This house was amazing! We loved hte neighborhood and how close it was to everything. We never felt cramped even with 8 of us in the house.

There were a few dusty spots and cobwebs, but overall pretty clean. Biggest complaint was that every time we went into the basement to do laundry we saw 1-2 roaches. The host immediately sprayed as soon as we
Told him, but those are tricky buggers to get rid of. told

Beautiful house! Very nice accommodations!

This is the second time that we've rented this house in KC and it was just as wonderful as the first time! The house is extremely comfortable -- there is lots of space, the decor is beautiful, and the owner responsive. The owner has transformed one of the rooms into a Taylor Swift room, much to my daughter's delight! We had a minor issue with some water leakage from the air conditioner unit on the 3rd floor (a separate unit) and the owner responded immediately. If we are back in KC, we will definitely rent this house again!

Everything was clean and comfortable, nice arrangement of bedrooms and bathrooms. One thing I would note here: the floors are creaky (old house) and when there is a rental in the unit above, you will know when they are up and about. Not a big deal unless they are early birds.

Enjoyed our time at the mansion! Great location and plenty of room to spread out.

I grew up in Kansas City, so I appreciate a myriad of neighborhoods downtown- with all their guts and glory. You’re close to everything here. The Nelson- Atkins, Westport, Crossroads, The Plaza, Brookside, ect. I had a good parking spot, and street parking is also easily accessible and spacious. This neighborhood is in a city center- so common sense matters.
This house was absolutely lovely, and as a host myself I felt it met our basic needs. Anything above and beyond, I bring with me. I don’t really understand the negative reviews, it had all the necessary components for our small group. The host is very clear about his house rules and they aren’t difficult by any means. Our youngest daughter was coming home from a semester studying abroad in Ireland, & this place provided a great locale and eclectic vibe for our family and her friends to reunite. Andrew was down to earth and nice. Much appreciated. We would stay again. It’s a cool place, and it made me miss hometown KC.

Such an interesting mansion house with an extra stairway for the maids, etc. great oak woodwork. Great location, close to the art museum. It was rather musty and the lighting was poor, difficult to cook for a large group in the odd kitchen.

We had a girls weekend here and was perfect! The house temperature settings were a little cool wish we could have adjusted our own heat! Nice big size rooms, the host was amazing and very accommodating!

We had a great stay. The house itself is dripping with charm! We loved the Craftsman details, all the warm wood and ornate fixtures, but beyond the home's beauty, it was also just really comfortable and very roomy. The bedrooms are big and the beds are very comfortable. We were able to host a pre-holiday breakfast for our family in the big dining room and having two living rooms accommodated both TV watchers and readers. The house is also in a really great location in an area of other architecturally beautiful homes, for those who enjoy walking. And super close to Hyde Park and the Art Museum. Highly recommend!

The front porch is lovely. The dining room and 2 living rooms were quite comfortable. We enjoyed the eclectic decor and KC decor and maps, While the property was what the pictures showed, actually moving around in the kitchen was awkward. We only had breakfast, so it was fine, but other meals would have been a hassle. I would have liked information left for closest/best grocery store, convience store, walgreens etc. I also expected the basics to be present; ie paper towels, hand soaps, hand towels (not in downstairs bathroom), TV instructions. A few issues with the house. There was a leak in one of bedrooms from the 3rd floor and the second bathroom on 2nd floor didn't flush unless I manually filled tank. With just 5 of us, we could use the other 2 bathrooms. The leak only happened once and owner/manager said they would look at it. Did not noticed that they came in to the room, so must have checked it out above us. There is someone living/staying on 3rd floor. No washer/dryer which I didn't realize. Overall, I really enjoyed the house and close proximity to all things KC.

This mansion was the perfect backdrop for our daughter’s wedding. Manicured lawn and landscaping made it perfect for pictures! Added a special touch for her downtown wedding.

I visited KC for the NFL Draft with 6 of my friends, and this place was the perfect home base. The place is huge with multiple rooms to hang out, bedrooms were a plenty, and it had an awesome old school vibe. The place also had all the amenities we could want, and it was only a 5-10 minute ride to all the fun locations in KC: Westport, Power and Light, and the Union Station/WWI Memorial.

This house is beautiful inside and out! Andrew did a great job at restoring this home back to its charm. We checked in late at night with no problems. The kitchens and bathrooms were well stocked. With the 2 separate living rooms and a large dining room table, we all had room to spread out. We had 1 small issue, but Andrew resolved it very quickly. The street was peaceful and quiet, we enjoyed drinking morning coffee on the front porch. The beds and pillows were all comfortable, with TV’s in all the bedrooms. He had several extra pillows and blankets in closets which I appreciated.
We would definitely rent again.

I cannot say enough good things about this house. The house itself is gorgeous; they don’t make them like this anymore. The neighborhood is phenomenal. If you choose to stay here, make sure you take a walk around and look at all the old homes and the old money that runs Kansas City. The cookware was as nice as what you would have at home; the kitchen appliances and everything was above par. I would move in here if I had a reason to move to KC!!!

Eight of us stayed at this big beautiful house. It was nice that we all could be together under the same roof

Besides the hot 🔥 water went out fast and had to watch it after that and not being able to have access to a fone # to call or talk to property owner just in case for faster communication, the property was nice. Me and my family likes hot water, especially if it's a whirlpool tub that someone wants to use and can't because of hot water situation, people like hot water more than others so why not have the temperature up if you have guests coming to your home. Other than that, it was nice for the grandkids to enjoy themselves @ the aquarium and Legoland.

The Mansion is beautiful, a step back in time with all the upgrades for today!
We were in town for a business conference, this was multiples better than a hotel.
Loved the heated bathroom floor 😊
Super clean, easy check in, Andrew was accommodating to our schedule.
We will definitely be back when we visit KC.
There is a great restaurant, Char Bar just a few minutes drive,

The Mansion is a lovely historic property with excellent updates and very comfortable beds. It is in a great location for both downtown and plaza events. Overall the home was very well kept. The kitchen/stove front needed a good cleaning but otherwise very clean and nice. Would stay again and recommend to friends.

Had a great stay in this neat old home. We used this as a relaxing “home base” as our family traveled into town at different times for a wedding. Super neat old home with plenty of room to spread out and allow everyone to have a little personal space. Needed to ask our host a couple of questions and he was quick to respond. We would definitely stay here again.

Lots of space to sit and visit. Very comfortable and roomy. Beds were comfortable and house was well stocked. This is our 3rd time here. It’s 10-15 min away from most of the entertainment places. But it’s not a bad Uber drive.

My daughter, son in law and 2 grandchildren enjoyed staying at the Mansion. It is a great location between the Crown Center, Union Station and Country Club Plaza.. property was well appointed and has a good kitchen facility.

It is a beautifully restored old home. The kitchen had many utensils, large refrigerator and cooking needs. Our only concern that led to us leaving a night early was the upstairs unit. There is no sound proofing between the second floor of our unit where everyone slept and the attic/upstairs unit. The people renting that unit were up in the middle of the night- talking loudly, stomping, slamming doors, and their four dogs barked while they were up. We left a day early because we were exhausted.

Great unique historic place to stay. Clean and well-managed and well-appointed with towels and soap and things to make the stay feel like you were in someone's place vs. rental unit. Updated and comfortable. Parking limited on property, so be prepared for street parking (but that is ok - all felt safe and secure). Great communication and check-in was easy. Would highly recommend over hotel for a nice KC experience.
