Welcome to our home! We have been traveling to Mazatlan for over 25 years and it had always been our dream to someday own and eventually retire and live in Mazatlan. We decided to purchase at the Costa Bonita in 1999 because of its location and fantastic beach. The wonderful thing about the beach is that when the tide is down it is flat, and there are no rocks or kelp. It is great for those who like to look for shells and sand dollars. All the units at the Costa Bonita are privately owned so you won’t find all of the ‘resort-type’ amenities like Para-sailing and sailboat rentals. These activities can be found at other locations nearby and the concierge can make booking for you. The tradeoff for not being in a hotel, timeshare, resort, is the quiet, un-crowded, peaceful beach!
You will find our recently remodeled unit with central air conditioning very accommodating and comfortable. If you prefer the ocean breeze and the sound of ocean waves, leave the windows and patio door open as they are all screened. The kitchen has all the amenities you will need with all new Frigidaire stainless steel appliances. The kitchen is equipped with everything you’ll need; Chef’s classic nonstick 11-piece Cuisinart Cookware Set – Ice Maker, coffee maker, toaster, blender, dishes, utensils. The water in our condo is filtered/purified so you can drink it right out of the tap. Our 2 bedrooms, 2 bath condo accommodates 4 very comfortably and is furnished with a King bed in the master and a Queen bed in the guest bedroom. Both bedrooms are furnished with new pillow top mattress and new pillows. Each bedroom has a flat screen TV connected via satellite with 42 channels. The bedrooms also have ceiling fans, in addition there is an osculating fan in each bedroom. After a long day at the beach, you can relax on the reclining leather couch and rocking recliner chair when watching the 55” flat screen SMART TV with surround sound. We also have a library of DVD’s and games. If you bring your computer, you can connect it directly to internet using a Ethernet cable otherwise wireless WiFi is available in our condo and throughout the resort. There is also a wall safe in the condo for your use. Laundry facilities are available on the 4th floor, equipped with token operated washers and dryers. Tokens can be purchased at the front lobby desk.
When sitting on our patio you will be able to enjoy the view from the 3rd floor overlooking the pool and enjoying the view of the ocean. If you are lucky, you may see dolphins or porpoise. Because of the location of our condo, you will be enjoying a beautiful sunset nightly so be sure to have your camera.

This condo has everything needed for a relaxing vacation! Great view of pool and ocean. Cerritos beach is always our favorite area to stay.The Costa Bonita staff are very friendly and accommodating. The food and beverages are tasty and reasonably priced. We had no difficulty finding lounge chairs at the beach or pool, even during the busy holiday week. There are several shops and restaurants in walking distance or transportation is easily accessed. We would not hesitate to rent this unit again.

Not only was this a beautiful setting with both the landscape & facility on the Pacific shore, but the people who work at Costa Bonita are amazingly warm, welcoming & genuine. For many reasons we will be back!

Another lovely Christmas in Mexico
Once again, Costa Bonita has exceeded our expectations. We look forward to spending our Christmas holiday here every year, and we’re lucky enough to enjoy this condo for the second year in a row. The condo is clean and well equipped for a small family. The beach is wonderful, the onsite food is great, the staff is amazing and attentive, and the pool is warm. A Quiet Oasis with Fabulous Sunsets and Ocean View
Our two-week vacation at Costa Bonita in February 2021 was wonderful. The property was not too big, not too small with manicured landscaping; beautiful ponds with turtles, fish and birds; friendly staff; great food at the on-site restaurant/bar. The unit we stayed in was great with a balcony that has a patio with ledge where you can eat your meals, watch the sunsets and the ocean. The beach was sandy, no rocks; not crowded, and a great place to relax under the palapa. The convenience of taking a bus right in front of the resort to go anywhere, including downtown, was great. Overall we had a vacation we will fondly remember for a long time. Hope to visit again.

A Christmas favorite
We had a wonderful stay in Mazatlan. The condo was lovely and well furnished and suited our family’s needs. The property manager, Irma, was great to work with when we had a problem with the water heater. It was nice to have access to an on-site laundry room as well.
We enjoyed the heated pool on site every day. The amenities at the complex are fantastic, including Leo, the security guard, who is always quick to get you a chair. We definitely hope to be back in the future!

Just what we needed...
We absolutely loved the entire getaway! The room was updated, clean, and very well cared for. Not only was the condo more than we hoped for but the staff (as usual) were a true delight. Thank you Jim and Kim... and the entire Costa Bonita family!

