The house was as described. Perfect for my fur babies except the fencing is too wide for my little Chihuahua. He was able to get out

This was a great place to stay for the week with my wife and two Shiba Inu’s. Great location and Joseph was a blast. Stephanie was so welcoming to us. We cherish our vacations and this was just what we needed to decompress from very demanding jobs. We also celebrated our 20 year wedding anniversary while we were here. Our dogs loved the backyard and hanging out with the deer. Thank you for a great experience!

Once again we had a wonderful stay at the Serendipity Cottage. Super clean, well equipped and close to everything. Our poodles love the big, fenced yard. We had a minor issue with the TV and the coffee maker and Adam and Stephanie both came by and got us set up. They are excellent hosts!

This cabin is perfectly (walking) located close to town for enjoying all that Joseph has to offer. The home is clean and well appointed with comfortable beds and spaces. We had three people staying with no issues in space or bathroom time.
The host was quick to respond to all communication and welcoming in all of her responses. Although we ended up leaving the dog at home with a petsitter, the cabin was ready for a canine companion with bowls, dog towels etc.
I hope to come back and stay during the winter! I would not hesitate to recommend this cabin to my friends and family.

So glad we went! Joseph, OR is a hidden gem. So much to do and see. All the outdoor fun you could want.
This little 2 bedroom cottage was just right for our family and dog. Close to downtown, places to walk the dog around, and a fenced in spacious back yard.
We look forward to returning.

We came a bit early in the season - most things open up Memorial Day weekend. But for our first time to the area we really enjoyed the scenery & it was great having a comfortable place to stay. Appreciated the kitchen items although we didn’t cook. The closest grocery store is in Enterprise. Embers Brewhouse was a great place to eat. My husband loved the fries with his Traeger-grilled burger.

We had a wonderful week in this sweet little cottage that has a way of taking you back in time while meeting all of the basic needs, along with plenty of little touches of modern and care from the hosts. Stephanie and her husband arrived with snow shovels to clear out the driveway upon a heavy snowfall, and her communication was top notch! Great people who love what they do.
Looking forward to our next visit!

Perfect little house on a quiet street in Joseph for a mountain escape - Stephanie was responsive, helpful and friendly, and the cottage was clean, stocked with essentials and well kept with a huge yard for our dog and patio to sit outside and marvel at the beautiful mountains. Lots of natural light, indoor fireplace was tricky to operate but we figured it out, and did not try the outdoor firepit (which is a great bonus!) The kitchen felt small for 4 people but the overall living space was comfortable and had everything we needed (extra towels, laundry supplies, closet space). The house is walking distance from downtown (everything in Joseph seems to be) but away from the main strip, and a short drive to the lake and mountains. Closest large grocery store is Safeway in Enterprise (this goes for all rentals in Joseph). Highly recommend - we'll be back for our next visit to Joseph!

While my dog and I visited a few really lovely spots on our recent road trip, the Serendipity Cottage was our favorite home away from home. So much care and attention to detail has gone into making this a welcoming temporary home for any traveler(s).
We were so comfortable there, I honestly didn't want to leave. And the Wallowas are just breathtakingly beautiful to wake up to each morning.
My dog was in heaven in the yard, too. She very quickly made friends with one of the neighbors working on chopping and moving wood, and it was such a delight to watch them "hang out" together while I sipped my tea. =)
We will definitely stay here again sometime.

It was a quick trip to Joseph. We loved our stay.

Neat and tidy with everything you will need for a getaway in Joseph. Located only afew blocks from Main Street, it's a short walk to shops and restaurants. We were there in February over President's Day, so many places were on winter hours. We still had a lovely time with the mountain views and bright blue sky. We plan to come back in the summer.

This house was perfectly equipped, spotlessly clean, and comfortable beds. Great for a weekend in Joseph and you can walk anywhere in town. Great place to stay!

This house is charming and in a perfect location two blocks from downtown. The view of the mountains is spectacular and the beds, pillows, and linens are wonderful. The kitchen is small, doesn’t have a dishwasher and is not well stocked with quality cookware. We were glad we had pre-cooked our meals at home.

