect place for us!

Our stay was nothing but WONDERFUL! The communication with Deborah was great! The unit had everything we needed and was SO clean even for the pickiest of guests! Beds were very comfortable, extra blankets and a lot of towels. Location worked well for us, close to restaurants and about 10 minutes from MD Anderson. Don't pass this one up, we would book again!

My husband, my adult son, and I enjoyed 10 days in this lovely rental. The property description is right on. Parking was surprisingly easy. The house was clean and comfortable. Deborah was so thoughtful - a bottle of wine and treats were left for us and her husband even asked if we needed to borrow anything from them to prepare our Thanksgiving meal. We are already looking forward to our next stay.

This lovely house is on a quite street in an older Houston neighborhood. It is the perfect spot to stay if you are interested in downtown, the museum district, or even the medical district. Though off the beaten path, it is within two blocks of major streets that take you anywhere. And for only a fraction of what you would pay for a hotel room in the area. (I checked.) Beautifully and comfortably furnished. We met family to attend a memorial service at a downtown church and could not have been happier with this accommodation.

We loved Deborah and Anton's place. The location is perfect is you like to wander around and explore on foot, lots of cute shops and restaurants near by. Easy to drive to all the major attractions and shopping/restaurant districts. Highly recommend booking this home if you're looking for a place that has it all.

Deborah is an excellent host. Unlike many companies renting out apartments these days, this really felt like Deborah welcoming us to her home. The space was clean and spacious and is in an excellent location for exploring Houston. We really appreciated Deborah’s notes in the guide book about where to eat and drink in the neighborhood. Communication was great. We would happily stay again next time we are in Houston!

We had tickets to 2 Astros games. This rental was very close to several nice restaurants within walking distance. We Ubered to Minute Maid Park. The cost was about $12.50 each way, so cheaper than trying to park and you get dropped off right at the gate. It was a few blocks walk to the Uber pick up point, but not too far. Overall we loved the visit and would stay at this location again.

We love this beautiful home!!! Deborah and Anton put so much thought, love and consideration as they decorated the house. Even left us some nice surprises for our arrival which we thoroughly enjoyed! We loved how close the museums were to the house and so many wonderful places to eat. Thx for the Scrabble game! We’d forgotten how much fun that it!! We definitely plan on staying here again!!

Anton and Deborah made our stay and situation better in all ways! My husband had surgery and a extended hospital stay and we had a revolving door of different family members come in and out. Anton and Deborah were incredibly kind and caring. They made us feel secure coming in and out of the home and well taken care of.
After hospital discharge, the Van Buren place was perfect for quiet rest, recharge and sleep. The back porch was just what the doctor ordered! Deborah and Anton are angels!
We thank you over and over.

This was a girlfriends trip. Two old gals off for a genealogy trip. This beautiful and very comfortable house is convenient to the museums & the Clayton Library for genealogy. It’s well stocked with anything you’d need and Deborah, the owner, was a delight. Very welcoming and gracious.
This will be my first choice for any trip to Houston in the future. In fact, if it were booked, I’d try to adjust my plans to a time when it was available.

We used to live in Houston and came back for a week to visit family and friends. The place was great and reflective of the reviews and pics. As a former Houstonian the location is great! Very close to the things we love about the city, including the museum district, Rice university, downtown, and the major parks. Overall a great time and a great place to call home while visiting. Thank you! We will be back!

This was our second time staying here, and it was the perfect place for a family Christmas. The kitchen worked well to prepare our holiday dinner, while the home is in a great location to enjoy many excellent restaurant options. Deborah and Anton are wonderful hosts, providing everything from wine to snacks to extra blankets for the unusually cold weather. We will definitely be back!

Very lovely property, with wonderful owners conveniently in the duplex apartment upstairs. Terrific two bedroom apartment with two en suite baths. Beautifully updated kitchen with all the modern conveniences. Great private outdoor patio with koi pond and grill. Also, large laundry room with new big washer and dryer.
Not really a big deal, but the larger bedroom with sitting room has a tv, while the smaller bedroom does not.
My only complaint is the incredibly low and uncomfortable sofa in living room, where we spent most of our time. Very difficult to get on and off of sofa and cushions are well worn from years of others sitting there. We have stayed there two years in a row and loved it, apart from the sofa, but may not stay there next year, unless sofa is replaced.

Beautiful apartment on a quiet, tree-lined residential street in the best part of Montrose. Easy parking in front. The unit is exceptionally clean and quite spacious. It's even prettier than the pictures. There's a lovely garden patio oasis - a real treat in Houston- with a grill and koi pond which made for a fun night grilling with our daughter and son-in-law. Deborah and Anton are perfect hosts and have thought of everything. Fresh flowers, bottled water, snacks, and a chilled bottle of wine were very appreciated after a long day of travel. We'll definitely return when visiting Houston. Highly recommend!
