Just minutes from town but the feel is so country! Country guesthouse with catherdral ceilings, tall windows to capture the views of the mountain and sliders to wander out to the deck. Sit in the comfy garden chairs and BBQ on the deck which overlooks the garden. You will get a perfect Mt Shasta View!!! Perfect for Stargazing!

Beautiful hardwood floors with open floor plan - eating bar with tall bar stools, the kitchen is well equipped and full of light. Large living room with sliders that let you take in the cool evening breezes or just to appreciate the views. Flat screen TV in living room and bedroom. Woodstove for those snowy evenings.

Spacious bedrooms - one with flat screen (queen bed). Other bedroom has two twins. Plump futon in living room with sleep two more.

Take a stroll and enjoy the gardens with beautiful flowers and seasonal veggies. You are free to help yourself to the naturally grown veggies!!! Nice sunflowers.

Wander down to Cold Creek and bring a book - grassy nook with benches are just waiting for you to sit a spell and unwind. Leveled water pools offer waterfall sounds -

This was the perfect place to stay for a wedding across the road. Loved exploring the local waterfalls, and downtown. Also enjoyed eating at the Mt. Shasta Resort. And of course, the adorable pets on the “farm”, and chatting with Ron.

The layout was great for a family of 4. It was clean and the hosts were very friendly. It was raining for most of our stay some we did not get to enjoy the view but the house was warm and cozy when returned from our wet adventures.

We had the pleasure of staying at Ron's farmhouse, which boasted breathtaking views of Mount Shasta, and it was an absolutely delightful experience. Ron and Arlene were incredibly accommodating and went above and beyond to ensure our comfort throughout our stay. They were friendly, attentive, and provided us with valuable assistance whenever we needed it. The house itself was thoughtfully designed, with every detail carefully considered. The interior was cozy and inviting, adorned with tasteful decor. The amenities provided were excellent, leaving us wanting for nothing else. The highlight, of course, was the stunning view of Mount Shasta that greeted us every day. It was truly a treat to wake up to such natural beauty. The location of the property was also perfect. It offered a peaceful retreat away from the city, while still being conveniently located near local attractions and activities. Whether you're looking to explore the great outdoors or simply relax and enjoy the tranquility, this farmhouse is an ideal choice. I highly recommend it for an unforgettable getaway.

As you can guess, everything was...great! House is clean and well accommodated - very comfortable. The view is amazing and visible from most of the living area inside and even moreso from the deck right outside of the front of the house. There are also cows in the foreground which were fun to watch (and moo at :). The host, Ron, literally could not have been more accommodating - from proactive directions on how to get there, suggestions for nearby activities/restaurants and help around the property - just perfectly helpful and courteous.

Our family absolutely loved staying on this property. The view of the mountain from the deck and living room are splendid. The house in on a farm. The outdoor spaces, including the open space behind the house which has a creek, a fountain and a pond, a bridge across the creek, seating, and a well maintained garden are all very very beautiful and fully accessible. We got farm fresh eggs during our stay. The hosts are very easy to reach if need be.

Wonderful location and a sweet little farm

My friend and I loved our long weekend here. The views of Mt. Shasta are incredible - the photos do not do it justice at all. The beds are very comfy, the woodfired stove is easy and very warm. The kitchen has all the essentials, including tupperware! Very thoughtful. The shower's water pressure is pleasantly high. The whole pace has a spacious and calm feel. I would recommend to friends. :)

Wonderful Location

This was a fantastic (although) short weekend stay for us. The location was lovely, the property was perfect for us and it was just the getaway we needed. We arrived on a Friday, got settled in, and spent the afternoon down by the creek or up on the deck reading with Mt Shasta looming in the distance. It is close to town, easily accessible to the freeway and just a great staging area for a weekend of hiking. If you enjoy outdoor activities, the trail to Mt Eddy is only about 40 minutes away and completely worth doing. Thanks to Ron for making us feel welcome and providing us such a great place to spend our weekend.

Fun on the farm!

