Welcome to our home, built with two of almost everything. It makes hosting large groups a breeze – Huge open kitchen with 2 stoves, refrigerators and dishwashers, 2 living rooms, 1 game room and 1 media/theatre area. The perfect place for family/friend reunions, Golfers, or even corporate groups.
We are entering our eighth year of hosting guests at Corolla Paradise. We are so thankful for all the people who have stayed in Corolla Paradise over the years. Our goal has always been to help our guests have the perfect vacation. We have learned a lot throughout that time about doing just that. There are, of course, many different types of vacations. But if you are looking for a place to reunite with family and/or friends we believe this is the perfect spot.
Here are some highlights of what people have enjoyed over the years (Based on conversations with and reviews from our guests):
• The Kitchen/Great Room- OPEN FLOOR PLAN KITCHEN- The "everyone gathers in the kitchen" problem is solved!
You host a party. Your family and friends come over, and where do they go? That's right! The kitchen...and there never seems to be enough room! Well, we solved that problem for you while you are on vacation!
Cooking and cleanup crews are surrounded by family and friends while they work. The huge center island seats 9 people who can enjoy a beverage while visiting with the people in the kitchen. Many people love to Cook on these kinds of vacations. We set it up, so the Cooks are at the Center of all Conversation. (And there can be several Cooks at the same time).
• It is VERY private. Surrounded by trees. Other than your walk to the beach you could spend the week without laying eyes on anyone but your family/friends. Very few houses in the Outer Banks have this level of privacy.
• Most importantly, we clean the house ourselves. We are using hospital grade cleaning products, and we are thorough! The health and well-being of you and your family are the most important thing of all and being able to safely decompress while visiting with family and friends is part of that.
• 10 Bedrooms/ 10 Bathrooms, Each Bedroom has a Full Bathroom attached to it. There are 8 Jetted Tubs. It is truly the best of two worlds. You can have the privacy that a hotel room provides, but at the same time have the fun, camaraderie, and economic advantages that traveling with a large group can bring.
• Very LARGE Private 16 X 40 Heated Pool and Hot Tub.
• 3 Minute QUIET walk to the beach. “Quiet” is emphasized because most houses in the OBX that are not directly on the beach have at least one busy road to cross. Our walk is a neighborhood walk. “Safe” is another word that comes to mind here.
• The Beach- The BEACH is incredible- Beautiful sand, Great waves. Corolla Beaches are the widest beaches in the OBX. We have a full-time lifeguard on duty all Summer. The Lifeguard Stand is right there as you cross over the Dune. From the end of Corolla Paradise’s driveway to the walkway over the dune is a 3-minute stroll through the beautiful and quiet neighborhood. This area has no public parking, so you can enjoy the uncrowded Beach!
• Our neighborhood has its own Tennis Court.
• The Currituck Club Golf Course is a 4-minute drive. The Currituck Club is ranked in the top 10 in North Carolina Golf Courses.

I looked at many houses before I chose this one. The accommodations couldn’t have been more perfect for our family ages ranging from 2 - 81 years old. We have 11 grandchildren who were happily occupied most of the time with all the amenities this house provides. The neighborhood is quiet and there are no major roads to deal with on the walk to the beach. The hosts Mike and carol were attentive and helpful. I have no reservations in recommending this house to anyone who wants to enjoy a large group in one spot! Thanks for a great first time experience in OBX!

Corolla Paradise is an home for large groups. We especially appreciated the two refrigerators and dishwashers as well as the ample seating in the kitchen. Everyone was comfortable in this home, and the owners were responsive and kind. Our greatest challenge was heading to the beach with pregnant ladies and tiny children. There are many steps to access the beach, which makes the walk seem a bit longer. Luckily, there are a few extra wagons at the house, which certainly came in handy.

We had a great reunion gathering. Kitchen was a great place for 20 plus people to gather for meals and conversation/board games. Beach was great and less busy than some other access areas. The teens enjoyed the pool in the evenings. Hosts promptly answered all my questions and had house ready a little early, that helped with our arrival.

Mike and Carol were absolutely wonderful to work with, and made things super easy for our family on vacation.
It is so hard to find a house for our large family, but this beautiful house made our vacation so special. Bedrooms were the perfect size, and the large kitchen was an absolute DREAM!! Fully stocked, and had every item we needed for our cooking needs.
The pool, and hot tub were an added bonus, and we enjoyed them especially after a day on the beach (which the walk was super easy).
Kids highly enjoyed to game room, movie room. Which is always nice to have extra spaces for everyone to hang out in.
Thank you, Mike, and Carol, for helping us have such a memorable time. Would highly recommend to anyone! (Also, thank you for the tips on seeing the wild horses!!! Highlight of our trip!!)

