Guests absolutely loved the vacation home, highlighting the fantastic pool, dock, well-equipped kitchen, plentiful supplies, and great host.

We had a really good time at Fisherman's Dream. The house had everything you could ever need. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen had everything you would need to cook a meal, the pool was great, we fished off the dock a little and caught a few fish. There were movies, books, and some toys for kids. The kids room had bunk beds a toddler bed, and a trundle bed too. The beach was close. We went to many different restaurants. We walked on Canal street and Flagler Avenue. Most places were within 10-15 Min. The host was very responsive. We would stay here again.

We enjoyed a fabulous vacation at this home. The owners have everything stocked with anything you could possibly need to be comfortable and have fun. We fished off the dock, swam in the pool, and enjoyed family game nights. No issues with our stay and the owner was very responsive. We felt right at home. My only recommendation would be a step stool in the bedroom as the bed sits up high and is difficult for shorter or older guests to get in the bed. Thank you for your wonderful hospitality! If we are ever back in the area.... we will certainly book again. We highly recommend this property!

Absolutely loved this vacation! House was great. My family said it was their favorite spot so far. The pool was fantastic as well as the dock, just remember to use bug spray! There is also plenty of supplies to use in the kitchen and throughout the house. Host was great!

Had a wonderful relaxing stay. Lots of fun canoeing, kayaking and paddle boarding in the lagoon. Beach was in walking distance. Pool and hot tub are great to use after hot day in sun.

We had a wonderful time here. From riding bikes to the beach, kayaking, fishing, boating to Disappearing Island and swimming and entertaining guests to relaxing in the hot tub! Definitely recommend it!

We were just two couples looking for a place where the boys could fish and the girls could go to Disney and it worked out perfectly! 😊

We had so much fun in the pool and hot tub. Even caught some catfish and tilapia off the dock, even got the paddle board out in the canal and had a blast. My daughter had fun catching lizards. 10/10 would recommend and return. The beach was under a ten minute walk also which was amazing.

My husband, father-in-law and I booked Laurie's place for 5 nights and it was everything we needed it to be and more! The house was spotless upon arrival, and we appreciated the extra steps that were taken to ensure guest safety during the pandemic. The house was more than equipped with all the standard necessities. From kitchenware and appliances to comfortable bedding and plenty of towels, to all the beach items and toys you could ever want. The space was ample for our family to enjoy time together, as well as apart when we needed some me-time. We spent most of our time hanging out outside by or in the pool, watching the sun set over the Lagoon, or gathered around the kitchen island enjoying a nice home-cooked meal.
Communication with Laurie was great before and throughout our stay. We had a little issue with a breaker the first night, and Laurie was very prompt to respond and helped us resolve it in no time. She even purchased new beach chairs and sent them to the house, as their previous chairs had bit the dust before we arrived.
All in all, we loved our stay at Laurie's house and will definitely recommend and rebook next time we are in NSB.

The house was beautiful and clean. Everything plus more was available for us. Loved the private pool. The neighborhood was quiet and people were friendly. 5 minutes to the beach or store. We would absolutely stay here again.

This home was just what my family needed. New Smyrna is a quiet beach town and this home is both close to the beach and also tucked away in a residential area. It was truly a home away from home with everything a family would need to be comfortable. My twin toddlers loved the bunk beds and the pool felt very safe (shallow end about 3 feet). My wife and I were in love with the king bed and high quality bedding. We went every morning to the Hiles beach access and the new smyrna tide pools are great for kids and just lounging. We ventured out to Canaveral seashore state park and enjoyed the gorgeous untouched landscapes. The home is very close to JB Fish Camp that is great for seafood and views of the Lagoon side. Overall so happy with getting to experience this home and can't wait to come back!

This was a fantastic place to stay! It had everything we could have possibly wanted or needed. We definitely took advantage of the pool and our teenage girls loved taking out the canoe and exploring. Thank you for a wonderful restful vacation.

This was a perfect getaway for our family. The home is beautiful and is just as described. Laurie was so wonderful, always responded to questions and offering helpful information. The fishing was awesome and kept us wanting more. Easy access to the beach. Our family made great memories and didn’t want to leave!

We stayed for 1 week. There was a pool for our 7 year old, hot tub for all of us, and fishing right out the back door. The home was fully loaded. I appreciate the small things (i.e., salt and pepper shakers, a touch of vegetable oil in case we forgot to get some, sunburn relief lotion if needed, and things like that). Laurie and Larry have done a nice job updating the bathrooms and the living areas are casually decorated and comfy.
Our only feedback is that the shower mat in the master bath was a bit slippery and could cause a fall. We just took it out and that was that!
We recommend JBs fish camp for kayak rentals and a meal with a view. New Smyrna is a great little town for anyone who wants to be close enough to tourist areas but far away to avoid crowds and major traffic.

