Located on the north end of town, this home is an easy walk from the restaurants and shops that South Padre Island has to offer. Heading out the front door, the walk to the ocean is less than a quarter mile. Decorated in an elegant and up-to-date fashion, the chateau welcomes guests who appreciate the finer things in life. The open living spaces encourage socialization and camaraderie, while allowing for individual simultaneous uses of the space. Sofas and chairs set up around a little table are overlooked by a flatscreen TV, complete with a DVD player. If none of the titles in the included DVD library appeal, flip through the cable channels for your favorite show. If you want to make sure you're not missing out on any news, use the wireless Internet to keep abreast of happenings in the wider world. Enjoyed being at close proximity to the beach access and gas station. The entry to the beach house was tight along the side of the house and a few stairs to climb up. Just a heads up, in case you need to carry up ice chest and luggage. We had an issue with the dryer that is located in the garage, but Vacasa squared it away by having a technician come out within a day. The pool was nice and warm. It's a cozy spot overall!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! Just a block from the beach was perfect! The backyard with pool was great. The pool isn’t heated so was a little too cool for me but it was perfect to sit by the pool enjoying the sun! Backyard was also great for our dog. We had planned on another couple joining us for part of the time but didn’t work out so had way more beds than we needed but we really enjoyed having all the space of the house!
I would recommend the Aires Chateau!

The outside of the home needs a bit of TLC but a lot of homes in the area are in the same condition. The inside was very nice and the beds were super comfy!

We loved the home!! it was clean and very relaxing to stay there. It was very close to beach. We all slept well because the beds were comfortable. Loved the loft. It was so spacious. Our son enjoyed spending the night in big room. We enjoyed sitting by pool at night. It was very relaxing. The view from masterbed room was great. The two dogs next door were great. No barking at night. The only problem we had was not being able open garage to wash clothes. Someone came and opened right away. No soap was left for dishwasher so we could not wash dishes. We washed many by hand. Dont mind. i recommend this cozy house for a great vacation!!

Checking in was fast and easy. When we arrived a staff member from property management informed us the pool had ussues and we could not use it that night. We had an evening planned around the pool and had to make alternate plans. So the next day we thought we would be able to use it but the chemicals were too strong to enjoy the pool again. My family and I were very disappointed, especially my grandson. There were also issues with the doorknob to the main restroom locking you in. Not a good sound if using the bathroom at night, giggling the doirknob. The stove and microwave had dried food stains that weren't cleaned properly. I've asked for a discount due to the issues but its only been 24 hours. I would not recommend this house.

The home was nice and cozy. Me and my family enjoyed it! Loved that it was so close to the corner store and beach. We also enjoyed the pool. It could of been a little more cleaner but it didn’t bother us. Would definitely book again 👍

Loved the whole house, the pool and the location.
Exterior needs work and the garage/patio does have signs of wear and tear but honestly it doesn’t affect the experience at all.

I am extremely disappointed in our stay during the 4th of July. We experienced roaches, loose shower doors, deck boards that caused my kids to trip up & down the steps, bedroom doors that would close and were jammed. This is coupled with maggots in the trash cans and exterior doors that do not lock correctly.
For the amount of money I paid, I am extremely disappointed and hope VACASA will step up. We spent our holiday vacation in a underwhelming home that I am surprised VACASA would allow to be listed.

Very disappointed in the condition of the property. House is run down, needs maintenance, doors don’t close, locks didn’t work. Property management doesn’t answer their phone. What is pictured and what you see when you get there are two different things.

House is old and in dire need of upgrades and basic repairs. Do not fall for the nice pictures shown in the listing. What they don't show you is the dirty old pool, the grease stained cool deck by the pool, the scratched walls, the broken lampshades, the unkept lawn and neglected landscaping, the wobbly and dangerous wooden stairwells, the busted old stove, the lack of chairs to sit outside!!!! There was four old plastic Adirondack chairs that were so hot and very uncomfortable. They don't show you the tiny metal rusty table that fits service for two if your lucky. They leave out the busted poolside umbrella that falls with the slightest of breezes. Stay somewhere else. PLEASE. My family spent well over 3K to stay here. We are not wealthy so we watch our vacation dollars. After i expressed my disappointment, nobody lifted a finger to make our vacation better. They did send 2 men to mow the lawn with loud mowers, weedeaters and blower to add that special touch of loud noise for an hour that everyone on vacation so much desires!!!

Conditioner did not work on second floor, but it was new installed next day.
The only uncomfort, neighbors had three dogs, they kept them outside all day long and they were barking a lot.

