The kids loved the decorations and the novelty of sleeping on a tatami floor. The owner had a wonderful pdf guide which helped us with planning our trip and finding everything. There were many amenities in stock so we could pack lighter on the train
We discovered sleeping on tatami wasn't for us, but were glad to try it out. Sadly the breakfast spot was closed for the week so we didn't get to try it out.

Great location! I really liked the theme, and the sleeping room was large enough to accompany my group of 6 full grown men, very impressive. It was truly like living together in Yokohama.
Could use a deep cleaning in the bathroom/washer area…

The location was good. It was close to Yokohama station and there was a convenience store close by.
It is an old fashioned Japanese style house, so the ceiling is extremely low and you can hear every movement from the upstairs. We couldn’t find the shower/bath which was on the balcony with a direct access from the living area. It was unique but I would not say it was comfortable.

Quaint and traditional. Good communication
Some things were confusing, but we figured it out

It was a novel experience. Although things seemed a little basic, everything worked as it should and there was a powerful shower.
It was quite noisy, as it is near warehouses. The walls are very thin so you can hear neighbours.

The location was pretty good, walking distance from the station and some touristic attractions. The place is a good example of an old Japanese dwelling, so if you like traditional atmosphere, not in the sense of a fancy ryokan but with a grandma’s place feeling, you’ll enjoy it.
Also, the host took care of the details such as amenities and stuff.
Since it’s and old place by the canals, it’s a bit humid and cold, so maybe in winter is not the most cozy place. Also, it’s beside the central market, so get ready for a bit of traffic noise. Not a big deal for me, though.

I stayed at this cozy house for 5 days in the summer with my children. It had everything we needed. There was a smart TV with all your favorite streaming services. Everything for cooking, washing, and cleaning. It even had a pocket wifi you could take with you everywhere on your travels. I never met the owner but they communicated by email efficiently and professionally. Location was also good for me. I'm a big walker and you could walk to most of Yokohama's main attractions in an hour or so. If you don't want to walk that far, the nearest station was a 15 min walk.
I'm a big tall man so I hit my head on the doorways several times. However the owners must have anticipated this for all the short areas were padded so it didn't hurt. So if your over 6 feet tall or 183 cm, watch your head.

The host replied to messages very quickly and provided helpful information throughout.
Kids loved the ninja-themed place and it was generally clean and relatively spacious (for Japan and the price).
The location suited our needs pretty well and if we'd had time to stay and extra day, we'd have been more than happy to do so.
Aircon with timers were very helpful as we could set it to just before we got back on one night.
The place was generally clean and organised.
Great to provide pocket WiFi
The aircon filters were covered in dust and the aircon took extra time to warm up.
We weren't able to use the bath apparently, but only shower inside the tub. With the bathtub outside the main structure of the building, this meant it was pretty cold going in/out, especially challenging with young kids.
The latch on the rear sliding door needs fixing to help ensure security or at least peace of mind.
The factory noise from next door continued even into the middle of the night.

Maybe it was because we’re accustomed to comfy mattresses in the U.K..... but we were struggling to sleep on the floor. The sofa bed was Not comfortable.
Good, safe location.

The room is really next to the river...
When I arrived there the room was not cleaned. And there is no hand-wrriten receipt...
