The property has a wonderful outdoor space beside the river. It’s very close to a semi busy road, so we had to keep our pet leashed at all times. My family does a lot of cooking, so the description of gourmet kitchen was definitely not correct. We had to purchase some frying pans that our food wouldn’t stick to. The owner and host were very responsive if we contacted them.

A wonderful cabin and area and people.

Beautiful cabin in a beautiful location! So much to do in the area, and the cabin had everything we needed for a family reunion (6 adults, a 2-year old, and 2 dogs). Highly recommend!

What an amazing family trip we had at this cabin! Location is perfect! The river is so beautiful with the lovely sunsets! The indoor fireplace is so cozy every night and we made delicious s’mores every night too! The owner and caretaker are top notch! Pick this cozy cabin to stay in for an amazing memory!

This is one of the most unique places we have ever stayed!
You can tell this cabin is the owners "baby"! So many neat features about it! The river is beautiful as well!!
Very close to town and restaurants! Our new dog loved it too!!

We had THE BEST time here for my 41st birthday!! It snowed our first night there and it was so incredibly beautiful at the property!! The caretaker and owner were very helpful and responded promptly with any questions we had. The 2 wood burning fireplaces were amazing and we used them every day. I can't wait to come back in the summer and go tubing!! There is so much love put into this house and you can tell in all the details.

We had the best stay at this cabin! We came to ride the Polar Express, and the cabin made the weekend even more perfect! The owner was lovely and the care taker Tammy was always available to assist. The cabin is close to everything, and the outdoor area was spectacular. We cannot wait to return!

We have stayed at this lovely property over Thanksgiving two years ago so we knew the area and property well. We had a wonderful time this time! We used the firepit each night and enjoyed watching the river. Each day brought a new adventure as we toured Bryson City and rode on the GSMR to see the fall foliage. We also drove into the quaint little town of Sylva. So fun! Husbands fished each day in different places. The cabin is so nice - the only area that I would recommend is that the cabin needs a thorough dusting...also it would have been nice to know that there was only one shower available...other than that we loved it!

Had an absolute fabulous relaxing stay and highly recommend this rental. Our only complaints would be is that it could use a deep cleaning. Dust/cobwebs, torn screens, windows need to be cleaned as the view is amazing and outside Adirondack chairs need fixing. Those were minor compared to a wonderful stay. Tammy our contact was so helpful with any questions. Highly recommend and hope to go back again!

We stayed here with another family over Labor day weekend and had a truly magical time in this place. The pictures do not do this spectacular home justice. Every inch of the home has been thoughtfully curated using the finest materials seemingly weaving the nature from outside indoors. We loved sitting with the porch windows open in the mornings with a fire in the fireplace listening to the river . Our kids had a blast playing in the river every afternoon and the sound of the train across the way every afternoon was an added treat! Jilliane and Tamy were awesome and so welcoming. The house is conveniently located near waterfalls and day hikes and other charming mountain towns. I would highly recommend this beautiful home to anyone looking for a respite in this crazy world!

We have been staying in the Tuck during the
summer as a family and paddling all the nearby whitewater rivers and playing around in the mountains. Easy location to getting around. The highlight of this house was enjoying hanging outside on the river during the evenings.

This property and cabin us ideal for a getaway to destress, decompress from the daily stresses and responsibilities of life. Our family fully enjoyed the firepit, river, hottub, scenery and cabin. I plan on renting again.

We booked this cabin to accompany my husband on a work trip. We viewed it as an extended vacation, and were excited to be staying on the river (we usually stay in Bryson City). Upon arrival, the caretaker greeted me and showed me around. She was nice, and it wasn't until we'd been at the cabin a few days that things started to reveal themselves. First, the cabin fixtures are extremely dusty. There were actual strands of dust hanging from the "canopy" of one of the beds.
The first few days we ate out, and so it wasn't until day three that I pulled out some plates to find pieces of food still stuck to several of them. This was not something anyone could have missed had they checked. It was disgusting. I also had to rewash all of the coffee mugs. They had bits of dried on gunk stuck inside all of them. They advertised a "chef's kitchen" but I found that description to be very misleading. They didn't have any good knives. The few they had were very dull. Most were steak knives. What I think of as basic kitchen necessities were lacking. It was also surprising to find only four forks in the utensil drawer.
The entire cabin is a good bit smaller than it appeared in the pictures, and my husband and I could not work together in the kitchen without being in each other's way. The dishwasher left a lot of debris after running, and there was a sandy residue on everything in the top rack. The dining table is very uncomfortable/inconvenient.
The washing machine/dryer had a faint mildew smell. Almost none of the interior doors would shut or stay shut. The upstairs bedroom we slept in was very tight. You can only get on the bed at the foot as there is no space on either side. The cabin is also right on the road, so there is a lot of traffic noise. We never slept past about 6AM because of this. Also worth mentioning, the parking area is very tight. We have a normal sized pickup truck and it was a pain to get out or turned around each time we left. People drive very fast down that road, and it was a bit dangerous pulling out of the drive due to limited visibility.
The outdoor area and firepit were a plus and we enjoyed the peaceful river, when we could hear it over the sound of the vehicles flying by.
I don't usually write reviews, but we were really excited to stay at this cabin, and it was without a doubt the worst cabin we've ever rented. We considered complaining, but we realized there must be a reason they say in the listing "no refunds".

Picked this VRBO specifically because of everything there was on site; the river, comfortable family seating, hot tub, outdoor rec areas. It was a dream. The home was charming and well appointed and communication with the host was easy and very efficient. We traveled with our 3 kids (all teens) and there was enough room for everyone to retreat when needed, and so many options for gathering when we were hanging out. Loved the location to the Smokies, other area towns and grocery stores as well.

