About this apartment rental
Mustang Bungalow 4MI is a fairly spacious one bedroom one bath condo. The bedroom has a queen size bed and the living room has a new 32" flat screen TV and full size futon sofa. The total sleeping capacity is 4 people. There is a full kitchen equipped with everything you will need to cook your catch after a long day of fishing. The grounds are nicely manicured, complete with mature citrus trees. There are fish cleaning facilities on the property. The beach is approximately 2 blocks away but close enough to feel the gulf breezes. PETS NO LONGER ALLOWED AFTER NOVEMBER 8, 2023!!!

Although we were texted a door code ahead of time for check in, when we arrived there was nothing to enter a door code for. After calling the management company, they initially did not know why that would be, but it turns out it never had a door code in the first place and required keys (something they should have known since there had been literally staying there before we arrived). When we entered the property, the overall condition of it was not the same as the photos included on the website (tons of rust/water damage, not as much natural lighting). The shades in the bedroom were broken so they could not be opened. The vent in the bathroom didn’t work. And worst of all, there was BLACK MOLD on both of the vents! Would not recommend.

It appears that the photos included on Vrbo/Expedia are fairly old, as most of the wear and tear visible when walking in the condo is not pictured in the advertised booking sites. For example, significant rusting and water damage was noticed. There was not as much natural sunlight that reaches the inside of the apartment as we were led to believe, and most lighting provided yellowish light compared to the bright lights seen in the photos. The blinds in the bedroom were broken so you could not turn them open. Fan in the bathroom did not work. Most concerning was the presence of BLACK MOLD on both sets of vents in the living room and bedroom. I would also refrain from saying this would comfortably sleep 4, unless you want to use the living area for 2 of your guests and have no privacy. Rental agency also gave incorrect check in information (was told there were be a door code to enter, but nothing was there to punch in a code). We needed to call and have someone drive over with the keys. At least we were walking distance from the beach.

The property was easy to locate. It was very clean, neat, and cozy. Just good enough for the three of us. It was within walking distance of the beach. I will most definitely come back and spread the word to family and friends. Thank you for the experience. :)

This property was the only one available for this weekend that didn't have a pet size limit and we have large dogs. It was in a good location and its configuration made it easy to access the property. The front yard made it convenient to walk the dogs.The property description saying it was recently updated felt misleading because only the bedroom was, the rest of the property wasn't. Old would have been okay though if it were clean. The place was dusty and the air filter looked like it hasn't been replaced in years. The tub was grimy and I had to scrub it before giving my little boy a bath.

Overall was a good place to stay. The condo did need some minor repairs but was in good condition. I would like to see the old key lock replaced with a modern programmable lock that could be changed for every guest. It was an issue keeping up with a key while at the beach.

The condo was as advertised the only complaint we have is the mattress on the futon was thin and lumpy and uncomfortable the mattress in the bedroom was absolutely wonderful the rental company was extremely helpful when we had a little problem with forgetting my billfold in Minnesota but otherwise we will be back

The property was very clean. It felt a little small but we live in a house but it was perfectly fine for me, 2 kids and a dog. The kitchen came with pots/pans, plates, utensils, coffee pot and ice. There’s even a pit on the property. We had a good time.

Had a small minor maintenance issue, and when we called the maintenance guy was there in 5 minutes. The bungalow was really clean well taken care of, and the AC worked awesome in the middle of a heatwave.

Had a great time with the family. Upon arrival the unit was clean and the property seemed well kept. Parking was great as well, there were plenty of spaces available. There was enough dishes and lines for our stay.

A bit of paint and cleaner furniture would really make the place more inviting. The sheets were like paper and the bed was very uncomfortable. There was a stained old chair in the corner next to the old futon that I was weary of touching but I can be appreciative of the sitting options. The toilet wouldn’t flush unless you held down the nozzle.
Also there was a smell of musty cigarettes. Unless that’s just the after smell of other families in the ocean, which could be proven by the sandy front room floor.
I liked how close it was to the beach and to the main part of the city. The neighbors seemed nice. Because the bed had a bad smell to it and the pillowcases had stains on it, I was able to remove the bedding and replace it by the extras in the closet which seemed to have been dry cleaned and wrapped in plastic so I was thankful for that. There was also a stocked kitchen to cook some meals and from what I saw it was all mostly clean.
Overall, I wish I would have chosen to stay in the hotels a couple more minutes away with free breakfast, comfortable beds, a clean environment and daily house keeping which would only have been a little bit more in cost. I stayed in a hotel about 3 min away the first night because I got in a little bit early and I paid just about the same per night as I did there and I was much more comfortable and happy there. I read that the building survived hurricane Harvey, so what it’s worth, I’m glad it’s still standing.

The property was fine, staff were very friendly and professional. However, this property REAKED of the smell of cigarette smoke. I am not just talking about maybe the people that stayed before smoked - I am talking about it was like in the walls, and in the carpet itself. It smelled like someone had been smoking inside for decades. It was soo overpowering that it was the first thing you notice when you walk in, the last thing you think about before you sleep, and the first thing you think of when you wake up. It was absolutely disgusting and my husband and child were unable to just relax comfortably. I called to complain and the staff said they would call me back, and never did. The issue was not resolved. Will not be staying at this property again, and would advise against renting it.

The futon was very hard when sitting I’m not sure how comfortable it would be to sleep on. The room does have quite a bit of wear and tear on the doors throughout and the room had a very musty wet smell we bought air freshener but it didn’t help too much. Other than than location was great and perfect size for a couple.

We have stayed in plenty of places in port A; honestly, this little place was great for my husband, 2 kids (5&11) 2 english/French mastiffs, a English bulldog and myself.

1 bedroom. Condo small but nice. Internet not so good. No dishwasher. Location is good. Has it’s own grilling area and fish house. No pool. Linens and towels for a couple of days use. Had dish soap, hot pads, dish rag and dish towel, 2 rolls of paper towels and toilet paper, dishes, pots and pans, even had a stock pot. Not like a hotel where you are restocked with linens and towels. Especially important to us is it is pet friendly. They provided the bags to cleanup after pets. TV in living room and bedroom. Bedroom was not roomier than I thought it would be. Met some nice people. Not too far from the beach but it is best to drive.
