Highly recommend. Our extended family group loved our stay at Sawyer Summer House. The location was great for access to the beach and we loved the peaceful, woody neighborhood and area surrounding the property. The house had plenty of space for our group, and it was nice for the kids to be able to hang out downstairs. The kitchen was well stocked, which made it a great experience to prepare family dinners after a day at the beach, and enjoy them on the outside patio. The hot tub and fire pit were awesome. The hosts were amazing with quick communication. We unfortunately got a nail in our tire during the trip, and they went above and beyond with helping us navigate the issue. Top notch good samaritans that we were extremely grateful for. Would definitely return.

Size was great for our family. We enjoyed mornings in the sunroom, the hot tub, basketball court and fire pit. One note --the bath tub upstairs could use some more non-slip strips. It's quite slippery for showers. Otherwise, we had a wonderful week.

The layout of the house was great for our group- there is 3 bedrooms in the lower level and a ping pong table and a movie area where the younger people stayed and played their video games and watched movies Upstairs there is three bedrooms where the grownups stayed. The kitchen was very well stocked. The hot tub was very relaxing and we had a fire pit one night and made s’mores. We contacted the host about the beach chairs and they had a neighbor take them out of the garage for us right away. Would definitely stay here again, we had a great time.

Our family had a great trip and overall enjoyed the house and property. The location was fantastic and we were close to all of our favorite spots. The yard and basketball hoop were great for the kids to play. The adults enjoyed the patio space. The interior of the house offered plenty of space for us to spread out and the kitchen was a great size to prepare and serve meals. We loved being able to gather at the table to eat and play games. A few things to note. Upon arrival there there was an old disposable mask very visible in the front landscaping that you walked right by to access the keypad. When we walked around back to enter the home, there were leftover toys/bug catchers on the patio tables. Once inside, we were greeted with old/empty hand sanitizer bottles in the kitchen window and a very dirty dish scrub and badly used sponge by the sink. These things did not make a great first impression. We moved the items out of site, but had to run to the store to purchase new sponges as well as hand soap. The bathrooms also did not have any hand soap. The rest of the house was ok. Nothing stood out as super dirty, but it wasn't spotless either. We have stayed in many vacation rentals over the years and this one was just ok. Nothing was bad enough to message the owner upon arrival. We had a great trip and the space worked out perfectly for our family, however we would not stay here again just based on personal preferences.

Downstairs was great for kids. The kitchen was very well stocked. I liked being close to Warren Dunes, but the proximity to the large road made it noisy to be outside. Bathroom on main floor was too small for two bedrooms and the water in that shower was only lukewarm.

Overall the house and yard were great. The grandkids had a ball in the yard and the adults enjoyed the hot tub. We also had fires in the pit on several nights. We are very big beach people and it was not a short walk to the beach. Especially if you were carrying anything. It was ok though as I had bought all my kids state park passes for Christmas. Upon arrival my 9 year old grandson had to go to the bathroom. The first one he went into had the toilet bowl full of toilet paper. He decided not to use it but went to another one instead. My wife tried to flush it and it just filled with water. There was a plunger and I tried to plunge it with no use. I called Chris and he said he would get ahold of his plumber. In the mean time I found a different plunger in the master bath and tried it. After several attempts it worked. As I was looking for my phone to call Chris back he called to say the plumber was in the area and would be there shortly. I let him know it was not needed after all. The only other issue was that upon arrival I'm not sure the floors were all that clean. One of my sons showed up shortly after us and he said the floors felt sandy. He proceeded to sweep in every room and came away with a nice size pile of sand in every room on the main floor. Again, my family had a great week and the owner was very responsive when needed. We had an amazing time with our friends (that are more like family) this weekend. The home is exactly what I would want my Michigan home to be!! It is cozy and perfect for a gathering! The movie room, ping pong table, fire pit, and hot tub put it over the top in our book!