We had a wonderful stay at this cabin! It was so beautiful, couldn't ask for a better location! Everything was perfect! We enjoyed all of the outdoor areas, the hot tub on the river is just amazing. Loved the wood burning fireplace inside, that was truly wonderful. The whole cabin is decorated so cute, I just loved looking all around at everything! We plan to go back in the Fall. Highly recommend!

We just stayed here this past weekend for our wedding weekend, and we absolutely loved the place! The cabin has so much character and is so cozy. We loved waking up to the views of the river, it was a gorgeous way to spend the morning. Tammy (the property manager) was so responsive and easy to deal with. We loved it and recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing mountain weekend!

This house is above par of the usual VRBO houses I’ve stayed at. The extra detail, care, decor, outdoor atmosphere is all geared for a 5 star vacation rental. Both owner and house attendant (if needed) were available 24-7 and were extremely kind. After a very busy summer - my daughter met us here and we literally just stayed on the property. We cooked every meal, went tubing down the river, sat in the river, enjoyed the outside atmosphere, and played card/board games. This is definitely a house I would Vrbo again. Thank you for sharing your home!!

We had an Amazing time at this Beautiful mountain home! Beds as super comfy & we loved how cozy it was. Amazing river views from almost every window in the house. We enjoyed starting our days with coffee sitting outside by the river, floating in the rafts during the day, & watching the sunset over the river during our outdoor dinners. My favorite was relaxing in the hot tub watching the Amazing sunsets! My husband and son did a lot of fishing off the river bank and caught many small fish. We also had a great time exploring Beautiful charming Bryson City , which is only 10 minutes .away . We hope to make it back to stay her again! It was Amazing!!!

Beautiful property
Outdoors was lovely, however the kitchen had no cabinet space whatsoever. We had to leave everything on counter and try to work around it. Also bedrooms were very small. I’m in my eightys and having to climb over my husband to get out of bed was hard.

Interesting Property, but Not Clean!
The property itself is in a great location and the outdoor space is wonderful (but in need of maintenance). The interior is cramped, cluttered and in need of a good top-to-bottom cleaning. Lots of hair, cobwebs and a general feeling of uncleanliness. Property could be awesome, and although right next to the road, it's proximity to the Tuck River makes it a cool property. The Cabin, however, is interesting but definitely needs attention. Has been let go for too long.

Wonderful!!
We really enjoyed our stay in this cozy, eclectic, and spacious cabin. The outdoor area is amazing and the pictures can’t quite do it justice. There are so many sitting areas and unique plants to enjoy while sitting next to the river. We tubed twice, we drove to the town at the drop off near the post office and enjoyed a breathtaking ride that lasted about 10 minutes, and got off once we reached the cabin. Everything was extremely clean within the home. The property manager Tammy was terrific, she’s very responsive and friendly. I definitely recommend you stay at this cabin!!

Perfect Family Getaway
The cabin was exactly as described in the listing. The uniqueness and detail of the property captured nature, history of the area, along with the beauty of the Tuck River perfectly. We spent a majority of our time outside and and in the addition with wood burning fireplace. Thank you for an amazing stay and we will be back!

Amazing Place!
I spend hours scouring VRBO for just the right place and I found it in this one! I am "I need a comfortable mattress and real wine glasses" years old and I loved this home. (They even had plastic wine glasses for the hot tub!) We spent 15 minutes outside before we even went in! It's absolutely beautiful. Tammy, the caretaker was easy to communicate with. The home was comfortable and cozy. We loved the riverside setting and the hot tub was a bonus. We did all the things....hot tub, fire in the fire pit, s'mores, movies, star gazing, etc. The only minor issue which wasn't an issue for us was that you can hear road noise and noise of those in the second story. So if you are bringing a baby, a sound machine would be helpful. The home was an easy drive to the Smoky Mtn. National Park, Cherokee, NC, and Asheville, NC. Hikes were amazing and easy to get to. We loved this home and will be back again! I want to move to this home.

Weekend Getaway
My wife and I were celebrating her birthday and our friend’s their anniversary and this was a great place. The cabin caretaker Tammy was top notch. The previous renters had broke the coffee pot and created some other issues Tammy went over a beyond to make sure all was right.
The cabin is located right on the river and the views from sun up to sun down are beautiful. The cabin is well equipped and the beds slept well, but you can hear the road traffic at night. Traffic is light so it is not an issue. The kitchen had all you needed but it has limited room. We were there in the winter and they had plenty of fire wood and provided starter logs to keep the house cozy. The grill is charcoal but cooks well.
This would be a great rental in the summer. Tubing and river play, fire pit and hot tub location. Two golf courses close by and we spent time at the new sports book at the casino minutes away. Remember to check the railway schedule to be out when the train comes by, it neat. Plus read the books in the cabin about the cabin and area.
This is a great place to be.

The Best of Everything!
We are long-time vacationers of this area. The cozy, beautiful cabin is situated perfectly to be minutes from all our favorite places. Golfing, skiing, shopping, coffee, hiking, exploring- it’s all right there! We LOVE Bryson City and the location made it a quit trip in to town. The best part??
The river and the train! The train comes by several times a day. It’s just magical!
The cabin and outdoor spaces have their own very special charm. Just gorgeous! The pictures don’t do it justice!
The welcome we received from owner and caretaker was genuine and it was their greatest wish to make sure we were happy. I appreciate their attention to details. You will not be disappointed.

True Cabin Feel but lacks housekeeping
We loved the beauty and special touches of this rental, a real true cabin feel. The surrounding area was so serene and peaceful. The few issues I had I reached out to the owner after the vacation and these were addressed. I learned some things with my future rentals. Overall we did very much enjoy the surrounding areas as well as the cabin.
