The condo is decent and pleasant but it is not super modern. Kitchen is well stocked. Bathrooms are clean and provide plenty of additional cleaning supplies. Location is good to reach attractions. Electric BBQ grill is good for poultry and fish. I liked the pool which is decent enough to take laps.

My husband and I loved our stay at Twisted Retreat. The master bedroom had a very comfortable bed and we loved the outside decks to sit and drink our morning coffee. The kitchen was very well stocked and had anything you needed to make a meal. We appreciated the selection of pots and pans. The condo was very close to downtown Kings Beach, which has good restaurants and anything you need. We were also glad to have the full size washer and dryer to wash all our clothes( detergent provided)before we left! We would definitely stay here again!

Communication was fast & keyless entry was working nicely. It had all kitchen & laundry stuff we needed, and the location was really good to go anywhere.
I agree with some review that it does not have a lot of natural light, but we were going out for fun during the day time, so it was okay for us.
My suggestion is little better cleaning (I saw the bedroom side table have some sticky stuff remaining), replacing some towels as they were getting old, and fixing sealing for the tub (when my kids were taking a bath in the tub, the seal was old and I saw some water coming through the middle part).
Overall it was a reasonable priced, well-maintained property. we had great family time and I would be happy to come back :)

We got home late yesterday and I would like to ask for a refund of one night which would be $302.33, including the $55 security fee. We experienced a rental #11 in Kingswood Village that was not up to normal standards.1. It smelled like fried & greasy food for 2 days. You said to open windows. Why should we have to be responsible for getting rid of the smell? It should have smelled clean and refreshing when we got there!2. The next morning we tried to open the front door and it was jammed in place. We called your office first thing and nobody got back to us until the afternoon because someone called in sick. We tried to find another way out but there was none! That might be a fire hazard for sure. I called 911 and they said they would have to break something so we declined. Finally after 45 minutes we got it opened. What a way to spend your first day in Tahoe.3. The TV didn't work in the second bedroom and we had to wait for Scott the handyman to fix it. None of us knew, even Scott, that it wasn't hooked up to cable and TV wasn't plugged in..4. Mouse poop under the kitchen sink. Gross!5. Heard varmints inside the walls at night. Couldn't sleep. Maybe that's why there is mouse poop under the kitchen sink.6. The outlet in the Master bedroom was loose and hot. It wouldn't hold a phone cord charger. Very dangerous.7. Master bedroom TV had water or some kind of liquid drops running down the screen.8. Master bedroom is very dark. Needs more light so you can find things.9. Upstairs bathroom had burned out lights.10.Upstairs carpet was dirty and stained, especially on the top of the staircase. Gross!11. The sofas were hard and uncomfortable but very cute looking.

The home is central to north tahoe activities and dining. Great place to unwind and relax after day out on the lake. Fully equipped kitchen, comfortable lounging in the living room and comfortable beds downstairs to rest and refresh.

Fun and comfortable stay
I found the description and the reviews of this property very accurate. Nothing fancy, however, everything we needed to be comfortable and have a great time. I brought three teenagers to Tahoe, and the setup was great for this, the girls slept up in the loft and I slept downstairs where it was pretty quiet. Bed was very comfortable, there were plenty of towels for everyone and in general this condo is extremely well stocked with everything we needed. Beach chairs, kitchen tools, even things like oil, salt and pepper, some basics that I often don't find in rentals. It was a very easy drive to the lake, and was fun to have the pool. Would stay here again.

Overall good
Overall the condo was nice, it was clean but parts were pretty out dated. The dishwasher soap dispenser was broken do it didn’t work correctly. It’s pretty dark and not very good ventilation. Location was mostly quiet other than neighbor doing some construction and a couple other condos who were pretty loud on their balconies late into the night.

Short stay
Good location - we only used the condo to eat dinner and sleep! Great kitchen that has everything you need to cook! Appreciated the wash/dryer machines too as we had been on the road for a while.
The only suggestion I will do for improvements would be to replace the towels and sheets with new ones - they were clean but used (some even had holes in them).

Nice unit
Nicely appointed and comfortable unit. It had everything we needed for our short stay. Pool was very nice and located across the road (easily walkable). Manager was very helpful when I had questions about trail access. Master bedroom was huge and the bed was comfy.

We stayed here for 3 nights - had never been to Lake Tahoe before. Pluses- North Tahoe Rentals is fantastic to rent from - very knowledgeable and courteous on phone, very complete paperwork, nice follow-up email a few days before rental begins to review important info and tell you about things to do in the area. Very nice!- Condo is the best stocked condo I have ever stayed in - very comfortable and clean- There was a king bed in the master, which was hard to find in Tahoe rentals- Great swimming pool in complex - big and clean - attendant there- Good location - about 2 miles from lake - quiet - yet easy to find off a main roadMinuses- It is dark - condos on either side so windows in front and back only- It was warm (August) - hard to get cooled off - no AC which was fine, but no cross ventilation even with ceiling fans going. Bedrooms are in basement and cooler. But upstairs is warm. The loft was too hot for sleeping. Fortunately we didnt need to use those beds. Overall I would recommend this place, but probably not in the summer because its hard to cool off. I would definitely rent again at Kings Beach!

I was incredibly disappointed that the condo is not as close to the beach as it appears to be on the map. You have to drive down to Kings Beach, especially if you are traveling with kids. I was specifically looking for a place where we could walk to the beach and I felt like the map here was misleading. Granted, I should have looked more closely at the details and Googled the development, but honestly, the map should be accurate...especially for people who search via map.The condo itself was OK. Its a pretty typical Tahoe cabin, pretty shabby. Clean, but with peeling paint. The pantry was pretty well stocked. The dining table is high with bar chairs, so it wouldnt work well for babies and toddlers. Bring your own soaps/shampoos, etc., including hand soap. There were lots of towels and beach stuff, which was appreciated. The pool was convenient and close by. The price, which ended up being higher than what it was listed at because of it being a holiday weekend, was too high, especially because of the location issue.
