About this house rental
Oceanfront rentals at Beach House Incognito. Located just 2 kms. South of Dominical, nestled between mountainous rainforest and tropical beach, right on the Ocean. Enter and exit your oceanfront hideaway through an electric security gate that ensures your privacy.
Choose from our large 2 story beach house that sleeps up to 6, with 2 bedrooms, the master with a California king bed and 2 twins, the 2nd bedroom has a queen bed. Each bedroom has a large on suite bath room. The beach house has a 2 car garage. Or our 1 bedroom guest cottage with a queen in the bedroom, and a double sleeper/sofa, that can accommodate up to 4. The sleeper/sofa works for 1 or 2 kids, or a single adult. This cottage will not accommodate 4 adults comfortably since there's only 1 bath, and you know, you're on vacation, so enjoy yourselves. Better yet, rent our entire place, giving you your very own private resort. Both beachfront house and guest cottage comes with every amenity you could desire to make your vacation a memorable one. Comfortable lounge chairs surround our large 18 by 36 pool for sun-worshippers, or if you prefer a shady spot, choose one of the numerous hammocks or rocking chairs for reading, relaxing, or a siesta.
Our beach front home is $300/night off season, and $340/night high season. The cottage is $150/night year round. With a 4 night minimum. Our property is a lush garden with numerous flowering plants, that attract tons of butterflies, and hummingbirds. Many types of birds pass through daily, in search of their breakfast of mangoes, papayas, and bananas, all growing on the property. Our local iguanas are constantly competing with the birds, for whatever fruit is available. A cup of coffee, a rocking chair, with the sites and sounds of the Pacific Ocean, playing in the back ground, is my idea of a perfect start to your morning. It just doesn't get any better than this.! Please help our maids! They work very hard keeping our place in top condition. We appreciate their hard work and we reward them by giving them Holidays off to spend with their families. In order to keep our prices low we request a 4 night minimum at our beach front home or our guest cottage. Thanks. Greg

Right on ocean and close to town. Had fun up at waterfall.

This beach house was a great location get to Quepos, Dominical, and Uvita. We stayed 9 nights and had plenty of activities with a 30 minute drive. The house is excellent with a pool and being on the beach provides endless entertainment. Greg is a phenomenal host making sure everyone has what they need. We would definitely stay here again!

Amazing property right on the beach that was comfortable and spacious.
Greg was very friendly and shared his knowledge of the area as well as making us some great BBQ wings. We enjoyed all the wildlife as well as the beach/pool. This is one of Our favorite areas in Costa Rica and Beach House Incognito was the perfect spot. Thank you for sharing it with us.

We stayed here for 5 nights and this house was fantastic! Communication with Greg was quick and easy before we even arrived. Rony, the surf legend, was the property manager at the time and he was just the absolute best! He taught the kids how to surf and recommended several local places to us, none of which disappointed. The house is even roomier than it appears in the pictures and the pool and view can't be beat. Gated entry gave that extra layer of security. If this property is on your 'maybe' list, just go ahead and book it. Thank you Greg and Rony for an amazing week in your beautiful home and country!

This is a beautiful location and a great home for families with young children. We were there with daughter’s family. It was our third trip to CR from the states and their first. We were close to everything and the kids lived in the pool and on the beach. We were lucky enough to catch an algae bloom and see bioluminescence 3 nights in a row! My one piece of advice would be to make sure you rent the whole property. We had the cottage for half of the time and we enjoyed it more when it was just our family on site because we felt less worried about bothering anyone.

Wonderful place. It's our second time in Incognito beach house.
Place looks like paradise. House is very clean and comfortable. Ocean is just 50 yards from the house and just amazing. Practically private beach. Coconut and banana palms on the property with fruits. Amazing flowers.
Lyle was very helpful, we had everything we needed, even boogie boards for swimming..
Loved our vacation. Will be back for sure.

