We had a wonderful stay at Green Gables. It was a beautiful historic home with lots of character & charm. It was very relaxing surrounded by plenty of trees and green space even within the city - we saw tons of wildlife. It was a convenient walk to the downtown area with bars & restaurants - just over a mile or so depending on where you're going. Communications with host were easy and prompt. The place was clean and fully furnished - no complaints at all!! Definitely would recommend and stay again.

Very clean, very helpful owner, close to town and art district. Requires car.

Great place for a stay in Asheville - walked to coffee/breakfast every morning and breweries in the afternoon. House was spotless - fenced yard was a plus to allow the dog out. Communication with the owner was easy and excellent.

The house is exactly as described. The area is “transitional” and very close to restaurants and the River Arts District.

We selected this house for a weeklong stay for our first visit to Asheville. Just about everything we wanted to do was less than 10 minutes from this house. It is centrally located and easy to navigate to wherever we wanted to go all week. This is an older house that was absolutely charming. We loved the location, furnishings, cleanliness and location. The host was absolutely awesome. We will definitely stay here again when we come back!

Green Gabel is a wonderful place to stay in Asheville. The home is lovely with high quality antiques in every room. It is spotless clean. The front porch is a relaxing hangout after a long day of adventure. The owner provided us with loads of information prior to arrival to help us plan are stay. The home is situated on a quite street and only a few minutes to many attractions. You cannot go wrong with a stay at Green Gabels.

Very clean and cute. The front porch and yard was perfect for our family to hang out while home.

My husband and I recently stayed along with our dog. We had a great time at Green Gables. The house was very clean and perfect for our needs. Fenced in yard made it easy when taking our dog out. Location is great as well. Many places within walking distance or short drive.

We stayed here with our two kids and two dogs for a week. This was an older home with some charm and the older amenities and fixures that come along with that. We had everything we needed in the home, and the fenced-in yard was great for the dogs and kids. While the river arts district and downtown are both within 10-15 minute walk, we found ourselves driving most of the time. The neighborhood wasn't exactly what anticipated, but it was nice enough. The woman who rents out the main part of the house, but we only saw her once or twice all week. Overall a nice place to stay if you're looking for a house in a neighborhood during your time in Asheville.

Loved the house, the neighborhood , and the convenient location. It was walkable to Downtown and the River Arts District so there were numerous options for entertainment and restaurants. The house was well appointed with a beautiful wrap-around porch and a lovely yard. Highly recommended if you want to escape the bustle of the commercial areas but still be close to access the nightlife!

We had a great time in the AVL and Georgia was a terrific hostess answering questions before we arrived and supplying us with welcome cookies! The house is close to everything, one could walk if so inclined. As a family of 4 (2 teenage girls) we've stayed in a dozen different rentals and this one is like a home; plenty of space, plenty of amenities, plenty of everything. Would happily rent again!

We loved this property. There were 6 of us and we all had plenty of room. There are 3 full bathrooms, 2 beds and a pull out sofa bed. The house was super clean and cozy, the wrap around porch is beautiful, even in the cold we spent a lot of time out there. We walked everywhere most of the weekend, this house is in a great location. The decor of this house is amazing, it's mostly restored antiques and the house itself has been restored to a beautiful home. I would definitely stay here again, and bring my little dog next time! The cookies that Georgia left for us upon arrival were AMAZING, she took care of everything down to the little details. Georgia is an excellent host and made sure we were content. Very memorable stay!!!

Green Gables has a cozy, understated elegance. The space creates a sense of peacefulness, warmth and hospitality. And so convenient to both the River Arts District and downtown Asheville. The Owner was very attentive to our comfort and experience. We had a delighteful week!

Beautifully renovated home less than 4 miles from Biltmore Estate and downtown area. Property manager was always available to answer questions. We’ll appointed house with everything you’d ever need. Big front porch perfect for watching kids or pets play in the fenced yard.

The home and furnishings take you back to a time past. Hose is warm and inviting. We chose not to walk and it was very inexpensive to uber downtown. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay

I travelled here with my husband and 17-year-old daughter. We were looking to visit Asheville for the first time and relax. The porch swings were the biggest attraction for peaceful family talks and reading spaces and they did not fail!
Georgia was a fabulous host as her house is welcoming and full of everything a traveler could need or want. The house was located so very close to downtown so that we could take the short car ride to the delicious and plentiful restaurants of downtown Asheville, as well and the many shopping opportunities.
Ten minutes away was the Biltmore - a bucket list item that we all 3 thoroughly enjoyed.

We really enjoyed our stay. Location is in walking distance of restaurants and shops. It is near the arts district and many breweries. We took a drive on the blue ridge parkway which was beautiful. Kayaked on the French Broad river and visited the Biltmore estate. Lots to see and do. Be prepared for a work out walking up hills. 😀. Georgia was a lovely host.

Neat, clean & charming unit in a not-so-charming
neighborhood. Parking in rear of apt was extremely
tight, making ingress & egress a challenge. Enjoyed Biltmore Estate & Omni Hotel dining experience. would have enjoyed stay more if we had been domiciled nearer
to Page Ave (Restaurant Row) amenities.

Incredible 5 days at Green Gables. The accommodations were perfect for two couples and could squeeze in a child or two on a couch. Green Gables had a glorious porch for sitting and relaxing. The house is filled with antique furniture but all functional and in great shape. Georgia was a perfect host and made sure our stay was memorable. Without a doubt we would stay again and hope to soon. Perfectly situated for easy access to all good things in Asheville, yet removed enough to avoid the less desirable elements found in many parts of the popular city. Put it on your “A” list for a great stay in Asheville.

We celebrated our 38th anniversary with a visit to the Biltmore and dinner at Limones. I highly recommend both. The conservatory at the Biltmore is a must see. It's incredible. The house was very comfortable and Georgia is extremely nice and very accommodating. Our dog, Camden, loved the fenced-in yard. The location allows convenient access to I-240, which is a must for getting around the area.

This was an ideal central location to explore the Asheville area. Close to the Arboretum, Biltmore Estate, Historic Asheville and River Arts District. And only short jaunts to Brevard, Black Mountain and the Blue Ridge Parkway. Plenty of quaint coffee shops, breweries, restaurants, and local crafts shops. Many only short walking distances

Great location within walking distance to river arts and breweries. Awesome host!

Green Gables is the perfect place for a solo retreat, which is what I was looking for, and for a couple or small group wanting beauty and coziness and easy access to wonderfully artistic downtown Asheville. Owner Georgia prepared everything beautifully and was completely clear on all instructions and helpful hints. Although she resides in the upper story of the house, I would never have known she was there if I hadn't sought her out (and found her to be a kindred spirit) My favorite features were the spacious veranda, the exquisite garden, the choice of cozy places to be inside the house and the proximity to downtown. The trek is walkable, though I availed myself of the convenient and inexpensive parking garage on Wall Street. If you enjoy a historically beautiful aesthetic combined with every modern convenience, Green Gables is an excellent choice. I will return!

Green Gables is packed with historical charm and has all the amenities needed for a stay with family. It is conveniently located near all the fun things to explore while still being tucked away on a less busy street. Georgia was excellent to work with and so helpful. We will definitely stay here again.

The host was wonderful, very gracious. The house was very clean and I would definitely book this property again. There was a binder with tons of information for things to do and places to visit. We even received an email on a rainy day letting us know what we could do on that day. The yard was full of flowers and well maintained.
