About this house rental
This is a large home located directly across from a bird sanctuary and State wetlands. There are numerous walking paths through the wetlands to a less populated beach. This could be the perfect place to get away, be close to all the Cape May Beaches, yet easy to practice social distancing.
This beach house is named “SeaBreeze” because, at any given season, you will feel the breeze of the sea. Seabreeze faces the ocean and the natural bird sanctuary with unobstructed views of both. The view of the ocean is from the third floor and the view of the lighthouse is from the second and third floor. The real treat however is the sunset … Seabreeze is on Sunset Blvd and this street leads to Sunset Beach, where it is said that the sunset is one of the most beautiful sunsets in the world. Prior to the sun setting, people come from all over the island to see the sunset at Sunset Beach. We actually don’t move, we sit on the decks, watching the sunset and contemplating life.
SeaBreeze has four bedrooms, two En-Suites, on the third floor with a deck and the first floor. There are two other bedrooms on the second floor. SeaBreeze has two common areas, the living, dining room and kitchen on the second floor; and a family room (which has a queen pull-out couch) and powder room on the first floor. There are two large decks and one large porch. Other amenities are: three flat screen TVs; Wi-Fi; Ping-Pong table in the garage; two grills (gas and charcoal) and a beautiful garden.
Cape May has five beach areas: Cape May (requires tags); Cape May Pointe (requires beach tags); Cape May Pointe State Park (free); Sunset Beach (free) and Higbee Beach (free). All are minutes away from SeaBreeze. Cape May Beach is in town and less than a mile walking distance from SeaBreeze. Sunset Beach is at the tip of the Island and visitors come to watch the sunset. Seabreeze overlooks Cape May Point State Park, its beach and bird sanctuary. The Cape May Pointe State Park (over 11,000 acres) is the home of the Cape May National Wildlife Refuge. It is made up of beach, dunes, freshwater wetlands and ponds and forest trails. Higbee Beach is a one and one half mile stretch at the tip of the island. It draws people passionate about bird watching, hunting for Cape May diamonds, taking dogs for a run, fishing and hunting. Cape May Pointe beaches are a part of a residential area where residents bring their little red wagons to the beach every day and pitch beach umbrellas in secluded spots near the dunes ... away from the crowd.
Ride your bike to Sunset beach or into town. Or sit in the rockers on the porch and feel the breeze. Cape May has so much to offer throughout the year. Soak up the spring, summer or fall sun on some of the most beautiful white sand beaches. Downtown Cape May boasts some of the finest eating and drinking establishments in New Jersey. There are also fascinating specialty shops to browse through. And let’s not forget to rent a surrey or golf cart and take the family for a ride around town to see some of the beautiful victorian homes in town and along the ocean. Cape May is a resort for all seasons.

This house was perfect - close enough to town and beach that we could bike or walk. WE especially liked being able to bike to Sunset Beach in the evening.
The house was so well designed that we all felt together for meals and games and had time on different levels so that those who woke or early or stayed up late had no worry about interrupting the sleep of others. The house has very pretty decor and lovely paintings throughout.
The host provided helpful hints for enjoying the week even more.
We are very appreciative of being able to stay in this lovely house.

Scheryl's rental is very large and has great amenities. The location is convenient to town or beaches, especially via bike. The driveway is also very large and can accommodate at least 4 cars.

With reviews giving this an “exceptional” rating, we were disappointed. We’re aware the shore is hard on properties, but the combination of maintenance/safety/cleanliness issues made for a very uncomfortable week (rotted wood on stairs & door/window frames, tape repairs on tiles & screens, inoperable sliders, exposed electrical outlets, worn, fraying, and multilayered carpet even on stairs, slick tile floors, sticky wood surfaces everywhere, grime on walls, trim, kitchen cabinets, a swarm of ants around the inside master slider). Perhaps opting to run the A/C, as the owner advised, over enjoying the plentiful seabreeze would have decreased the stickiness of the surfaces but it created new and more extreme discomforts as the 1st floor became unbearably cold while the 3rd floor remained uncomfortably warm. We opted for the fresh seabreeze, given that the temperature was in the seventies. We’re accustomed to rustic but proper outdoor showers at the shore, with plumbed hot water lines and walls. This was a hose connected to a shower head surrounded by a curtain. It’s really a rinse off station. The owner was very reasonable and addressed what she could on the spot but many of the concerns were not things that could not be fixed while the property was occupied. On the plus side, the home was spacious and accommodated our large group for sleeping. Hanging together was a little more difficult as seating in the common area was limited.

This large beach house made staying at the shore with 6 adults and 1 toddler very comfortable. We all enjoyed relaxing in the main living room which had beautiful views, lots of natural light, and a relaxing atmosphere. We had no issues with the home or contacting the host. We were happily surprised to see extra chairs and boogie boards, an outdoor shower to rinse off sand, and a gas grill all ready to go for us. We had a great time!