Our stay in Joseph, and in this rental, was magic. The beauty and peace abounds! If you are looking in a rental for glamorous and modern, forget it. If you are willing to be transported back in time and stay in this small up-kept house straight from the 50's, you have found your dream. Yes, there are creaky floors and drawers, old style two person kitchen table, and small tub and shower but all just added to the charm. Appliances, heating, water heating, beds, and furniture were all great. And the fenced backyard, though non-assuming was spacious and PERFECT for our pup (along with the added dog bed, toy, treats and pup towels provided) For us people, the side deck was a nice place for morning coffee, and an evening vantage of beautiful sunsets. Walking the neighborhood, sooo close to the cute downtown AND to Wallowa Lake..it all felt like a big comfortable hug. I would stay here again in a heartbeat

Best pet property I've seen. Even without a pet, great place and location. A bit spendy but was happy with the stay and would do it again. Note to self....if you don't like crowds, check the calendar and avoid Chief Joseph Days. We wondered in not knowing what was going on and still enjoyed it.

My husband and I and dogs went to Jospeh to hike and have a quick getaway. The house was perfect for us! It was clean, cozy, great location to hike and go to the lake. We were also able to walk to town. Our dogs loved roaming the big yard after a long hike. We would definitely stay here again!

This little cottage is nicely furnished and great for pets as it has a large fenced back yard with deer and squirrel sightings to keep your dogs entertained. We like the improvements thus far, the hardwood floors and bathroom remodel are nice. We also appreciated the AC unit in the bedroom - as the living area and kitchen heated up. We were able to walk downtown to dinner which was great. Highly recommend Embers Brewhouse - the best service and food, and staff are great. The owner of this vacation house, Stephanie, was both nice and responsive when we reached out. Be sure to plan a day to the lake and another to the Wallowas.

A very clean, well-stocked cottage. The owner was responsive although we had no complaints (only a question). Nicely appointed and close to town. Big yard, comfortable beds.

We took a week for the kids' spring break to visit Joseph during the shoulder season. This spot is in a great location for accessing everything. IT's walking distance to downtown and a short drive to Lake Wallowa state park for fishing and hanging out on the beach, or the nearby hikes. The dog loved the back yard and the treats. We had everything we needed in the kitchen and had a wonderful cozy stay! We'd love to come back in the summer!

Great vacation home. Super clean, well equipped with everything you need. Great for families and pets because it has a fully fenced yard and a deck where you have a partial (but excellent) view of the mountains. Perfect location easy walk to Joseph’s cute little downtown. We will definitely stay here again!

The hosts are very experienced as everything possibly needed was stocked, excellent communication provided and immaculate property. Very well situated in Joseph with easy walking distance to Main St.’s bar, brewery and restaurants/shops. Thank you for a wonderful and comfortable mini pre-Thanksgiving vacation!

My kids and I adored this cottage. It is wonderful! It’s close to downtown. It’s lovely to sit on the deck. The weather did not cooperate with the outdoor activities we had planned, but we were happy and cozy hanging out here. Highly recommend!!

Just what we wanted: clean and comfortable cottage with easy walk to downtown and the rodeo. Great communication. We'd stay again.

We loved this little house. It was perfect for 3 adults and a one year old. The baby had access to the deck which was great as he’s an outdoor little dude! We did have to use the outside furniture to block off the stairs but it worked perfect for him to come and go. The views from the deck are beautiful ( minus the power lines but you gotta have electricity)! The kitchen was stocked with all necessary things for eating in however we ate out each day! The Larger bedroom bed was very comfortable; bedroom 2 bed was ok (it’s a metal platform with a real basic mattress laid on top! It had one fan but it would’ve been nice to have a few more. It said there was an AC unit provided but we did not see one; we opened all the windows at night and it cooled off enough to sleep comfortably (but if it had been any hotter; it was 87, the AC/fans would’ve been nice)! We did not ask the owner about the AC unit since we were gone most of the day anyway! It may be there and we just didn’t see it! All in all the place was comfortable and clean and close to town so it met the needs we were looking for!

Perfect! Perfect location, cozy accommodation and very responsive owner. We were going to bring our dog, but then chose not to. I wish we had. This VRBO was very dog friendly, they were set up to welcome Sidney. We’ll be back in the Spring or Fall. (We stayed over Christmas).
