A very private, gorgeous and spacious home with many thoughtful amenities. Many gathering areas from the living room, to the dining room, to bar stools in the kitchen and a game room. Also, there are multiple lanais furnished with comfortable outdoor furniture for options to Enjoy the outdoors. Plus a private swimming pool!

Our family of 5 adults,3 teens, and a tween stayed in this home in July 2024. The back patio was lovely:overlooks a lush golf course, the cool breeze is constant. The kitchen is large enough and well stocked with essentials but the faucet was not working properly. Decor and furnishings are dated but not unattractive. Laundry very good. Lighting inadequate in bunk room. No dressers, etc. for clothing. There is no air conditioning-- mostly a problem in the room with the two bunks. They are large and block the windows on one side of the room so cross ventilation is weak. Also, there is no ceiling fan in that room as shown in photos. We did request and were given additional floor fans which helped. The other bedrooms had enough ventilation that they were not unpleasant at night. The main floor bedrooms are all quite small, but the upper floor with its separate sitting area and balcony are great. The TV should be moved to the sitting area from that bedroom though. The pool table is not in the house, as implied by the photo, but in the garage. The heat there was stifling most of the time. There is a nice enclosed de-sanding area with hose and shower. Biggest issue for us was the pool: it was dirty when we arrived, the cleaner, which was supposed to remain in the pool at all times, was not functioning. Since that was the reason we rented this property that was a disappointment. The agency did make a good faith effort to help. Hot tub great; pool spa nonfunctional.

Everything was amazing and as advertised. The home is very spacious and easily accommodated two families with five teenagers. I appreciated the cleanliness of the rental home. The trade winds were blowing so no a/c was no problem! The location is great! A favorite for all was watching the numerous bird species from the back lanai. I would 100% rent this home again.

House was nice, may need a deep clean, floors were dirty and sticky.. I had to sleep on the couch due to the primary suite’s bed being very uncomfortable, super soft, with zero support. Pillows are also very thick, if you have neck issues bring your own. Also pool vacuum must stay on and in, at all times, even when swimming. It was nice to have fans and it was a spacious layout. Beautiful location

You will not be sorry if you stay here! Amazing lanai with shade, breeze and NeNe's & chicken's for company. Family pool for play, great beach toys & chairs. Kitchen had all that you need for family dinners at home. Pool table in the garage for extra entertainment. Having the extra fridge in the garage was great for our Costco haul.
Lastly , the property management team is fantastic! From food / restaurant recommendations, early contact with activities to reserve early as well as quick response to questions.

We had a great time at this VRBO! It was exactly as described in the listing. The pool was great and there were even beach chairs and a beach canopy which were both very helpful. Check-in/check-out were both very easy. Great place to stay!

Beautiful house right on the golf course. Plenty of room for 5 adults and two kids. Very quiet. We all loved the pool, hot tub, and back patio. Kitchen was very well equipped. Nicely furnished and decorated. Pool table in the garage got a lot of use. Master suite upstairs is amazing!
Just a few cons - pool was really dirty when we arrived and pool sweep wasn’t working. Took about 30 minutes to skim and get the sweep going again. If trade winds aren’t blowing, the bedrooms can get pretty warm. And some of the beds - especially the master suite upstairs- are ready to for new mattresses.
But we loved our time here and took daily trips down to the fantastic beaches in Hanalei. Wonderful place.

The home was perfect for our family. We had 8 people, and it accomodated us very well - everyone had their own space but the common area was great for everyone to gather as well. The pool was fantastic, it was deep which was great for our older kids. The kitchen was well set up with a good deal of plates, glasses, cups, etc. It was very comfortable. Our family of 7 thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Hale Moena. The home offered many beach chairs, coolers, etc and a great open floor layout. The location was great for all the North end towns and beaches we love most on Kauai. The kitchen was well equipped. The upstairs primary suite was nicely laid out. We would recommend a new mattress on this bed however. We used fans to stay cool in the evening. We would consider this property again on our return trip.

We would recommend this property to large families. There were a few problems that were resolved by the property management and some concerns that were told about to be repaired for future usage.

This house and location was perfect for our family celebration. There were 5 adults and 4 children, 3 to 9yrs old, and the pool was the main attraction for the kids. We also spent a lot of time at the beaches and having all the beach equipment for our use was wonderful! We loved our time at this beautiful location in Princeville. The home is so nice and in such a quiet neighborhood. There was plenty of room for our multi family group but everyone gravitated to the back lanai looking overlooking the golf course. The kitchen is well stocked and we made good use of the beach equipment provided. And the pool was an extra luxury. We would definitely recommend this location to anyone visiting Kauai.

Princeville Golf Course Property
Great family getaway at this Princeville property with pool. Great master suite upstairs with two private balconies and plenty of rooms and space downstairs to accommodate or multi-generational family. The centrally located pool was perfect for afternoon swim parties and evening relaxation.
The only reason for an okay cleanliness rating was for an unclean pool that required maintenance before we could use it, an unclean BBQ that required the same and a broken blender. Management was able to correct the issues by day two and all was well.