Renters vs Owners
This was our 2nd visit, different dates. The first week we were there was excellent, peaceful, so relaxing. The 2nd week was a complete opposite, which was the week of Easter. Lots of renters and owners came to stay. Tons and tons of little screaming, sand throwing, kids. It was clear to us, being renters, that the owners had a different set of rules. Which we accepted. That aside, it would of been nice if they just would of contained their kids around the pool and not allowed the huge floaties/pool tools out of the deeper end of the pool for the adults to use. You couldn't swim, lay around the pool without kids running you over. Otherwise our 2 week stay was great. The staff is friendly, helpful and soon become your friend. We would like to go back, but will choose different dates.

Beautiful/Breathtaking
We really enjoyed our stay at Costa Bonita, so peaceful and relaxing, just what we were looking for, the condo was beautiful inside loved the way it was decorated, it had everything we needed, the Palapa restaurant downstairs was very convenient we would eat there almost every day the food was really good and the prices were also good, all of the staff were very friendly. Would definitely stay here again.

Simply the Best!!
This was our second stay in this beautiful condo, we enjoyed it even more than our first visit (likely because we stayed longer). As far as our needs and taste, it couldn't be a better fit. The evening sunsets from the balcony are stunning. The pool and landscaping are immaculate, and the employees at the resort could not be more pleasant. The beds and living area furniture are very comfortable. Kitchen is as well appointed as any we've encountered in a vacation rental. It was another trouble free excellent stay, and we have already booked our vacation for next year.

A great place to enjoy the Mexican experience
We had a wonderful 8 night stay in Mazatlán. The entire trip was great but the location and quality of our condo was the best part. This.condo is of the highest quality and the staff are wonderful as is the food at the local palapa. Open air taxis can take you to other nearby restaurants for a few $$. Or ride the green bus into town for 11 pesos. A bus passes by every 15 minutes. A minimart is a 5 minute walk away on the main night toward town. The restaurant in the condo does not take credit cards. You have to deposit pesos in an account at the main desk and then meal and bar fees are charged against your deposit. No ATM available nearby so come prepared with pesos. Minimum deposit at desk is 1000 pesos. A little over $50 worth.
You will love the stay. People, sun, beach and sea wonderful.

Simply beautiful!!
Our entire stay was just about perfect! How can you beat the beautiful view, vegging on the beach and swimming in the ocean and pool! The staff were so helpful, they made you feel like a good friend. The only issue we had was someone near us constantly smoked a cigar from 5 to 10 pm every day so we were not able to keep our patio door open, and other owners rent just for the weekend to families with several small children. As kids will be kids, the screaming and jumping in the pool became quite loud. But that was just for 3 days, then the quite returned. It was so handy having the restaurant right there. You could eat your meals in the outside dining area, or on the beach on a lounge chair. The food was great, and so were the prices. Overall, we loved it, and hope to rent again!

This condo is ideal: stocked with everything we needed, roomy balcony overlooking pool AND ocean, bus to downtown right out front. And the staff was SUPER NICE! So friendly and helpful every day. I hope to stay here again!

Beautiful condo and resort!
Costa Bonita is a beautiful resort and very well maintained. All of the staff are very friendly and so accommodating. The Palapa Bar and Restaurant has excellent food (and drinks)!! The condo has been completely remodeled and is beautiful. The kitchen has all of the cookware, dishes, and utensils you could possibly need. The master bedroom and second bedroom both have unbelievably comfortable mattresses. The master has an awesome walk-in closet with a safe, and a beautiful new master bath. Well stocked with all the linens you need plus lots of beach towels. Loved the peace and quiet of the complex and the beautiful sandy beach. Seems like you could walk forever! I might add the view from the condo is perfect - watched many beautiful sunsets right from our deck. In fact, we love it so much have already booked for next year. Jim and Kim are awesome to work with, as is Irma, and all of the Costa Bonita staff. Thanks to all of you for making this an amazing vacation!!

Better than home!!!
This place is fantastic! The kitchen is remarkable in that it has every imaginable necessity, from plastic containers for leftovers to nonperishable foods and seasoning (and alcohol!) in the pantry. The appliances are new and the dishwasher is so quiet you can't even hear running. The furniture is comfortable and inviting. The televisions are big, get good reception, and there are plenty channels to choose from. Cleaning supplies and utensils are easily accessible, or you can hire someone if you are so inclined. Also remarkable was how quiet the complex is. No loud BINGO games, music or "rah-rah-let's do this" group activities. The other residents were kind, friendly, and inclusive The view from the balcony and the master bedroom couldn't be more perfect. We were there for a month, and if given the opportunity, we would stay there for six.

