About this house rental

Built in 1900 this cottage retains much of it's original charm. This traditional home has both formal living and dining rooms. Furnished with one queen bed and one full-size bed, it is comfortable for four people. Off-street parking is available. Laundry facilities are in the basement. A separate studio apartment in the basement is not included. (inquire about availablity and rates for this separate studio apt).

Located in the Central Area of Seattle, this house is 10 minutes to Seattle's Capitol Hill, Madrona and Madison Park neighborhoods and Downtown Seattle. Public transportation is 1 block away which makes it convenient to all that Seattle has to offer. Nearby amenities include a coffee shop, restaurants, Central Cinema, supermarkets, a pilates/yoga studio.

This is a lovely house, felt spacious and perfect for our family of 4. It is on peaceful, quiet, tree lined street. There are restaurants within walking distance. The space is very pretty and tastefully decorated. Staying here was a delight and made Seattle feel so welcoming. A lovely city and a delightful home

This house is nice: clean, well furnished, plenty of space and good amenities. Half a block from great coffee and a bus stop, a few blocks from groceries/restaurants. Pleasant outdoor space with seating. The neighborhood is quiet and very enjoyable for walking. The hosts are friendly and responsive. Just a couple of notes: this house is in the flight path, which, depending on the day and how much quiet you need for sleeping, can be a significant factor (Wednesday morning had nonstop planes overhead starting at about 5:00am). The window AC units help muffle the noise a little but I would highly recommend ear plugs. Beds are fine, the full bed is a bit creaky (also the footboard would make this bed tricky for anyone over 5’7”), and some upgraded/extra pillows would make the sleeping experience better. Overall we enjoyed our stay and the house suited our needs well.

We really enjoyed our stay here. The house is cozy, the location perfect. The street is very quiet. We relied on public transportation for our entire stay and the bus stop was just at the corner. We had a great time here and would highly recommend this place! Grocery stores are within walking distance and so are coffee places and restaurants. Thank you for sharing your wonderful home! The property was wonderful! The period details were lovely, thoughtfully decorated, very nice linens and spacious enough for four comfortably. The washer and dryer were a great bonus. Located in a lovely neighborhood short drive or bus ride to downtown but great restaurants, parks, cool eat in movie theatre and a cafe all within walking distance - including a Trader Joe's! Nice pirvate yard and comfy porch. Highly recommend!

A nice place, likely was too far out from downtown for us with no car. Older folks, we had issues accessing and exiting the shower.

The house was perfect for the four of us (sharing beds). the only reason I went with 4 and not 5/5 stars was that the house is right on the flight path and the heater was very loud, so there was a little noise both inside and outside the house. Other than some noise which can't be helped, the house was very central with parking. We walked many thousand steps, but it was great to have a comfortable, clean, bright place to come back to. Katy's, a coffee shop half a block a way, was so sweet with delicious gluten-free offerings! Our hosts were quick to respond and very flexible and friendly. I would be back!

We enjoyed staying here - it's a very quiet neighborhood. It's also walking distance to lots of shops & restaurants. The kitchen is a bit small if you plan to cook but it's well equipped. It's also nice to have off-street parking.

It was a pretty nice place to stay!! The driveway is definitely steep but our suv made it up pretty easily. It’s located pretty close to a lot of stuff which is super nice as well. The beds are firm but we like that, tv has Netflix/fire stick as well as cable. The hosts were wonderful and very helpful!! They even had some umbrellas for us which were needed through a lot of the trip since it rains a lot in Seattle. I think the only things we weren’t a huge fan of were the super steep driveway (which wasn’t a huge problem for us so that’s okay) and the shower, which works fine but is very tall and the water temperature seems to fluctuate quite a bit. Those are just little things though and the overall stay was really good!! Also a lot of super cute little wild bunnies around the area!! Highly recommend :)

What an amazing house, so unique and beautiful. We flew from California to see my best friends for my birthday. We really enjoyed our stay. Our hosts were wonderful with personal touches all through the house for us. The only complaint is they could use better beds but other than that top-tier stay.

Very happy with our stay. The neighborhood was quiet. Easy to walk to from transit. The home was very comfortable; from beds, decor and kitchen supplies. Cindy and Josée were very helpful in responding to a couple of inquiries. Would definitely come back.

Cindy & Jose's house in the Central District was a wonderful spot to stay if you want to visit the city, but feel like a local when you turn in for the night! Lovely, leafy neighborhood, with a co-op grocery and a nice little coffee shop both within easy walking distance. Cindy & Jose were easy to communicate with, and took care of a couple of issues that cropped up early in our stay extremely promptly and courteously.

We had a wonderful stay. The house was clean and the beds were so comfortable. The house had everything that we needed plus more. The owners were available for questions and any concerns that popped up. Perfect location. Bus stops and grocery store were within walking distance. No need to rent a car unless you are venturing outside the Seattle area. Can't wait to come back again! Thanks again Cindy and Jose for an amazing stay!

It was convenient and close to Pikes Market. Safe neighborhood and friendly neighbor. For the price it was good. Full size bed needs to be replaced. It was rough on our back and very unstable. Other then that for its value and location. It was great!

This cozy 2 bedroom house was quite spacious and comfortable. It has all the amenities of home and very convenient to all areas of Seattle. The parking was a PLUS. It was a great house that we would love to return to in the future.

This is the second time I have stayed in this house. Cindy and Joae are terrific. The location is great, in walking distance to rhe metro we went everywhere. The neighborhood is safe and easy to navigate. The house is very homey and comfortable. Will definitely book again.

This is a nice house for a couple. Bathroom is small, claw foot tub with surround shower curtain, and wall heater. Kitchen is also small, with small dishwasher that is noisy. Limited number of plates, cups, bowls, etc. Livingroom is comfortable with couch and two chairs. One bed is firm, other is soft and squeaks. Large dining room with table and 4 chairs. Driveway has sharp angle at sidewalk, but ramps make it OK so the car does no bottom out. Very nice location for visiting Seattle and surrounding area. Some nice local restaurants and good shopping. Overall great value.

We loved our stay at this charming old home. The rooms are spacious, the off street parking very convenient, and the amenities plentiful. The street is quiet yet very close to great restaurants. It's fewer than 2 miles to the waterfront downtown and in a very safe area. We would love to come back!

My friend and I absolutely loved our long weekend stay here. So conveniently located in a very sweet quiet neighbourhood so close to everything! Had some wifi issues and the hosts were fast at resolving the matter. Highly recommend.

We come to Seattle spring and fall for medical treatment and have stayed at several VRBO properties in recent years and this rates at the top of the list for these reasons: -Proximity to medical facilities -Easy access by mass transit -Quiet, friendly neighborhood -Very hospitable and responsive host/owners -Access to downtown -Safe off-street parking -Privacy with lovely landscaping and surroundings -Wonderfully restored historic house -Attractive and comfortable period interior furnishings We certainly plan to stay at this comfortable and well-located property on future visits to Seattle.