This home creates a perfect compound for the exploration of this magical island. With ample room and great separation of space for numerous guests, open floor plan with plenty of seating, private and quiet location with a vacant lot on one side, amazing mountain views from the master bedroom and balcony, a back porch surrounded by an old growth Eucalyptus grove that gives you privacy from the golf course, and a perfectly private courtyard for the pool and hot tub, this place is a 10. Pool table in the garage is the icing on the cake. The staff of Kauai Vacation Rentals are simply wonderful to boot. Lucy, we can not thank you enough for making this stay absolutely perfect for us. Perfect house for a group!
This house was great for couples! Beautiful house on the golf course, pool and hot tub were perfect. The small hot tub doesn’t work but there is also an above ground hot tub that was nice at night. Garage has a pool table which was fun in the evening. Lanai over looks the golf course which gave us a lot of privacy. Overall great experience and the property manager was very easy to work with. Only downside is that you have to checkin and pick up the keys in Lihue- we were already on island so that wasn’t convenient but the manager did offer to have the keys delivered to us in princeville!

Clean and comfortable house. 5 adults and 2 children 7 and 11 years old stayed for 9 days and was plenty of space so we didn’t get on each others nerves. All bedrooms and bathrooms were fine and the large common spaces were large enough to accommodate everyone.

Perfect spot for a big family!
We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Hale Moena! I had seen some reviews about no A/C or cleanliness issues and it really was not a problem for us at all. We loved sleeping with the sliding doors open and the breezes blowing through. The wind was blowing when we arrived and the pool had some flotsam in it . Not being a pool owner, I called right away to ask about it and it was just normal plant material and easily scooped out by us in minutes. The responsiveness of the management team was amazing! SO FAST and SO FRIENDLY! We requested an additional fan and it was there with a few hours. The neighborhood is very quiet and relaxing but close to groceries and beaches. It was a wonderful stay!

July 2019 Stay
The house is beautiful and in a nice neighborhood. I will not be coming back to stay at this house for the simple reason it was not air conditioned. The tradewinds were obsolete for the most part, therefore leaving all the rooms extremely hot and uncomfortable. 3 fans were provided but I had to go and buy one myself...KVL did run 2 more fans over on the 2nd day after I requested them. The 2 rooms facing the pool area were like ovens... especially the room with bunk beds ! We had to move the mattresses to the living room floor where the kids could have a breeze and share the two fans. The homeowner asked that we keep the fridge at medium temp. Because the fridge will freeze up and shut down. Our milk was spoiled after the 2nd day. The ice machine in fridge also leaked water . Get a new fridge
If you try to recycle, they expect you to take time from your vacation to transport all the recycling to an offsite location.
Upon arrival The pool was filthy so we cleaned it. Great way to Vaca.

For the most part, our stay was spectacular. A little disappointed that one of the jacuzzi's didn't work and the pool was dirty. This is our 7th time on the island and my family and I enjoyed it to the fullest. Queen Emmas is a must see, Hideaway Beach as beautiful as ever. Next year I plan on staying in Kapaa

I think this house has a lot of potential but it needs some updating and TLC. When we arrived the pool was filthy. It had trash floating in it. Our husbands had to clean it. The jacuzzi didn’t work for the first three days. It wouldn’t go higher than 94 degrees. They told us it was automatically set to 104 which was not the case. Pool guy arrived on Monday and fixed everything but then it still took a day to get it to a normal temperature. The refrigerator also took a couple days to reach a normal temperature. Everything inside was luke warm. There were other issues but these were the main issues. House is a great location and would be great if certain things were addressed. We brought this up to management more than once. No hot tub for 3 days and a dirty pool upon arrival deserves significant compensation. Both are the reason we rented the house. The compensation we received was very poor and a slap in our face. Not sure they care what they’re guests think. Dirty pool and no hot tub is unacceptable!

What Tradewinds?
I knew this home had no AC.. but was assure it was NOT a needed, because of the Tradewinds.
After acquiring 7 portable fans .. it was at least “Sticky, tolerable @Night”. Bunk room was like a furnace & NO ceiling fan to help circulate the air. Had to bring Mattresses out to living room and sleep on the floor. No Breeze whatsoever in downstairs pool view bedroom. 2 Fans & ceiling fan was not enough to make it comfortable. The house was nice.
Our groceries went bad because we were only allowed to keep fridge at Medium temp. (house rule). Pulse the ice maker leaked water , constantly. Pool needs a good cleaning. Was dirty upon arrival. House needed some type of AC unit.. it’s too big of a house with high ceilings to depend on Tradewinds & box fans.
I felt like I let my family down.
Back to resorts for us. Done with VRBO’s.

Very nice spacious property
The home was beautiful with lots of room! Beautifully decorated. Screen tracks very dirty so hard to open/shut. Jets in the small pool area not working, nothing that made our stay any less amazing! Location wonderful! Close to shopping and the ease of getting around the Island from this location was wonderful! Sometimes the house was very hot! With only ceiling fans and portable stands most nights were fine!