We are a family of 5 with 3 little kids we stayed at Beachouse incognito for 10 days. The pictures don’t do justice: kitchen, master bath, upstairs area are much bigger than pictured. Grocery store and restaurants are few mins from the house. Lyle (care taker) made sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. Even helped us arranging last min surf lessons and snorkel/Corcovado trips. We enjoyed the sunset everyday and walking on the beach during low tide spotted tropical fishes, sea urchin, crabs, star fish. Well worth it!

Excellent 5 day stay at Beach House Incognito!
Great communication with property manager Lyle. We most definitely appreciated all of the attention to detail. We will be back! Punta Vida Lyle! Thanks for everything!
Best Regards,

We loved our stay at BHI. The house, the pool and location on the beach were unbeatable. It wouldn't hurt to bring earplugs for the night as trucks can be loud, but that did not take away from the experience.

My family just spent three days and rented the entire property - having visited CR many times all over this is by far the best place to get the beach experience. Not many rentals will offer you beach front access but this one does and trust me you won't regret it. The place has all the amenities you need. Just free your beer and something to grill - everything else is there (even the ice). Pura Vida and we can't wait to go back.

This place is a hidden gem! Lyle, the property manager, was super kind and helpful with any needs or questions we had! Also pictures online do not do this home justice. This super private house is right on a nearly private beach. Would highly recommend this property for families and friends. We only used the main house but the property also has a small guest house available to accommodate larger groups. My only recommendation would be to get a professional to take some good photos to better represent what this awesome place has to offer! Many thanks to Lyle and the home owner for making such a nice place for our family to enjoy!

We stayed during COVID times. The property was great as we had the beach right in front and a great pool to be at when the beach ‘closed‘ at 2:30pm. There was no need to leave the house at anytime so we were able to stay in our “bubble“.
The balconies were dangerous for our toddler but we were warned in advance by the property manager. We did not leave our son unattended at anytime.
Overall great stay for a nice family time.

The Beach House Incognito is all as advertized. Right on the ocean, awesome views. Sorrounded by trees and vegetation. It feels like you are in your own private island. The swiming pool is large and very inviting.
We rented both the house and the cottage which I recommend so that you can enjoy the whole property.
There is a very nice BBQ area for cook outs, with all the ustensils and gadgets you will need for cooking.
The beach side of the house looks quite rustic and untouched. You can see the sunset pefectly from the beach, absolutely gorgeous.
The rooms and bathrooms are spacious and comfortable.
Lyle, the host, is a great guy, he is around most of the time and will be happy to help you with anything you may need.

This was our second stay at Casa Incognito and it is one of the few houses that are located on the beach in this area. We love that we can instantly be at the beach as soon as we wake up. The pool is large and has comfortable chairs and there are plenty of places to sit in the shade around the property. The indoor furniture is a little dated but the beds are comfortable. The new bathroom downstairs with two shower heads is awesome though! The cottage on the property rents separately so if you're hoping to have it all to yourself, you will need to rent both. The caretaker is very helpful and was available when we needed his help and otherwise doing his own thing. We hope to be back there some day. Pura Vida!

This entire experience was fantastic from beginning to end! We rented both the beach house and guest cottage, and as others have stated, pictures do not do them justice. The property was absolutely gorgeous, and everything was spotless. We were looking for a place that was not going to be overrun with tourism. A place where we could get away from the crowds and relax. This was exactly what we were looking for. Greg ,the owner, was wonderful. Any emails we sent him were answered very quickly. Alex, the concierge, was absolutely fantastic! We had some issues with our rental car in San Jose, we called Alex and he took care of it right away! When we arrived at the house we realized we had left passports in the hotel safe. Again, Alex came to the rescue, called the hotel staff and had it taken care of. Anything we needed was taken care of right away! I cannot say enough about this property and Greg and Alex. Everyone in our group had the best time. I actually cried as we were backing out of the driveway. Such a wonderful experience, and we will be back!

