Kihei Bay Surf Studio #238 is a remodeled upstairs studio with vaulted ceilings, a fully equipped kitchen, mountain and tennis court views. It has a king bed and a double sofa bed and it can sleep 3 people. Kihei Bay Surf Studio #238 features a room unit air conditioner in the living room, Flat screen TV, and WIFI. Coin-operated laundry room on-site. A $200 refundable security deposit is required for this unit. Please note: This unit is on the second floor with no elevator available.
Same day bookings and those arriving within 48 hours of making the reservation requires a phone call to Rentals Maui for confirmation.
Longer stays require additional terms and conditions. Please contact Rentals Maui for inquiries longer than 60 nights.
The Kihei Bay Surf is located in North Kihei across the street from the Whale Sanctuary and Kalepolepo Beach and an ancient Hawaiian fishpond. Each studio has a fully equipped kitchen, Cable TV and can sleep from 2-3 people. In addition there is a large pool, hot tub, tennis court, gas grills and common laundry areas for your use. Whale watch, windsurf, walk the beach and enjoy the most amazing sunsets imaginable. The Kihei Bay Surf is centrally located to shops, restaurants and is just minutes from the championship golf courses of Wailea and Makena. This is one of the best values in Kihei.
** Important Update: A construction project is scheduled for April through December 2024 (estimate). The work will consist of removal of the old roof and solar panels, and installation of the new roof and solar panels. Work is allowed Monday-Saturday from 8am-5pm. Equipment will be staged throughout the complex as they work on each section of the roof. This work will consist of loud construction days. Please email or call our office for more specific information on this project. **

The condo itself was clean and comfortable. The construction project noted at the bottom of the listing was overwhelming at times with loud noises, nails on walkways, and construction equipment in the parking lot. Otherwise a very pleasant stay. I would stay again after the construction is over.

This property is in the best location - easy drive to Haleakala mountain and to Lahaina as well as Wailea. Surrounded by many great restaurants and a great beach with turtles! Overall, the property is simple but perfect for a family who is looking for a place to sleep while they are out all day.

We were there second time but in another room. Everything was good and our stay was satisfied because of good location and clean. We forgot the bag in thee room and after leavin receiving the message about it. We will give the advice the host to change beach chairs and better if could be dish washing mashine and the place where put the suitcases.

Our stay was absolutely wonderful. The unit itself is dated and could use a “freshen up” but is otherwise clean, spacious and perfect for a couple! The king sized bed is incredibly comfortable and the cross breeze you get in the unit is amazing. We never turned the A/C on. Kitchen is well equipped and the beach chairs and umbrella got a lot of use! Great value here, highly recommend!

We appreciated being so near to Kihei, but removed enough that we didn't hear the busy streets or restaurant/bar goers. Loved being able to walk across the street to the Humpback Whale Sanctuary to watch the whales and morning kayakers from the front deck with your morning coffee. Also appreciated the well-stocked kitchen and beach chairs and gear provided by the hosts.

It is a 10 minute drive away from some of the nicest beaches and restaurants. The place was very clean and also came with a lot of amenities like beach chairs, beach towels, snorkel gear, boogie boards, etc.

I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Let’s see...the AC didn’t work, the cable didn’t work properly, the internet was down. Not a great stay. The RM Inc. staff were very helpful. The property owner refused to allow the RM staff to provide us with a portable AC unit and wanted the AC cord to “dry out”. Yet, there was no mention of any compensation for a listed amenity that didn’t work. We will NOT return to Kihei Bay Surf any time soon.

I stayed in the studio apartment for just over a week and it had all of the amenities needed. The property was clean and well maintained. It’s steps away from a beautiful beach and minutes away from local shops. The kitchenette was fully loaded and gives the flexibility of making your own meals. I bought groceries for breakfast and lunches and ate out for dinners. I highly recommend this property for anyone considering this trip!

This was a wonderfully appointed condo. The desk staff was so welcoming and kind. The only issue was a security guard who was a bit too harsh in his monitoring of the property, said some very rude things to me and other guests (while one other guest was making his steaks he mentioned white privilege and how he had to eat ramen because of all the whites here) he was also aggressive with speaking to my teenage daughter and shining lights into peoples cars at night. Considering the way tourism has negatively affected the culture of Maui, I took it with a grain of salt and would definitely return. I understand the security guard’s sentiment, but he was pretty much harassing people left and right.

Our stay here in kihei was really fun. The condo was clean and had all the necessities. The TV was a Roku with apps. The king sized bed was comfortable and came with a variety of pillows to our liking. And the area was quiet at night. The only thing that could have been better was the AC unit. The condo had 1 window unit AC and it just could not cool off the whole place. The cool air only seemed to stay in that one corner of the room the unit was located, and kihei was quite hot this time of year. But overall, our stay was quite pleasant and we had a lot of fun on the island.

This was essentially a studio apartment that was perfect for an individual or a couple. It was clean, near restaurants and food trucks, near the beach and quiet. It included some nice extras like boogie boards, swim fins, beach chairs, etc. I really enjoyed the ability to open the windows and the window above the door in the evening and enjoy the cool breeze overnight. Never used the A/C. If I return to Maui, I will rent this unit again.

Met our needs but there were a few things that could be replaced or repaired deck chair quite bent not very stable. Coffee maker leaked at times sink and tub needed a bit of scrubbing beach chair broken perhaps dispose of the 2 beach umbrellas that are not functional. Freezer opened every time we closed the fridge. Tbh these are little things but being an owner of my own vacation rental should be looked after

We enjoyed our stay. We never used the pool as we were off exploring the island. We made breakfast every morning and then set off for adventures. Well stocked w towels and also beach chairs, umbrella, pool noodles, and boogie boards. We left a snorkel kit and fins to pay it forward for the next visitors. We would stay again.

Kihei was a great location to stay. Very central to the island, allowing for easy day trips all around the island. Close proximity to beaches, and food. Rooms were comfortable and had all the necessities. Pool and bbq area were a nice addition :)

Unit had everything we needed for a pleasant stay. The place is a little dated, has very little hot water pressure and could use a bigger air conditioning unit. pool area was very nice with a Jacuzzi and nice barbecues. Very good Wi-Fi and TV system ,beach just across the street. 238 is an inside unit facing the tennis court. Nobody played tennis so if you like tennis, the court is all yours.Excellent value for Maui.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: A reasonably priced place to crash (compared to many other locations on Maui). Two concerns with the location- wasn't as clean as we hoped. I found dirty dishes in the cabinets and there were ants in the unit. Additionally, the bed seemed broken - or maybe it just needs to be replaced but it dipped considerably in thr middle and did not make for comfortable rest. All in all, it was a place to crash. We didn't spend much time there but it met our basic needs.

We enjoyed our stay at this quiet property. It was perfectly sufficient for our needs. It was a bit warm since the window air conditioner blows directly into the bedside table and couldn’t cool the entire unit. The louvered windows do not help keep the cool in.