My family and I make this trip every year and each summer it sets us up for such a beautiful week. The house is in great condition, very clean, and the location is wonderful in relation to the beach, downtown, boardwalk, and other day trips. Scheryl is a fantastic host and I look forward to coming back next year.

We had a fantastic week at the beach and loved our home away from home at Cape May. The home is clean, tidy, and met all our needs. The patio off the kitchen is perfect for sipping coffee or hanging out after dinner. We would love to return to Cape May.

A great time at a great property. Great layout for family time both inside and outside on deck. Great location given proximity to town where there are fantastic restaurants, shopping, ice cream places, mini golf and more. Highly recommend this property and this owner who was wonderful to work with, very responsible and accommodating.

Family Vacation to West Cape May & Cape May Point Beach
Our Family has Vacationed a total of four summers; with each experience out performing the last. The Owner Scheryl along with Robert were very attentive with excellent hospitality. It's usually very difficult to accommodate large groups of people for sleeping & dining but our 10 family members had no problems & everyone enjoyed their vacation.

Absolutely wonderful experience. Would stay again.
The home was well furnished, so many houses are nice but the owners seems afraid to provide comfortable or plentiful furnishings. Not the case here! In fact I feel the home offered more than was described. In the way of kitchenwares, sleeping arrangements, beach chairs, games, throws ect. It was well stocked with everything you needed. Kudos to you. If there is any suggestions I could make, I would offer baby gates. The baskets EVERYWHERE were beautiful and the rugs I LOVED! Unfortunately they shed SO bad, we were all constantly covered in fibers so bring lint brushes. BUT that didn’t not take away for the pleasant home. The frig wasn’t real clean by the last guests. And there were always such beautiful breezes we preferred opening doors and windows which were really dusty and could have used attention. But again these were so minor nothing took away from the lovely home and wonderful stay. Thank you hope to be back next year!

We stayed at the house for a week in October and had a great time.
The house is large and clean with a large driveway for easy parking. The host was very nice and helpful. For example, the battery had worn out on the igniter for the outdoor grill, and she immediately put in place a plan to have someone stop by to install a new one. We appreciated that and could tell she was always going to be available if anything came up.
We loved the location since we were in town for birding, and the house is very close to The Meadows (one of the very best birding spots in town) and the Hawk Watch at the lighthouse. It’s not walkable to town so people who want to stay right in the heart of Cape May might want to think about the location, but again it worked well for us.
The neighbors on all sides were silent all week. There is a bit of street noise for those who are sensitive to that kind of thing, but it didn’t bother us. In fact we ate outside on the deck most evenings.
The cost seemed reasonable to us. It can be a bit pricey for a couple, but there is a lot of space and bedrooms, so for a slightly larger group it seems like a cost-effective way to stay in Cape May.
Overall we would strongly recommend the house, and again appreciated the host’s availability for any issues or communication needs. We hope to return on a future trip to Cape May.

Great sunsets, locations, and home
Had a fantastic time here with family. Really easy drive or walk to many places in Cape May while avoiding the busy "down town" traffic. Bike rental was <5 min walk away and simply needed to cross the street to get to the nature preserve. Communicating with Scheryl was very easy and she responded almost instantaneously via VRBO. I will definitely consider staying at this same house with my family in the future!

House is fantastic - plenty of room inside and outside. Close to the beach, great restaurants, mini golf and other activities. We were two families with four adults and kids ranging from 5-9 and the house was perfect for our needs.

Great house for a large family. Close to downtown, beaches and the lighthouse but you can’t walk to any of them, need to drive. Tons of parking onsite. Scheryl was great to work with and very responsive. The house really needs a deep cleaning.

Wonderful Stay
Seabreeze on Sunset is everything as advertised. The home upon arrival was immaculate. The bedrooms were perfectly sized for our families, enough room for both adults and kids. All of the decks are a great place to eat and relax early in the morning or in the evening when the sun goes down. The downtown is a stones throw away for quick access to any of the great eateries and of course the beaches. The host was gracious and always in touch incase we had any issues. House was loaded with tons of supplies, games, and cooking appliances above and beyond what was needed. Hope to make this a yearly trip !

The house was great and clean, but was located too far from downtown and beach, my wife and I are both in our 70's and had to drive everywhere, could not walk as we did in the past when rented nearer to center of town..

My sister and I brought our 88-year-old parents and our teens and twenty-somethings to stay in Cape May for the first time. Seabreeze on Sunset offered the perfect accommodation with comfortable beds, lots of indoor and outdoor seating, a well-stocked kitchen and easy access to town and the lighthouse. Loved being near the estuary. Only downside is the street noise as it is on a main road. Would stay again! Thank you!