This is a great place to stay. Pool is amazing. Very close to everything. The a/c in the loft does not work well and it gets too hot to be up there. We were there in May. I couldnt imagine what the summer months are. The 4 slice toaster needs replaced. Only 1 side works.

Upon arrival, we walked into a flooded walkway, so all ten people staying at home had soaked feet and pants.
The house has central ac, but it doesn't cool the house down enough so they put in window units in bottom and top floor that still didn't do the job. House was hot & humid.
On our way down to pool that eve, the back porch step came loose and almost stepped on an exposed nail.
We get to the pool and the pool is dirty (it did rain the day before). Stayed dirty the entire trip.
Sitting outside poolside and we watch giant rats go in and out of BBQ grill, so we could not use at all...yuck!
One outside closet had major rat droppings and rat traps, so property manager knows there is a rat problem. I have pictures of this!
It is waking distance to beach, but the beach area is not the best area on the Island.
Messaged property manager first day about the walkway flooding and no response. Had to get our feet soaked the whole time we were there. Messaged property manager after the trip about possible credit and I was told "Sorry for the inconvenience".

Neighborhood and house are ideal in every way. Attractive. Safe. Comfortable. We had a wonderful time. We felt so at home. Bathrooms were new and spotless. Bed in mast bedroom very comfortable. Didn't use other bed. Kitchen so we'll stocked! I cooked and baked every day and enjoyed every minute. House and appliances could use some updating but we're functional and fine for us. Yard and pool = Fantastic! Only negative thing was neighbors barking dogs. Three dogs they would let out on their upstairs deck off and in all day and would just bark and bark.

This adorable cottage is well kept and stocked with everything you need for your stay on the island. I wish the weather was better during our stay so we could have used the gorgeous pool! The gentleman who takes care of the property is fantastic! I would love to stay here again.

This house is actually nicer than the pictures! It was comfortable and had everything we needed to rest and relax. We spent much time at the ocean and appreciated how close it was, the outside shower, and the basement to keep all the beach stuff. The washer and dryer was really helpful as well and the children loved the pool. I'd highly recommend this rental!

Home was perfect despite a few problems. Pool vertical cloudy. Outdoor access from master bedroom questionable with loose door handle. Guardrail loose entering main house. Unable to get into garage to use washer and dryer due to door locked from inside, the code worked but door wouldn't work.

If you are looking for a house that is close to the beach (1/2 block away) with a private pool, I would recommend this house. The pictures are a bit deceiving as I believe they were most likely taken after the porch was newly built and the house had a fresh coat of paint. I would also warn anyone going up and down the stairs not to grab the railing as it is indefinite need of repair. The house is equipped with Central AC downstairs, but if you plan on staying in the loft you must rely on the window unit that is there. When we arrived we did have to clean that out as it was covered with mold on the inside, but after it was clean it ran fine and kept us cool. We had an issue with a dishwasher being clogged and after I called the management company they had someone there within the hour to fix it. Being that we spent most of the time at the beach, in the pool, or taking in the sites, the house itself was fine for basically sleeping and the occasion rest stop. A good time was had by all!

We are frequent travelers and this was been the worst experience! We were told it was handicap via phone by vacasa a month before arriving.within 5min of getting to property as it was not. Long story short they said they were going to refund us all they have only done half because I had 4 littles with me and everything else was booked. Found one hotel room I was able to put handicap person in late that night. The property is falling apart the rails where torn up the deck was to weak for kids to play on. The garage doors are falling off. The beding had either hard water spots or piss stains. There was standing water right next to electrical outlet that was being used by the pool. I took photos and still I getting a run around about a full refund. I have made sure to be calm and kind when calling vacasa and I keep getting hung up on. We did not ask for additional refund for extra hotel room or the gas we paid there and back. We just asked they do the right thing. Do not stay here or other vacasa properties.

The location was great, close to the beach, a bar and restaurant, great coffee shop, and a gas station. The outside is a little worn and may need to be renovated soon, for example one of the garage doors was unusable and the deck was a little rough.
We had an issue with the electricity the first day we were there and had to wait for an electrician to come out. This was a setback to our plans for that day but the property manager and the electrician were quick to respond and quick to fix the issue.
There was quite a bit of dust on a lot of the surfaces and the washer and dryer did not look usable and were rusted.
They did offer basic essentials like soaps and shampoos and towels which was nice.
Heads up the listings states up to 10 guests but I did not see the sleeper sofa.

The house was very clean and very close to the beach access. The swimming pool was clean and well maintained. The only negative thing I can mention is that the hand rails on the outside stairs seemed a little unstable. This can be a concern for the elderly, handicapped or anyone that needs to have support while climbing up stairs.
