We had a group of 8 in very hot weather. The house was big enough to give everyone space, and the location cannot be beat for convenience to downtown. We brought our own chairs since reviews and photos showed there wasn’t any deck furniture, but we were surprised that there were several deck chairs to enjoy once the weather cooled off. There are 4 AC window units, and combined with several large fans, everyone stayed comfortable despite 100 + degree heat. I would return!!!

Our adult kids from 3 different states met us at the house for a wedding of dear friends. We didn’t spend much time in the house, but loved the proximity to everything in Hood River, and it held the 4 couples nicely. Cute and comfy, with our only disappointment that our phone chargers didn’t stay plugged into the loose older outlets in bedrooms, so hadn’t noticed our phones weren’t charging.

This house is in the perfect location to enjoy Hood River. Overall, it was comfortable and had what we needed. Unfortunately one of the 4 bedrooms didn't have A/C and during a heat wave that was a problem for the poor 4th couple that took that room. Also, as previously mentioned by another reviewer, it's crazy that only the lock on the backdoor has the code and there's no way to come in and out of the front door without leaving it unlocked. The walk out the back, down the stairs, and around the block is just silly when you could walk right out to Oak St. It's also too bad that they don't have the ping pong table or other table games anymore. That would have made the stay more fun and seems like there's plenty of room in the basement to set those up. Nonetheless, we enjoyed our stay and would rent again for the location.

This is the second time I have stayed at the Azusa house, and I love the fact that it is walking distance to everything in town.
4.7
We loved the location as well as the size of the house which accommodated 5 women easily The hot tub worked well.
4.7
All really great. Just a couple of suggestions. Downstairs shower has low water pressure and some electrical plugs need to be updated. Road noise is an issue but we did fine with it. Carpet and linoleum could be updated for a nicer experience. All in all we would definitely stay there again.

My management team and I stayed in this home while in Hood River for a conference that was located across town. Loved the location on the west end on the main strip in quiet area of town within easy walking distance to all of the great shops and restaurants. House was clean and had plenty of room for us all to spread out when needed and come together for our discussions. This is a charming older home with lots of character that has been reinvested in. Kitchen and bathrooms were well equipped with everything we needed. The carpet was the only thing that could use a deep clean or replacement-not a deal breaker for us though. We all agreed we would bring our families back and stay in this home. Excellent customer service and communication from Vacasa with easy check-in/check out both times I have booked with them. Highly recommend this home for groups or families looking to enjoy the beautiful Hood River area!

Great rental with location and amenities. Loved that we could get in a few hours early because we'd just gotten into town so it was perfect. Only recommendations would be to have some deck chairs. The living room was great with so many comfortable chairs. Plenty of space and large bedrooms plus a little office if you need to do some work. Kitchen was well stocked with everything needed. Loved having the BBQ on the covered deck option. Location to walk a few blocks into town was perfect, but you do have road noise being on Oak street.
4.7
The house had plenty of space for sleeping, eating and lounging. Quirky layout common in older homes, I enjoyed the charm. The owner has thoughtfully provided air conditioning units in most rooms. There is some road noise from south on Oak street, and the occasional train from the north, so bring ear plugs.

This is a great house. Spacious, clean, and walking distance to downtown Hood River. Plenty of room for everyone, we would definitely stay here again. Large, comfy beds. There were comments about funky configuration, but all bedrooms can be accessed without entering another room if master is access through office. Nice views from master. There are four window AC units that kept the house at a reasonable temp during the hot days. We loved exploring the fruit loop with our littles. Great area!

If you aren’t looking for anything fancy but want to be close to downtown hood river, this is the perfect house! We brought our bikes and used them as transpiration for the weekend. It was super fun!
4.7
The house overall was ok. Kinda gross carpet & funky layout. The one thing I wasn’t expecting was to have to deal with cockroaches and stink bugs crawling everywhere. We found about 10 in the living room, a couple in the kitchen and even one in the downstairs bathroom. Additionally the hot tub had a layer of skum that had built up in one corner. When we notified Vacasa, they didn’t offer any compensation for having to deal with that grossness. It was a very disappointing experience. I would not recommend anyone stay here.

We had a lovely stay in Hood River! The house was easy to find, quick check-in and out process, it had everything we needed, walking distance to downtown close to restaurants, breweries, and coffee shops. I would definitely recommend this house for future trips.

Spacious rooms and very relaxed furnishings. We had some local friends over for dinner and had plenty of room to cook and entertain comfortably. Very enjoyable.

