Welcome to the House at Forest Hill.
Your getaway is the entire upstairs residence of a rustic mountain home. Friendly and discreet innkeepers live in the separate apartment below and are available to answer any questions and ensure your comfortable stay.
The house is a casual home perfect for small group or family gatherings or romantic getaways. Set in a quiet neighborhood where varying elevation creates a visual distance between neighbors, the Forest Hill house sits in on an acre near to Pike National Forest and has spectacular unobstructed views of Pikes Peak in the Rocky Mountains.
Soak in the 6 person hot tub or enjoy the mountain and forest views from the front porch or outdoor gas grill/eating area. Your mountain inn is full of comfortable log beds.
The Peak View suite hides away at the end of the house with peak views of sunsets to the west and unobstructed mountain views of Pikes Peak to the south. The Peak View has vintage lodge decor including an old TV, antique books, and quirky chandelier. The a newly renovated master bathroom with bowl sinks, a vanity made of boat oars, and a brand new shower. Sit on the leather chair by the picture window with your fresh cup of coffee and watch the sunrise on the mountain panorama. The suite sleeps two on an ample and substantial queen log bed made locally in Woodland Park, Colorado.
The Pine Room has a porch-in-the-woods feel and is surrounded on three sides by Douglas fir and ponderosa pine. Leave the curtains open and watch the moon rise off the ridge of Bald Mountain. The Pine Room sleeps two on a full log bed and has direct access to the outdoor deck and hot tub.
The Aspen Room has the feel of a bunkhouse in the trees. From this second story picture window, peer through quaking leaves for big mountain views of Pikes Peak. Located directly across the hall from the bathroom, the bunk room provides ample room for several guests to catch a good night’s sleep. The aspen room can sleep 4 and features 3 log bed options: Twin, Extra Long Twin, and Queen.
Pine and Aspen rooms share the main bathroom.
The House at Forest Hill has a functional galley kitchen with necessary amenities included. Three grocery stores are within a couple minutes drive so you can easily stock up on all the coffee, snacks, and meal supplies needed for your time away.
The dining area sits between kitchen and living area with comfortable seating for 8. But you can slide a couple more in on the old church pew.
The living area brings the outside mountain view in through a floor to ceiling picture window. The window was designed by engineers to situate exactly so that the topmost point of the window aligns directly with the summit of Pikes Peak. This unusual room includes invitingly worn leather couches and an entertainment center which contains games and a large Smart TV monitor. The Smart TV is connected to the free wi-fi and is capable of linking to your Netflix, Hulu, YouTube or other internet accounts. Bring your cables and hook up your own gaming systems.
Woodland Park is known as the City Above the Clouds. At 8900 ft. elevation, the little mountain town sits up above most rain fronts, and boasts over 240 days of sunshine year round.

This is an all-around great place to stay. The house is secluded and private with deer walking around the yard. The house is equipped with high quality furnishings and has plenty of space. The best part is the unbeatable view of Pike's Peak, which is visible from the living room, the front porch, and the hot tub.

We enjoyed our stay so much! The house was so clean, and we even got some snow! Because of the snow, the owners accommodated for trash pickup which I thought was really nice!

Great location, especially the view of Pike's Peak. We especially enjoyed the hot tub as the snow was falling. Kitchen was well equipped. No laundry facilities, but otherwise it was perfect.

I cannot say enough good about this property! The views were amazing and the snow made them even better! Everything we could need for a family of five was provided. We had deer right outside the deck on several occasions. It was just what we needed for a nice, relaxing getaway.

We loved this house! Tons of room, fully stocked kitchen including any baking ware you could possibly need, eco-friendly touches, and so many unique, decorative touches in this lovely home. The view was incredible, loved all the windows and porch. Such a great find, highly recommend for your next getaway!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. loved the hot tub, masses of towels and the beautiful setting. We were also pleasantly surprised by the well stocked kitchen. We are a group of adult women who get together annually and most of us enjoy cooking. Sharp knives are just the beginning. Bring your own pillow and enjoy!

