Best of Times is 2 blocks to the beach. Your family will fall in love with prestigious Pirates Beach and its peaceful, private beaches. It is just beautiful here.
Galveston's laid-back island vibe will ensure your family will relax and make memories. Enjoy Schitterbahn and Moody Gardens, both just minutes away. Learn about Galveston's history through the many museums, or shop the eclectic boutiques on the Strand.
The house has everything you need to relax, including an outdoor shower, patio furniture on both decks and the huge patio, a well-stocked kitchen with brand new, top-of-the-line appliances, and a large flat screen tv with dvd.
When you are ready for the beach, it’s a short walk away! Beach toys, and life jackets are provided for fun in the sun. Our family home is kid-friendly and pet-friendly, but it is non-smoking.

We really enjoyed our stay at Best of Times. The location is very convenient, just a short walk to the beach and a short drive to get back into town. The neighborhood was clean and quiet, the house was clean, everything worked as expected, the kitchen was well stocked. We highly recommend Best of Times!

Wonderful home and location!! Loved the neighborhood/area. This house has everything you need. Kitchen was well stocked, lots of outdoor equipment available to use, plus it was a very short walk to the beach. We thoroughly enjoyed our family weekend away. We would definitely stay here again!

We looked at a lot of beach houses before deciding to book this one because of its great reviews and included supplies—fishing poles and gear, crabbing supplies, yard games, tons of beach gear, coolers, board games, lots of towels, a golf cart, and lots more. Our kids had a blast, and we saved so much money from using their supplies. We highly recommend this rental!

We had a wonderful Easter weekend with sand, salt, sea, and some sunshine. The house was perfect for our needs; kitchen was stocked with everything we needed and we only had to bring the food! Very cozy home and being able to bring our fur babies was also an added bonus. The outdoor area was great for us and the dogs. We grilled and used the chiminea for roasting marshmallows. My kids loved the outdoor shower concept so much that’s where they showered. Also a huge bonus as they were sandy. The bedrooms were nice and comfortable and the deck was perfect for morning coffee. We had a wonderful time full of memories and happiness. Our kids are 3 and 7 and cannot wait to go back. The beach area is private so there weren’t too many people and no vehicles which was perfect. We aren’t sure who was more tired, the kids or the dog who all loved the ocean. The owners are very responsive and accommodating. Thank you for providing such a lovely place to stay! We will be back!

This house was perfect for our Girls Trip. I also rented the golf cart. It is really slow and not much power but it got us to the beach and back. Just a note to include more than one TP roll for each bathroom.

Our week at Best of Times was fantastic! The house has a beach vibe and is extremely comfortable. There are beach pails and every toy or game you could want for fun on the beach or playing indoors! Inside, all drawers and cupboards are labeled so everything is easy to find. The owners even provide a beautiful tour guide as well as flyers and other info regarding Galveston sights and eateries! Simply an amazing beach house!!!!

Our family of 7 stayed here for a week. The home was very clean. They thought of everything as we didn't need for anything other than groceries. There are tons of sand toys, boogie boards, beach chairs, an umbrella and a wagon to cart it down to the beach. We received a welcome email with information and distances/times to get to attractions which was really nice since this is our first trip to Texas. The beach is so close to the home and easy to walk to. The beds were very comfortable! I highly recommend renting this wonderful home for your next vacation!

What a great vacation home!! This beach house has everything we needed for a great relaxing, comfortable beach getaway. Great place for adults both older and young adults and great if you have small kids also. Lots of activities to do at the house just hanging out and more than enough beach gear options and toys for any age. The neighborhood is so nice and house is a minimal walking distance to sand, My young adult kids loved playing table tennis in the evening and I loved relaxing on the porch swings. The couches and beds were incredibly comfortable too! Will definitely be back! Very responsive property managers as well with any and every questions I had both before and during stay.

Our family had a great time returning to Best of Times! The neighborhood is great and the house is located very close to the beach. We love all of the amenities available at the home. We didn’t anticipate a drastic temperature drop and perpetual rain when we booked this vacation, but the dreary weather was the only drawback to our stay. The home is full of beach touches and all amenities were easy to find and thoughtfully gathered and labeled. Access to the beach was easy and the nearby stores and eateries marked on the fridge. We enjoyed our cozy stay in and the easy access to downtown Galveston for all the tourist attractions. We will definitely return in a warmer month to take advantage of the beach toys and the cozy outdoor spaces and take In more sea air. All parties were charmed and happy here.

