About this house rental
Lakefront on Castellon Drive
Hot Springs Village, AR
Conveniently located on Lake DeSoto, our home invites you with a breath taking view! From the moment that you walk inside you will feel at home. Outdoors the waterfall that cascades to the lake will mesmerize you.
Recently renovated, the house comfortably sleeps eight to ten in four bedrooms furnished with two king size beds, a California king size bed and a set of twin beds. A queen size sleeper sofa can also accommodate two. The house has three full bathrooms. Two were recently remodeled with large dual head walk-in showers.
The decks are huge and provide a commanding view of the backyard ponds, waterfalls, patios (with fire pit), boat dock and lake. You can cook in the kitchen or use the gas BBQ grill, but be sure to enjoy the view while you eat.
Bring your own boat, launch it at the nearby marina and tie up at the dock. Enjoy water sport from your boat or go swimming in the lake at the ‘beach’ on the left side of the dock. Steps into the water lead to a pea gravel bottom that is shallow and easy on the feet.
The house is located just three miles inside the main gate and right off of DeSoto Blvd, the main east-west road in the Village. Nearby are DeSoto golf course, DeSoto swimming pool, mini golf, tennis courts, kid’s recreation center and hiking trails. All the other golf courses are no more than a 20-minute drive away, and easy to find from DeSoto Blvd.
The house is equipped with all the amenities you would expect in a luxury home. It includes a washer/dryer, microwave, ceiling fans, big screen TV, four other TV’s, three VCR’s, three DVD players, stereo, cable TV and high speed Internet/WiFi. This is your home away from home. The house also comes with four kayaks, a pedal boat, life jackets and water toys/floats.
If you have a group that is too large for this house, see the listing for our house on San Mateo Place, VRBO #160563, which sleeps 6-8 people and is only a few steps away. Our third Lake DeSoto house has four bedrooms, four bathrooms and great lake views and access, VRBO #191874. We will do a package deal if you rent multiple houses! In the summer, June through August, we rent with a one week minimum, Saturday to Saturday.
We also have pontoon boats, aka party barge, for hire by our renters. Please inquire for details!

Lake is beautiful!! A lot of steps but not too bad if you take everything you need down to the lake. Driveway is steep so I recommend getting there before dark so you can see and back your vehicle in. We enjoyed our stay and it was plenty big enough for our crew of 8.

We wanted a place to relax and enjoy the lake, and this place was perfect!

Lots of phsical activity but fun

Very clean, beautiful view. Great accommodations. We were 10 people aged 75 to 5, and everyone enjoyed the stay.
Only negative--the driveway is a 45° angle and we flatlanders had a bit of a struggle, but that is mild compared to everything else the place had to offer.
4.9
We had a really good time. Had bumps in the road with issues with bed bugs on the lower level. Owner stepped up right away. We moved upstairs where there were no signs of bugs and continued our vacation.
4.9
The home was very nice. Only issue was the parking and steep driveway. We had my 88 year old Mother with us and it caused some minor hiccups. Overall was very relaxing and located close to everything we needed.
4.9
The backyard with timed waterfall was wonderful!

One of our party left a small air tag behind. The housekeeper found it, turned it over to the owner who notified me and then mailed it to me. Many would have just kept it, let alone go through the trouble and expense of packaging and mailing it.
4.9
Its a large home with enough room for your family to spread out. The backyard is the best part, even though it was chilly we couldn't resist sitting on the dock and playing in the water.

We recently stayed at this property and while the overall property was nice, there were disappointing aspects that we feel should have been communicated to us beforehand.
The biggest letdown was the restriction on the kayaks and pedal boat, which we were not informed about until we arrived. We specifically chose this property because it was one of the few with these water amenities. Had we known beforehand that they were off-limits, we would have likely selected different accommodations. It was frustrating to discover this upon arrival, and while we understand there may have been reasons for the restriction, clear communication beforehand would have been greatly appreciated.
Upon entering the property, we were greeted with a laundry basket filled with wet sheets on top of the dryer. This was not a pleasant sight, and it gave the impression that the property had not been properly prepared for our arrival.
We also had to make unexpected adjustments to our sleeping arrangements. We planned to use the sofa sleeper downstairs for some of our group, but upon pulling out the bed, we discovered mousetraps and droppings underneath. This was quite unsettling and forced us to rearrange our plans.
The backyard did offer a beautiful view of Lake Desoto, which was the highlight of the property. However, the disappointment of the restricted amenities and the uncleanliness overshadowed this aspect.
While the property itself had potential, the lack of communication left us disappointed.

Very enjoyable. Look forward to doing it again.

The place was clean and as described. The house did have a musty smell, but it went away fairly quickly. The owner was kind to check in on us and agree to a late check out, but responses did take a little time. We could only get one of the TVs to work, which was a little disappointing. Great view, but the driveway was STEEP and a little scary. Overall, we had a good time, which is all that really matters.

this property is the dream for a family vacation and the lake front view is just amazing, the access to the lake makes it unique, sure we are coming back in the summer

Too cold and windy to fish or enjoy water except for the beautiful view from the house. Bedrooms were so spacious; adults enjoyed the foosball table downstairs. One handicapped son had no problem accessing dining table, shower and living areas upstairs. All meals were prepared in the kitchen without difficulty. Overall excellent stay for us.

