About this house rental
Located just two miles from downtown, 1 mile to convention center, Music Row, Vandy, and Belmont. and blocks from cool music venues, bars, and restaurants, this home is an ideal set up for large groups needing to be close to town...and for those wanting a peaceful neighborhood to get some rest! Three floors, tons of sleeping areas, & 5 full showers! Perfect set up for families, bachelorette groups, and corporate retreats! (Permit number: CASR-2,0,1,5,1,8,9,4,0)
This house has been featured on A&E, numerous country videos, tons of magazines, media events with CMT, Rolling Stone Magazine, and so much more!
With soaring 15 ft ceilings, the first thing you will notice is the hand carved and recently hand sanded gingerbread Victorian staircase. The house has custom trim, tile, designer touches throughout. 6! Yes six original hand carved and tile fireplaces.
This property is in Woodland-in-Waverly (formally 12 south), the oldest surviving suburb in Nashville, just 2 miles south of the heart of downtown and convenient to everything. I-65 is literally a stone's throw away (but no traffic noise). Downtown, Broadway, Music Row, Hillsboro Village, 12 South, and West End are all just a few minutes away. You can also walk to a comedy club, corner bar, coffee shop, and a host of cool thrift/antique shops and tasty restaurants. The neighborhood is safe, charming, and quiet with wide streets and sidewalks just made for strollin'. We are central to shopping, historical sites, parks & sports venues. You will have a key so you can come and go as you please, but your hosts are on site to help with any needs that come up.
We have street parking in the front of the house and three parking spots in the rear. From the airport, travel 40 West to 65 South, take exit 81 Wedgewood, Go east on Wedgewood toward Belmont and Vanderbilt University. Left on 8th and left on the second street, Benton Ave. We are the third house on the left. Taxis to downtown are less than $8 (much cheaper than parking). The Metro Bus has a stop at the edge of our neighborhood.
You will have a key so you can come and go as you please, but your hosts are in the neighborhood to help with any needs that come up.
The house is yours! We have a few areas labeled private (food pantries) but other than that--make yourself at home!
Our goal is to make our house your house. We are in the neighborhood if you need us, but will likely not cross paths unless specifically requested.
This is the closest established neighborhood to downtown! You can not stay any closer to the action. While I would not recommend walking, since an uber is so cheap and convenient, it has happened. I walked it when I was 8 months pregnant. This house is in one of the HOTTEST neighborhoods of all Nashville-- walk to just about everything or just stay in the neighborhood and stroll around appreciating all the historic charm. Lots and lots of early 1900 mansions and 1920/30s bungalows! Plus, the neighbors are great... you will see plenty families raking leaves, walking fur babies and real babies, and chatting with each other. Say hi! They are all great!
The airport is 10 minutes away-$10-20 by Uber. Downtown is just 2 miles-or a $8 Uber/Lyft. There are bus stops at the end of the street, but I have never ridden it to make suggestions. There are 3 parking pads in the back in our fenced/gated backyard...and plenty of street parking.
Here is the bedroom break down:

Room (2.) Queen Bed and Chair that has pull out Twin bed

Was awesome

Everyone in my group of 12 was raving about the house the moment they walked in and had the tour. What a beautiful house, well looked after, incredible location. We were there for my wife's 60th birthday celebration and we had people flying in from all over. We are already talking about making this an annual event and stay in The Waverly again. Right after I arrived, I received a call asking if everything in the house was okay and they offered their phone number should any issues arise. Thank you for everything you did to make our Nashville trip a very memorable one!

This house is gorgeous. The mixture of historical and modern was so tastefully done. The living areas are perfect for a large group. The management company was extremely responsive and accommodating. The kitchen had all the basics though may have been a little light on extras for the gourmet cook. The beds were amazingly comfortable and the neighborhood was close to so much it was very convenient. We absolutely loved it.

The property was not at all what I expected. The check in
was horrible. I wont go in to details because the property manager did contact me after the fact and he did make things right with me to help cover all the bad things that had occurred so I do appreciate him. Other than that the stay was ok. The house does have potential. It seems to need a good cleaning and general maintenance upkeep. Quite a few things that were broken. The neighborhood was not the best. They built this place up in my head by telling me how amazing it was and I was let down and so were all of my guests.

The house was perfect for our group of 12 adult couples! Bedroom/Bathroom set up is perfect! Lots of space and just a super fun old house vibe with all the necessary updates! Location was great!