My daughter and grandson joined me for a week and we all greatly enjoyed our stay. The house is well equipped, clean and comfortable. Easy access to the beach by car or bike. Good fishing from the dock or from nearby boardwalk piers on the canal. Grandson liked the fishing and catching crabs in the large trap at the house. Quiet neighborhood. Overall, highly recommend.

This was a beautiful, quiet location. It was right up to the canal. The private pool and hot tub were fantastic!! My family (4 adults and a toddler) we so happy with the house. The amenities were perfect for us, including the toddler bed! A few minutes down the road is a park with an amazing viewing area of manatees and dolphins. It was like our free own wildlife park. The only thing I would change is to have enough bath and beach towels for the max number of people in the house. But, that is so minor. The owners were very responsive and helpful. Loved this house!! The listing information was accurate, and the house was clean. Couldn't have asked for anything more!

We just got home from a week long stay at this property and we can't say enough good things about it! The nicely updated house made our family (kids 6, 5, and 3) feel so comfortable and at home. Everything you need for the beach and pool is there for you to use, so no need to bring your own. The beach is very easy to get to and close enough to walk, however we drove most days because it's no fun to walk home with crabby tired kids. The pool was so nice for hot afternoons when we were tired of the beach. The backyard and dock were so quiet and peaceful and we even saw manatees swim by multiple times! We just loved everything about this house and will be staying here again next time we visit.

Stroke of genius on my part for finding this gem! Just returned from a month long stay at this spot and now I'm ready to take on the world. So restful, so inviting! Had all the extended family there one day for the family reunion and they all were remarking about what a perfect vacation getaway house it really was. Nice pool, hot tub, then the really nice boathouse over the canal...gave a whole new dimension to the property and this is where the cool kids hung out. Beautiful grounds, lots of birdlife, really a place you can get into your vacation mode quickly so you don't waste any precious time!!

We arrived late at night and our first feeling entering the house was like somebody just took their bag and left the day before..... The kitchen cupboards were so full of groceries etc. that we did not have any space for our own bought groceries. We told Laurie about a couple of things in the kitchen which we saw the first night, but when the cleaning lady came there were so many things and places that had to be cleaned that we just wanted to leave. We also sent Laurie pictures of the dirt, but she could explain everything ("This is a beach house"....) and did not see the problem - we were difficult and could have asked the cleaning lady to fix it...... The problem is that the property is in a poor condition regarding maintainance and cleanliness and it would be neccessary with a weeks cleaning, and probably more to paint and repair everything that needs to be done, and is it fair for hollidayguests to use their holliday to get a clean place to stay?? Shouldn't this be done before guests arrive? The BBQ was so dirty and could not have been cleaned for months! As we asked the cleaninglady reg. the outside she said that they do not clean the BBQ. We got half of the rent back from Laurie, but she let us understand that this was only her kindness and nothing we were intitle to have and she lost a weeks rent and this was very inconvenient for her... I must say after travelling half the world it was very inconvenient for us too, as three days of our holiday was spent on hazzeling with this house and finding a new place to stay. This was not what we had planned!!!!
What also not mentioned in the listing is that one bedrooom is in the garage. None of our children wanted to stay there, and the sofabed was not made for anyone to stay there either.
We have been renting homes/houses in the US for several years in all parts of the country and this is the worst we have experienced. We have always been happy and have never left a home before we had to. Too bad the owners of this house doesn't see the necessity of the things we pointed out. We took over 30 pictures of the dirt everywhere and this is not a home we would recommend to anyone in this condition. What also surprises us is the good reviews this house has as this is absolutely not accurate and makes us wonder who wrote them.....

We thoroughly enjoyed our recent stay at this great property. As we have three small children (5, 3 and 4 months), we were looking for a place that could accommodate their interests and needs, which this rental certainly did. Everything we needed for the baby was there- monitors, a bouncy chair, play pen and stroller, as well as many games, toys and movies for the children to play with. The owners were incredibly accommodating, dropping off a bike for our son a bike to ride, which literally inspired him to learn how to ride a two wheeler while we were on vacation!
The location of this home is great - a quick jog to the beach for runners (which I did every morning!), a very close bike ride or a even faster drive. As it was our 4th year back to New Smyrna, we were also central to other places we like to visit, including our favourite pizza place and to Canavaral National Park.
The amenities in the home were excellent- quality linens, flatware and pots and pans. After staying at a very "tired" property last year, it was wonderful to arrive and find everything in great condition, and very clean and well-maintained.
The pool and hot tub are excellent. Both are quite large, and were certainly well used by our entire family.
The dock is a sure hit. We enjoyed fishing and catching fish and crabs all week. Lots of action for sure! And the wildlife was spectacular- jumping fish every few minutes, a heron on the dock each morning, crabs everywhere. The boys were in their glory.
We sincerely appreciated the hospitality of the owners, who were a pleasure to deal with throughout our booking, stay and departure.
This is truly a great place for young families (and all families!) to stay. Thanks!