It was a great trip, we were close to everything stores,restaurants, tours, the beach was a skip and a hop away . The house was accommodating for all of us, we needed ever bedroom and bathroom which was a joined to each room with a lot of females trying to get dressed, to be close to being on time for outings. We loved the second floor with the long dining table plus long island in the kitchen combo and the TV as well with couches was our favorite part of the house. The only thing we had issue with was the pool because the heater was not working properly but Mr. Mike and Ms. Carol was trying to get it fixed before we left and we appreciated their efforts. So we did enjoy the jacuzzi and the pool on the warm day. There is also a lot of stairs which by the last day we just saying that we got all our steps in,lol. My whole family would like to thank Mr. Mike and Mrs. Carol for making our family feel so safe and welcome to our first trip to the Outer Banks, NC and we definitely will back.

We booked this property to house 10 couples for an extended weekend and it was perfect. The house is huge, so there was plenty of room for everyone. Even when we were all in the kitchen at the same time, there still was plenty of room and we never felt cramped. The house was clean, neat, and organized. It came stocked with more than we could use. I couldn’t ask for better communication between myself and the owners. They were very kind and extremely helpful!
One and only mark was the pool could have been a tad cleaner. However, it was open for safe use before Memorial Day and as a pool owner myself, I cannot really complain there.
All in all, 10/10. I would highly recommend! If I ever have a large group of folks looking for a stay in the OBX, Corolla Paradise will be it!

My family and I booked this home to celebrate our grandmother but unfortunately due to medical reasons we were unable to stay. The hosts were extremely kind and showed concern regarding our situation which let’s be know we would have had no issues had we been able to stay. My review is based on my interactions with the hosts. Looking forward to when we can stay at this beautiful home.

We stayed here with a crew of our friends and their kids, and we all had a great time! The owners really care about their property and made sure we had a good experience. We basically lived in the pool and hot tub when we weren't at the beach, and the kitchen was perfect for spending time together. I can't recommend this house enough!

Our family had such a great stay here! Our ages ranged from a baby to in the 70s and we couldn't have had a more perfect stay. There was tons of room for our whole family and everything was clean and as advertised. The owner was very nice and communicative. The pool was the star of the vacation and we're so glad we had such a big and shaded pool to use. It's also so close to the beach and the grocery store! We would love to come back.

I got married on the beach in Corolla and my wedding party stayed in this beautiful home. It was perfect. We gathered all together in the spacious backyard, and upstairs in the dining area, everyone also had their own bathroom in each bedroom and privacy. It’s perfect for multiple families coming together.
The owners are phenomenal and were incredibly helpful, kind, and welcoming. I was so grateful for them. Anything that came up, they were there to help. Ocean Sands will always hold a special place in our hearts with wonderful memories!

We rented the Corolla Paradise house for our bi-annual family reunion: 22 of us from 3 - 75 years of age, and this place was a true gem! Mike and Carol were great hosts. Very communicative, responsive, and helpful.
The size of the house was great - there was plenty of space for everyone to either gather or go off on their own. The kitchen was AMAZING - having two of almost every appliance made cooking a breeze. We especially loved the ability to all be together on the top floor without anyone feeling crowded. The backyard pool was a great addition loved by all, and it was nice to be so close to the beach, but also feel secluded from everything else.

We rented this property for an extended family get away, celebrating our parents 50th wedding anniversary. The house was large enough for our large group, and close enough to the beach and all amenities. The owners were very responsive, and the check in and out process was easy. We were a large group comprised of 6 families. The house fit us all comfortably. The top floor / kitchen was a great space for us to all gather for meal time. The pool and hot tub were used daily! The short walk to the beach was great. Mike was very helpful and attentive. This house was an integral part of a vacation we will never forget. If we ever find ourselves back in the area, we would definitely return to this house.

Loved staying at this house, first trip to Corolla with 17 other family members for Spring Break and this home was a excellent selection. Plenty of room for the entire family and the heated pool was an added bonus for the kids. Beach only a short 3 minute walk . Property owners were always in touch to make sure that our stay was to our satisfaction. We will definitely be returning and possibly make it an yearly Spring Break Trip for the kids.

We had 17 ladies 40 and above stay here. 10 rooms and 10 bathrooms was so nice. The short walk to the beach was heavenly. The long dining table was awesome! The owners were really helpful when we didn’t have handsoap. If the very basics could be stocked- soap, toilet paper, paper towels, and a couple dish towels, it would have been perfect. Also a blanket in each closet would be helpful. We had a fantastic time.

We were looking for a place to house 22 people for a special Christmas surprise. Grandparents and all children and grandchildren in one house. This house was perfect. Each couple had their own room and bathroom and bunks for the littles. The upstairs kitchen was what sold us on the house and it didn't disappoint! It made for the perfect gathering place to just hang out, play games, do puzzles, visit. The kitchen was well stocked with pots and pans, dishes, and small appliances we weren't expecting. The double fridges, stoves/ovens, and dishwashers became essential cooking for that many people. The hot tub was divine, the pool table a place of great joy, and daily trips to the beach for some of the best conch shells we've ever seen. (Go right after a storm to get your fill). Any questions were quickly answered by the owner. Thank you for a place to make such a memorable Christmas.