This house was for 14 of my family members to celebrate my daughters 21st birthday. The house fit us all nicely, but it needed a few "updates". First of all, with that many of us it was impossible to have to keep track of the key...a keypad on the door would have been much better so the door could be locked and unlocked with just a code. Secondly, the house wasn't very clean. There were cobwebs everywhere and since they charge a cleaning fee you would think the house would be spotless. We had something stolen out of the house also, so not sure if someone knew the code and came in after we left but there were a few things that were unexplainable. Overall, we had the best time, but the cleanliness of the house could have been better. Oh, and if you are trying to sleep while others aren't good luck you can hear everything on the first floor...the people above you and below you it was like they were right in the same room as us, so there must not be that much insulation in the floors. Also, the one bedroom downstairs had a curtain missing in the bedroom that went to the main entrance so we had to use a bathroom towel to cover the window. I hope the property owners tweak a few things! Overall, we had a great time in Nashville!!

Highly recommend staying at this property. It was gorgeous and so unique. It is also huge and had more than enough room for our large group. We were in town for a bachelorette party and loved that the house had plenty of space for hanging out, both indoors and outdoors, and that it was so easy to get around town. There are a few great places in walking distance and it is an easy Uber to Broadway. It was the perfect place for our busy weekend of exploring the town. The hosts were also responsive to all of my questions, before and during our stay. I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

We loved the house and especially it's location. We were able to access everything within minutes. The house has the charm of being historic with modern updates. We all had plenty of room and the whole house was a comfortable temperature. The yard needs some attention, but may have been due to recent rains. Our group, a mixture of men and women had no complaints and we would return to this location for a Nashville visit.

This house was so wonderful! It is charming and spacious and was perfect for a large group. There were workers that came to do loud yard work early in the morning which woke everyone up. I wish we would of had a heads up about that. Otherwise, it was a great stay and I would definitely recommend it to anyone!

Shoddy exterior but much better once you get inside. 5 bedrooms on the main and upper floors and another in the basement if you can handle the typical musky smell of most basements. Paisley did a great job setting us up with food and beverages- nice option to take advantage of. A bit close to a main road - was hit up by the homeless a few times while sitting on the porch and there were a few times cars stopped and the drivers hopped out to relieve themselves on the corner. Big city life with big city issues I figure. We had 4 couples stay and there was plenty of room for us all. Downtown is a close ride away, and Hattie B’s is a quick walk for the best hot chicken you will ever consume. Place has potential for sure, just need to work on the little things to get another star (dual pane windows, bathroom rugs, exterior paint, backyard update, etc.)

Such a beautiful house with plenty of room and a massive backyard. Will definitely stay here again when we come back

The house is beautiful and exceeded expectations. We were a group of 10 women and we needed a lot of space to get ready for our outings. Previous guests had left various storage containers, plastic wrap, coffee filters, etc., so I'd recommend checking the place out before getting groceries.

This beautiful and charming home made our trip to Nashville extra special! Great location easy drive to all of the places we went to - quick to downtown. I would definitely recommend for large party - we didn't even use the downstairs but if we have our teens with us they would never have come up from there - sooooo cool place to hangout.

Great old house with a lot of character. Home owner was fantastic and went above and beyond for us.
Had a great stay!

The house was spectacular! Plenty of room to spread out and awesome gathering spots in the home. The backyard was a total treat…porch bed swing & fire pit. We will stay again!
My only complaint is that we texted the # twice to see if we could check in a little early because of luggage but never got a response.

Short drive to downtown. House has great character! Love the stay.

Beautiful house and had everything we needed!

This was a great home to stay in. There is so much space and a great home for a larger group. We had three couples and we all loved it. If we meet again in Nashville, we will rent the house. I highly recommend it.

The house was great for our large party of 18! And absolutely beautiful! We all had a great time and really enjoyed the house. The kitchen is fantastic and we definitely shared some good laughs in there. Thank you so much for the cleanliness and hospitality that was shown to us.

This is a gorgeous house. Its old and a bit creaky but it is beautifully updated and decorated. Its was a lovely, quiet location, very clean and well kept. We got stuck an extra night in Nashville due to the SouthWest debacle and Gerry & Paisley were very helpful and allowed us to stay an extra night for a discounted rate. Couldn't recommend more!
4.7
3 couples in our 50’s went down for a long weekend. The place is very big, we had room for a few more couples. The location is perfect, minutes from downtown and the comedy house is right across the street, which was a lot of fun. The house is beautiful and beautifully decorated. My only complaint was that it looks like the maintenance company isn’t doing their job. There were many, many burned out light bulbs, spider webs lining the outside of the windows and the fence in the back yard was falling down. I did talk to Gerry about some of the issues and it sounded like he was going to take care of it. But I would definitely come back!
4.7
Plenty of space for everyone to spread out, short uber ride to downtown... The home truly has lots of southern charm! Owner/PM were easy to get ahold of and very accommodating.
4.7
The house was absolutely as described. It was well stocked and plenty of room for our family. Many places were within walking distance including a grocery store. The house was very charming and updated While still maintaining its charm. We will definitely be back next time we come to Nashville.
