About this house rental

The Daylesford/Hepburn Springs region boasts many tourist attractions including mineral spas, massage, great restaurants, local produce, wineries and wonderful bush scenery and walking trails.
Dacha is the Russian word for holiday house. It is a place to retreat from the hustle and bustle of city life and rejuvenate your body and spirit. Dacha is also a place to reconnect with friends and family and share quality time with those you love.
Our Dacha is a one hundred and twenty year old house renovated to surpass it's former glory. Basically it was gutted and rebuilt, only keeping it's original rustic charm exterior. The house is perched on a hillside overlooking Daylesford Lake (approx. 100 metres from the lake's edge).
Local activities include restaurants/bars, fishing, hiking, swimming, canoeing, wineries, cycling, horse riding and outdoor activities.
The house is secluded, yet it is only a ten minute walk to the town centre.

Our girls trip was the best ever at this house - so much we are coming back next year. The location is equisite, the house is amazing with everything you need for a girls weekend away. The views over the lake from the spa is spectacular and you are walking distance to town. Just beautiful! Thank you

We had a lovely time staying at this beautiful house. Location is amazing and the view of the lake was just perfection. The garden is gorgeous too. Would definitely stay again! Jacuzzi was awesome too!!!

Stayed for a weekend with family and partners. Beautiful house, in a perfect spot over looking the lake. Had everything we needed with plenty of space for everyone. Will definitely stay aging and recommend to others

The pictures do not even give justice to this place and are the truth and BEYOND!!!! This home gave us the most majestic, comfortble and happy feeling it is beyond explanation!!!! Will come back again, again and again!!!!! The views, the rooms, the house is just too much to explain just how wonderful it is :-) thank you thank you and thank you BEYOND WORDS just how much this beautiful home is. I and my friends would rather come to this home than go ANYWHERE in the world!!!!!! Just so so so very lovely with everything you need, except to enjoy the beauty of this wonderful town!!!! BEYOND IN LOVE with this home and the town. This home was amazing. Very well presented and looked great. The house looked great - v stylish (esp the artwork and photography). Location is perfect: looking right over the lake. All my family and friends loved it - esp the killer view. Located within walking distance to the main street meant that the car didn’t need to be used. Great heating. Kitchen very well appointed. Absolutely loved it.

The property is gorgeous, cosy and perfect for a quiet stay in the heart of Daylesford. Amenities were great, beds were super comfy, the deck overlooking the lake was gorgeous (including the amazing spa) & all the extra little touches were spot on. Highly recommend.

Great location and great accommodation. Beautiful views, nice and cosy. Only disappointment was the hot tub wasn’t heating so had to heat with hose. The property manager however responded quickly and provided a solution.

Dacha is a special place . Both stylish and relaxing. Well appointed throughout with quality fixtures like double glazing and quiet hydronic heating. The large deck spa and pizza oven drew us outside, as did the breathtaking view across the lake. The beds are super comfortable too. Valek was communicative and responsive throughout. The whole experience made for a wonderful family gathering. Highly recommended.

We had a wonderful couple of nights stay at this beautiful house. The beds were super comfortable and had lovely linen and towels. The kitchen was great and well stocked with everything you could need. And the deck, with it’s beautiful view was my favourite place. Such a lovely garden and great location to the street. We would definitely stay again!

The property was perfect for our weekend family catch up retreat for our party of 7 adults and 2 small dogs. The location was close enough to the shops to get anything we needed, but sufficiently removed from the town centre to be an escape with a stunning view of the lake. The lake walking path was at the bottom of the garden for those of us who wanted to walk and the house had everything for those who wanted to stay put. It was fabulous in every way. Would love to come back and enjoy all it has to offer in summer too.

We had no problems in renting this property, our host Valek was always courteous and willing to help in any way possible. We did have a maintenance issue with at one stage, but valek called a tradesman ASAP and all was solved as best as possible. As all previous comments I had read on Dasha, it was a fabulous home to stay and enjoy the magnificent views, listen to many birds chirping amongest us and could not have expected more. Great home to spend time with friends and have a girls week away. Thank you to all.

A beautiful modern luxurious house equipped with all you could possibly need for a stay away from home and more! Views are amazing with the deck overlooking the lake. Outdoor spa was enjoyed and pizza oven was a hit with all. Great communication by owner. Thanks Valek for an amazing stay.

Dasha is definitely a 5 star house experience. The jacuzzi in the deck over looking the lake was spectacular with heaters to dry you when you get out. You do not have to bring a thing not even you favourite pillow they have a soft or hard one to choose from. All these little comforts make the perfect luxury home. There are TV'S in all the bedrooms that have doors opening on to the surrounding balcony which all have little places to sit and enjoy the treasures in the garden or the lake view. The house is so well thought out for a family or a girls weekend away. In the 30 years I have been going up the Daylesford I have never stayed in a house as grand as this one. Seriously save up and spoilt yourselves. Cant wait to rebook and stay again Thank you Valek and Rosemary for sharing you home Jo