Just returned from our second stay at Incognito (first was in Feb 2013) and once again it was even better than expected. I guess I am just repeating what everyone else seems to be saying, but it is definitely worth repeating - this place is great!! Just our opinion, but we think this is the all around nicest strip of beach we have ever visited (Costa Rica or anywhere) - pretty, clean, uncrowded, quiet (OK, you need to be careful of rocks if surfing or swimming, but the rocks add to the beauty). And the same goes for the property of course - pretty, clean, quiet, well-maintained. The house is bright and comfortable, and nicely furnished. Comfortable beds. Bookshelves full of interesting reading material. Relaxing in the hammocks, or in the sparkling clear pool. Using the nice new grill (and well appointed kitchen) to cook the fish and shrimp that we bought down the road from the local pescador. Taunting the resident iguanas. Listening to the crashing waves at night. And we always look forward to seeing Alex, who is helpful beyond belief, and good company as well. Our only complaint is that we had to leave. Can't wait to come back - maybe two weeks next time!

We were a group of two couples that stayed for a week in the Beach House. I've stayed in other home rentals, but none have compared to this one. The dark sand beach is beautiful, especially at low tide. There were no mosquitos or no-see-ums! The house has air conditioning in both bedrooms and in the main living space. To ensure a balanced review, the only issues that came up were some smells at times (typical in a warm/moist environment from my experience), some road noise that was due to rerouting of truck traffic around a closure of the main highway going to Panama, and just the fact that the pool and grounds are shared with whoever is renting the small house. In our case, the couple renting the small house were great, and we truly enjoyed getting to know them. But these are relatively minor issues and the only reason I didn't give it a perfect five stars. Overall, as others have stated, the home/grounds/beach are excellent. Definitely the best swimming pool I've experienced in a home rental. And Alex was absolutely fantastic at making reservations for anything we wanted!! We will definitely come back!

This property was all and more as described on line. Beautiful in every way with close proximity to shops and stores. The beach is only a few steps away.
Would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a great get away location.

We visit incognito house beach for a tiny end year vacation. We travel with 4 kids and some adults.
The experience was very nice.
The house is full equipment in the kitchen and has 2 bedrooms comfortables. In the 2nd floor there's a large room with a king size bed and a sofa for two. The sofa had an air bed.
You can put another air bed in the floor to more people to sleep in.
The conditioned air fail all the time in this bedroom.
In the principal floor there's another bedroom with a queen bed, bathroom; so comfortable for a couple to sleep.
The house has a large pool and you can walk to the beach by the house! You can't have to use the car to go to the beach and walk in the sand.
The high tides arrive near to the backyard; for that reason there wasn't camping people and you have almost a private beach in Dominicalito!
Dominical has a supermarket, there're some restaurants and food to deliver.
If you want to know new beaches, you can go around to Ventanas, Ballena even Manuel antonio National Park.
The beaches are rocky and the sand is dark but we enjoy the warm water, the trees that bring you a big shadow abd 2 km o a large beach to walk and get tan.
The little cottage was rented for an aged couple. Not a problem for us, but the pool and BBQ area is for both houses.
Alex help all the time and give you information about the activities to do and the house owner answer your mails so quickly.
I would appreciate more information about the check out time before we arrive, because we have to leave the house at 7:30 am for another family check in at 10 am.
Incognito is a beatiful destiny to go with family and enjoy the beach.