Great place for a family if you prefer not to be right in the middle of all the tourist areas and congestion. The hot tub was nice for the cool mountain evenings (even in August). Even though there are live-in “inn keepers” in the basement, we never heard or saw them… so it still felt like a private residence. I would not hesitate to stay here again.

I can't say enough good things about this house! The hosts have thought of everything, and this house was pristine! It was the perfect size for our large-ish family; there was seating for everyone in the living room and in the dining room (which isn't always the case in rental homes, we have learned.) The views were breath-taking. The hot tub was relaxing. The beds were comfortable. The decor was thoughtful and artistic. I sincerely hope that we are able to return someday; I'd love to stay longer and have more time to sit on the front porch!

What a beautiful place with an absolute stunning view of Pikes Peak from the front porch! Our stay at Forest Hill was wonderful! The place was so clean and stocked with anything you might need. Every room was decorated beautifully; I loved how nature was brought inside and incorporated. The first morning of our stay, a deer was eating next to the front porch. Don't let the idea of the innkeepers living below deter you from staying. You'd have no idea the couple was even there. You won't be disappointed staying at Forest Hill!

I've stayed here twice before with one other person but this time, there were six of us. The cabin works well for a couple and it works well for more! There are so many great outdoor spaces. The kitchen is well-equipped. Everything is great and we didn't want for a thing! The innkeepers are always friendly and helpful!

Wonderful, comfortable home with amazing views! Everything felt so welcoming, kitchen was well stocked (although we didn't cook any meals there), loved the decor and nice furniture, the deer and chipmunks and squirrels that wandered through the yard and all the quiet places to relax outside. Oh, and the hot tub was divine!
The only slight negatives were that the third bedroom had no closet or dresser, so it would have been a little difficult to live out of a suitcase for more than a couple of days. The other two bedrooms had plenty of space, though. That third bedroom also had no window coverings on one wall of windows, so it was bright in the morning and lacked privacy for changing clothes in there at night with the lights on. And maybe they were just part of the welcoming committee and mountain house charm, but there were a lot of spiders, some of them really BIG, inside the bedrooms and rest of the house, that my girlfriends and I weren't really thrilled to have as roommates.

This is our second time to visit the House at Forest Hills. My daughter and I were so at peace and it was like going home again. Everyone involved with this house has always been wonderful and so kind. It is immaculate and welcoming. I hope to make another visit in the future.

Our first experience renting and won't be the last. My family stayed a couple of nights in early January, we had beautiful weather, beautiful views, and a beautiful house. Having a family of five makes hotel stays difficult especially as the kids get older. This gave us the opportunity to spread out and make our vacation seem like a home away from home. Wish we could have stayed longer. I would definitely recommend staying here to family and friends!

We loved this place. Cabin-like, amazing view of Pikes Peak, deer in the yard, close to town but could not tell, beautiful yard, awesome deck with the view, master has a great view, great-sized kitchen table, nice and well-stocked kitchen, BBQ grill, hot tub, very nice rooms. Clean and beautiful place. Owners were very communicative and organized, they had all the extras available just in case. Thank you!

The view out the front of the house is spectacular!!! We enjoyed many moments from the front deck! So many pretty birds to watch along with deer made the outdoors so enjoyable! The home was very clean and offers very comfortable beds! Innkeepers were responsive and delightful! We loved our time in this beautiful home!!

Photos absolutely do not do this place justice. It is breathtakingly stunning. The house was amazing the innkeepers downstairs were the best! So very nice and accommodating! But barely even knew they were there. Felt very homey and just all over amazing. Saw quite a few deer in the area and absolutely loved the views from the house. The hottub was one of my absolutely favorite amenities and honestly we did not want to leave at all! Already planning our vacation for next year and plan on bringing the whole family!

I wish I lived in this house! Peace, calm and the most beautiful view of Pike’s Peak outside the window. Nothing was missing and more than we could ever have asked for as far as amenities. Best of all was the unique character of the house, it’s furnishings and the artwork from the owner. We loved the inspirational quotes in the master bedroom. Honestly, if I could stay there every year, I would go back for this house even if we did nothing else in the area.