Corolla Paradise was perfect for our family of 22!
The kitchen was amazing with 2 refrigerators, 2 stoves and 2 dish washers! Another feature we loved was each bedroom having its own bathroom! The rental was very clean and the owners quickly responded to any questions we had.
We enjoyed the home and area so much, that we plan on returning here next year!

Michael and Carol were great hosts and were quick to respond to any question or need. House was perfect for our large family which was comprised of several family units. Bedrooms each have their own bathroom and allowed for privacy, while the large kitchen and dining table allowed for plenty of together time. Location is convenient to shopping, dining, golf and many other activities(fall season for us). Short walk to public beach access. Highly recommend!

We really enjoyed the third floor. It was spacious enough for us all to gather. We were also very happy with the beach access and the surrounding activities available. We watched the horses, flew kites and fished on the beach. It was the ultimate beach experience for our mountain home family!

Our staff, their spouses, and a couple children rented this home for a week long working retreat. The common areas were perfect for our group and for family members not involved in the meetings. Having private bathrooms was the best feature for our large group that wasn't family. Excellent communication with the homeowner. We would stay here again.

We really enjoyed our stay here. The huge kitchen was amazingly. We made good use of it. It was great having 2 of everything. The only downside for us was the stairs. We had a few family members that had difficulty with everything being upstairs. For most of us it was no problem at all! Overall this was a great place to stay and we would consider it again if our group can handle the stairs.

The homeowners were very kind and helpful before, during, and after our stay. The house is fantastic.... Every room is nicely decorated and furnished. The kitchen is well stocked with cookware and plenty of dishes. The pool area is very relaxing and shady. The beach is so close and there are wgaons and toys and boogie boards already there to use. There are a lot of stairs, the main floor (kitchen, dining, living area) is up two flights of stairs and there are also a lot of stairs to enter and exit the beach area. Not a bad thing, but something to plan for. The neighborhood was very quiet and amenities are very close by. Shopping and restaurants are within walking distance. 10/10 stars!

Me and my family had a wonderful stay! The top floor was perfect for our group of 16 and the bedrooms fit the group perfectly. We spent most the time by the pool or on the beach but we have perfect weather. The kitchen was the gathering spot and it was so nice that we could all spend time together in one area.

We had a group of about 20 friends and family in early Sept. The house was huge and perfect for that size. We felt like there was plenty of space to feel spread out, but still spend time together. It's a close walk to the beach as well. Carol and Mike were extremely friendly and responsive. The backyard felt very private with the trees, and you could still hear the ocean from the back deck.

Having never been to OBX and no computer maven or experienced VRBOist, how did I manage to do so well as this? A spacious kitchen/dining had room for all 18 of us, we loved the pool, our host dropped in to fix a toilet, he checked in with me almost daily, parking for 8 cars (!). We'd do it again.

The home was awesome !!! Our group enjoyed the space both indoors and outdoors . The host were very welcoming and kind , there was no detail missed , and it was in a great location only minutes from the stores.

This house was perfect for a family vacation of 20 people. It had a great entertaining and kitchen space but also some small areas that were more intimate to escape the big group if you needed some quiet time!
Having the pool was also great for the whole family to enjoy after the beach!

Great house!
The house was something special. We had a large group, ages ranging 3-70. Besides going to the beach and swimming in the pool, which never got old; we gathered on the 3rd floor together often. The kids hooked up a switch to the theater room and played Just Dance, there were occasional chess matches on the second floor, and we enjoyed playing pool and shuffle board.
More than anything Mike and Carol were so helpful to our stay. No one was local to the area and they helped navigate our stay months in advance. They are the best owners. Everyone in my family enjoyed the stay and the Outer Banks is a fantastic location. The beach etiquette was amazing!

Fabulous property for large groups!
We just got back from our first ever trip to the OBX and could not be happier with everything. Mike and Carol are fantastic hosts - from when we booked in April of 2021 until our actual vacation from July 10 - 17, 2022 they went above and beyond my expectations. The house is just as described - there were 18 of us from age 14 - 73, our entire family, and no matter what we wanted to do there was a place. The kitchen has all the essentials and more, the bedrooms are spacious enough and are tastefully decorated. The pool was our place to gather before dinner and after time at the beach, and the hot tub was an extra little perk. I would highly recommend this property for large groups who want to spend time together, but still have space for smaller groups to sit and talk, play games, or whatever they enjoy. Did I mention the house is only a 3 -4 minute walk to the beach and that Mike and Carol are the best!

Amazing property
Mike and Carol are amazing hosts and the property exceeds expectations! We were fortunate and had great weather our entire stay. There were 19 of us. The house provided space for all of us while providing the perfect space to spend time together.

Family Reunion
This was such a great place to stay! We had a “cousin’s” reunion here and everyone had a blast. Mike and Carol were very quick to answer any questions we had. The pool was great and the convenience of having the beach just a few minutes away was amazing!

Nice home and stay
This is a nice home for very large groups of people as it’s huge! We were a smallish group - 9 but this is really made for entertaining much larger numbers.
It’s very close to the beach and the Harris Teater, which is very nice.
Mike and Carol are lovely people and went above and beyond to make us feel at home and comfortable.