Looking to relax - you won't find better.
We left here wishing we could stay forever. Pleasant on every level. This resort, and this unit in particular, checks all the boxes. The condo could not be better appointed, or more comfortable. Everything is "top shelf". The resort staff is very conscientious and professional. The resort grounds are beautifully maintained, onsite restaurant/bar excellent and the beach is gorgeous. We will return.

We love this location, this condo and this unit.
By location, I mean away from the hustle and bustle of the more commercialized, funky parts of Mazatlan. Here, it is just white sand beaches with an occasional resort and some great dining options within a sandy stroll. (STRONGLY recommend Sr. Lionso's for dinners and the Looney Bean for breakfasts--both about a mile north up the beach.)
By condo, I mean Costa Bonita, which is not a soaring high rise that sticks you 12 or 15 floors up in the sky, but a low laying, U shaped building of six floors where most units have an up-close view of the pool and the ocean, 24/7. And the people & restaurant are laid back but on top of things.
And by this unit, I mean 304 A. Closer to the beach than another one we stayed in, brightly painted in yellow, and with two excellent beds and a TV in every room. This unit also has wi-fi and is VERY well outfitted and stocked.
We will be back.

Relaxing Accomadations
Loved the peace and quiet of the condo complex. The grounds and pool areas were allways spotless and the staff were very polite and attentive. The condo was very homey with comfortable furniture and beds. Great kitchen with an ice maker fridge that came in really handy. Beautiful beach with comfy recliners and palapas.would not hesitate to stay here again.

Excellent resort!
This was our first time in Mazatlan and we loved it!
The condo is nicely updated and very well equipped. It is in a nice quiet area, but a bit far from the historical downtown area if you plan to spend much time there. It's a 30-40 minute bus ride, but only costs 10 pesos.
The resort was well maintained and very clean. The staff were wonderful!! The food and drinks were really good (better than any of the all inclusives we've been to in Mexico).
We loved the beach. It was clean and you could walk for miles!
The historical downtown was wonderful. A really great place to enjoy the architecture, along with unique shops and fantastic restaurants and bars.

Clean and quiet property
We enjoyed our 7 day stay in this condo very much. Irma was very pleasant and easy to communicate with. The suite is very clean and comfortable. Would be nice to have dedicated internet in the suite as the internet was only accessible from the balcony. However, internet very good in the palapa area and the pool, so not a huge issue. This is a perfect place for a quiet, relaxing vacation. Also, very easy access to the public bus system if you want to spend time in the city or Golden zone. Best place we've stayed in Mazatlan!
We've been coming to Mazatlan for many years and this is one of the most comfortable places we have stayed. This smallish and very well kept resort is located 5 miles north of the Golden Zone which means it's quiet at night. It's easily accessible by bus, taxi or pulmonia. We walked down the beach most days - about a 20 minute walk - to the Cerritos Point retail area where there is a great coffee shop, good restaurants as well as souvenir shops. When we went there at night, we usually hopped on the bus for the one mile return trip. We appreciated the 24 hour security at the entrances and the friendly, competent and hard working staff. There is also an onsite restaurant here which is a wonderful option when you don't feel like cooking or going farther afield to eat out.
The unit is very, very comfortable with a well-equipped and modern kitchen, good a/c and a deck with terrific beach and ocean views. We are birdwatchers and so we spent hours viewing wildlife from the deck. We saw 85+ species of birds while in the area without trying very hard and saw bottlenose dolphins for our deck most days. We love the Cerritos area of Mazatlan because it is close to Estero del Yugo, an estuary about a 5-6 minute walk from the entrance to Costa Bonita. The beds were very comfortable, there were plenty of extra linens and beach towels, and inexpensive access to a laundry room. We used the pool every day and really appreciated how well maintained and clean it is.
There is a nice community of residents and owners here as well as a few renters like us. One surprise was an onsite massage therapist. What a terrific amenity. My one hour massage was 300 pesos! We can highly recommend this lovely spot.

A home away from home. I couldn't ask for a better unit to stay in. With the modern updates throughout and beautiful views, it made leaving very hard. Comfortable furniture throughout which made relaxing after a day in the sun very enjoyable. I will be booking this unit again soon!!! Thanks Kim and Jim for sharing your home with us!

We stayed at the Costa Bonita April 2016 for a week. Kim and Jim's Oceanside unit was amazing with everything we needed from the spacious bedrooms and living room and kitchen for a great stay. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We would highly recommended this unit and can't wait to visit again.