We had the pleasure of spending our vacation at this beautiful home and were completely thrilled with the experience! As described, it is in a perfect location! Laurie & Larry were absolutely wonderful!! Their home has everything you need and then some...Our 4 y.o. grandson caught his first fish from the dock and was sooo excited. We relaxed in the huge pool, enjoyed the hot tub and of course spent our days soaking in the sun on New Smyrna's awesome beach. This is the perfect vacation home for everyone. We're hoping to return again next year. Thanks again Laurie & Larry :)

All in all we were very happy with the house and the amenities. The owners were very helpful with reserving the house and answering any questions. The house is in a great location, not crowded, easy to get to the beach. The pool is "big" and we enjoyed swimming in the afternoons and evenings. The view is great and relaxing. Our advice is to fish in early mornings or you will get eat up with the bugs at night.
The house was clean and the property was kept nice. The only thing I would suggest is to clean up the area where the bikes are kept and to add a few more pots and pans. We enjoyed buying fresh seafood and cooking instead of having to get dressed for dinner. It was nice to eat outside by the pool.
We would recommend this property for families with children. We also recommend the seafood market and restaurant, Oceans Seafood.

This house was everything and more the owners promised. The pictures do not do it justice. The cupboards and closets were full with all the needed amenities for a comfortable and easy stay. There are endless recreational activities available without even leaving the yard. You can fish from the dock (we caught a couple sea trout), canoe down the river and canals, swim in the large crystal blue pool, or enjoy the sunset and jumping fish in the canal from the hot tub. My kids spent hours chasing small lizards and crabs around the yard. The beach is a 2 minute drive or an easy 10 minute walk. The owners provide beach toys, coolers, beach blankets and umbrellas so all you have to do is enjoy yourself. 5-10 minute drive to the shops and restaurants on Flagler Avenue. A great home with great owners. Thanks from the whole family!!!!

We enjoyed a week at this rental and it was just perfect. Everything we needed was there, and the location was very convenient. There was great fishing to be had, and we spent many an hour on the dock fishing and watching birds. (We left a rod too--you might plan on bringing a few.) We took the canoe out a few times and there are limitless waterways to explore. The beach is 2 minutes away and is just beautiful.
The house itself is very comfortable. It's completely quiet at night so we all slept very soundly.
Larry and Lori were pleasant and great to interact with, and we have no complaints at all. We would definitely recommend this property, and would love to return to spend more time there.

The owners were wonderful answering our questions and helping us to plan our fishing excursion. New Smyrna was a beautiful, quaint town, with a gorgeous beach. Our family rented this house for the Christmas holiday - the location of the home was great, close to the beach, close to town and close to fishing. However....the pool was great, but the heater was very loud, making it difficult to leave the patio doors open. The master bedroom was too small for a king sized bed. The bed was up against the wall and the inside person had to crawl over a large wooden foot board to get out of the bed or crawl over the person next to them On the other side of the bed, there was a little over 12 inches of floor space between the dresser and the king sized bed. The bedroom was also dimly lit, making it impossible to read in bed. The TV was in the closet, making the useable closet space pretty small. The kitchen was not well equipped - there were only small frying pans - not large enough to make pancakes and bacon for breakfast. There was only one pot to cook dinner with. Also, the microwave is installed in the wall above the stove - if you are cooking on the stove top and have to use the microwave at the same time - you risk burning your arms. The doors on both refrigerators did not close tightly unless you pushed on them. One refrigerator did not have handles on it. There were enough dishes for five, therefore we ran out of dishes each day after breakfast. The bath towels were old, worn and mismatched.
The house is in a great location - with some renovations and TLC it could be a great vacation bungalow.

This home had everything you needed. The pool was the perfect temperature, great toys were provided and it was great for a 5 year old kid and adults. The hot tub was nice. The fishing dock was great. It was comfortable and we caught many fishes. The canoe was fun to ride and the river was nice. The neighborhood was quite and everyone we ran into was so polite.
Laurie was great. Very helpful via email.
The house was comfortable. A lot of space to play and hang out. The beds were comfortable. The kitchen was fully stocked.
The house was great and it was better than we hoped for.
We definitely recommend this house.
