About this house rental
Come enjoy this beautiful 4,500 sq ft lakefront retreat with stunning views on the main channel of the Lake of the Ozarks. This tastefully decorated home with private dock was completed in December 2010. Appropriately named Eagles Rest for the majestic bald eagles that nest nearby and delight those in their path. We are located on south side of lake at 49.3 MM by water, and off Lake Road 7-13 (Bollinger Creek Rd) by land. There is plenty of room for everyone with 5 bedrooms, 4 baths, 2 large kitchens/bar, 2 living areas plus a recreation area. From the spacious decks, walk down concrete steps to your private oversize dock! Lots of fun is waiting here, complete with a huge swim platform, diving board, jump platform and 1 guest slip (10' x 24'). There are 3 popular restaurant/bars nearby on the water and many coves to put down an anchor. There is a fantastic rock formation where you may be fortunate enough to see a bald eagle perched.
Your vacation paradise is perfectly set up to sleep 14 in beds. There is a main level master suite fit for a king complete with king bed, master bath with jetted tub and sitting room on the lakeside; 2 bedrooms on the main level roadside that share a spacious bathroom (1 King, 1 Queen); 1 King size lower level bedroom on the lakeside with a large bath immediately next to it; and a 5th bedroom lower level - a children's dormitory room that sleeps 6 children with 2 full size bunk beds, each with a twin bed on top. This combo room has its own full bath. All beds have very comfortable mattresses, nice sheets and pillows. We have recently added an elevator to our home to cut down on the many steps to the dock. The only steps left are from the bottom of the house to the dock.
When you feel like staying in, there is plenty to do with a regulation size pool table, lower-level bar/kitchen with pub table to seat 8, board games, foosball table, stereo, projection TV on the lower level, Blu Ray, and a flat panel TV in the upper living room. All kitchens and adult baths have granite stone tops and beautiful cabinetry. Cook as much as you like in the fully equipped kitchen that seats 8 plus dining room for 8 more on main level or go enjoy one of the many nearby restaurants on the water right from the dock, with your boat. A few other conveniences include 2 car garage, washer/dryer, additional full-size refrigerators on the lower level and dock, and a regular and over-sized gas grill. We also have a great fire pit area near the lowest level deck to enjoy family campfires with a great view of lake. There are outside speakers and stereo equipment with an iPod connector on the dock. Wi-Fi access, Netflix and YouTubeTV is an added perk.
One of the best amenities of this home is the privacy and view. Turn up your favorite music and take in the spectacular view from the spacious decks and dock, as there are no immediate neighbors - just your gang, nature, and the lake! Keep it all for your own family or share it with other family/friends at a fraction of the cost of hotel rooms for a big group. Don't miss this great opportunity to enjoy your vacation at our private dream home, Eagles Rest retreat!

What a well appointed propery. Everything we needed was provided. The home is clean and spaciois for a large family. So appreciate the elevator, as well!! Quiet peacedul, and remote. Very helpful to have large dock, swimming plarform, furniture, and a refrigerator. Our only issue was management of the small allotment of garbage for large families. Otherwise perfect memory!

Beautiful views, great swimming from the very large boat dock/deck. The kids wanted to stay down there all day. The lake was not crowded and a couple places by boat to eat only minutes away by boat. Loved the elevator.

This was our second year staying at Eagles Rest. We had extended family from all over the country, and it was a really great experience. The house is big enough to hold everybody and offer plenty of space. We spent most of our time on the oversized dock swimming and fishing. Can't wait to go back!

Great family vacation…fantastic home and dock on the lake

We throughly enjoyed our stay, awesome home with great amenities with beautiful lake view and an awesome dock. Everyone caught fish right off the dock and we all enjoyed the diving board and high dive platform. The refrigerator on the dock made it so easy to have cold refreshments at hand. We were able to put our boat in the slip and tied our two jet skis off the end of the dock. Plenty off ladders to use to get back up on the dock. Throughly enjoy swimming in the lake. We held several foosball tournaments in the game room and loved the two kitchens. The large projection screen was great for games and movies. Thanks so much for everything. We would highly recommend this place for anyone with a large family to rent this house for your stay in the Lake of the Ozarks!

