We loved staying here. Clean, cozy and comfortable. The owners were kinda and responsive. Patio with a beautiful view for dinner or morning coffee. So close to town - loved not having to drive while we stayed here. Highly recommend!

The location was close to town and the Stanley and the accommodation was nice. We didn’t use the hot tub, but the deck is beautiful. I didn’t realize we were so close to a main road. I also didn’t realize that checkout is 10 AM and there were a lot of things to do to check out (start a load of laundry, etc)
Although we enjoyed our stay, I’m not sure it was the best bang for our buck, but it’s prime time in Estes Park.

The property was exactly like the description
It’s within walking distance of everything and very close to the park entrance
Everything worked I would definitely stay here again

My family comes to Rocky Mountain National Park fairly regularly (every year or two), and this is my favorite of the houses we’ve stayed in. The main floor master was perfect for my elderly parents. The kitchen was well-appointed. Everything was super clean. I was worried about being so close to downtown, but that was just a bonus—we had no noise, and the view with the park across the street was spectacular. One evening, we looked out from the porch to see some 18 elk in the park. Magnificent.

Our family had an amazing first time in Estes Park. Elk cabin is located a block from downtown shops but still has the feel of being outside of town. We enjoyed seeing all of the elk across the street and several in the driveway every day. After a long day of hiking, the hot tub was great for the sore muscles. There was plenty of room for us to spread out. Besides my husband and myself, we traveled with our kids ages 20, 17, and 16. We highly recommend staying at the Elk Cabin due to location, cleanliness, and the views. We can’t wait to comeback!

We really enjoyed our stay at Elk Cabin in Estes Park. The location is perfect, walking distance to town. The Safeway grocery store is a short drive (3-5 min.) It’s also close to the Historic Stanley Hotel. And most importantly very convenient to Rocky Mountain National Park. Elk Cabin is exactly as pictured but even better in person. It is very cozy and feels like home. Beds were comfortable, and we enjoyed the hot tub at night. Full size washer and dryer was a nice benefit too. We had 3 young adults with us and it was nice to have the basement area for them to hang out. Brent and Deb’s communications were very helpful and thorough! We would stay here again, don’t hesitate to book Elk Cabin!

This home was the perfect retreat after a week of work in Denver. At night, it's dark enough to see thousands of stars and in the morning, a coffee on the deck, while listening to the creek across the street was serene. One evening, there were elk just meandering over there. It's a short trek to food, shopping, the Stanley Hotel and hiking trails. A short drive to the Rocky Mountain National Park and many other sights.
Home was stocked with plenty of essentials, a grill, relaxing hot tub and a great binder full of how to's on everything in the home, places to visit, eat and drink.
Be warned, must places close by 10pm for food and drinks, so if you're out in the parks late, have snacks back at home or check out Lonigans, as they are open a little later, had great food and drinks but it does get loud on karaThis home was the perfect retreat after a week of work in Denver. The home was stocked with plenty of essentoke night, which was also a lot of fun to listen to (most of the time...)
Overall, this place will calm your mind and soul as you take in the complete beauty of Estes Park and we would stay again in a heartbeat.

Property was perfect for our family of 6! They had everything we needed and it was a short walk town and to the Stanley Hotel.

Nice, clean place to stay with hot tub and walking distance to downtown and plenty of room in the 3 bedrooms and living areas. Only thing that was unexpected from the listing was that the back patio hot tub was very near a busy street so not a lot of privacy but blocked by a fence so that made it better. Working fireplace upstairs made it cozy and had everything we needed for a long weekend.

Perfect spot for our family. Walking distance to town, great views, stocked kitchen, hot tub, two parking spots. Nothing not to like. Loved our stay!!

Great location and very cozy. Was a perfect place to return to after hiking. Hot tub was amazing!

So cozy and close to everything. We were there for an even at The Stanley. It was perfect. The heat was a little wonky and kept climbing to 72 which made the bedrooms a little too toasty. But we made it work. We will definitely book this place again.

We loved our stay at this spacious cabin within walking distance of downtown Estes. The property is modern with a rustic cabin feel. Plenty of space on rwo levels for family and friends. Private hot tub was wonderful!

This cabin was the perfect location for our post-holiday getaway! Walk to Main Street, hikes just a short drive away. The hot tub was awesome! Definitely would stay here again.

The Elk Cabin meet all the needs of our family of 5 adults and 3 teens during our 7 day stay in Estes Park. The location was fantastic. An easy walk to downtown stores and restaurants and a grocery store and other conveniences within a 5 minute drive. The accommodations were clean and the furnishings including the beds were comfortable. The internet worked well. We had some difficulty getting with one of the tv's to work but it worked great once we figured out the remotes were in the wrong room. I called the owner, Brett about the tv when it didn't work and he responded immediately. The kitchen was well stocked and there were some supplies to start us out. The deck was nice and the grill and hot tub worked. I would highly recommend the Elk Cabin for a visit to Estes Park.

