Welcome to Triton's Castle, a two story Mission Beach condo! Located on the 2nd and 3rd floor, you really get quite the view! Spend your summer nights watching our famous San Diego sunsets, Belmont park and Sail Bay right from the patio and balcony!
At 1,250 Sq Ft., this four bedroom, two bath unit is the perfect location for a family vacation. Just a short walk from the rides and fun always going on at Belmont Park, the waves on Mission Beach, and the serenity of Mission Bay! It takes up the 2nd and 3rd floor in a two unit condo.
The living room has a 65-inch smart TV, guests who have Hulu or Netflix are able to stream their own content on the TV. Additionally, the living room is off one of two private, breathtaking decks with spectacular views of Belmont Park along with a gas grill. You’ll also find surfboards, boogie boards, beach chairs and toys!
The kitchen is fully stocked with dishes, cutlery, glasses, pots, pans, appliances and everything you would need to cook a family meal on vacation! The unit is also equipped with a washer and dryer, located on the top floor, and 2 carport parking spaces!
There are four bedrooms, two located on the main level just off the kitchen area; one with a full and one with a queen. The two bedrooms upstairs each have a queen and the master has an extra twin bed, perfect for parents and kids to stay together. The downstairs bedroom has a folding single bed. This unit is supplied with fresh linens and towels so you don't have to bring them with you!
Want to bring friends or some extra family members? Triton's Castle is the upper level unit with Mermaid's Cove below and can be rented together as a 7 bedroom.
This home comes with two carport parking spaces. Please note that the Mission Beach alleyways can be tight. We can fit a Chevy Tahoe in the middle parking space. Parking Dimensions: Left side (smallest space) L 190 x W 90 x H 112. Middle (our regular size suburban fits) L 200 x W 125 x H 112.
Mission Beach is a laid-back neighborhood whose 2 miles of sandy shores attract surfers, sunbathers and volleyball players. Locals and visitors alike enjoy the paved walking and biking paths that curl around Mission Bay, a popular spot for water sports and family beach days. Casual cafes and eateries line Mission Boulevard, the single road that runs between the Pacific Ocean and Mission Bay. Nearby Belmont Park has tons of dining and entertainment options for all ages in addition to the world-famous Mission Beach boardwalk and Giant Dipper Roller Coaster! Therefore, we respectfully request Primary Renter and Guests display behavior that is becoming of a typical neighborhood environment. Home owners across San Diego are banning together to eliminate the rentals of private homes as vacation homes. Please help us preserve our right to rent by being respectful neighbors.
NOISE/NO PARTIES: Quiet hours are strictly enforced, 10 pm – 8 am per city ordinance. This property has ZERO TOLERANCE for noise, parties or loud music which includes any excessive daytime noise, cursing, yelling or screaming. Fines will be applied for complaints. Drinking games of any kind ie: beer die, pong, funnels etc. and music that is audible past the property line are strictly prohibited. Immediate eviction can result if these rules are broken.
San Diego Municipal Code 59.5.0502 states that at all times; any amplified sound that can be heard 50 feet away from the rented residence is prohibited. Between 10 PM and 8 AM, even normal conversation must be moved inside the rented residence. Per SDMC 51.1004 and California Penal Code 415.2 noise violations can result in fines (Up to $1,000) for property owners and Renters if there are repeated calls for noise violations to one address. Renters will be liable for any and ALL noise violation fines charged to the property owner. Excessive Noise disruptions can result in immediate eviction without the right to a refund of rental fees or security deposits.
Drugs/ Alcohol: Use of illegal/illicit drugs by any Renter, Guest, Occupant or Visitor in or on the grounds is strictly prohibited. Consumption of alcoholic beverages by a minor under 21 years of age is strictly prohibited.
No Smoking of ANY kind: This is a non-smoking property, both in and on the property. A fee of $1,000.00 will be charged for violation of this rule, plus any costs incurred to remove smoke odor or damage. Smoking includes but is not limited to: cigarette, cigar, marajuana, cocaine, incense, or vaping. While Marajuana is legal in the state of California it is NOT allowed on this property.
Properties are subject to exterior patrol by our staff and homeowner. If Renters are causing a nuisance, having a party, acting detrimentally toward the property, breaking the noise curfew or any stated rules and regulations we reserve the right to terminate the rental agreement, without refund, and immediately remove Renters and guests from the property. Absolutely no disturbances are allowed within this home or anywhere on the property premises. We also reserve the right to refuse occupancy if a house party is suspected.
Our neighbors are very, very sensitive to vacation rentals as it affects their right to live in a peaceful environment therefore we will enforce these policies in exchange for the privilege of renting this home as a vacation rental. The City of San Diego has adopted stricter guidelines for vacation properties and bad operators will not be allowed to rent their homes. If the actions of the Renter and their guests are detrimental to our right to rent as a vacation rental we reserve the right to evict and retain any rental fees and/or security deposits and will report abuse to the rental platforms and will take legal action against Renter if their behavior results in loss of permits.
Guest Occupancy:
Occupancy: The maximum occupancy for this Rental Agreement shall not exceed the number stated on the reservation. Only primary Renter and guests accounted for on the reservation are allowed to be on the property.
Age Restrictions: Primary Renter must be 25 years or older. Guests must be 25 years or older. Parents and children excluded.
No Subletting: If Renter can not keep the reservation please alert us as soon as possible so we can assist in re-renting the unit. If the unit is not re-rented and at the rate of the current reservation Renter will not be refunded their rental fees.
Damages: Renter will leave property in good order.
Damage Fee does not cover excessive cleaning; including but not limited to overflowing trash, carpet or upholstery steam cleaning, Linen Damage (Sheets, Blankets and Comforters damaged from, but not limited to, tearing, food, blood or other bodily fluids and will incur full replacement value charges) or damage due to pets, parties or excessive guests in the unit.
If excessive cleaning is needed, Renter will be charged $100/hour, or actual charges, whichever is greater.If area carpets are excessively dirty after check out Renter will be charged a $300 fee for carpet cleaning or full replacement value PLUS any loss in rental income at $500/night.
NO DAILY MAID SERVICE: Daily maid service is not included in the rental rate. The cleaning fee referenced above shall be applied to the cleaning service after check out. If daily maid service is desired it can be arranged for an additional daily fee.
Missing or damaged items will be charged at full replacement cost.
Kitchen: Cooking at high temperatures can result in strong smells that permeates throughout the home and into the fabrics of the home. Excessive odors can come from, but not limited to, popcorn, fish, certain spices etc. Please open windows, use kitchen fans, and be mindful that this is a shared living space. Should a strong odor be detected upon check out, an air purifying fee will be applied.
Check in / Check out:
Per the contract check in time is 4:00 PM and check out is at 10:00 AM. Check in and check out times are strictly enforced, please do not enter the property early without permission. Disruption to the contracted cleaning company’s allotted service time will incur a fee.
If available, early check-in/late check-out fee is $250.
Upon Vacating, Renters and guests will follow the provided Check-out Procedure.
Hurricane/ Storm Policy/ Pandemic: Mandatory evacuation by State or Federal Authorities will be sufficient cause for refund. Refunds will only be issued for the specific area and for the dates requiring mandatory evacuation. “Shelter in place” is not considered evacuation orders. Travel bans issued by the government will be cause for credit of funds towards future stay within 1 year of original stay date.
City Ordinance/State law: Renters shall not violate city or state ordinances or laws including noise restrictions, parking restrictions and occupancy restrictions.