Our family had an amazing experience during our stay at Cold Creek Farm. Ron and Arlene are the perfect host and we have already started recommending their property to our friends in the East Bay. Mount Shasta as a whole is a gorgeous area and the location of the farm couldn’t be any better. We explored several falls, hikes and lakes all within a 15-20 minute drive. We were able to hike Faery, Mossbrae, 3 Tiers of McCloud and Hedge Creek Falls during our stay. We rented a boat to explore Lake Siskiyou and also hiked to Castle and Heart Lake. If you would like to explore caves, I would recommend driving to the outskirts of Weed to Pluto’s Cave. It was about a 30 minute drive from Cold Creek Farm. The farm itself was super fun for our 2 year old son. He loved seeing the cows, chickens, goats, dogs and cat everyday as well as playing with all the great toys provided. Ron grows the best tomatoes and veggies on the farm and we loved having fresh eggs in the mornings from Arlene. Hands down, our favorite place we have explored in CA. Thanks again Ron and Arlene!

My husband and I and our two children thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The apartment was private and comfortable and we felt very much at home. Our kids particularly enjoyed the cute twin bedroom with its toys and books, and our animal-loving daughter loved the goats and chickens. The view of Mt. Shasta from the front deck was amazing! The beds and linens were comfortable, and we enjoyed falling asleep to the sounds of the creek. The kitchen was fully stocked and we were able to cook several meals. The only constructive feedback I would offer for the lovely hosts is that the spices and utensils in the kitchen are a little dusty and could probably use a deep cleaning. But this was a very minor detail in an otherwise lovely stay!

We loved everything about this house - the views, the hosts, the creek in the backyard and the little farm. The house is decorated with a lot of love and charm. The property around the house is beautifully maintained. We were a bit concerned that the house is a bit too close to I-5, but that did not bother us at all. All we could hear at night is the creek in the back of the property where both bedrooms are facing. I am pretty sure we will be back to this house. This was definitely a highlight of the trip for the kids.

This cottage with its amazing view of Mount Shasta can’t be beat! It is light, bright and open. The vaulted ceilings and wall of windows create an indoor/outdoor feeling. Chickens, sheep and cows next door really give you that country feeling. The hosts are perfect. Very proactive yet give you plenary of privacy. Close to town, lakes, waterfalls, hiking and an unforgettable view. I will be back!

The place was really great, it was so beautiful and comfortable. The land was beautiful, the owners were very kind and the fresh eggs were wonderful. I would love to stay there again. A couple suggestions to the hosts, the place needs a deep cleaning. I know this is hard when many hired cleaners do not do a good job. All the dishes and everything in the kitchen was sticky. Before using the dishes I had to wash them first as many of them were also dirty. The edges in the bathroom floors need to be cleaned. The shower needs a replacement plastic curtain. After these small changes the place is perfect!

The property’s owners are extremely nice and they live next to the unit. The only thing is the futon couch was not comfortable to sit on. The bed though was super comfy. I love how clean it was and well stocked of things you need. My grandson love playing with the toys they had there for kids that was a nice touch.

Stayed here for a weekend Dec 2019. Clean and Cozy, apt enough for my family of four. Property for close to Shasta town, groceries, restaurants, bars are just couple of blocks away. Property provide unobstructed view of the Mt Shasta, awesome sight to catch in morning with a cup of coffee. Property has all amenities for weekend stay. if it has dishwasher and washing machine, I would love to come back for longer stay. Properties owners are absolute gem, clear instructions were provided just in time of the travel. When i vacated, I forgot to pack my laptop charger, Rob contacted me and offered to mail it to me. I really appreciate of them, going extra mile to comfort their customers.

Let me start with the property owners, Ron and his wife very nice and helpful people. Ron sent us directions on how to get to the farm which was accurate and very helpful. The rental was just beautiful, spacious and very clean. The location of the farm is in a nice quiet area that is just minutes away from downtown. Oh and behind the farm there is a stream and we could hear the water running it was so peaceful. You will love this place it is quiet and in a convenient area of Shasta! Oh Oh and the view! Mount Shasta right smack in front of you!! So awesome!!

The listing was everything as promised and more. Our stay was amazing! The grounds are beautiful and it was fun to hang out with the goats and chickens as well as pick delicious apples from the tree. The unit was inviting and the wood stove was even set up for us to use, which was perfect on a cold night. Waking up to a clear view of Mount Shasta right out the doors was a highlight as was star gazing from the porch at night. It was also close to town, which was perfect since we got a flat tire on the way up and we’re able to make it to the tire shop on our spare no problem. Would definitely recommend Ron’s place to stay.