Our three night stay at casa incognito was the highlight of our 16 day journey through costa rica. Alex, the concierge went above and beyond to make every aspect of our stay as convenient and fun as possible. He provided exceptional service before we arrived. Our flight to San Jose arrived very late in the evening. While planning our trip, We were searching for transportation from San Jose to Dominical on the night of our arrival. Needless to say, it was hard to find a service willing to start a 3 hour journey at 11:30pm. The cheapest driver I could find quoted us $350. I emailed Alex to ask if he knew of other options, and to my surprise, he called a friend who offered to make the drive for $150. The driver was waiting at the airport when we arrived with a sign showing my last name. It couldnt have been easier. Not only that, he stopped at a grocery store on the way and had coolers with ice packs prepared for us to store our food. We arrived in Dominical at 2:30am with all the food we needed, and alex stayed up to welcome us. The entire property was even more beautiful than we had imagined, the pictures online do not do it justice. The next day Alex stopped by and gave us very useful information about the area. He drove us to town that morning and gave us great recommendations for the best surf school, an affordable taxi service, and recommendations for where to eat. Our entire stay in Dominical went smoothly and flawlessly thanks to his helpfulness and knowledge of the area. When it was time for us to leave, he arranged a "monkey bus" service to take us to panama. It ended up being faster, more affordable, more comfortable, and much more convenient than standard Costa Rican bus services. The Monkey bus picked us up directly outside Casa Incognito on the morning of our departure, and Alex waited with us to make sure everything worked out. Needless to say, his expertise and willingness to help made our stay in Dominical absolutely perfect. Overall, the stunningly beautiful property combined with Alex's top notch service made Dominical the highlight of our vacation. On a scale from 1-10, id rate our stay at casa incognito an 11. Thanks for everything Alex and I apologize for taking so long to write a review. Pura vida!
Ps: Alex's dog "baggs" is a pretty cool dude himself.

We stayed for four nights mid April 2014. We used the beach house & cottage, for three adults and four children. They were spotless and had everything we needed. We had our own pool, outdoor showers, the beach as our front yard, which felt like our own private beach area. I went to sleep with the sounds of the pacific and awoke with views that made my soul at ease. Lizards everywhere!! Alex, was amazing. Everything we needed was immediately provided. He even watched the kids for a couple of hours so the adults could go enjoy a night with the Tico's (that was brave of you Alex!). He gave us a personal tour of the area, where to rent boards, the best ceviche, best smoothies, best fish market, called cabs for us, called our rental car company, and most of all, provided some good laughs and great company.
I wanted a beach front location that allowed us to relax and take in our surroundings. This was the spot. Hoping I will make it back there some day! Many thanks to Incognito!!!!

You could not ask for a better location. Private and quiet on a beautiful stretch of beach that you can have practically to yourself any time of day. Plus a nice large pool, a nicely landscaped yard, and all the ammenities you could want. It was great to meet Greg (the owner) and spend some time chatting with Alex and listening to his endless supply of travel stories. The location is a perfect spot for exploring Dominical, Uvita, San Isidro, and the surrounding area. There is no shortage of interesting places to eat (make sure to try Por Que No?, Jolly Roger's, Roadshack Deli, and Charter). Even better, get the fresh Tuna from the fresh fish "window" just down the street and grill up some BBQ yourselves. Great (and cheap) fresh fruit is available everywhere, including pineapples, cantelopes, and watermelons for $1 each, and big juicy mangoes for 60 cents. Explore the crazy dirt roads with your 4WD for some great views and maybe some wildlife sightings. We saw a troop of Howler Monkeys on an off-road excursion. Fun tours we did were the Hacienda Baru zip-lines, horseback riding to Nauyaca waterfalls (complete with insane cliff jumping for the thrill seekers), and whale/dolphin scouting with Bahia Adventuras (we saw dolphins!). The fruit and vegetable market (Thu) in San Isidro was also fun to see, as were the surfers at Playa Hermosa. The "guest house" was perfect for the two of us with a fully equiped kitchen, AC, and a great porch facing the ocean. We are already planning another two weeks at this hidden paradise. Some lessons learned from our first trip are as follows. Let Alex help you rent a car through a local company like Wild Rider. We rented through Alamo/National/Travelocity and got jerked around for HOURS over the quoted ins. rates and ended up paying more than Wild Rider's all-inclusive quote. Also let Alex book your excursions. He knows all the best providers and can sometimes get better rates. It was so helpful to have him around the property when we needed him. His "tour around town" was VERY useful, and we even saw White face monkeys at a great hill-top bar that we probably would have never found on our own. He'll show you where to find the bank, the pharmacy, the best grocery stores, and anything else you need to find, even which of the multitude of Ceviche stands to try (and you should try it!). If you go, say hi to Baggs for us...what a sweet dog :-) A true adventure and also a relaxing and educational vacation.