13 of us stayed here for a week for a 3 generation family gathering. There was plenty of room for the kids, teens, and adults (most of which are well over 6 feet tall) to spread out and enjoy various activities. The second kitchen was very helpful. The home is larger and nicer than the pictures show. The location is perfect. Very secluded compared to most and the cove was great for kayaking, paddle boarding, and fishing. The dock is huge! It's mostly covered and has a full sized fridge. There was more than enough seating for all of us to play games and relax and the speaker system worked great. The jumping platform and diving board were huge hits. We spent most of our time on the water boating, swimming, or just enjoying the breeze from the lake on the hottest week of the summer. The air conditioning worked great with 100+ degree temperatures every day. The elevator was a huge help with those of us with bad knees. The owners were really helpful and do a great job of ensuring your stay is enjoyable. We all agreed that we would gladly come back. You don't need to plan many activities away from the house as there is so much to keep everyone entertained here. Definitely rent a boat if you don't have one as that was the easiest way to get to restaurants and there are plenty within a short boat ride.

This was our first time staying at Eagle’s Rest and we were impressed. First, the name is accurate! We enjoyed watching 3 bald eagles during our stay. They were present every day, for larger parts of the day. Everyone enjoyed watching them.
The house is amazing and large enough to be a vacation spot for large families like ours. We were able to bring our adult children and their families together (11 adults, 3 children and a baby). The house easily accommodated everyone. We’ve rented several houses at LOZ and this one was the best for our big gathering by far!
The dock is great also! Plenty of room for fishing, swimming and just hanging out. We caught lots of fish off the dock and enjoyed hours of swimming. Our pontoon fit in the slip provided and we found the location on the lake to be perfect for what we did (tubing, fishing and cruising around). The 49mm is far enough up lake that the big boats are rare, but close enough to restaurants to make a short trip.
Highly recommended by everyone in our family. We’d be lucky to reserve the lake house again!

Amazing property and view!
First time to Lake of the Ozarks with our extended family of 10 (4 couples, one infant, 2 teens and 1 young adult). The house accommodated us perfectly! Plenty of space to spread out, relax, and be very comfortable. We used the two kitchens (plenty of cookware if you plan on cooking), the dock refrigerator, kayaks, pool table, elevator, deck.. really, everything. The main kitchen has a spacious pantry (very helpful with three families who all brought food!) and table for 8, (plus two seats at the bar). The bedrooms are all spacious, with roomy closets, hangers, etc (no need to bring your own). The view was beautiful and it was very peaceful. We started our days with coffee on the deck and ended there as well to watch the sunset. The dock is very spacious with an area to relax in shade and look out to the beautiful fishing cove. We brought tubes to float in and also used the owner's kayaks and raft. There are many supplies available which we used - some wasp spray (no issues, just some outside so we sprayed), washing machine pods to clean our towels, tons of coozies in case you forget yours, and the first aid kit also came in handy.
Overall, a fabulous week away and we hope to stay here again!

Fantastic lake house
The pictures from the listing don't do it justice - this place was amazing. The owners were very responsive when there was an issue with the dishwasher and took care of it promptly.
We enjoyed every aspect of our stay, especially the large dock and it's associated amenities.
We would absolutely stay here again.

2 thumbs up
The house was great for our party of 17. We were able to spread out between the 5 bedrooms, 2 kitchens, deck and huge dock. The main kitchen was stocked with plates/bowls, utensils, mugs, food storage, etc. Each bedroom had at least 1 dresser and closet to unpack our clothes. Kayaks were a bonus and really great to use to explore the nearby coves. Owners responded quickly and were very helpful. We would stay there again.

We were very happy with our stay at Eagles Rest. The elevator in the house made it so much easier going back and forth to the dock where we spent a lot of time. The house was awesome and spacious for our family. Seeing the Eagles throughout our stay was so cool. The only drawback was there could have been TVs in the bedrooms. Thanks for the hospitality!

As the youngest of 4 siblings, I am usually the family trip planner due to always taking to consideration the needs and wants of everyone attending. I do extensive research before making a decision that I know everybody will agree on. They trust me on that. This year the goal was to visit a place where everyone could relax, lounge, disconnect without having to deal with the outside world. Eagle’s Rest gave us that and so much more. My family was the first to arrive and I cell phoned the others and said to try and get there before dark because the winding hilly roads within trees could be challenging but adventurous. That in itself made for great conversation. Once everyone arrived picking out the room each would be in was fun game we played. The elevator was just WOW, perfect for checking in and checking out! The spaciousness was accommodating for all of us to keep from being on top of one another. The dock lived up to advertisement as we spent a lot of time on it. We rarely left the home only to get a few things to cook or more beverages. The term Eagle’s Rest is just that! Driving in a huge American Bald Eagle arose from the grass on the side road catching everybody off guard. And then the trees above the driveway had a group of Eagles that were always there. Made for awesome pictures. A family of different sized deer always greeted one of us every morning, what a treat that was. All the amenities came in handy, especially having 2 sets of washers and dryers. If there was anything that could have been better would have been the stereo on the dock and in the game room were out dated, but it was cool having the teenagers try and figure them out. Regardless we brought Bluetooth speakers anyways so no real issue there. Cooking on the gas grill was a first but I had some wood chip tricks to help with the smoky flavor. All in all, we got the experience we were hoping for. Needless to say, family vacation duties are still trusted to rest on my shoulders.
Thanks Mike & Ruth for the wonderful stay in your home!!

