Welcome to historic St. Marys, Georgia, the second oldest city in the United States. It is a quaint, quiet, and friendly waterfront town located on the St. Marys River with access to boating, fishing, and kayaking. St. Marys is the gateway to Cumberland I sland National Seashore with beautiful beaches, live oak trails with hanging Spanish moss, historic ruins and wild horses. Our town features a waterfront park, monthly festivals, seasonal concerts and quiet streets for walking and biking. St. Marys is centrally located less than an hour drive from Brunswick GA, St Simmons Island, Jeckyl Island, Amelia Island, Fernandina Beach, the cities of Fernandina and Jacksonville, FL. These cities and islands are perfect for day tripping with plenty of boutiques, shops, restaurants, golf courses, beaches and water sports. Conveniently located is the Jacksonville International Airport, the fabulous and mysterious Okefenokee Swamp, a 2013 season award winning small hospital of the year, the Naval Submarine Base Kings Bay, and the Crooked River State Park.

Pelican's Perch is a detached, fully furnished apartment located at 905 Seagrove Street in Historic St. Marys, GA. It is located 1/2 mile from the city waterfront, restaurants, shops and Cumberland Island ferry. The cottage style apartment has a fully applianced kitchen, breakfast nook, a children's trundle bed, a separate bedroom with a queen bed, one bath, washer and dryer, and a private patio with gas grill. The cottage rental includes the use of beach chairs, beach towels, three bikes, and a golf cart. Golf carts are legal in downtown St. Marys and any area with a 35 mph or less speed limit. The cottage has private off street parking in a quit mid-town neighborhood. Other amenities include WIFI, cable TV, DVD player with movies, and central air conditioning and an abundance of bedroom storage.

The cottage comfortably sleeps two adults and two small children. However, there is a pull out sofa for an extra adult or child. The apartment is not ground level and has private stairs. The kitchen has two coffee makers, a blender, mixer and plenty of cookware and utensils. The cottage and property are a smoke free residence, and do not allow pets. Motorcyclists are welcome.

Beautiful property, well maintained and well equipped. On check in, property owner couldn't accept payment, had a slight delay in reaching the correct vrbo office to pay balance due. Very easy once I got the right office. Couldn't operate TV, instructions weren't correct, owner came over and fixed it. Very friendly owner, gave lots of info about the community.

If we could give it a 20 we would. We loved this apt. it was very clean, comfortable (the bed too) & very well stocked. The owners were very nice & they really thought of everything one may need when staying away from home. The attention to details was beyond expectations. Moreover, being able to borrow beach chairs & Umbrella was great and although we didn't use the golf cart or bikes, it was a nice touch to include all of that with the rental. We were also very impressed with the property's magical garden, it was so tranquil and beautiful. We were able to enjoy seating in the private patio overlooking all the beautiful flowers & trees. It was also a great location 2 min. from downtown and Cumberland Island Ferry & 45 Minutes from Fernandina Beach & Ameila Island, FL. We will definitely be back and highly recommend this place. The best vrbn we have ever been to, hands down. We honestly loved it. Thank you for having us!

We had a very relaxing stay at Pelicans Perch! We have stayed at this apartment before and loved it then. Still loved it now! It was clean, relaxing, beautiful gardens, very nice bathroom essentials. In fact, I just ordered the shampoo and shower soap. Very luxurious! Wendy and Michael are great hosts, they’re available but , in no way intrusive.

“Some people look for a beautiful place, others make a place beautiful.” **************************************** The Pelican Perch definitely exceeded our expectations. The apartment was so cozy and comfortable that we felt at home immediately. The apt was spacious enough that we never felt cramped during our 6 week stay. We could not believe how quiet the neighbour is. Sitting outside on the comfortable chairs, reading a book, enjoying a glass of wine while listening to the birds and being surrounded by beautiful landscaping could not have been more relaxing. Wendy and Michael are wonderful hosts. They are so friendly and personable and made us feel very much at home. We will definitely be returning next year for a month. Anyone choosing the Pelican Perch will not be disappointed.
