Pictures don’t do it justice. The cabin was just lovely and exactly what we were looking for as a quiet, relaxing, romantic weekend away.
The cabin was clean and comfortable and a short distance to the park.
Our hosts were great with communication and gave us lists of places to go since we were never there before. We hope to stay agin in the future.

My husband and I stayed at the cabin for a few days in late June and echo the glowing reviews already on VRBO. This lovely rustic cabin beautifully complements it’s natural setting while providing a very comfortable up to date home away from home. The cabin is well-appointed with plenty of towels, blankets, games, etc. as well as a kitchen stocked with any kind of pot, pan and utensil you might need including a set of Cuisinart cookware and an outdoor grill.
We enjoyed sitting in the backyard listening to the stream and being entertained by the scampering chipmunks. We also appreciated the expertly crafted wood interior of the cabin as well as the many interesting pictures, wood sculptures and other decorative and historical touches. As we stayed at the cabin for only 2 nights and were there partly to get a respite from the city heat, we did not make use of the fireplace or back-yard fire pit, but know that, under other circumstances, they would be welcome amenities.
As others have said, communication with the owners was great; they provided us with lots of useful information about the cabin and area in general and responded quickly to any questions we had, both prior to and during our stay.
Last, but certainly not least is the beauty of the area and the convenience afforded by the cabin’s very close proximity to Ricketts Glen State Park.

My husband was fascinated with the woodwork and with the tools! Lovely cabin.

Rustic cabin blended with modern amenities and it's perfect. The craftsmanship is amazing and the size of the cabin is deceiving when you pull up. Much bigger than it appears! Great location, excellent communication with the owners and highly recommend this cabin. Would definitely rent again!

My girlfriend and I went up to see the falls and stayed the weekend at this cabin. Right when we got there, it was easy to get in using a simple lock box. The cabin itself was even bigger than I had thought. The pictures do not do the size of the property justice. The bathroom worked perfectly with good hot and cold water in the shower and clean towels. The really cool interior of the property was overall amazing, from the size to the artwork; such as old pictures, a painting, tools on the walls, and wooden sculptures. Outback was amazing too. We used the outside fire pit and it was very peaceful and easy to use with plenty of wood provided to you. Especially with the creek running next to it, it made the whole exterior very nice. I had no complaints while staying the weekend here, very clean property and it had everything we needed. We also had no issues with cell service on the property. Would 100% recommend staying here and would do so again myself.

The property is full of charm and an absolute gem hidden away in the woods. While there is no AC, the property owners gave us a heads up ahead of our stay (which happened to be in the middle of a big heatwave) and provided plenty of fans. We had an amazing time both at the cabin and hiking at the falls!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this beautiful cabin. The excellent craftsmanship of the woodworking is obvious. This cabin was very well stocked with all the necessities for cooking and some games/entertainment. The proximity to Ricketts Glen is very convenient. The stream that runs through the property makes sitting and enjoying nature very relaxing. Everything was very comfortable. The hosts are extremely kind and generous! We enjoyed every minute!

We absolutely loved our stay. The property is beautiful and well maintained. It was great being only a few minutes from the state park as well. This place will hold dear in our hearts as it was this weekend that we got engaged. Thank you Stephanie and Brian for this beautiful cabin.

Beautiful cabin in a peaceful setting. From a cozy fire outside on a cool night to the stunning craftsmanship of the interior, a stay here can’t be beat. The cabin is very well taken care of and the communication process from the owners Is flawless. I can’t wait to return.

A nice cabin and we plan to return. We appreciated the outdoor fire pit, really nice kitchen, wooden interior and reliable internet.
The park is a short drive away. It is a bit wet this time of year so we hope to come back and visit the trails in the summer. The cabin is on a road so there is the occasional sound of a car or truck.

This was our second time staying this cozy cabin in the woods. It was just as wonderful as the first only this time we felt more like home since we were familiar with the property. The bedroom is a good size, kitchen is wonderful to cook in. The living room and open area is very comfortable. We look forward to coming to this cabin each year, our home away from home to unwind and relax. We were finally able to experience some of the waterfalls at Ricketts glenn. We look forward to returning again in the future. A+

We had a spectacular weekend at the most beautiful cabin. Although it rained, it did not matter. The brook alongside the cabin babbled and we took a nap to the pitter patter of the rain on the roof. So cozy. Hiked the falls at Rickets Glen which was challenging but worth the effort. Highly recommend this beautiful cabin - unbelievable workmanship and natural beauty.

We were so happy to stay here! The owners were easy to communicate with and the cabin was bigger than I expected. The kitchen had everything we needed and we loved the wood work inside. Outside the lot is pretty with a creek and deer visited each day. Behind the house is a picnic table, fire pit and outdoor kitchen/ grill area. It had everything we needed for a fun weekend.

Incredible property. Upon walking in, it's apparent the time and craftmanship that went into remodeling this cabin. Perfect for a large family or gathering, or just 2 of you. The property was very clean and surpassed expectations. I spent Saturday morning sipping on coffee, sitting out back on a chair, listening to the small steam that passes the property. Definitely will stay here again. The owners were VERY hospitable and made sure we had all the information we needed prior to our trip. Great owners!!! If this place is available on your dates.....and you're reading this....do yourself a favor and book it. You will not regret it!

Brian needs to be up to date on the property. He was not aware there were fans and doesn’t follow weather forecasts. We took two fans and an air conditioner with us and could have used our car space better. It is beautiful inside, perfect for a party. The backyard is also great for entertaining. But the outside needs work and it is close to the road.
We only slept and showered there, as we had a wedding and party on Lake Ganoga at my sister’s place.
My 45 year old son found a frog in the stream runoff. Thanks

We really enjoyed our stay, and will certainly be back in the future. The location was ideal, the cabin was so welcoming and beautiful, and the property was exactly what we were looking for. We really enjoyed the fire pit area with the stream running through. You can tell you really put a lot of thought into the place and it shows! Thank you for everything and we hope to stay again in the future! Oh and thanks so much for the party mix (never had that kind before), it was delicious!

This property exceeded our expectaions and we will definitely return in the future. The pictures dont do justice. Walking inside and smelling the woodsy smell of the house was amazing. Very clean and spacious and a beautiful property. 10/10 would stay again!! Thank you!

Stayed here with my fiance for a weekend to hike in Ricketts Glen. When we arrived and walked into the cabin, we were shocked at how much bigger it was than it looked in the pictures. The wood work throughout the house is stunning! The fire pit out back was our favorite thing to do at night. We were so thankful that there was plenty of wood to use on property that had been kept dry under a tarp. We had steady rain all night our first night, but we still got a fire lit and just sat under the open shed. It was so cozy. I plan to be back again!

This place is great. We had a relaxing time with playing games they had in stock, building fires out back, and of course visiting the waterfalls! The bed was a little too firm, but everyone has different preferences so we didn't let that detract from our experience. Would love to visit again!