We enjoyed a relaxing week overlooking the beautiful Lake of the Ozarks! First timers in this area and we loved it. Lots of driving around to get to places but we didn’t mind. We made sure to get back before dark as the roads are winding. Rented a boat for a warm but windy day on the lake. It is the beginning of off season so no crowds! We made a day trip to Springfield one day to go to Johnny Morris’ World of Wildlife and Aquarium at the Bass Pro Shop there. WONDERFUL place! A must see destination!! All in all, we enjoyed our time at Eagles Rest!

Always clean and ready for relaxation!
This is our group's tenth year visiting the home and each stay we have no worries it will be spotless when we arrive and will always have so many options for activities or lounging.
Dock with sound system, diving board and platform and a refrigerator on it to avoid having to bring coolers or walk.back up the stairs for refills. A large deck (large enough to play bags on) with ample seating and has an amazing view! A rec room with a wet bar and fridge and plenty of games, a pool table and fooseball table and projector television. Five great bedrooms and four bathrooms that are always clean amd stocked when we arrive. And I haven't even mentioned the great kitchen, living room and ELEVATOR!
We got very lucky finding this hoise on our first, of many, group trips right after it was built and ready for renting. And will continue to come here every year we do the Lake of the Ozark trips! Bravo on an amazing home!

A great Covid getaway
House was excellent. A great private location, clean and updated inside. The dock was huge with all the amenities, we spent the whole week down on the water. Our only complaint was that the the outside could use some maintenance, everything covered with webs and bugs including the windows, some boards on the deck rotting, deck cushions in bad shape. Owners were very responsive, elevator and a few rotted boards were fixed while we were there.

The pictures don’t do it justice, the views are simply amazing!!!!! Everything was great, simple booking process, house was in excellent condition, and we absolutely enjoyed our trip!

Pandemic? Zero-exposure family escape!
The home was beautiful, clean and well-kept with all the amenities a group could need. We struggled to decide if we should cancel out of caution, but decided to move forward with family from Michigan, Oklahoma and Texas (10 total, ages 14 and up). We only left the property / lake to stop by a dockside marina for gas. There was no need. Water sports and relaxing in the sun each day, board games and pool plus a movie each night. Our own private slice of paradise to reconnect - it was wonderful. Next time we'll make sure Grandma and Grandpa come!!

This place was really well and easy to locate. It is with in driving distance of everything. And also away from the busy places. Good central location of a lot of things to do if you don’t mind driving a short distance to things.

Awesome property
I'd like to thank Mike and Ruth for the accommodations last week. Our time spent at your home was fantastic, we couldn't have asked for a better place. Thank goodness for the elevator, it got a lot of use... otherwise it would be a lot of stairs up and down from the dock.
Communication with the homeowner was exceptional and we will definitely book this property again.

Hot Summer Stay in the Ozarks
Another great week at the Eagle's Rest Resort. Everything was perfect except for the bloated raccoon that floated by the dock one afternoon. :) Mike and Ruth are fantastic owners that will address any issues during your stay. Highly recommend this home for larger groups.

Fantastic property
This was a beautiful property and exceeded all our expectations. There 13 of us and we had plenty of room to spread out. The dock was one of the nicest we have used. Dock furniture was perfect for our group. The house had a wonderful layout as well. It had everything we needed. Bonus was we got to see the eagles.
We hope to come back next year!

Secluded Getaway
This house is very nice with some amazing features; the dock being the best of them! This home is very spacious and gave our group of 12 plenty of room to spread out while staying together. There were a couple minor maintenance issues, but the potentially major issue was addressed immediately when we contacted the owner. The bedrooms were nicely furnished w/comfortable beds and the kitchen was well stocked w/dishes, cookware and appliances (and the washer/dryer is top of the line). We spent a lot of our time down on the dock - swimming, floating, fishing - and were happy to have the refrigerator, stereo, tables, chairs and shade! We were happy that we chose this property, but I would suggest to the owner better cleaning of the big, beautiful windows providing the stunning lake views, and some type of shade to make sitting on the huge deck a more viable option. Thank you for a fabulous family retreat!

Beautiful and Clean and Relaxing
The home was perfect. There was hand soap in all the bathrooms and the home was super clean. The views are to die for. We roasted marshmallow every night in the fire pit.
Games galore for the kids.
I can’t wait to go back!
