Activities and where to find supplies and other resources will be included in your welcome package. The space includes a child size drafting table, adequate storage for any supplies you bring, inspiration all over the property and further into the woods and around the lake. Any supplies or materials left there are yours to use but not take.

**A little about the area:
Originally the Sacandaga Valley was home to the Mohawk Indians and was settled by Sir William Johnson in the 1700s. In the 1920's the Valley was a booming resort town with luxurious and beautifully landscaped inns with golf courses, a sports complex, off Broadway Theater and amusement park with a roller coaster!
However, the waters of the Sacandaga River and the Hudson flooded with run-off every spring causing great damage to homes and businesses. Work to flood the valley began in the 1920's and the great Conklingville Dam was put to use in the Spring of 1930 filling the great valley with 283 billion gallons of water!
Today the Great Sacandaga Reservoir is an undiscovered Mecca for boating, water sports, snowmobiling, skiing, fishing and all kinds of recreation. Historical markers and museums mark the great events of the area. Antiques and crafts are found little shops everywhere. And we boast some of the best lake front dining around! Unlike other lakes the Great Sacandaga Lake is still quaint and pristine! And Last Year it was voted the 2nd best place in the country to be for our nightlife by Snogoer Magazine! We invite you to join us in an unforgettable Adirondack experience!

Once a year all 21 (including 10 grandchildren age 2-12) of our immediate family get together. We live in the area but our home can only accommodate 13-14 of us. This property was nearby and gave us the extra room although all our activities and water fun took place at our home. It was a good choice albeit an unusual heat wave did require ample use of the fans!

Smores and campfires, cute chipmunks, white water rafting, swimming, woodsy sunsets and more. We had a great time. Thanks for sharing your family home with us!

We have been searching for a place to stay on sacandaga lake for a few years now. Prior to this our families lake adventures were held at the same place for 30+ years... when arriving at the bungalow we felt right at home. Like we never skipped a beat. Very warming and perfectly set up for a great family stay! Thank you so much!

Our family had a great time at the Pinetop Bungalow. We loved our time swimming in the lake, fishing, and hiking. There were a lot of great local hikes and cute little towns nearby to explore. We were also able to watch several movies from their extensive dvd collection at night when we were winding down as well. We would definitely recommend this house for anyone looking to getaway to the mountains and the lake.

Three graduates of R.P.I. (1969) get together every year since graduation. This year there was a 50 year reunion (Rensselaer). We took this opportunity to combine our annual stay with a trip to the campus. Had a great time at the cabin. Didn't do too much, but then again that's the point.

We stayed with our two young children and their grandparents. It was a wonderful place to stay and was set up perfectly for us! The kids room was stocked with great toys and the girls especially loved the doll house. The whole family loved the arts and crafts room, what a wonderful idea! Highly recommend!

Everything was exactly as the description said. The owners gave excellent and helpful information beforehand about the property and the local area. It feels like exactly what it is, an older cabin in the woods. Clean, open and relaxing setting.

We really enjoyed the bungalow. It was spacious enough for us all!! The grandchildren, ages 7 & 9, especially loved the arts & crafts room and spent many hours there!! We love the quiet setting and building fires!!

My husband and I had a great stay with our 4 kids aged 7 to 6 months. We loved being so close to the lake ( dock down the driveway ) and within driving distance to lots of fun hiking trails - not to mention trails on the property. House stocked with sheets and towels and kitchen full of great appliances to use for cooking. Would definitely stay again!