We loved our time at this beautiful location. The cabin was cozy and the property was just as advertised in the pics. My 2 younger kids (11 and 9) loved sleeping downstairs with a small living room, tv and foosball table and had a patio they could go out on. The kitchen was a good size for us to cook our thanksgiving meal. My wife also chooses places that have a fire pit Bc she loves sitting by a fire at night and this was the best we’ve used yet. It was an actual stone patio style pit with lots of sitting room. The owner, Cor, was easy to communicate with. The kids asked us to come back here again the second we left. 😊

I had 7 guys playing golf and the house was excellent. Everything worked, was clean and the whole experience was good.

We had a great time on our family vacation. There was plenty of room and we loved kayaking and sitting by the fire pit.

This is our second year bringing friends for a golf vacation weekend, first time staying at this home. Very spacious fir 3 couples, we had a great time and no problems.

Over all beautiful setting. We couldn't figure out how to adjust volume on the TV, owner was very responsive to questions, made sure we got in ok. For the price...great value

The house had everything we needed , from a crockpot, to kayaks . The swim area down the road was very nice .We Enjoyed learning to play pickle ball, and they had rental equipment on site . The mini golf, right down the road was fun . Eating on the deck and listening to the fountain running was a favorite . The beds were comfy and had plenty of pillows and covers. The driveway is very steep , but thankfully had a good place to pullover and park across the street for 2 or 3 vehicles . Overall, we enjoyed the stay very much .

We were very impressed with our accommodations. There were plenty of rooms so each family member had a bed to sleep on which were actually comfortable to sleep in. The kitchen was stocked with most of the cooking equipment (plates, silverware, utensils and pots/pans need to prepare food. Several rooms had been updated (kitchen, bathrooms). The best part was the beautiful waterfall that turned on in the evening and access to the lake with a dock to fish off of. The property had canoes, paddle boat and other water toys and equipment needed for a fun day on the lake.
Cor, the owner was responsive when messaged.
Being that it was a cabin on the lake, there were a lot of bugs and spiders built webs rather quickly. So be prepared to wipe away webs every morning when you step outside.
But I would highly recommend staying at this house as it was everything we expected in a lake cabin and we did have a very wonderful time with family the entire week. And it is only 30 minutes from the city of Hot Springs!

Came to Hot Springs for a family vaca with 2 teens, my spouse and my parents. We had a great time. The location of the property was wonderful and the views were beautiful from atop the deck! The house was the perfect size so we all had our own bathrooms and space to spread out. There were some maintenance issues that need to be addressed beyond basic “cleaning” though. Furnace filters, light bulbs, smoke alarm were just a few. . The waterfall was not working the majority of the time we were there and was fixed on Friday, that was kind of disappointing. The landscaping needed a lot of work (it appeared it had been let go for quite a while) and the life jackets, kayaks and paddle boat were all pretty rough and old. Half of the life jackets were ripped out and falling apart. We also had some water issues in the lower level within a closet. Idk what was going on there but the floor was wet and it was kind of musty smelling as the week went on. The lake is beautiful but small, so boating isn’t too exciting if you’re looking to ski or tube with kids. But it was nice and peaceful and well kept. All in all, we did have a nice stay and enjoyed the area. Just hoped for the money we spent, that some of those things would have been a little more taken care of within the property.

Second time staying here. It's perfect for our 7 person family plus grandma. Cor is easy to work with.

Wonderful place to stay, love the boat rental and the kayaks. Made a lot of memories and will be coming back again.
4.9
Great property for a family. Owner was easy to get in touch with and accommodating.

We will definitely return to stay here again! It is so peaceful and the view is so relaxing! I recommend it to a family vacation. It is very spacious and plenty of room for 10-12 people. Downstairs is perfect for the kids to have their own space. The owner was fantastic to work with. We even joked that if it ever is for sale we would buy it!!

This is one of the best pla es we have stay doing yearly vacation trips. The view was out this world and the neighborhood was so peaceful
4.9
The only thing we found was the couch mattress needs updated and the water fall wasn’t working.
4.9
The property was perfect for our stay. It was clean and big enough to accommodate our group. The view from the back balcony was awesome.
4.9
Great location. Comfortable and very relaxing home for Women’s Retreat in Hot Springs Village. Beautiful view
4.9
Loved the property but that driveway was a little rough. Would for sure recommend to someone!
4.9
Breathtaking view! Everything was amazing, Cor was very welcoming and made check in nice, simple and easy.
4.9
House was great. Very spacious. Beautiful lake views.
4.9
We had a bit of a rough start getting in to the gate, due to the holiday weekend. Had a small housekeeping issue, but the owner, rectified it.
***Please be aware the driveway is VERY steep and you will need a car that is not low to the ground to be able to get in and out ok.***
Aside from that, we had an amazing time at this amazing property. We loved the views and the balcony's and decks the house had. Taking coffee on the deck every morning was amazing. I would absolutely refer this property and property owner to others. Thank you for making our stay so enjoyable.

Loved the cascading stream through the middle of the property.
4.9
The back of the property offers a beautiful landscape and access to the lake. Overall relaxing. Owner was helpful and responded promptly.
4.9
Very good! We love the lake view and the big rooms! Every things are good! We will come back next time!
4.9
Cor was very easy to work with on issues that came up. Looking forward to renting again
4.9
We had a great stay! This house met all of our needs.

The area of Hot Springs was beautiful, but the Hot Springs Park was amazing. This home in the village park was exactly as posted and lends to plenty of room and very cozy. The back patio and landscape is better than the photos and really is a relaxing getaway. We spent two nights there in the middle of a long road trip and it was exactly what we needed...plenty of space and dining area for all 8 of us!