I am writing this review from Nosara, Costa Rica where we opted to burn up the last stint of our Costa Rican vacation.
I am not knocking Nosara, I swear (its beautiful) buuuut after the past couple weeks of bliss down in Dominical we have been asking ourselves all day long.... "WHAT the ---- were we thinking, leaving Beach House Incognito??"
Big Love to the whole posse at BHI. This was our second stay in as many years and was every bit as awesome. Nothing but good to say...
Alex (and Baggsie)... perfect, per the usual. Thank you.
If we hear another bad Jack Johnson cover tune coming from a bar here in Nosara tonight we might just be calling to see what your availabilty is for later in the week:)

This was the most wonderful place we have ever stayed at while on a tropical vacation. The place was beautiful and well maintained along with anything we needed was taken care of by Alex on the grounds there. We had perfect weather and a fabulous time. The beach was right out in front and a pool on the grounds. We have nothing but positive things to say about this place and will definitely stay there again. There were nice restaurants nearby, plenty of things to do and see and yet we felt we had our own privacy to just get some good quality R&R. This place is a must...the place is gated so you don't have to worry about anyone bothering you and your things. We rate this with the highest ratings one could give a place. A must see and experience!

What an incredible place to stay in Costa Rica! Its a perfect place to stay with a Family and I can see a couple staying in the villa next to the larger home. Being a city boy all my life....and getting to hear the ocean 24 hours instead of cars, traffic, sirens, etc.....was truly a peaceful enlightenment for me.
Their description was honest but they could add many more comforts I experienced, as for their photo's again they could have added more to show off how wonderful this property is to stay maybe even considering a video, but I think that's where the title "incognito" comes in. The property was very clean and well maintained interior and exterior. We went to many locations while staying, Domenica was for shopping and fresh fruits, but we also traveled up to the mountains to La Tarde to hike in the rain forest. We visited the Monkey Park at the Beach not too far from the property. We saw crocodiles in their natural habitat. We love the Eco-environment in Costa Rica, it proves it works.
My daughter absolutely loved it and having the pool there was perfect due to the high tides going swimming in the ocean would have been a challenge so she was perfectly fine swimming in the property pool 24hrs if we would have let her.
But more on the human nature side, Mr. Alex is such a wonderful person, he would overhear a concern and immediately give his input to make any issue easier. Due to a bad storm we had WiFi issues and immediately Mr. Alex went out to visit whomever to get it fixed and it was. I grilled some fish and Mr. Alex suggested a Banana Leaf to wrap the fish.....which by the way is on the property. He introduced us to coconut milk straight from the coconut from the property.....he introduced me to pure pineapple slices on the grill...which everyone loved. There was never a moment where Mr. Alex was not there to assist or suggest ideas or help. I enjoyed his conversations and his positive energy to remind me to relax and enjoy. Just a great guy and one of the reasons I will be going back to Costa Rica and staying at Incognito.
Thank you!
Respectfully - Francis, Kelly and Sydney

My wife and I along with our children 9 and 16 spent two weeks at Beach House Incognito in May and I have nothing but good things to say about it. The location is superb, right on the northern end of Dominicalito Beach, which most times you have all to yourself. When the tide is right you can walk, run, explore the rocks and tide pools, or just sit under the shade of the almond trees that overhang onto the edge of the beach.
Greg, the owner is great, and Alex provides as much or as little of his services, which can include all sorts of concierge, as you wish. He is very knowledgable about the area and will gladly arrange tours or just point you in the right direction.
There are nearby markets to get groceries and Uvita, just 8km south has even better offerings. Just a bit further south is Ojochal which has more restaraunts to offer and is becoming known as a culunary hot spot. Just up the mountain is San Isidro which has a great fruit and vegetable market on Saturdays and some nice spots overlooking the valley and ocean for lunch. Just ask Alex if you arent sure where to go.
