We stayed here for our son's graduation from SU. It is an amazing house!!! It was extremely clean. The house had everything we would ever need and then some. Doug, the host, was kind enough to stop by and make sure we had everything we needed and gave us great recommendations foe places to eat. We would definitely come back!

This charming and rustic waterfront property was just perfect for our 2 week stay. So much to do and peaceful when you wanted to relax and read. Close to to much but far enjoy away! The house is equipped with so much. Everything was perfect.

The cabin is absolutely gorgeous. Every amenity is accounted for and more! The location is supreme - right on the lake. We relaxed by the firepit every night roasting smores, watched the sun set and enjoyed sitting on the dock drinking our coffee in the mornings. We went kayaking, played games and bbq'd. Sylvan Beach is just a few minutes drive up the road. We brought our gandkids and they had a wonderful time. Doug was a very attentive and friendly host. We would definitely come back.

We had an amazing and relaxing vacation in this spotless and well appointed lake house. Grocery stores and restaurants are a quick 10-15 mins away. Even on a rainy day the 8 of us were able to relax and enjoy the space without feeling like we were on top of one another. The lakefront has lots of shade and can still get sun if you want to. Really made me wish we had a boat — as there was space for one, and Oneida lake is huge! Would go back in a heartbeat!

Lovely lake house
This house was amazing! Everything a renter could possibly want/need. Peaceful setting. Kids had a ball swimming and kayaking. Unfortunately, no fish were caught, but that didn't diminish the fun we had. Highly recommend this house for a perfect summer getaway,

Summer Vacation
This property is fabulous! Great location, spotlessly clean and fully stocked for a very comfortable stay. The views of the lake are incredible!
Doug made check-in a breeze and was there to answer any questions we had.
We took a easy trip to Cooperstown on a rainy day. Sylvan Beach is always fun as well. We also tried Buckingham Market in Constantia if you're looking for something other than a chain grocery store - people were really nice!

As owner Doug promised, the house was “clean as a whistle.” We were attending graduations in Syracuse and I wished we stayed even longer than four nights! Lake was beautiful and the owners have everything you need for summer fun and relaxing. 5+++ stars.

Booked water front cabin for an ice fishing weekend. The cabin and the location did not disappoint!
The cabin is even better in person. Very clean, very organized, very spacious, and overlooks Oneida Lake. It was a perfect location for ice fishing departure. Doug, the owner, is super friendly and helpful. He kept the driveway snow free and pointed out some good ice fishing spots. I can not wait to come back! Thanks for a beautiful stay

Relaxing escape
This beautiful, well appointed cottage on Oneida was a pleasant escape from the hustle/bustle of everyday life.
Although it is a fisherman’s haven, we enjoyed just RELAXING with wine, board games, nature hikes within a few minutes’ drive (and PINGPONG!!!). We also made use of the BEAUTIFUL kitchen, preparing farmstand goodies. The village of Sylvan Beach is a charming beach resort, a little quiet after Labor Day. But there are still a few great restaurants to visit.

Family vacation with little children
The house was beautiful and spotless. The owner Diug helped with anything we needed or asked him. Wonderful experience and going to Sylvan beach carnival at night was the highlight forthe little kids. The kayaks and campfires were amazing. Will definitely be back next year. Exceeded expectations!
Sometimes it's the little things! The furniture not only looks great but is comfortable. The towels were not only plentiful but thick and thirsty. There was not only a firepit but wood too! Not only was there one kayak there were 4! The kitchen is beautiful and came with a stocked cabinet of spices! Everything was perfect!

Gorgeous lakeside retreat
Companies talk these days about "exceeding expectations" but rarely achieve it. Doug's wonderful camp did just that - we were blown away. The photos don't do it justice. The beautiful great room has high ceilings and picture windows that make you feel like the lake is right in your living room. Every comfort of home was available, every nuance thought of: State of the art washer and dryer, dishwasher, not just one fridge but an extra one in the garage, granite countertops, an immense kitchen island that we all seemed to congregate around and was great for our Saturday night poker game. Most rental camps have sparsely furnished kitchens but this one had everything. Nice pots and pans, all the utensils you'd have at home, dishes and glassware galore.
But most importantly, the camp was right on the water. There was a private dock as well as a sandy bottom to enter the water in. And the water itself was clean and warm (as warm as it ever gets in CNY!) We never saw neighbors directly to the left or right so it was like having a little corner of the lake all to ourselves. There were kayaks and life preservers, a ping pong table, and various games and puzzles. Finally, Doug and his sister were the best kind of hosts -immediately responsive when you needed something, but unintrusive and welcoming.
Can't wait to book our stay next year!