My extended family visited this area for my son's wedding. My family of 4 stayed at this property with my brother's family of 4. Another family rental property was located only blocks away. The area was absolutely beautiful and the property was perfect for gathering and visiting. The neighborhood was very walkable and the property manager was very efficient about check in and check out processes. The only thing I didn't love was that there was only one house key so it had to remain in the lockbox (there were 8 of us). The lockbox was pretty antiquated so it was a bit of a nuisance. An amazing place though!

It was just myself and my granddaughter (celebrating her 21st birthday!). This house is better suited for an entire family! We loved the jacuzzi most of all, but it was cold getting to and fro. Bring blankets!
4.7
This house worked well for the 7 of us. Plenty of beds, clean. Only complaint is kitchen lacked some basic supplies, like a working can opener and large baking dish. Also, the stairs to get to door could use a grippy runner, felt a bit dangerous in rainy weather

This house is a big house in a great location. Easy walking to downtown Hood River. However, there are some oddities. The upstairs bathroom, while spacious, does not have a functioning shower. All the rooms with the larger beds are connected. The room we slept in, you could only get to by going through another room. The only functioning shower was in a small bathroom (powder sized) downstairs through the kitchen by the back door. There just aren’t many private spaces in this house if you are planning on sharing it with another family. I really liked that it was right on Oak St., but the road noise is loud. And the keys that are in the lock box do not fit the front door which is on Oak St., so you can use the door, but you can’t lock up the house from there. So you have to use the back door and go down a flight of stairs and then walk back up the hill to get back onto Oak St. It just isn’t ideal. Overall, our stay was fine.

This old house has lots of charm but could use a little updating.
Musty smelling carpet with some exposed carpet nails, ouch. Some power outlets are so warn out they won’t hold a plug. Need some new kitchen gadgets (can opener and peeler non-functional). It has a great deck but no furniture to sit and enjoy the outdoors. The ping pong table isn’t functional.
This is very close to downtown, lots of great places to walk to. This also means that you hear a lot of traffic noise and folks stumbling back late at night. It has window ACs for the summer which would cut the noise, but we were there when it was cold, so ACs in windows made it more noisy.
Kids: tons of extra plastic mattresses to move to the room you want, mattress protection on those that aren’t plastic. Kid plates , cups and spoons. There are a few buckets for playing in the hot tub. It has a bath tub!
Hot tub water was in great shape . Hot tub is tucked underneath the deck with a privacy screen.

Had a really pleasant stay. We had plenty of room and enjoyed the hot tub both nights! Would definitely recommend this house for groups.

We had a nice stay. The only things that got to us was there was a musty smell in the house, dust on ceiling fans that look like they have not been cleaned in awhile. Not sure what the game room is? Ping Pon Table is broken, needs to be thrown away.. some outlets wouldn't hold a plug in. but overall we had a nice stay, Hood River is Beautiful and everything is close by.

This house is big and has enough room for a family of 7 to stretch out. It is really well located and close to all of the shops, restaurants, bars and wineries downtown. A large playground called Children's Park is nearby and I went running by the beautiful waterfront and mostly shaded Indian creek trail a few times. When we were at hood river it was 95-100F for the week. Even though the place has a few window AC units, staying cool wasn't a problem. The mature trees surrounding the property really shade the house well and help keep it cool. There are lots of ceiling and box fans available in the house and we all felt comfortable.

We had a wonderful time at the property. It is very well located and met our needs perfectly. No regrets!

The kitchen was dirty. The hot tub was extremely dirty. Dirty dishes in cupboards. The bedding was also dirty upon arrival. It was very disappointing. Location was great but we would not stay there again.

Perfect Location and Size!
Our group of 5 old HS Friends thought the house was the perfect size, and the location couldn't be beat. We also enjoyed using the hot tub one night.

Big old house, fun, and great location
Close to downtown, close to children's park on 9th St. Accurate listing. It's a well used house, very big & spacious, great hot tub. I would stay again if going to Hood River with a large group. If it was only my family with me we'd rent a smaller fancier place.

For a house built in 1910, it sure was a great place to stay. Lots of charm and character. Two TV rooms downstairs, one with an Xbox. Small washer-dryer upstairs, full-size washer-dryer downstairs in the basement. Lots of supplied detergents and dryer sheets, even nice shampoo and conditioner, thank you.
One key was supplied and another was in a lockbox on the back porch. Enter through the back door up the stairs, exit out the side door which can be locked behind you. Parking lot is good for two cars, four if you block someone in. Kitchen had it all and the big table in the dining room next to it was a great place to eat or work.
Location is king and you’re just uphill of downtown Hood River. Short walking distance to restaurants and stores. We enjoyed our stay here a lot. Thanks!

We knew that this house was centrally located but didn’t realize until we got there just how central is was. Very easy walking distance to many great shops, wineries and restaurants right on Oak Street. The house could use a little TLC but overall a great space. We will definitely be back!