Our family of 6 stayed here and we were very comfortable! The house is located in a great location near but not too close to the Main Street in Estes Park. Brent was very responsive, also! I appreciate how well he prepared the house ahead of our visit.

We enjoyed our stay at this property. It was an easy walk to shopping and restaurants downtown. The property was just what we needed for our family getaway and the hot tub was a nice addition.

The cabin was in a great location if you want to be close to town, and it was everything it was advertised to be. We had an issue getting into the cabin initially, but we contacted Brent, and he was able to immediately reset the lock so that we could get inside. We would definitely stay there again if we go back to EP

Great spot for a week to enjoy the town and RMNP. And thanks to our host, we were prepared for the extra RMNP timed entry hoops! Lovely getaway!

The cabin is beautiful with everything that one would need. Great to location with ability to walk to downtown Estes and quick drive to grocery and hardware store.

As other guests have noted, this property is well equipped, a short walk to downtown Estes Park, and tastefully decorated. Without the rodent problem we encountered, this would be a 5* review.
However, when we arrived, there were mouse traps in most rooms. During our first few days there, we found mouse droppings in nearly every room. When we notified the owner, he told us a prior guest had his/her candy eaten by mice. So this was obviously a well-known problem.
The owner sent an exterminator out the following day, and he sealed some entry points and placed his company’s traps in the home.
Besides the daily cleaning we had to do, especially in the kitchen, the rodent droppings were especially concerning to us because we had a crawling nine-month-old staying with us. The owner told us to keep the baby in the pack-and-play if we were concerned about him ingesting the droppings. Putting our grandchild in a pen didn’t sit well with us considering how much we paid to rent the house. Our daughter was also stressed because numerous times she had to clean mouse droppings from the nightstand in her baby’s bedroom.
The owner did offer to refund our cleaning fee because we were helpful to the exterminator…not nearly enough remuneration to offset the unsanitary conditions.

Great location. Just a couple of blocks from main downtown fun and food. Property was as described. Overall very nice but could use a good deep cleaning. Perfect for our family. Would definitely stay here again.

Beautiful property close to everything. Furnishings were nice and the kitchen was well equipped. Thank you for a great experience!

The cabin had plenty of room for our family of 6 (4 kids aged 5 to 10). Excellent location allowed us to walk to town for dinner each evening. We plan to return!

Beautiful home in great location. Close proximity to shops, restaurants and RMNP. The house is furnished well and the hot tub was awesome. Wonderful small park with trails and stream across from property. I would definitely rent again!

I can’t imagine a better place to stay! The cabin itself is spacious, modern, clean, and comfortable. Sit on the deck and watch the elks frolic in the beautiful park across the street. The location was incredible - walk to shopping, walking trails, restaurants, The Stanley, and a short drive to RMNP entrance. Such a special place!

The Elk Cabin is the perfect place for a family to stay, if not two small families. The open concept on the main level with the large windows overlooking the Stanley hotel and the mountains make for a great place to watch the sun rise. There is more than enough lounge seating for all on both levels as well as bedding (very comfortable at that)! We enjoyed the hot tub out back a few times as well. The proximity to town is second to none making trips to local shops, grocery store, etc. a painless experience. Brent was also quick to respond when we had a brief hiccup with the door lock - his housekeeper was able to assist within minutes and the problem was resolved in short order. It was a great experience and we'll definitely consider coming back!

Home is located a half block from Bond Zapatista. Home was great in all ways. We did not get to use the hot tub but it looked really inviting. We enjoyed the open layout, private bedrooms, and the deer passing through the yard. We would definitely stay here again.

This cabin was in a great location! So close to activities and the main street of town. You can walk to downtown too! Many places to eat nearby. Cabin was very clean and had all the comforts of home. Brent was very prompt and responsive to any/all texts messages. We did the Wildside tour of the Rocky Mountain National Park and would highly recommend! It was located right down the street as well. (This was truly the highlight of our stay). The fireplace was so nice and provided perfect warmth and ambiance. The only con about the fireplace would be that it is on a 30 min. timer and you have to keep getting up to put it back on----but understandable from a safety and cost perspective. Truly lots of space in this cabin. A huge walk in closet in the master was a plus. The deer seem to visit this area frequently and were even in the front yard one day. The only item we noticed which didn't affect us since we mainly stayed on the second floor was the only thermostat located on the second floor didn't really control the downstairs temp. We were there during a very cold time and the downstairs area was very cold. We were however very comfortable upstairs where we stayed so it was never an issue for us.
We really enjoyed our stay here and all this cabin had to offer and the owners did a fabulous job with a book of all the details that one would need to know!

We had the best time at Elk Cabin. Our original plans were to spend the week after Christmas at Disneyland. Last minute our flights were canceled. We love Estes Park and it is within driving distance so we thought we would take our chances on booking a vacation property. We are so glad we did! The views at Elk Cabin were incredible, hot tub was relaxing, we slept great in comfy beds, and had everything we needed. We will definitely be staying here again. Thank you for the hospitality!
