About this house rental
We have spent years making this house a relaxing getaway for ourselves, and now we want to share it with you. We got married in this house 10 years ago and have loved every firefly-filled night and morning mountain sunrise since. The house is conveniently located just 15 minutes west of downtown Asheville and is situated just below the Blue Ridge Parkway. It's a spacious 2600 square foot house with plenty of room for entertaining and relaxing both indoors and outdoors.
The house has 3 luxury queen beds and 3 full baths all of which are perfect for unwinding after a busy day at the Biltmore, hiking the trails in Pisgah, or brewery hopping and food sampling downtown. There's a full kitchen and a 700 sq ft deck with full mountain views as well as a fenced-in yard and fire pit. The downstairs entertainment area has a large 55" flat screen TV, poker/game/bumper pool table and a ping pong table. There are tons of board games and books (we're huge readers and game-lovers), and we also have a pack and play if you're traveling with your toddler. There's also a washer, dryer, iron and ironing board for any laundry or ironing you might need to do while staying in Asheville.
You'll have full access to all parts of the house during your stay as well as all parts of the backyard which has a fenced-in portion for kids or a dog.
We have lived in Asheville for a long time and have lots of suggestions and recommendations for things to do, places to see and where to eat. We're always happy to help friends get around the city and make sure your stay in the city is a fun experience.

Our stay was amazing, and our family loved spending a month in Hannah and Bob’s home! The house has everything you need and is super comfortable. We love to cook, and the kitchen has everything you might need (including the BEST cookbooks). The back patio is great for a relaxing cup of coffee in the morning, or for winding down at the end of a full day in Asheville. And the basement is incredible – so many games, books, a ping pong table, a treadmill, and so much more. And to top it all off, Hannah and Bob are so generous and were super helpful anytime we reached out with a question. It’s clear that they have spent so much time and energy creating such an incredible space.
We highly recommend to anyone visiting the Asheville area. We also look forward to staying there again the next time we visit!

The owners have put a lot into this home…wonderful game area in the basement, comfy furniture and back porch with everything you need. The owners were very responsive when we reached out to them with some issues.

Our stay was comfortable, kitchen was equipped with necessities, furniture, beds acceptable. Recreational amenities as listed were unsatisfactory, pool sticks had no tips, foosball table was in need of repair (bent pole).

It’s a great place with a lot of fun built in. Right between Asheville and the Chestnut Ridge wedding venue. Very nice and very convenient.

The house is decorated very nice and the neighborhood is a very nice and was quiet. The kitchen is well equipped and the bath towels thick and soft :-). The bathroom stairs to downstairs can be tricky to navigate if you have knee problems, like 2 of us did (in our 70's).

We were attending a wedding at the Engadine Inn, which is close by. This pet-friendly property fit our needs perfectly. We had 3 adult couples and were very comfortable. The owners checked in with me to ensure that everything was going well. It was a great stay.

We came to the area for a wedding at The Farm. The location was perfect since we were only a few minutes away from the venue. The neighborhood was nice for early quiet walks. Grocery store was nearby and trips into Asheville were easy.
The home was clean and just what we needed for our stay.

Great little getaway and a perfect place to stay for a week in Asheville
Overall our stay was wonderful. The house was perfect, the fenced in yard worked great for the dogs, beds were comfortable, and it's location was perfect for going downtown, The Biltmore, Arboretum, River Arts District, West Asheville, and all the other wonderful places that Asheville offers.
The 2 small comments I have would be the following...
- The house was not as cleaned as I would have hoped when we got there - sticky counters and tables, and very dusty.|
- Also, it would a great idea to add some type of curtain to the window over the kitchen sink. The sun comes in very bright in the morning and is quite blinding when you are trying to make your coffee and breakfast.
Otherwise, everything was great and I would recommend your house heartily!
Thank you

Family Christmas reunion
Our families from Florida joined with my sister who lives in the area and her family over Christmas. We were able to manage cooking for all at the air BnB with 9 adult and 2 kids on two occassions. We were able to get the youngest to bed while others hung out in the family room downstairs. Worked well. Slight learning curve re the kitchen set up, stove and utensiles. Dog friendly.

Great weekend get away
The house was perfect for my group of friends. The location couldn’t be better if you’re attending a wedding at the farm like we were. We had a blast in the game room downstairs and hanging out on the back deck. We downloaded the avlrides app for rides into downtown Asheville and it was quick and easy. Owners were very responsive and nice. Definitely would recommend this property.

Fantastic home 15 west of Asheville
The sprawling neighborhood and rolling hills made us squeal with glee-BEAUTIFUL! Neighbors were kind. 5 min drive to grocery/Starbucks/gas.
The rooms were decorated well, super comfy beds and linens. The space to play was endless and the kids never got bored. Tons of room to play out back. Excellent and communicative hosts.

Delightful Property/Great Location
My sister and I and our husbands spent a long weekend at The Birdhouse. It was wonderful. The home is located 15/20 minutes from downtown Asheville and the Biltmore Estate. We spend time cooking (kitchen is well equipped), eating, and utilizing the game table in the basement area. We loved the light fixtures in the kitchen/living area and the art the occupied the walls. The Baileys have a guide to the house as well as area restaurants and attractions. Games, videos, and books galore. We will DEFINITELY visit again when we are in the area. Many thanks to our hosts!

Over and beyond expectations
Our stay at this home was lovely! The house was comfortable for six adults and so tastefully decorated. We had a blast in the vintage inspired basement complete with ping pong and bumper pool-- what an incredible space! The view of the mountains every morning from the back deck is even better than the pictures.
I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again when visiting Asheville in future. Thank you for providing a home base to a great birthday weekend!

Super comfortable
The home’s 3 bedrooms all have plenty of room. The deck is great and the open concept floor plan is ideal for people hanging out. The basement’s theater area, card table and ping pong table are perfect for relaxing in the house after a long day outdoors. The location was great too. We had no problems or complaints. We would definitely rent here again.

Cool spot, convenient and welcoming
We loved staying here! First off, the room is warmly decorated and welcoming. The shower is very cool with a rain-style showerhead and open design. Robert has left a helpful Asheville guide with places to eat and ideas for day trips. We definitely availed ourselves of the bumper pool. I only regret that I couldn’t get the NES to work (technology, you win this round). But you (probably) didn’t come to Asheville to play games. The little suburb is convenient to main roadways and easily connects to take you into downtown Asheville or wherever you want to go, in case you were concerned about Boone-like mountain roads. Coming and going was very easy. Probably the only downside is the room, being a basement, is not really insulated from the rest of the house in terms of sound, so we could hear the family’s young child fussing early in the morning and running around upstairs. We felt the need to try being quiet so as not to disturb, but you try being quiet while playing bumper pool!
Anyway we both agreed we would stay here again without hesitation.