We enjoyed lawn games on the front yard, dinner on the picnic table next to the lake, kayaking, fire pits, and riding our bikes into Sylvan Beach for dinner and ice cream. Family week
We cannot express enough how wonderful this property is. The owner has paid such attention to detail that we lacked for nothing. All we had to bring were our clothes and food. Having a washer and dryer was a treat. Two bathrooms was also an added bonus. It is extremely clean and the owner lives close by and is there if you need anything. The yard is perfect to enjoy both day and evening. Our family of eight just absolutely loved the way we were able to relax, play games, swim and have family dinners. This is definitely one that should not be missed! Thank you Doug for such a beautiful week.

Absolutely Amazing Vacation Home
From the moment we walked in and met the owner, we were overwhelmed with how beautiful this home is. Doug is extremely accommodating and there was not one thing we needed. Everything is of the highest quality and there is just so much space! We booked again for next year and feel we have found our new vacation spot! We had a great stay at Doug's place. The cottage is beautiful and well stocked. It is nice how the kitchen and living room is one large open space for everyone to hang out. The AC was able to keep us cool on some very hot summer days.

You can't go wrong booking this house!
The house is directly waterfront, on the 4th of July we sat outside and watched fireworks across the lake from at least 20 cities, your eyes couldn't keep up with the sights. The house is beautiful huge windows overlooking the lake, top of the line appliances, croquet, bocce ball, kayaks and swimming will keep anyone entertained endlessly. I will be booking this house again and again.

Everything you could want or need is here. Boat launch very close. Sylvan beach very close. Several flea markets in area. The house was beautiful. The lake, the boat sling, the kayaks, fire pit. The kitchen is gorgeous. The bedrooms are large. Fireplace...wow. Helpful and very nice owner. Its worth it! 3 sisters, thier spouses and our 80 yrs old mother had a relaxing week spending time together. We plan on returning.

Wonderful Stay! Everything was perfect!
While the details mentioned by the owner in this listing are accurate, the rental property was even better than described! The home was clean and well-equipped. It was evident that Doug thoughtfully selected the quality furnishings, appliances, and even the linens. The kitchen and living room areas were spacious, attractive, and perfect for socializing. This home included a small bar area, several comfy seating areas in the living room, a dining room table with seating for six, along with six additional stools around the island. This open-concept area was very inviting. The huge windows looked out over the yard and the lake. The space was bright and cheerful with natural light during the day, while the special lighting fixtures provided ambiance in the evening. On warmer days, there were two air conditioners in the main living area, with additional window units in each of the bedrooms. We were always very comfortable, and we had some days when it was really hot and humid outside. The kitchen was impressive. It was new, with great cabinets, granite counter-tops, and high-end appliances. Everything we needed to make and clean up after our meals was provided: silverware, dishware, pots/pans, knives, cutting boards, a dishwasher, large stove/oven, and much more. I think it is important to mention that while the kitchen refrigerator was spacious. there was an additional full-size refrigerator/freezer in the garage! We kept extra drinks in this refrigerator. Not to be understated; there was also a ping pong table in the garage! There were two spacious, well-appointed bathrooms, as well as a great laundry area with large capacity washer/dryer. This was very convenient! Outside, there was a nice yard area with seating situated around a campfire, and additional seating: lawn chairs, double swing, picnic table, and umbrella table. We brought our 19 foot Tracker fishing/sport boat. While there was a dock, the electric boat lift was sufficient for our boat, as well as convenient. In closing, Doug was attentive, polite, helpful, and patient throughout the entire process. We will remember the times spent hanging out around the kitchen island, having ping pong tournaments in the garage, making s'mores around the campfire, and SO many hours spent on the lake fishing and tubing. Every year we join my brother and his family for a vacation. We were so thankful that we selected this rental property to enjoy together with our children.