Very close to the beach, far enough outside of town where it’s quiet, far enough off the main road you don’t hear the traffic and plenty of space for a group of friends. The house was well supplied with everything you need. Everything is even labeled so you know exactly where everything is. The owner is very friendly and is there for you whenever you need or if you have any questions. I would highly recommend this house this location for any event and hope to get to use it again same time next year!

From the moment we drove up and saw the porch and hammocks we were blown away by all the amenities this property offered. It was absolutely perfect for our mom friend group to have a wonderful relaxing few days to celebrate the end of summer. Close to the beach and just enough distance from the tourists. Would highly recommend for families as well. Fully stocked kitchen, games and activities for everyone, and golf cart to the beach. Perfection!

The Best Time

Renting the golf cart was the best decision. Made it so easy to haul stuff to and from the beach. The house was so clean and well stocked. Lots of sand toys, beach games, a wagon, boogie boards, towels and more. Everything you need for the beach was provided. We had the best time at this beach house with our family.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Best of Times beach house! After many visits to many beach houses, we can say this is the most well-stocked house we have ever stayed in! The owners' offering of games, puzzles, extra towels, grill accessories, and beach toys is amazing! There is even an information booklet made by the owners. This book includes not only instructions for the house but also lists places to go, fun things to do and the best places to eat, even a history of the island!!!!! The house was clean and neat. The porch was shaded in the evening and was a great place to sit and listen to the ocean. I highly recommend getting the golf cart for the short trip to the beach. It really came in handy for all the back and forth trips our group made. Overall, we enjoyed our stay!

What an amazing property! We had such a great time that we will be renting again for next year. The property is located just a couple blocks from the sea and with the optional Golf Cart rental is was a breeze to get back and forth. The house is perfectly detailed for living on ocean time and set up for a beach get away. The bedrooms are reasonable sized and the kitchen comes with everything you need to cook a great meal at your home away from home.

We loved how close this property was to the beach. Just a short walk or golf cart ride away. The kids and dogs absolutely loved heading to the beach each morning. It was a short drive to The Strand and other local attractions. Overall, great place!

Everything was wonderful. I loved everything about the location to the beach. The owners couldn’t have done a better job. I did bring a very small dog and the neighbors 2 large dogs would constantly bark knowing I had a small dog in the house. They also had a car alarm go off every 10 minutes one night from 4 am - 8 am. Other than the neighbors disregard for the neighborhood, my week long stay was amazing:) the property has lots of extras for you to use like board games, video games, golf cart, pet friendly, washer dryer, beach chairs etc! Definitely loved it here!

The house was just what we expected. The 3 rooms had queens each and quad bunks in the last one. 2 well suited bathrooms met our needs. Dishwasher, coffee maker, toaster, microwave, pots-pans-dishes-utensils, you name it, its available. A large open living area tied everything together and made visiting with family easy while working in the kitchen or dining. Every nook and space had toys, games, books, video games, blankets or something, so don't bother to pack those things if you enjoy them. AT&T Tv and internet was used some but we were always out doing something. All the homes in the area are on stilts as is this one, but the stairs are straight and minimal. Very nice 2 level deck with the upper deck sporting 2 lounge chairs for sunbathing. The ground level was perfect for hanging out. The 2 hammocks were very relaxing! The garage holds the washer and dryer, golf cart, games and BBQ pit along with many toys and useful items for the beach. The beach is about 2 blocks away with easy access. Unfortunately there is no vehicle access on the beach but it is only a short walk to a great spot. Everything was nice and tidy and the property very clean and organized. Most all drawers were marked for easy identification of contents. The overall location was good for us. Only about a five mile drive to the Seawall and attractions. Directly across from the neighborhood was a very well equipped convenience store with all the essentials. Beer, fresh pizza, ice cream deli and many products that you may need. They even have a Boarshead meat display! Overall the owners have a well kept, seasoned home that met our expectations and we hope that others have the same experience we did! Enjoy!