The photos made this property look awesome,once we got there very disappointed what it actually looked like,living room was very small for 6 adults,the deck area was small and very dirty. The floors inside were very dirty as well as the shower areas. Several broken or damaged things,no handle on the microwave door, knobs on drawers,toilet paper holders,TV did not work until someone came and helped get it working,all in all someone needs to get it updated especially the photos of the property

The photos made this property look awesome,once we got there very disappointed what it actually looked like,living room was very small for 6 adults,the deck area was small and very dirty. The floors inside were very dirty as well as the shower areas. Several broken or damaged things,no handle on the microwave door, knobs on drawers,toilet paper holders,TV did not work until someone came and helped get it working,all in all someone needs to get it updated especially the photos of the property

Beds where very comfortable, kitchen well equipped, location Was great. Manager was very helpful.
Location wasn’t perfect to enjoy both the bay and the ocean. Close to entertainment and restaurant. The manager was very helpful with additional parking info and was quick to respond to all of our needs. We will book the property again.

I don't even know where to start! My family of four rented this house with another family of four and it was amazingly perfect! Beach houses tend to be small so I was really worried that we would be on top of each other but that was not the case at all. Two bedrooms downstairs and two bedrooms upstairs were perfect and we put the kids downstairs and the adults upstairs. The house is very clean and modern. I was worried about things being outdated and not being as they were in the pictures but I was even more impressed in person than by the photos. Everything is new and is very well kept up. We were surprised that the house also had a number of nice new beach towels and beach chairs already there for our use. There were also boogie boards and a paddle board. The beds are comfortable with super soft sheets. The BBQ is perfect and the deck is where we spent most of our time when we were not at the beach.
The location of this home is perfect! It is literally a two minute walk to Starbucks, Belmont Park and the beach. It was great to be able to let our kids walk over to these areas without the adults. There are also tons of restaurants nearby but we did not go to these as we made all of our meals at the house. Even for lunch we walked back home to make a sandwich...it's that close! The bay is also a one minute walk in the other direction - much slower pace but so gorgeous and calming.
I would recommend planning ahead and bringing your own foil, baggies, salt, pepper, cooking spray, etc. The house does not have any of that type of kitchen stuff but I had assumed that and brought mine from home anyway. There is a nice (large) grocery store a five minute drive away as well. The kitchen is fully stocked with cookware, utensils, etc.
Lastly, the property managers were a pleasure to deal with. They checked in with us upon our arrival to make sure everything was as expected and the next day as well to make sure we were doing well. They are easy to contact and they make sure you have all of their contact numbers in case you need anything - but everything was perfect and we didn't need a thing! We are already planning on going back next year and really wouldn't consider staying anywhere else.

Tritans castle along with mermaids cove was perfect. The houses have a great layout and amenities that work with our extended family-it's easy walking to bay or ocean, restaurants, And Belmont park. This is our third year renting Tritans castle and it has never disappointed.
Tritans castle along with mermaids cove was perfect. The houses have a great layout and amenities that work with our extended family-it's easy walking to bay or ocean, restaurants, And Belmont park.
