It was our second year in this house and we loved it! Super spacious for five people — two couples and a teen, plus a pup. Loved the vintage vibe, well-stocked kitchen, and the location looking out on the dunes and ocean and close to town. Will definitely stay here again and again!

It was so nice to stay in this warm, welcoming home again! The home is just right for our family of 5, including 3 teens, along with our dog, to have a few days at the beach, puzzle and play games together. Thanks for hosting!

We had a great time. House is well located on the beach and an easy walk to shops and restaurants. House was clean and comfortable. Very well appointed, lots of kitchen utensils, etc. Would definitely stay there again and would recommend.

This is my third stay at this property. The location is ideal—it’s ocean front and just a block away from Main Street and all the shops and restaurants. It’s very comfortable and the kitchen is well stocked.

Overall - EASIEST Access to the beach and main street of Manzanita. There isn't a better location. Quiet yet right there! Walking over the sand dune can be hard if mobility is challenging (i.e. grandparent).
Sleeping is not accurately described. Posting states beds for 8, but there were only 6. If we had 8, we would have to have had 2 sleep on a couch a long cushion in the living room.
Kitchen appliances are mostly new and functioned well. BBQ was disgusting from prior guests and we had to clean a lot to use. It needs serious cleaning. The pans are horrible - several badly burnt or scratched. Dinning chairs are all loose - we tried to tighten and improve, but nothing helped.
Washer and Dryer are in the detached garage with keyed entry. Lots of linens and towels - All different colors but all decent to great quality. Beach toys are well loved - suggest you bring your own.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this comfortable home - the location is perfect for parking the car and walking the beach and everywhere in Manzanita. The ocean views from the living room and deck are amazing. The house is well stocked, clean and accurately described and pictured. Like visiting the home of an old friend - delightful.

This is the 7th year in a row we have rented this home for my wife's birthday. The house is right on the beach and one block off of the main street. What more could you ask for.

My family and I absolutely love this house and location and keep coming back!

Our visit could not have been nicer. The home is charming, so pleasant and comfortable and we wanted for nothing as the house is well-supplied. In addition to the spectacular setting and immediate access to the beach, there are plenty of ways to pass the time indoors while still watching the waves and the constantly changing weather.
The town is "just enough" for a morning stroll with shops to poke around.
We loved every minute.

We LOVE this house and Manzanita speaks for itself! The sun even made a cameo and I found a perfect sand dollar! Thank you!!

Our family really enjoyed the location, space, and coziness of this place. My elderly mother has mobility issues due to a hip injury so we appreciated the single story layout and extensive seating options in the living room. The whole family enjoyed the board games and quick access to the beach. This house is clearly the owner’s family beach getaway, which makes it feel welcoming. Short walks to town are a plus too!

Location location terrific. Wonderful cozy home with a huge living room space for Conversation puzzles etc.
Easy access to the beach for walking or people watching. The full moon over the water was amazing while we were there. Sunsets enjoyed with the family as we sat together a find memory.

This was a great location and great house! We loved it. So walkable and convenient to everything. Everything was so clean, kitchen was well appointed, w/updated appliances and had everything we needed. It was so nice to have direct beach access and we enjoyed coffee on the deck in the morning with a view of the ocean. (The burm helps with wind) We’ve never stayed beach-front before and now we are hooked!
One thing to remember, you have to put the front shades down in the afternoon, as it gets warm in the living room from afternoon sun. It is a great size for 6 people or so, the living room space is perfect. We would definitely stay again!

My husband, teen daughter, and dog stayed at the cottage. We’ve been visiting Manzanita every summer for the past 11 years. Our regular rental was being remodeled this summer so we booked this place instead. This year we invited our niece and her spouse who recently moved to Portland to join us. We usually stay on the same street, but about five houses down. We loved the comfortable, funky decor of this cottage, the closeness to town, and the private beach access. The only thing we missed is being able to see the beach from the living room and deck like we can at our other rental. That said, this house was priced accordingly and very comfortable. We loved our time there!

This was the perfect house for our family of six adults and 2 dogs! The kitchen was well equipped so we were able to cook a lot together! Love how we can get to the beach from the door. The back porch is perfect for enjoying the sunsets! Location is ideal - parking space enough for our 3 small cars, we can walk into town. We love Manzanita! I would love to see the path to the beach cleared a bit more- can’t quite get out there barefoot…. The house may be older but it was comfortable, clean and well equipped. Thank you and we hope to use it again!

We had a surprise guest right after we arrived on Thursday afternoon just after 4pm. Someone opened the front door. Our dog started barking and then they left. They went into the laundry apparently. My wife and kids were there and they originally thought it was me. Not a big deal, probably the prior renters. Just wanted you to know.

Great location. Furniture is a little dated. Dining chairs are squeaky. Path to the beach needs to be cleared a little better.

This was perfect for a three-night getaway. Beautiful ocean sky views from the huge windows. Walk to everything in Manzanita. Best equipped kitchen of any rental I’ve stayed in. I’ll definitely be back.

This is our happy place. We have stayed here 7 years in a row for my wifes birthday. The beach is just over the dune with easy access. Only complaint is the cookware while plentiful, is in pretry bad shape. We make all of our meals so, this may no be an issue for everybody . The TV is on the smaller size but view makes up for that. See you next year!

A group of us friends took a long weekend at the coast. All of us were really happy with the property. It was clean and cozy. We were able to go on nice walks both on the beach and into town. Kitchen was well stocked and allowed us to cook some nice dinners.

This was my second year staying in this delightful cabin with my 3 gal cousins. We feel so at home here especially with any possible needs available on hand including all kitchen utensils, blankets, food seasonings, fireplace wood, board games etc. We plan to return annually.

We loved our stay in Manzanita! It was the perfect location with access to the beach just over a dune and quick walk to the Main Street. The house was warm and cozy and felt like we were staying at our family’s vacation home. We loved it!

This is our 3rd time staying here. You can't beat the location to town! We have a small older dog and it's nice to have a place where she is welcome. The place could use some upgrades but I think that is part of the charm. We were a little disappointed to see that the grassy dunes in front seem to have grown and are now blocking parts of the view. Not the owners fault obviously but just wanted to point that out.
A very comfortable place to relax in our favorite place!
